Tumblr media
choi beomgyu x male reader
summary: where you express your feelings for him through small gifts.
Tumblr media
it started with a keychain.
a soft, cute plush bear.
now hanging from his bag, serving as a reminder. that voice still rang in his head.
'it reminded me of you.'
you and beomgyu had been sitting side by side on a lone brick wall near the college building, sipping cheap vending machine drinks and store-bought snacks.
you jolted up right— suddenly remembering something— dug into your bag, and held out the little bear.
beomgyu looked at it. then at you. then back at the keychain.
"... that for me?"
you nodded. shoving the gift into his hands.
"thought you'd like it. reminded me of you"
he tried to suppress a smile, but the small twitch of his lips betrayed him. "you think i look like one?"
"yeah. soft. kinda dumb," a teasing glint in your eyes.
"hey!" he said, giving you a playful shove.
"you do know you can just compliment me, right? no need to insult me."
"dunno. have to balance it out, i have a nonchalant persona to maintain." you replied with a smirk.
that set him off giggling, "you're so stupid."
he clipped it to the zipper of his backpack, deciding not to think too hard about it, but his chest felt a little too warm for a late fall morning.
it became a habit.
a small box containing a silver bracelet inside with a little guitar charm.
a leather-bound notebook for him write lyrics in— once you noticed it was a hobby of his.
a pack of cookies left on his desk when you realized he often forgot to bring lunch.
each time, you said the same thing.
he never made a big fuss, playing it off with playful jokes and teasing smiles.
but he kept everything. you noticed.
"you know," beomgyu said one day, while he laid under a tree, finding shapes in the clouds drifting past. "most people flirt with compliments."
the boy beside him stretched, arms crossed behind his head. "you think my method’s inferior?"
"i think you're oddly consistent," he replied, still gazing at the sky.
you turned to look at him. "consistency is romantic."
"...and kinda annoying." he retorted back, teasing.
you smirked. "still carrying the keychain?"
beomgyu said nothing.
he didn’t need to.
the cd came next.
it was a quiet friday night when you knocked on his dorm door, holding a plastic case with a cracked corner and messy handwriting on the front.
'soft hours. play me when...'
"you made me a mixtape?" beomgyu asked, genuinely surprised.
"don't make it weird," you mumbled. "they're just... songs for different occasions or ones i listen to when i think about you. it's whatever, really."
beomgyu's heart was doing flips. he turned over the cd, reading the tracklist, smiling to himself. "this is... really sweet."
"shut up. just play it already."
both of you sat cross-legged on the dorm floor, leaning against the edge of the bed. listening to the soft hum of acoustics and the occasional pop beats— just enjoying each other's presence.
beomgyu started returning the favor.
little things.
a tea bag labeled 'for your stress.'
a note on your desk: 'don't stress yourself out. drink water and take a nap.'
phone stickers of silly little animals.
then came winter.
snow dusted the courtyard. every student bundled in scarves and mittens, hands buried in jacket pockets.
your nose turned red. beomgyu's hands were always cold.
you didn't talk about what you were, didn't put a label to it. not yet.
but you shared more time, more space.
so when you handed him a box one late december evening—grey paper, black ribbon— beomgyu didn’t even question it.
the same gentle routine, the same phrase.
inside the box there was a small handmade ceramic parrot, imperfect. a crack in the glaze, lopsided head.
beomgyu stared at it for a long time. holding it like it was fragile, sacred; something to be preserved.
"...did you make this?"
you nodded. "took a pottery class. you said i needed a hobby,"
"why do you keep giving me things?" his voice was softer than usual, eyes searching your face for something real.
"because i don’t always know how to say things." you looked down, shrugging like it was nothing.
beomgyu took a breath. then—
"say it now."
you looked up, wide eyed. a flicker of vulnerability crossing your features.
finally you gained up the courage.
"you remind me of warm things. the kind of things that make you feel less alone, secure. i like myself when i'm with you. i don't know when i started thinking about you this way, but i did. now i can't stop."
he took a step closer. "you forgot to say something."
you blinked. "what you mean?"
"say you want to kiss me."
you stared at him. then laughed—breathless, nervous.
"i want to kiss you."
so you did.
that was the final gift.
not a mixtape. not a bracelet. not a plushy bear.
just the quiet, slow burn of feelings that had been building over time.
this moment— right here, just the two of you, felt like the most important thing you’d ever hold onto.

@thedl2912 It's been years ago (literally) since you sent this prompt. I hope you're still interested to read what I've written and it is an ask of apologises 🥲 MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Rate/Warnings: SFW, holidays with family, celebration, boys with their crushes
Tumblr media
Let's be honest: they’d cobble together a “tree” out of random sewer junk, decorate it with makeshift ornaments, and exchange gifts they made themselves. Splinter told them stories of Japanese winter traditions.
They embraced Christmas movies and made it a tradition to have a pizza feast while exchanging small but thoughtful gifts. As adults, the brothers celebrate with a mix of their old traditions and new ones involving friends.
The lair is decked out with real decorations (thanks to April!), and they exchange gifts in a Secret Santa style to make it fair for everyone. No one is left from their family celebration!
Tumblr media
Leonardo
As the oldest, Leo took it upon himself to make Christmas feel special for everyone, even when resources were scarce. He’d create small paper ornaments for their "tree" (usually a pile of junk) and try to teach his brothers Christmas songs. His wish list was practical even as a kid—books, training equipment, or a sturdy toy sword;
He tried to uphold family traditions while dealing with his teenage angst. He secretly saved up to give meaningful gifts to his brothers, such as repairing Donnie’s gadgets or crafting a new weapon for Raph. His wish list expanded to include things like martial arts manuals, music that helped him focus, or items that symbolized his leadership (like a notebook or a decorative katana stand);
Leo organizes the festivities, ensuring everyone gets time to celebrate together. With his crush (you), in the mix, he’s more mindful of personal touches in gifts. He’d give you a thoughtful book, or and a beautiful handcrafted ornament. BUT of course, after the family celebration, he would take you to the Empire State Building to watch the sunrise;
For him, the most beautiful view is you;
His wish lis? The leader would likely include items related to meditation, strategy games, or maybe a simple but heartfelt gift from someone special;
Tumblr media
Raphael
Oh, boy. His grumpy face wouldn't help;
"Why is Raph mad?" Casey asked to Mikey, both eating a plate of pizza slice and turkey on the other side of the main space while watching the red-clad turtle;
"Mad? That's his every-day face." Mikey answered naturally;
Baby Raph had a love-hate relationship with Christmas as a kid. He’d grumble about the lack of gifts but secretly made handmade "weapons" for his brothers out of scrap materials. His wish list was all about action—nunchucks, toy weapons, or something adventurous like a kite (even if it wouldn’t fly in the sewers).
As he grows up, our Raph leaned into the "too cool for Christmas" vibe but secretly loved the holiday. He’d participate in his brothers’ antics, like decorating or gift exchanges, while acting indifferent. His gifts were usually practical or funny—he might’ve given Donnie extra screws for his inventions or Mikey a gag gift. Wish list at older age? Leaned toward punching bags, workout gear, or rock band merch.
As an adult, he is still rough around the edges but shows more appreciation for the holiday. He’s likely to make something personal for his friends, like a DIY repair kit for Casey’s gear or a leather bracelet for his crush. Fitness-related items, cool motorcycle accessories, or something handmade by his loved ones.
You here? PERFECT. He might have an angry face, but it doesn't make you step away. And that blush on his big cheeks when you give him simples touches (HEHEHEHEHSJWISNSKSNSJDK) YOU LOVE THAT. Big teddy bear on ACTION;
Tumblr media
Michelangelo
Everybody knows that Mikey is the most excited about Christmas, treating it as an excuse to have fun and spread cheer. He made lopsided decorations out of junk and insisted on singing carols, no matter how off-key.
He doesn't care about his age. Give this boy toys, comic books, art supplies, new flying skateboards, an update for his knuchakos (have no idea how to write his japanese weapon correctly) but, mainly among all of it, PIZZAS. BOXES OF PIZZAS. Anything what can make him feel GREAT! MIKEY happy, family happy!
Ngl Mikey was the one who turned Christmas into a party, convincing his brothers to play games, watch movies, and eat pizza. The family celebration wasn't that exciting before his happiness change everthing. He gave hilarious, heartfelt gifts like drawing portraits of his family or prank items for Raph. He ensures Christmas is a joyful celebration for everyone. He bakes cookies, organizes games, and makes handmade gifts like a scrapbook for April or a painted helmet for Casey. For his crush, he might craft a whimsical piece of art (of himself or of his crush. Maybe both together ;3). He is THE own Michelangelo reencarned!
Want a nice celebration? Call Mikey, the party maker! The only who can bring happiness to reallity!
"All I want for Christmas iiisss... youuuu" He sings, pointing at you.
You chuckled.
*The song beat starts*
The orange-clad turtle kept on: "I don't want a lot for Christmas. There ir one just thing I need-And Iiiiiiii"
"Don't care about the presents underneath Christmas tree. I don't need to hang my stocking there upon the fireplace (ah)"
You two dance a lot, soon Leo, April, Donnie, Casey and Vernon join.
"Why don't you join them, my son?" Master Splinter asks softly, looking up at Raphael.
He crossed his arms over his big chest. "Don' know. No mood."
Splinter only lifts an eyebrow
Raph sighs. "Okay. But ya will join too."
Splinter smiles.
Tumblr media
Donatello
Your beloved nerd would have been fascinated by the lights and mechanics of Christmas. He spent most of his time trying to engineer blinking lights or tiny motors for ornaments (by Mikey's ideas). He would search for information about this special celebration date and tell every single of them to you.
Of course you are interested!
His wish list, since we was a boy, was full of tech: batteries, screwdrivers, or wires to tinker with. Tech guy, tech stuff! Oh, boy... He does love it!
As a teen, Donnie improved his skills becaming the family’s Christmas tech guru, rigging up makeshift string lights and mini projects to wow everyone. He loved gifting his brothers functional gadgets or tech-enhanced weapons. His wish list was predictable—parts for his inventions, rare tech manuals, or a new soldering iron.
He still brings the tech magic to Christmas. He might build a personalized gadget for April, a hockey puck tracker for Casey, or a thoughtful, techy gift for his crush. His wish list is the nerdiest of them all: microchips, rare circuit boards, or a subscription to a science magazine.
"Did you know that the red suit Santa Claus wears today has its origins in the work of several artists, including: Thomas Nast, Haddon Sundblom-"
You grinned "Clement Clarke Moore and Saint Nicholas Myra. But there are a few others, right?"
"Yeah! Like Norman Rockwell and J.C. Leyendecker. Also, did you know that before Coca-Cola's advertisements, Santa was depicted in a variety of ways, including as a gnome or in different colored suits?"

Note
all the mechs have comfort items that the others KNOW they aren’t allowed to mess with and don’t because it would just be really fucked up. besides their instruments ofc, these are the only things completely and utterly off limits, no exceptions.
jonny -> his patchwork quilts. they’re all handmade by him, some of them containing old scraps of clothes or older quilts that fell apart with age.
nastya -> the dress she woke up in after being mechanized. carmilla dressed her in it bc her old clothes were tattered and bloodstained. it’s kinda odd, but it was the first thing that was really hers and as conflicted as she feels about carmilla, that was her mother for a time. she doesnt wear it anymore, but she sometimes holds it while she sleeps.
ashes -> their Lucky Sevens leather jacket. it has dice embroidered on the back. yeah, they betrayed them, but that jacket has seen them through everything and as the last Lucky Seven alive, it’s entirely their own.
tim -> his long coat. it's from old earth and was a gift from bertie. there’s dozens of patches sewn on it. also his dogtags (he likes to run his thumb over the words)
brian -> a string of worry beads that he made on his planet before the whole necromancy incident. he usually keeps them in his pocket and the string has become cluttered with various charms and symbols from the planets they visit.
ivy -> a fluffy mouse stuffed animal. she picked it up on some random planet and just fell in love with it. she has a stuffed animal collection but this one specifically is her comfort object. also kinda her books
marius -> his notebook/sketchbook. he always has it on him in one of his various bags or pockets. it’s leatherbound and ancient and he just binds more paper into it when it gets full, though he’s considering making another.
raphaella -> her lab coat. some of her original feathers from before her mechanization are sewn into the inside. it's also from her home planet and embroidered with la Cognizi.
TS -> the plastic teacup set it was found with. it's unclear if the set was made for it or if it was something it found but nevertheless it guards it
—🕰️
yes!!! absolutely!!! i love this sosososososo much:3

Title: “The Shape of Peace”-TRIGGER PART 4
part 1 2 3
Tumblr media
Snow had settled like powdered sugar over Brooklyn’s rooftops, muffling the city’s usual clamor. Bucky stood at the window, coffee in hand, watching as children bundled in too many layers stumbled through the sidewalk snowbanks. A quiet smile touched his lips—the kind of smile that once felt foreign on his face.
Behind him, the apartment was warm with the scent of cinnamon and something Elena was baking. She moved with ease in the kitchen, humming a soft tune. He didn’t recognize the melody, but it didn’t matter. It was hers. And now, it was his, too.
He’d started leaving the apartment more. The art therapy group had become something he looked forward to—more than he’d expected. One of the other veterans, Marcus, had told him last week, “You don’t need to be whole to start healing.” The words echoed now, like a gentle mantra.
Bucky hadn’t drawn the Winter Soldier in weeks.
He was sketching other things now—street corners he half-remembered from his youth, Elena’s hands, his own reflection when the light hit him just right and he didn’t flinch. Slowly, without fanfare, he was building a new self. One line at a time.
That evening, while sorting through a dusty closet, Bucky found it
A plain metal box, rusted at the corners. Inside: relics. Old dog tags. A faded photo of him and Steve, both grinning like idiots. A tiny leather-bound notebook, the edges worn soft from time.
He sat down on the floor with it, the memories coming slow and heavy.
Elena found him there, cross-legged and silent. She didn’t ask questions, just sat beside him and gently leaned her shoulder into his. After a while, he handed her the photograph.
“This was before the war,” he said quietly. “Before everything went sideways.”
Elena studied the image. “You look the same. Not your face, I mean… but the way you’re smiling. That’s still in you.”
He swallowed thickly. “I didn’t think I’d ever find him again. That version of me.”
She reached for his hand. “He’s been here all along. Just waiting for you to come back.”
That night, Bucky did something he’d been thinking about for months. He took the small metal box, now lighter with one photo pinned to the fridge and the notebook placed gently on the bookshelf, and walked to the rooftop of their building.
The dog tags jangled faintly in his hand. One was his. The other—a Soviet tag, a cruel souvenir of the Winter Soldier.
With a breath that trembled but didn’t falter, he let the second one go. Watched it disappear into the fresh snow. It wasn’t erasing the past—it never could be. But it was a choice.
A choice to move forward.
They celebrated small things now. Clean dishes. Shared laughter. A sunrise. When Elena surprised him with a sketchbook made of handmade paper, Bucky ran his fingers across the cover like it was something sacred.
“You’re building a new life,” she said. “Might as well draw it, too.”
And he did.
Not perfectly. Not quickly. But honestly.
In one sketch, he drew a faceless figure walking toward a rising sun. In another, two hands—flesh and metal—reaching for each other. And in the final one, just for himself, he drew a quiet scene: a man and a woman sitting on a fire escape, wrapped in each other’s peace.
