Rina Lovko “We are a very talented nation. I work with a lot of talented, very hardworking people. We spend our time creating, and creating something new. We are very European-oriented and are strongly connected with Europe. The last eight years has especially shown our authenticity and pride for our country. Our history goes back a thousand years. We have our special language, folklore and culture.” - Rina Lovko, Architect. Rina Lovko is an architect and designer with more than a decade of work behind her eponymous Kyiv-based studio. ‘Rina Lovko Studio’ specialises in bespoke residential interior design - known for incorporating flowing lines and taking inspiration from nature. Trees, mountains, music - everything has its own sound frequency, its own indelible beat. It is this organic state that is at the core of the studio’s projects. It’s manifesto, if you will. With a strong idealistic practice Lovko works solely with natural, sustainable materials. Using her considerable skills Lovko aims to provide her clients with an abundance of new experiences and a better quality of life, through design. Lovko believes that the space, place and client provide the DNA necessary for the creative journey they are about to embark upon. The architects job is to read the situation and create an harmonious aesthetic. #neonurchin #neonurchinblog #dedicatedtothethingswelove #suzyurchin #ollyurchin #art #music #photography #fashion #film #design #words #pictures #architect #designer #harmoniouspace #aesthetics #organic #naturalflow #nature #bespokeresidentialinteriordesign #kyiv #rinalovko #rinalovkostudio (at Ukraine) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcSSpXDs5Lw/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Rina Lovko “When you come to us for the first time, you will most likely be surprised that similar places exist in Kyiv. To all guests, our veranda with its atmosphere resembles European interiors and courtyards, but not metropolitan. We managed to achieve this effect using vintage furniture, an abundance of houseplants, floors made of wide pine boards, white brick walls, a round table under wicker lampshade, and, of course, a small green garden opposite the entrance. The garden is decorated with the Luna street lamp, made by Vasily Grublyak according to my sketch,” - Rina Lovko, Architect. If you want to know how an architect lives - go visit their office. The ‘Rina Lovko Studio’s’ workspace is idyllic. The architect set up shop on the ground floor of a house built in 1895, located in the heart of Kyiv not far from St. Andrew's Descent and Pejzazhna Alley. In the courtyard is the foundation of a church from the 12th century. One can enter the studio from the yard. The veranda is reminiscent in style of Chekhov's times (it was formally the main entrance to the house). The surrounding flora and fauna, glass lattice work, lighting and soft colour palette make this space exceedingly special. #neonurchin #neonurchinblog #dedicatedtothethingswelove #suzyurchin #ollyurchin #art #music #photography #fashion #film #design #words #pictures #architect #designer #harmoniouspace #aesthetics #organic #naturalflow #nature #bespokeresidentialinteriordesign #kyiv #rinalovko #rinalovkostudio (at Ukraine) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcSSkNcMwh0/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

Rina Lovko “The layout of the space, with its complex geometry, created certain difficulties; standard techniques did not work here. But at the same time it excited us professionally.” - Rina Lovko, Architect. When hired to redesign an apartment that featured an unconventional floor plan Ukranian architect Rina Lovko delivered an equally unconventional scheme. The space liberated Lovko allowing her to go in a progressive direction. Lovko took advantage of the daylight flooding through the curved window wall and the client’s yen for flowing lines by reconfiguring the space into an open, airy and artful milieu. Located on the ninth floor of a circular tower in Kyiv’s Pecherskyi district the 2,200-square-foot apartment was originally divided into five enclosed rooms. Lovko combined three of them into a single kitchen/dining/living space that better suited the lifestyle of the clients - a young couple who work in the culinary field. The uber-functional new kitchen, set up for communal cooking and entertaining, centres on a generous island. Despite the rigorous architecture, strict forms and minimum of furnishings “the space turned out to be quite cozy,” (Lovko). #neonurchin #neonurchinblog #dedicatedtothethingswelove #suzyurchin #ollyurchin #art #music #photography #fashion #film #design #words #pictures #architect #designer #harmoniouspace #aesthetics #organic #naturalflow #nature #bespokeresidentialinteriordesign #kyiv #rinalovko #rinalovkostudio (at Ukraine) https://www.instagram.com/p/CcSSesysMyk/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
