#sotr critical#haymitch being a talker is not bad in theory#that's an interesting trait up against his guardedness and his mask of sarcasm & indifference#but it's so annoying how the bad writing in sotr canonized this#like. yeah maybe he is a talker. but not LIKE THAT#tbh it comes across like how peeta is a good conversationalist but he actually gives nothing of himself away to just anyone#bc for all we know about everybody else in sunrise haymitch's life. we hardly know anything about him#for his *inner thoughts/narration*
