I will have Blu-rays next month

By next month when the 55th season finale of Sesame Street premieres on HBO Max, I will have regular Blu-rays & a Blu-ray player because most Blu-rays have 16:9 aspect ratio & it feature 3 HD video qualities: 720p, 1080i for High-definition interlaced video & 1080p. For audio, most Blu-rays used ether 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound for home theater experiences. For televisions, I’ll use 16:9 4K Ultra HD TVs which everybody in my house have nowadays. The Blu-rays had Region A codes, both in the US & my country & both in NTSC formats. The regular Blu-rays are less expensive than the Ultra HD Blu-rays. I will have all the animated movies on Blu-ray old & new, including the ones on Blu-ray 3D. I’ll be looking forward to see Blu-ray menus after I had my own Blu-ray player. By the way, I should never watch Regular Show on Blu-ray ether.

You know what, I'm going to add to this after all. Ray tracing is a gimmick and infamous for how intensive it is on hardware where it updates in real time, such as in video games. Before it was considered at all feasible outside rendering CGI, there were other methods of simulating light that were far easier for hardware to handle and, honestly, the difference between them (I can't remember what the name of the algorithm is) and ray tracing is minimal.

Adding to the problem is video card manufacturers pushing it while not increasing the VRAM on cards that are now expected to handle ray tracing, NPC scripts/AI, all other graphics, and stream encoding at the same time. GPUs have not seen a meaningful increase in VRAM in years despite the push of 4k graphics and ray tracing.

Oh and handling generating in-between frames to increase FPS/hide poor optimisation and up-scaling from 1080p to 4k or 8k. Sometimes both at the same time (in addition to the rest).

Further compounding it is consoles using stripped down versions of GPUs but not allowing users to upgrade them or other hardware. At least not in an easy way that doesn't void the warranty.

There's only so much that can be off-loaded to other components and it is a Choice™ to decide not to include an option to disable features that minimally improve the graphics (I specify graphics since more than one game has been released where turning off ray tracing wasn't the first thing recommended to turn off if you wanted to hit 30+ FPS) but can and do overwhelm GPUs.

Mandatory Ray Tracing should be banned in games. Genuinely absurd to think the majority of consumers are running high performing RTX graphics cards.

tekken 6 and tekken tag tournament 2 look so weird on the xbox one x. like they feel a little.... too enhanced if that makes sense??? like it feels like part of the time they look like. odd full dimensional 3d images but are also. png-ish looking.

Next month when the 55th season finale of Sesame Street premieres on HBO Max, I can say goodbye to 4:3 & 16:9 standard-definition television aka SDTV & say hello to high-definition television aka HDTV in 1080i. HDTV had been around in the United States since 1998, & it does today. Most animated shows in 16:9 aspect ratio (1.78:1) were letterboxed on standard-definition television (usually found on pay television), even Regular Show reruns on Boomerang between May 28th, 2018 & March 3rd, 2019. High-definition television however, still keeps the 16:9 aspect ratio (1.78:1) in all the animated shows, the 4:3 ones are now pillarboxed. I’ll switch to HDTV in Los Angeles & not in Limay, Bataan because analog television in my country didn��t stop until next year. For audio, HDTV used Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound for all animated shows & movies. HDTV features 3 video qualities: 720p, 1080i for interlaced video & 1080p. For televisions themselves, I’ll use 16:9 4K Ultra HD TVs which everybody in my house have nowadays. HDTV in the United States is ATSC which replaced NTSC on June 12, 2009 Friday. By the way, I should never watch Sesame Street on HBO Max ether.

every once in a while I bring out my external hard drive to search for something and mostly I forget what's on there like I have many dramas/shows saved too many to count and I came across this show; was a good one, was pissed that it was cancelled back in day and I loved bella thorne and carter jenkins but what is more funnier is how I saved the folder:

I saved it as HD while it's only 720p 😭 (if you think that we demand in the year of 2024 at least a 4K if not 1080p quality, as high as possible for the outcome). as you can see it was in 2017 and idk but I must've considered 720p as high quality...
