My favourite anime? Hmmm... I don't think I could pick just one. Noragami will always have a very special place in my heart. Always in my top 3 🥰

The plot is so unique, and all the characters are so lovable.

In case you didn't know, the story follows an ancient God, Yato, who is struggling to stay in work in the modern world where no one wishes upon God's anymore. He now performs day to day tasks such as cleaning and store managing for anyone who will pay him, alongside cleansing demons that may plague the humans whilst living on the street. He meets a girl, Hiyori, who accidentally gains the power to leave her body and move around as a spirit.

Yato now must find a way to fix Hiyori whilst keeping work coming, slaying demons and making sure he isn't finished off by other gods along with his Regalia, a spirit boy named Yukine who can turn into a blade. The whole show retains a fairly lighthearted vibe throughout, with some serious fight scenes and drama thrown in. Much like the vibe in Demon slayer or Jujutsu kaisen.

The animation itself is beautiful. The characters are so expressive and full of personality! Yato especially. Voiced by the great Kamaya Hiroshi (Levi, Ranpo, Saiki) in sub and Jason Liebrecht (Dabi) in dub, Yato is truly a wonderful character in both worlds.

With his childish and happy-go-lucky side contrasting his 'I'm literally a God you should worship me' side, it's so amusing to see him desperately trying to scrape together every penny he can in order to get a cold beer. 🥰
