thinking about how jesse has the world's sweetest sweet tooth. if his coffee doesn't taste like syrup, he doesn't want it </3

one thing about jesse is that he has impeccable handwriting. most would assume it'd be a slop (he's a guy, grew up getting his hands dirty, and mostly writes stuff in a rush) but he's pretty careful with how he writes. also, he's ambidextrous, though he favours his right hand for most things, he tends to fall to his left to do a lot of others (signing things, guitar, [censored usfw thoughts]). tldr; he has great handwriting, probably frustratingly so, & it's very similar to his mother's way of writing— small, cursive, lots of loops, occasionally dots his i's with hearts, etc.,

jesse's family has always celebrated christmas the week after, on january 2nd, as his younger sister alma's birthday falls exactly on the 25th. it's somewhat of a family tradition that jesse still kept up when he wasn't/isn't home for the holidays, and so the 25th is usually a normal day for him

HC: regarding friendships/relationships.

the majority of important dynamics in jesse's life have been with women, almost predominately platonically. jesse's mother, his two younger sisters, his manager (sadie), & then a terse past relationship he was in for four years with a model named gabrielle. he's never had a positive male influence in his life, and tends to assume they'd all be like the dynamic he had with his father, who ingrained an idea of masculinity in jesse almost opposite to the one he grew up to have. & his closest friend, a guy named malcolm that grew up with jesse, soured their friendship completely when it was revealed he had been partaking in an affair with jesse's first & now ex-girlfriend, (gabrielle, briefly mentioned above). because of this, jesse tends to gravitate towards friendships with non-men, a habit from growing up close to his sisters. he's close to a few men in his life (including his youngest sister's husband, & his new drummer, ripley, who took over for malcolm after his affair became public), but tends to be more skeptical of guys he doesn't know because of his upbringing, being reminded quite frequently of his father in the men he meets, & trying to avoid anything that reminds him of the toxic masculinity he grew up repelling.
