How do you think lee saiki would laugh?? 🤔

He would nearly explode his lungs trying NOT to laugh bc he does not want to give his ler the satisfaction but, alas, he’s still human. I think he has a quiet wheezy laugh cuz he’s not used to speaking aloud, full of grunts and hiccups as he tries to hold it in. Saiki JUMPS like he did after he lost his powers because he does not expect himself to be so vulnerable. He doesn’t protest verbally, but in his mind it’s a mess of panicked curses and “why is it so bad” and denial that he’s actually having fun. A little encouragement and his laugh gets brighter and more childlike and he blushes the same way he does when tasting coffee jelly. It’s the kind of laughter no one expects to hear from him and they‘re way too excited about it, to his embarrassment 🩷

personally i think not italicising the honorifics is better to read! in actuality it’s fine, i just tend to read italicised letters with emphasis so reading “an-chan” over and over again would feel a bit weird. but that’s just an opinion!! both work 👍

Very good point!! I was mostly wondering what would be correct from a grammatical angle, but hey, it’s fanfic. As long as it’s readable, who cares about perfectly proper grammar??

i think using honorifics a good way to show characters’ relationships and personalities in writing!! like how atsushi uses -san for everyone, or how kunikida doesn’t even use honorifics for people unless they’re someone like yosano. if you can remember what honorifics everyone uses in canon, go for it

i’ve had some issues writing bsd ships like this (for example: i don’t know how sigma would refer to kunikida or the ada members besides dazai because they’ve never interacted in canon) but i think most of the time/with other media it isn’t much of a problem

Truueeee!! I was also thinking about the way Atsushi refers to people when I presented my query, like saying “Dazai-san” doesn’t have the same energy as “Mr. Dazai.” And figuring out what chrs who’ve never interacted with each other would call each other is part of the fun ig lolll

Now the question is, should the honorific be italicized (e.g. An-chan vs. An-chan)??

Pfft- Oh yeah, trust me, I am the KING of being clueless on love. I am genuinely lucky I've only ever romantically loved one person and that person was through-and-through my other half XD. If I were to tell little me one thing, it would be, 'Just live.' live through it, experience it, enjoy it. Things don't need to be defined and you know what? Love isn't quantifiable. It's just one of those things.

HEhehee, you just *know* who it is! You reblogged a post about wanting an actual definition for romantic love, and I got summoned from the DEPTHS- So, as your adoptive Tumblr anon guardian (🎀Anon, where you at, back me up on this! XD), I can help! Okay, *granted*, this isn't necessarily romantic love but love in general (platonic, romantic, familial, and literally everything else that falls under the love umbrella~!). The definition? Simple. 'Home'. That's all there is to it. If you consider a person to be 'home', you love them to bits ^^.

As for romantic love, you just *know* when you're not thinking about it. Like, if you think you have a crush but you don't hyperfixate on the fact that it's a potential crush, in due time, it'll just click into place. The thing to remember is that you can't choose love or force love, it just happens and hits you in the head and heart like a freaking brick for no good reason XD. Whether or not you overthink it won't change the feeling itself. That's why I say specifically *do not* hyperfixate on it. Because if you leave it alone, it'll grow and bloom as it will or it will fizzle out. Thus is life, for ya. Matters of the heart and mind are always connected in a strangely beautiful but so horrifically complicated way. And that's coming from my autistic ass XD.
