I've changed stareater design a bit, specifically his outfit. I'm still working on making a big reference sheet for his design updates and everything.

I wanted to change his outfit for a while tbh, it's been bugging me because his old outfit didn't quite fit in characters for him. Specifically the short sleeve, at this point in his story I don't think he'd feel comfortable exposing his arms, also big ol sleeves suit him.

I'm still working on it though, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me notes and advice on this design though, I'm not completely settled on it and I wanna hear what you guys think!

Crystal bashers break the rule of most beautiful things being fragile, being both flamboyant and intricately decorated and very strong. They are an ancient and very successful group, with multiple species. Some have even undergone domestication, and are possibly one of the first mechanimals to be domesticated.

Domesticated crystal bashers were very popular with low caste mechs, being plentiful and easy to keep. The smallest breed of crystal basher is roughly the size of a small dog in comparison to the average cybertronian, and are lovingly nicknamed ‘ankle bashers’.

Large working breeds could tolerate working in harsh environments, breaking rubble to clear paths or pull/carry heavy machinery. Crystal bashers were a miner’s best friend, their strength and loyalty to their handlers have inspired many spark-felt stories. Many stories stemmed from real life events of bashers saving their handler’s life, or (more depressingly) refusing to abandon their doomed handler and staying by their side during tragedies such as cave-ins.

Wild crystal bashers can be found almost anywhere, living in small tightly connected packs. They are highly protective over their pack members, and will fight just about anything if they have a chance to protect their companions.

On occasion, crystal bashers with unusually large growths appear. These ‘shard horn’ variants can appear in any species, including domesticated. It’s not known what causes a crystal basher to become a shard horn, or why. Regardless, shard horn individuals are stronger and more confident than their normal crystal basher counterparts.
