I won’t stand between soulmates. Truly, best of luck to the future Hagans.” The proper suitor appeared utterly confused, but relieved by the deescalation, putting away his weapon with a weary sigh. This errand was over, and Eddie was satisfied enough by the chaotic fun. However, before his imminent departure, Carol surprised him by shoving the handkerchief into his chest and scolding him in a harsh tone. “Why would I have wanted this stupid stardust? You’re a fraud, Eddie Munson, and an impostor. You know I only have eyes for Tommy.” A cascade of grey dust covered his fingers as he tried to catch the pouch of Chrissy’s hair. He hadn’t come across anything like that on his way here, let alone in his pockets. A grim reality dawned on him. “Chrissy can’t cross the wall..... "

All fics/art claims will be anonymous until posting

You may upload your piece into AO3 at any time, but make sure you go UNDER COLLECTIONS > ADD TO COLLECTION > HELLCHEER REMIX 2023 - otherwise it won't be listed or hidden

Please don't tell what couple you have or display your work until your reveal day

Make sure you give me a way to contact you to affirm that You have gotten the couple you requested

2 fics and 2 pieces of art per couple - Art can consider of drawings, paintings, digital art, videos, mood boards...

The work you do has to have a least something identifiable to to the original couple but also maintain Eddie and Chrissy. For example if you chose Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice: you could swap roles, and make Chrissy Mr. Darcy and Eddie Elizabeth (not necessarily a gender swap), you could even have them reading the book and it's a way they come together, or they're in the regency time and Eddie is Mr. Darcy who warns young Steve away from the clutches of the ambivalent Nancy.

You will have two full months to complete your work. All fic/art is due on 30 November 2023 and the first piece will be posted 5 December 2023.

HELLCHEER REMIX 2023

The concept is very simple: participants choose from a list of famous couples (historical, folklore, literature, movies, television, etc.). Then they "remix" the original couple’s story using whatever elements of the original story that they find inspiring to create a brand new piece of HellCheer fic or artwork! All pieces must be originals and not part of a previously posted project.

To get your creative juices flowing, here are some plot bunnies for remixing Romeo and Juliet:

Chrissy and Eddie are lovers from feuding families. Chrissy and Eddie die in the end. Chrissy and Eddie are the owners of the apothecary shop from which the fatal poison was purchased.

It’s up to you! You choose your prompt and interpret it however you wish!

Hello everyone, this is one of the fun parts of this endeavor: you suggest couples to add to a large list of couples people can choose from to create fan works for Eddie x Chrissy.

Here's how this works. Click the link below to go to a form. The nomination process is all anonymous, so no worries about me judging any suggestions you might make towards this list. Couples can be from the following Categories:

This first one is from a long-fic of steve x chrissy that I've been letting simmer in the background of all my other WIPs:

Steve searched through the haze of drunken memories, flashing through the bit and details of hairsprayed manes and high-pitched giggles.

65. Tell us about what you’re most looking forward to writing – in your current project, or a future project

This is SO hard to answer! I've been ~loving~ writing my there is a light rarepair fic and I'm really happy as I'm writing when I work on that one! I also have a hellcheer fic for the hellcheer remix 2023 and it's got me excited to write a bit more for Eddie & Chrissy again :)

72. What order do you write in? front of book to back? chronological? favorite scenes first? something else?

Truthfully, depends on which fanfic! I've written in probably each of these methods, but mostly since I always start first where inspiration strikes hot! Then, I'll add some context around it whether it means back tracking or following it chronologically depends on if the scene I wrote starts the fic, is the inciting event, or almost ends the fic. In Do or Die, I started with the graduation epilogue and then figured out how they'd get there. But in In the Shade of Aurelias, I started with Chrissy's awful courting with Jason in the marketplace, but that was more in the middle of the plot and built the universe around that:)

Jonerys Remix 2023

Hey guys! So, I know we skipped the last two years, but this year, I think we're gonna do it again.

But I want your input! I want to make it as fun and engaging as possible. I want people to sign up and look forward to the posts and possibilities! With that in mind, here are a few considerations that I've been bouncing around with @justwandering-neverlost I will post a list of couples that are based off the ultimate winner. This isn't based on a poll or anything like that. Feel free to give your opinion in the comments and I will evaluate from there.

ALL FAIRYTALES - Now, this falls under what's your definition of a fairytale. You have your Grimm brothers, your Hans Christian Anderson, and even folklore of different civilizations. Everyone's remix would be based off a couple that falls under this umbrella.

LET'S GO TO THE MOVIES - All couples come from movies. But Ashley, what about movies based on books or tv? Well, you'd have to use the movie as your main source material. Not your only source material, but your main. TOTALLY TUBULAR 80'S - Guys, my love for the 80s knows no bounds. The movies, the tv, the music. So, you'd pick a movie or show made in the 80s and use a couple from that. Now, just to give you an idea of what I mean, Raiders of the Lost Ark was made in the 80s and is fair game. It would give you a pretty broad range, especially considering the Princess Bride and the Neverending Story were all made during that time, you have a pretty wide berth to choose from. PERIOD DRAMAS - Guys, we don't have enough of these. The Rennaissance, Regency, Gilded Age, Turn of the Centry, The Roaring 20s, The Groovy 60s and 70s. Pick your couple and set them in or use their time period. Let your imagination flow and transport us to a different time, with different circumstances. LEAVE IT AS IT IS - Why mess with something that works? No limitations obviously work better, so why start putting them on now? You want the ability to change your mind or couple and not make the work so hard on yourself with having to stick to a theme. I get it. Letting things keep as they are isn't outside the realm of possibilities, but I will take suggestions for couples to add to the list as a lot has happened in a short span of time since the last. So, please, don't be shy! Let me know what you think! I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi guys! So, here it is, the official announcement post for the Jonerys Remix 2023!

RULES All fics must be completed. If you choose to upload a chapter at a time and have them revealed individually, that’s fine as long as fics are uploaded, in full, by 31 May 2023.

Please don’t choose a couple you have already done, but you are allowed to choose a couple that someone else has done.

Two pieces of art and two fics per couple

If you need an extension close to the due date, please message me and let me know.

The pieces for the remix have to be new fics/art and not a chapter of something you have already begun posting

Make sure you tag your posts Jonerys Remix 2023 when posting to either Archive of Our Own or Tumblr. All fics, in order to qualify for submission, must be posted under the group Jonerys Remix 2023 on AO3.

Do not post your fic/art anywhere else until they are revealed to the community.

All fics/art will be revealed on a specified day.

You may claim more than one couple for fics and art.

Now, as for the important dates: (bolded dates have been changed)

5 December 2022 - Announcement Post and Releasing of the list

2 January 2023 - Claiming of couple(s)

1 May 2023 – all fics due to be posted on AO3

10 May 2023 – Fics will start being revealed

Ok so how it works is when you post on AO3 there is a section you fill out that says “post to collections” in that box you will type “HellCheer Remix 2023”. Until your fic or art is revealed it will show up in YOUR works but the public won’t be able to see it. When I got in and click the reveal box it will then be revealed to the world. At that point, share it until your heart is content. Once the first chapter is revealed, when you post an additional chapter it will automatically update like a normal fic.

I’ve posted a screen shot below of what the section looks like and how it should be filled out.
