granted my support page is down at the moment, but there's a reason why yuri is attributed with the line, "in you, a mirror — one that shows a reflection i do not turn away from." :softsmile:

for all of dorothea's self-loathing, which is rooted in the exploitation and abuse she's experienced in life, yuri as a presence is incredibly validating to her. she's always been receptive and fond of them in their supports, but that holds especially true in toaverse. ESPECIALLY after everything they went through in happyland. will it take years for her to fully accept herself and come to terms with everything that’s happened???? yeah. but the conversation they had was a step forward in that direction :')

even though there's still so much she doesn't know outright about yuri, they have her full trust because of that "i'm just like you/you're just like me" barbie princess moment they had. the fact that yuri defended them both on east island and stepped in to take care of dorothea while she was shutting down emotionally earned them a loooooot of trust points. it was an incredibly vulnerable/triggering moment for her and honestly i think she would have broken down if yuri hadn’t been there :crylaugh: not to mention she's always seen herself in them through mannerisms/things said so this was just confirmation that yuri's the real deal in he rmind

i feel like i need to explain affection and interest here because she is evidently very fond of yuri but the points don’t fully reflect that asjhdfg. she adooooores yuri, but the 3/5 points here solely reflect the distance she feels. while she knows they've got a solid friendship going on, she does acknowledge that they could be a lot closer (and it's something she's hoping for in the future)

as for her interest, she's definitely invested in yuri on a personal level and wants to get to know them better!! however, here she's differentiating between types of interest. she’s interested in spending time with them because she enjoys their company vs. the usual interest she takes in other people which is more necessity-driven
