mmm for sure for sure. my Thing is that they're both deeply flawed individuals extremely set in their ways who make no effort to change. they also can act in very toxic ways bc that's how they were raised. however they love me with all their hearts and would do anything for me. im the baby princess yk.

and over the years i crafted the perfect way to interact with each of them individually, def with high levels of manipulation involved but everyone's better off this way, and formed a specific bond where they just Know what im like and how im way more blunt and outspoken than my older sister who always tells me how much she "could never speak to mom & dad like that or they've have [her] head" like i just learned to adapt yk and take them as they are rather than who i want them to be, and i got comfortable being more same-level with them (respectfully) as if im speaking with friends. like i tell them to shut up when they say bigoted things and they just laugh bc that's how i am and i have strong opinions whereas my sister is more passive. i dont associate with people like my parents when i have the choice, but they're my parents yk? theyre still my parents and i want to make them proud still. just found a way to move through the world in a particular way where i can know the most peace.
