im so used to wattpad i didn't realize the format for writing was so badddd. I can tolerate reading because it feels like I'm uncovering ancient artifacts

i would like to start writing fanfictions. by this way i would have the opportunity to talk about my headcanons better, but i dont like wattpad's formula anymore. i also noticed that most of fanfictions related to winxclub on wattpad are based over fate's canon which is not my cup of tea. the fandom is pretty dead there too so i wanna know how ao3 or any other site work since im too young/not english speaker to know it by myself. thanks <3

i feel like a lot of people build up getting into comics as this insurmountably difficult and complex thing but in my experience it really is nowhere near that much of a black box. you kinda just go "who is this john henry irons dude anyway?" and then you google "john henry irons dc" and see on wikipedia that he had a bunch of appearances in a bunch of things that might confuse you but you zero in on him having a solo run and that seems simple enough. and then you google "read comic online steel 1994" and click one of the beautiful links that comes up (and you have a good adblocker running but i don't need to tell you that because you hopefully already do that anyway). and then you become insane about john henry irons and his beautiful homoerotic friendship with his actor bestie miles duncan who's secretly also a superspy. and then you start writing fanfiction or drawing fanart about them kissing, because you can't believe there's only two fics in the miles duncan/john henry irons tag on ao3 and some of us out here are desperate please please please please

People saying the Maelle ending is morally better because it's not "genocide" or "mass murder" kinda kill me like are we SURE that word is being used correctly. I understand after spending the entire game with these people that they feel real to you, but they literally only breathe because of a tiny piece of Verso's soul, and if it was destroyed, they would never exist.

If Maelle is able to instantly bring back Gustave from the dead, is that really Gustave she's bringing back? Did Maelle know absolutely everything about him and brought/painted him back exactly as he was before? I understand that it's his chroma so it's theoretically the same person, but since Maelle's chroma was white when she was gommaged because she's herself lol, wouldn't that mean his chroma must've been created by someone else most likely real!Verso? The person he was before, was he actually his own person or just a creation of Verso? Is Gustave a real person even? There are a lot of similarities between the trio of him, Maelle and Emma vs Verso, Alicia and Clea. So maybe he was painted to fill that role in for her when she was reborn as Maelle. (EDIT: Totally forgot they were Aline's creations MY BAD LOL)

Esquie and Monocco are based on Verso's plushie toy and pets, and the gestrals in general show you just how young he was when he painted this because their love for fighting and simple mentalities are sooo childlike lmao😭 How can they be real sentient beings when they can literally never grow past his childish and innocent mentality because that is how he painted them? Does this even make sense anymore idk lol now I'm doubting if I even understood the concept of the Canvas LOL

And I'm saying this as Maelle's #1 fan btw but if anyone in the Canvas does something 'bad' (whether it be anything from having differing opinions, bothering people she loves, or even hurting and killing people in Lumiere) doesn't Maelle have the power to either repaint them to be a little different with different morals and principals or just erase them completely? If she's willing to ignore painted Verso's wishes so completely and force him to live a miserable life I don't see this being too far for her either. Of course, I know there's probably some law enforcement around but why would Maelle even let people get hurt and the perpetuators be punished when she could just... not have the crime be committed in the first place? Or not have terrible people in Lumiere anymore? Wouldn't she just be needlessly cruel watching terrible things happen and not doing anything to stop it happening in the first place knowing she's the only one with that power?

Personally, I see everyone in Lumiere as just being an extension of real Verso, his art that he pours so much of himself into and hates every second of making it. They are as real as Verso's last surviving sliver of soul in the Canvas, and killing them is absolutely not genocide(😭what a word to use in this current climate) but rather is more of an 'absolute' death for Verso and is exactly what he's been yearning for all these years.

Overall, it's all really interesting to think about but damn I wish there's a DLC to expand more on the real world because I feel like there's soooooo much potential to explore here but also I want a whole DLC about the Dessendre family before and after the fire and also the Painters vs Writers and also also also :>

hey so i know that its totally agreeable and most likely the intention of these lines that arthur doesnt want the butcher to find out about john, but allow me to read too far in between the lines for a second. arthur hasnt gotten a description of what his eyes are like, not since the beginning of the show with the police officers. even then it was vague.

ps its fucking hilarious both characters to mention it go by some variation of collin in the transcripts. but do you think that arthur appreciated knowing what he looked like? or do you think he hated what john had done to him? in both interactions arthurs reply after having the news broken to him was irritated and tired. do you think he struggled to hide his hate for what his eyes now looked like? specifically with the butcher, where arthur was particularly scared, where he gives the more defensive and aggressive reply, do you think he was just upset at john? because in most cases he doesnt bother with a witty reply.

im just curious if im going crazy or if theres something else here. maybe im just desperate to see arthur mourning his vision in a sort of way because im certain that he mentions somewhere in the first season being a very visual person but i cant for the life of me remember where. i want a scene where he so truly and thoroughly unpacks how fucking lost he is, only being guided verbally not even with a soft hand on the shoulder or forearm. i think ive only truly seen this done in fanfics, but i still love the idea and ill hold onto it til i die
