went to bed at 2:15 am but god i am so alive. kcd1 feels nostalgic to play deapite me having played the sequel first. and i had so much fun already
#kcd spoilers#i beat hans on archery and swordfight challenges he threw at me#how he and henry meet... the modality...the words spoken#i feel lucky i get to experience their relationship from their start now. it's so well written#how EVIDENT that hans is intrigued by henry's circumstance and story but won't show it#instead he mysteriously shows up right where he's training and challenges him twice#and leaves with the promise that this isn't the last time the blacksmith's boy sees him#also when henry left the banquet hall and bows saying 'yes my lord' to radzig. listen#the shot framed hans in the foreground. as if henry was referring to him as foreshadowing#and that gets me so much. it was intentional i don't care what others say#they could've just cropped the frame and zoomed in but they didn't. hans being there was meaningful#i left saving before the ride out with hans. i am so ill#hans at the beginning of the story is so... so arrogant. but fair too. he keeps his word#and doesn't cry like a baby when he loses#he accepts henry hides talent underneath a rugged exterior and cluelessness#ah yes. going from calling someone 'blacksmith's boy' and 'peasant'#to calling them by their name and confessing if they leave and die then they die too of sorrow#SIGHS.#carey plays kcd
