#how is this just normal and good for you?!

It sucks that adults' prejudices shape kids' childhoods. Like poly people having to actively worry about keeping custody of their kids just because other people who don't know them think their lifestyle is weird. Like imagine how much nicer things would be if people could just be normal about things.
Like some kid growing up in a family with Mom, Dad, and Kevin, who sleeps in dad's bed half the time and makes really good spaghetti. And that's just their primary example of what a "normal" family is. And then they go to kindergarten or something and really get to know other kids from other families for the first time and just go the fuck do you mean you don't have a Kevin? What happened to yours?
And the other kids go home asking their parents why they don't have a Kevin, because they, too, want really good spaghetti. And their parents have no fucking idea how to even begin unwrapping what the ever-loving fuck their kid is talking about.

SAJA BOYS x HUNTR/X’S ASSISTANT!READER
PLOT: So here you are, the sweet little assistant to HUNTR/X. Not anything like Bobby, no. You’re the only human they let in on their secret of being hunters, and your job is to help them out the best you can. Fetching the weapons, patching up wounds, memorizing demon looking ppl, preferably without fighting because you’re ass at that. You’re smart, sweet, know what will the girls do next.
Which is exactly why the Saja Boys decided to kidnap your ass.
Oh, they still look like a wet dream, don’t get that twisted. But they deadass snatched you up because you know too much. You know how the girls work. You know where they’re going, what they’re planning, how to hurt them.
Except, you won’t talk. Not even when they tried. And oh, they tried. Little threats. Little games. Little moments that left bruises.
Now? You’re a guest in their fancy-fancy high-rise apartment in the human world that they have so they don’t have to go back and forth between worlds. More like their prisoner, but the fridge is stocked and you’re not chained anymore.
cw: implied female reader, kidnapping situation, a shit ton of cursing, Romance being a flirt, a boner, mentions of sex, Mystery being curious about your body, boys being boys and fucking with you
You stand at the sleek marble counter, a knife in your hand, slicing through a peach.
Behind you, Romance’s laugh fills the room, deep, as Mystery literally tackles him over the back of the couch. They hit the floor with a heavy thud, limbs tangled, and Mystery growls.
Romance? He’s grinning. Loving every second.
“Damn, if you wanted to get me on my back you could’ve just asked.” he purrs, voice smooth.
Mystery’s response is to sink his teeth—actually sink his teeth—into Romance’s shoulder.
“Fuck—ah, yes, harder!” Romance groans dramatically, shoving at Mystery’s face but clearly not trying to get him off.
You just keep cutting your peach, the juice sticky on your fingers.
Abby’s sprawled in an armchair, bouncing a stress ball off the wall hard enough you’re certain he’ll crack the plaster. He’s wearing a tank top that shows off his arms and his attention span is shot to shit. He’s been drumming his fingers, cracking his neck, muttering to himself about needing to do something.
Baby’s on the floor, cross-legged, looking at his phone what he grew to love so so so much since they figured it out. He actually looks like he has no idea what’s going on but doesn’t care anyway.
Jinu is in the kitchen, not far from you, sipping tea like none of this is happening. His hair’s still a little damp from a shower, and he looks… normal. Calm. Like he could be your neighbor, the guy who helps carry your groceries.
He notices you’re out of reach of the fruit bowl and slides it closer without a word.
“Thanks.” you mutter, not looking up.
Not forgetting that you fucking HATE his guts!!
“You’re welcome.”
And that’s the thing with Jinu. He’s nice. Too nice.
You slice another piece of peach. Try to pretend you don’t hear Romance moaning as Mystery bites him again.
Baby snorts quietly, still scrolling.
You just keep slicing fruit, silent, petty, waiting for the moment they let their guard down. Not happening.
Romance walks over eventually, leaning against the counter next to you. His scent hits you—fuck you in the ass it’s good. Why does it have to be good?
“Need help with that, angel?” he murmurs, voice like velvet, fingers brushing a piece of peach off your plate and popping it into his mouth.
You don’t look at him. “Fuck off.”
“Alrighty.”
He doesn’t move though.
Mystery, now perched on the arm of the couch, watches the two of you , you’d guess. You can’t see those fuckass eyes.
You remember the first meet.
God. The girls just finished, you gave them all the luxury they could ever need then went back to your apartment. Exhausted. Filthy. You got home, peeled off your clothes, stepped into that shower, and thought—finally. Finally, you could breathe.
Then, a bold whistle from behind you.
You turned your head, soap stinging your eyes, and there was….
Drumroll…
🥁🥁🥁
Romance.
Yes indeed, the fucker whistled.
You froze. Completely naked, completely vulnerable. He moved fast—too fast—hand over your mouth, body pressed up to the shower glass.
“Don’t scream. We’re just gonna have a little chat.”
You wanted to kick him. You really did. But he had you pinned, all casual, like this was just another Tuesday for him.
“Options.” he murmured, thumb stroking your cheek like he was trying to soothe you. “You tell me what I wanna know. Or—and I like this one better—I take you with me.”
You glared at him. You hated him.
(Since your girls did too and know he’s a demon but anyway)
But what could you do? Naked, trapped, outmatched. So you nodded. Let him hand you a towel. Let him grin when you dressed in whatever you could grab. Let him walk you out of your own damn apartment like he was your date for the night.
You snap back to now, slicing that peach a little too hard. The knife hits the cutting board with a sharp thunk.
Romance notices. Of course he notices. He always notices.
“Careful, baby. Gonna hurt yourself.” he teases, snagging another piece of fruit from your plate like he has every right.
You don’t answer. Just cut another slice, the peach juice sticky on your fingers.
Then there was the time you tried to run.
You’d waited until late. Until they were sprawled out, arguing over anything, distracted by their own bullshit. You’d crept to the door, so quiet. Almost made it.
Baby caught you. Not with strength. With a simple:
“Hm?”
And then Jinu was there. Calm. Closing the door gently. Taking your arm, leading you back.
“Don’t do that, okay?” he’d said, as if you’d just made a small mistake. Like it wasn’t a big fucking deal.
Romance had clapped you on the back when you were forced to sit back down. “A+ for effort, though.”
Slice. Slice. Another piece of peach.
Mystery’s watching you now. Not saying anything, just watching. His head tilted, into your direction.
You finish slicing the peach. Set the knife down.
Romance steals another piece, grinning at you over it.
Mystery growls under his breath at the whole thing.
Abby’s already forgotten about you, too busy flicking Baby’s ear to annoy him.
Jinu’s watching you quietly, you’d guess. Don’t give him the satisfaction of looking at him.
You remember that time you bit Romance.
God, the nerve of him. You were done—so done—with him always getting too close.
D-O-N-E.
That time, when he cornered you to get things out of you. “C’mon, angel, just tell me a little secret. Just one. I’ll owe you.” He’d said. “You’re so tense. I can help with that…”
And you just snapped. Lunged in and bit his arm as hard as you could.
And the fucker?
The fuck?
He winked at you.
Didn’t pull away. Didn’t cuss you out. Just grinned like you’d given him a gift. “Easy, girl.” he said, voice low, leaning in so close you could feel the heat of him. “Didn’t know you liked it rough.”
You wanted to scream. Instead, you glared and tried to yank free, and he let you—only because he felt like it. Not because you could have escaped him.
You organize the little peaches on your plate. They looked quite cute.
You tried to stand your ground once.
Told Abby to back off, to leave you alone. And what did he do?
He laughed. That easy, bright, warm laugh like you’d just told him a joke. Then he slung his arm around your shoulders and practically dragged you down the hall like you were his best bud.
“You’re funny as hell.” he said, ruffling your hair like you weren’t glaring daggers at him. “C’mon.”
Asshole.
“Where you think you’re going, superstar?” he’d teased last time, when you made it to the elevator and thought, for one sweet second, you were free.
You’d fought. Kicked. Swore.
And he’d just laughed, hoisting you up like you weighed nothing. Carried you back down the hall like you were some drunk friend at a party, not a prisoner.
“C’mon now. You know you’re not going anywhere. Let’s not make it weird.”
Baby shifts where he’s sitting, lazy as ever, glancing up from his phone just long enough to take a sassy look at you.
Then there was time they played good cop/bad cop on you.
Mystery had you cornered in the kitchen. Not even saying anything—just standing there, too close. You’d tried to sidestep him. He’d mirrored the move, blocking you without touching.
And then Romance walked in. All relaxed, all casual. Slid in between you and Mystery, arm around your waist like it was his right.
“Ease up.” he said to Mystery, but his hand tightened on your side. “She’s not gonna run. Are you, angel?”
You bite into a piece of peach now.
Or there’s the night you tried to lock yourself in a room.
Abby broke the door down. Just… busted it open like it was made of cardboard.
“Don’t do that, babe.” he said, happy af, picking you up like you weighed nothing and carrying you back to the main room. “You’re gonna make us feel bad, hiding like that.”
You’d pounded at his chest. Tried to fight.
And he’d just laughed again, so warm, so easy, like you were play-wrestling.
You put the cutting board back, close the cabinet a little too hard.
There are also mind games. Oh, the fucking mind games.
Like how Jinu always helps. Always so polite, so considerate. Slips a glass of water into your hand when you’re too angry to ask. Pulls out a chair for you. Puts a blanket over you when you fall asleep
(and yeah, you pretended to be asleep that time. sue you, you were cold).
And it gets in your head. Makes you second-guess your hate. Makes you wonder if maybe he’d let you go if you just asked nicely enough. Makes you forget, for a second, that he’s the one who seals the doors behind you.
Or how Baby never speaks to you unless it’s to cut you down.
That time you begged, just once, just quietly, just to Baby because the others were too busy fucking around, you asked him to help you slip out.
And he’d looked at you. Just looked. And smiled that tiny, mean smile of his.
“Cute that you think anyone here gives a fuck what you want.”
Yeah, when he doesn’t currently not give a fuck about what’s happening around him, this is what you’ll get of him. Allat pretty face is a waste, fr.
You wipe down the counter, scrubbing too hard, like you can erase their fingerprints from your space.
And Mystery.
Mystery, who’s so feral you almost thought you could use that. That maybe he was the weak link. That maybe his violence meant he didn’t care about the plan, that he’d let you go just to spite the others.
But no.
Like the time you tried to sneak a phone off the coffee table, thinking no one was looking.
Mystery had crossed the room in a blink, snatched it out of your hand, and grabbed your jaw so fast your ears rang.
His nails had pricked your skin. His breath had been hot, his growl low.
“Don’t.”
One word. That’s all. And then he let go like you were nothing. Like you didn’t even matter enough to punish.
You open the fridge, shove the plate in, close it again like the slam of the door can drown out the noise in your head.
You turn, walk closer to them in the living room so you look more genuine, sweet like sugar because you can’t help it. That’s just how you sound.
“Can I use the sauna?” you ask.
No one says anything for half a beat.
Jinu the asshole the FUCKING asshole hums. “In exchange for some information, you know. Tell us a thing or two.”
You groan. Actually groan. And before you can stop yourself, you do the tiniest, most frustrated little kick at the air. Just a flick of your foot, like you’re trying to shake off the annoyance. Just a little kick. Adorable, really. A stupid, tiny burst of frustration because this is so fucking unfair and they know it.
And that’s when Abby, quick, grabs your leg mid-kick.
“Gotcha.” he says, voice bright. And the worst part? He doesn’t even look at you. He’s already turned back to whatever dumb shit they’re talking about, your ankle resting in his grip.
And now you’re there, balancing on one foot, arms out a little to steady yourself.
“Abby—let go—!”
But he’s not paying you any mind. His fingers loose but firm around your ankle, like he could crush it if he felt like it, but he’s just holding it.
As if you’re some toy he forgot he was playing with. Fucking asshole.
Romance sees the opportunity immediately. He slides closer, slow, a finger tapping at your knee, then your thigh, all innocent and infuriating. “Look at you. One foot. So talented.”
You swat at him, trying to push him away, but that just makes him laugh.
Mystery, meanwhile, is staring at your leg. Head tilted, curious. Like he can’t decide if he wants to pounce on it or just… study it. It’s been a while since he’s seen a human girl this close. That’s obvious in the way his gaze lingers too long on the shape of your calf, the flex of your foot as you wobble.
Baby is absolutely checking out your ass.
Not even trying to hide it.
One glance over his phone, those eyes sliding down, a little smirk ghosting at the corner of his mouth before he looks back at his screen like he’s the innocent one here.
You hop a little, trying to tug your leg free, still balancing awkwardly. “Abby—seriously!”
But Abby just laughs, chatting with Jinu, your leg still in his grip.
Romance pokes at you again. This time at your side, grinning when you squirm. “Careful, sweetheart. You’ll fall and hurt yourself.”
You try to stomp your other foot, frustrated beyond words, but you’re already jumping on one leg, and that just makes all of them snicker.
“Abby!”
“Hmm?” His voice is unbothered, eyes still not on you. “Oh. Right. Forgot I was holding you.”
Liar.
“Nah, c’mon—tell us a secret.” Abby says.
You tug.
He doesn’t budge.
“Abby.” you hiss.
But it’s useless.
Romance pokes you in the side, fascinated by the way your curves move.
“Stop it—” you try to swat at him, but you’re too busy trying not to fall flat on your ass.
Romance laughs, brushing your hand aside easily. His fingers brush your free ankle lightly, just to mess with you, and you nearly lose your balance again.
“Seriously, let go.” you snap, hopping on your one foot, trying to twist free.
But Abby’s grip is firm, not tight enough to hurt, just impossible to break.
He still isn’t looking at you. Instead, he’s grinning at Romance. “Hey, look at this—” he lifts your foot slightly, turning it in his hand like he’s inspecting it “—her foot’s like half the size of yours.”
Romance, of course, is lining his foot up next to yours while you’re still caught there, balancing. His grin is all teeth. “Tiny.” he says, delighted.
You’re burning up with embarrassment now, face hot, heart pounding for all the wrong reasons. You’re jumping a little, trying to shake your foot loose, but all it does is make Romance poke at you more, fingers brushing your calf, your ankle, your side.
“Stop it!” you snap, swatting at him, but you can’t even aim right on one foot.
Baby doesn’t even hide it anymore. He leans back, arms crossed, eyes flicking between your legs, your ass, your face, enjoying every second of this humiliation.
“Alright, c’mon now.” Abby says, finally glancing at you. “Give us a little intel, and you can go steam yourself all you want.”
You’re about to lose your balance for real—arms flailing slightly, heel of your standing foot sliding on the polished floor—when finally, finally, Jinu’s voice cuts through the mess.
“You can use the sauna.” he says simply, with a small nod, like it should’ve been obvious all along.
“There you go, superstar.” Abby lets go, laughing under his breath as if this was all in good fun. You stumble, catch yourself on the couch, heart pounding, face flushed.
Romance grins, hands up like he’s innocent. “See? All you had to do was ask.”
Baby smirks, looking back down at his phone as if he wasn’t just ogling you.
Mystery sinks back onto the couch arm, still watching, but at least he isn’t about to lunge anymore.
You straighten, brushing your hands down your sides, trying to regain a scrap of dignity.
“Thanks.” you mutter, shooting a glare at the rest of them before turning on your heel and heading toward the sauna.
Romance leans back, hands up like he’s innocent. “Enjoy yourself, angel.”
Baby gives you one last look, and Mystery’s head follows you until you’re out of reach.
You huff, fixing your clothes, dignity in shambles as you stomp toward the sauna.
God, you hate them.
God, they’re fucking hilarious.
God, you hate that you almost laughed too.
Alright, so there you are. Finally. Finally in the sauna.
You thought maybe—maybe—you could steal this one small victory. After all the shit they put you through, the teasing, the games, the constant pushing and pulling, you’d gotten away.
The heat envelops you, thick, fogging up the glass as you sit there, knees tucked up, towel clutched tight to your chest.
Your heartbeat’s just starting to slow. Your breathing evens out. The sweat begins to bead at your temples, trickle down your neck, and for a blissful minute, you think:
peace.
And then.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
You freeze. Eyes snap to the glass door.
Abby and Romance.
Side by side, standing just outside the sauna with the most shit-eating grins you’ve ever seen.
And god help you,
they’re in nothing but towels.
Romance has his slung low on his hips, arms crossed behind his head. Like he knew what this would do to you. His eyes meet yours through the steam, and his grin somehow widens.
Abby’s hitched up carelessly at his waist, and he’s leaning against the glass with both hands, forehead pressed against it, breathing patterns making little clouds on the surface.
And because he’s Abby and he’s got no shame, he leans in further until his abs are smushed up against the glass too, leaving perfect imprints of his ridiculous physique.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
Romance’s knuckle on the door this time, slow and rhythmic, like they’ve got all the time in the world.
These bastards have nothing but time. And you? You’re the best entertainment they’ve had in centuries. Three hundred years of whatever suffering Gwi-ma put them through, until you.
And you can tell. You can see it in their faces, the way they’re lit up like kids on Christmas morning. The way they’re making a game out of this. The way they’re not just keeping you prisoner, they’re enjoying every second of it, like you’re their favorite new toy.
“Baby girl.” Romance calls, voice muffled through the glass, drawing the words out like a slow melody. He knocks again, forehead resting against the glass, leaning down a little so his eyes are level with yours. “Come on. Don’t be like that.”
(Guys I don’t mean baby girl in a weird way I promiseeeee)
Abby starts whining. Full-on whining, dragging out the vowels like he’s the one being tortured here.
“Pleeeaaaseee. Let us in. Don’t hog all the steam. You know it’s rude.”
Your grip on your towel tightens. You shake your head, glaring, but that just seems to make them more determined.
Romance is flattening his palms against the glass, leaning his weight forward, so casual.
“C’mon, sweetheart.” he purrs. “It’s not safe to sauna alone. What if you pass out? What if you get too hot?” His voice drops lower, dripping with mock concern. “We’d hate for something bad to happen to you.”
You point at them through the foggy glass. “Stay out.”
They’re having the time of their lives.
Abby’s face is smushed against the door now, nose flattened, grinning so hard you can see the crinkle of his eyes even through the fog. He slides down slightly so his chest presses up too, leaving an actual print on the glass that you’re sure you’ll see in your nightmares.
“Come oooonnnn.” he drags out, hands sliding down the glass with exaggerated despair. “It’s lonely out here. It’s cold.”
“Yeah.” Romance chimes in, knocking his knuckles lightly again, rhythm playful. “So cold. We’re shivering.”
Neither of them looks the least bit cold. They look like gods, golden and gleaming in the low light, all muscle.
Abby presses his forehead right next to Romance’s, their faces squished together, two idiots united in their mission to annoy the living shit out of you. His abs are still plastered to the glass, leaving sweaty smudges in their shape.
Romance starts dragging out words like he’s dying of heartbreak. “Weeeee just waaaant to reeeelaaax.”
And then, before you can stop it, the door creaks open.
Romance’s hand is already on the handle. Abby’s pushing through behind him, grinning.
“You—” you start, clutching your towel tighter, scooting back like that’s going to help.
Romance plops down way too close, towel barely clinging on, stretching his long legs out. He leans back, hands braced behind him, turning his head to look at you with that maddening, lazy smile.
Abby flops down on your other side, sighing like he’s just found heaven, spreading out. He stretches his arms up, rolls his shoulders, all muscle.
“This is much better.” Abby says cheerfully.
“Yeah.” Romance agrees, eyes glinting with as he studies you, watching the way you clutch your towel like it’s the only thing saving your dignity. “See? Cozy.”
You glare at them both, heart hammering so loud you’re sure they can hear it over the hiss of the steam.
“You could’ve waited.” you mutter, trying to inch away without actually standing and risking… well, anything.
Romance leans in slightly, close enough that you can see the bead of sweat trailing down his temple, the curve of his smirk.
Then, these assholes giggle.
Giggle.
Big, strong, terrifying demons who could rip a man apart in seconds, sitting on either side of you, legs sprawled, water dripping down their ridiculously perfect bodies—and giggling like schoolgirls who just found a crush’s diary.
Romance leans forward, glancing at Abby, his grin wide and boyish and so fucking irritating. His hair’s still damp, little droplets sliding down the sharp line of his jaw, catching in the hollow of his throat before disappearing below that towel hanging far too low on his hips.
Abby snorts, eyes crinkling, that same big, bright grin that makes it impossible to stay mad at him for long—no matter how much you want to. He’s got one arm thrown over the back of the bench.
“I feel relaxed already.” Abby teases, voice low and warm.
And the giggling starts again. Little bursts of it, like they can’t believe their luck.
You press your back against the wall, eyes narrowed, clutching your towel so hard you might leave permanent wrinkles in the fabric. You feel the heat rising higher in your cheeks now, but it’s not from the sauna.
Because they’re close. So close you can feel the heat coming off them, not just the sauna’s heat but theirs. Like being caught between two furnaces.
Fuck them.
And they’re not just sitting there politely, minding their business. Oh no. Their gazes slide over you, undressing you with their eyes without a single ounce of shame.
Romance lets his gaze drop, lazily, from your flushed face to the slope of your shoulders, down the curve of your towel-clad body, he’s imagining exactly what’s under there. He doesn’t even try to hide it.
His mouth quirks up at the corner like he’s thoroughly enjoying the view.
Abby’s no better. His eyes trace you all the same. Like he’s taking mental snapshots, adding to whatever collection of moments he’s tucking away for the next time he’s bored at 3 a.m.
And it’s not subtle.
They’d hit that. No question. In a heartbeat.
Hell, Romance would have you against the sauna wall the second you blinked yes—if you blinked yes. The man has no shame. His lust, so open, so easy, it’s like breathing to him.
But that’s the thing about Romance—he knows the difference. Knows the difference between wanting to get you under him and wanting something real.
And somehow, that second thing? That’s creeping in now, too.
It’s not just the game anymore. Not just the fun of teasing you, seeing how red they can make you go, seeing how long they can keep you flustered before you snap.
It’s that you feel different.
You’re not like the other fleeting amusements they’ve found across centuries of boredom and bloodshed. You’re not just a pretty face they can toy with until it breaks.
You’re the most fun they’ve had in so long they’ve almost forgotten what fun is.
It’s growing. Quietly, steadily, in between all the teasing.
Romance, for all his shameless flirting, knows it too. His desire’s loud, sure, but this other feeling? This is different. It’s not about the chase, or the win, or the thrill of the moment. It’s about the way his heart kicks up when you roll your eyes at him, when you snap back, when you don’t fold.
And Abby? He’s the same. He laughs and plays and pokes, but somewhere in the cracks, something real’s settling in.
Something that isn’t just about keeping entertained.
You’re fun. You’re alive.
And in their endless stretch of centuries, that’s fun.
Because now, it’s not just about keeping you around for what you know.
Now, it’s about keeping you around because they want you around.
All those feelings for them, while just now, you had enough. Enough.
So you stand.
You push yourself up off the bench, clutching your towel, heart pounding, cheeks blazing, ready to make your exit.
But the second you straighten, the second you think you’ve reclaimed a scrap of dignity, Abby decides otherwise.
Big, warm hands catch your wrist and waist at once, and before you can so much as yelp, he drags you right back down into his lap.
“Ah-ah. Where you goin’, babe?” he says, voice all smooth, like you’re a kitten trying to escape bath time. His grin’s wide, eyes sparkling with that boyish light that makes you want to slap him and maybe kiss him just to wipe it off his face.
And there you are—your much smaller frame hauled back against him, towel still clutched to your chest, your legs draped awkwardly over his, skin burning where it meets his.
You squirm.
You kick and wiggle and slap at his arms, trying to peel yourself free, but it’s like fighting a brick wall that laughs at you.
“Let me go!” you snap, voice high with frustration, but you might as well be shouting at the wind.
Because Abby’s laughing now. Genuinely laughing, head tipped back a little, like this is the funniest shit he’s seen in decades.
Romance is no better. He’s doubled over, palm slapping the bench, laughing so hard he can barely breathe. That rich, boyish sound fills the sauna, echoing off the wood, making your cheeks burn hotter.
You kick again, trying to shove at Abby’s chest, trying to slide off his lap, but he’s holding you tight, like it’s nothing.
Abby leans in a little, his grin crooked now, voice low and warm, the kind of tone that makes you want to hide.
“You’re makin’ this real hard for me, sweetheart.” he says, and there’s no mistaking the double meaning.
Your heart lurches.
And, oh—you feel it. You definitely feel it.
Right there, under you.
A huge fucking boner.
And instead of stopping—instead of being sensible—you kick more. You squirm harder. Your face is on fire, but you’re determined to break free, determined to make him pay for putting you in this position, even if it’s making everything so much worse.
Abby groans low in his throat, but it’s laced with laughter, like he knows exactly what you’re doing and loves it. Loves that you’re trying. Loves that you’re flustered and mad and completely powerless.
Romance is laughing so hard he can’t sit upright, folding over himself, practically wheezing, tears streaming down his cheeks, pointing at you both like he can’t believe how lucky he is to witness this.
You give one more valiant wiggle, slap at Abby’s arm, and finally—finally—he lets go. Though maybe because he’s too worked up to keep playing
“Alright, alright.” he says, laughing, lifting his hands in surrender. “You win, babe. Go on.”
You shoot up like your life depends on it, clutching your towel so tight your fingers ache, hair sticking to your sweaty forehead, chest heaving. You glare down at both of them, cheeks blazing, trying to regain a shred of dignity.
Abby is the picture of innocence now. One leg up to hide his hard on, arms draped across the back of the bench, looking for all the world like he’s just a guy enjoying a sauna and not someone who just very nearly got dry-humped into oblivion by a squirming, furious human girl.
But of course, the second you’re upright, Romance leans forward, grinning wickedly, fingers grabbing for the edge of your towel.
“Just one little peek.” he says, and his hand shoots out, fingers hooking the edge of your towel.
You shriek, twisting away just in time, slapping his hands, stumbling toward the door. The towel stays on—thank god—but barely.
Romance collapses back onto the bench, grinning, breathless from laughing.
“Worth a shot.” he teases, voice low and sinful. “Next time, angel.”
You don’t look back. You can’t. You’re too busy marching toward the door, heart hammering, body burning, swearing to yourself you’ll never trust a sauna again.
And behind you, the sound of their laughter chases you all the way out.
You storm out of that sauna, towel clutched so tight it’s a wonder you haven’t shredded it by sheer force of will. Your heart’s hammering in your chest, skin blazing from more than just the steam, and you’re done. Done with Abby’s lap. Done with Romance’s bullshit. Done with them probably high fiving each other as you’re walking. Done with all of it.
You stomp barefoot across the marble floors, steam still rising from your skin, water droplets trailing behind you.
And then you hit the living room.
Jinu’s perched on the edge of the couch, looking every bit the composed, gentlemanly demon he always pretends to be—except for the fact that his eyes widen ever so slightly at the sight of you. His lips twitch at the corners, like he’s trying not to smile.
“You went in there with clothes on.” he says, voice mild. “I’m pretty sure of it.”
You don’t even slow down. You wave a hand at him, dismissive, furious, embarrassed beyond belief but way too stubborn to show it.
“Not now, Jinu.”
“Just pointing it out.” he says, and you can hear that gentle, teasing lilt in his voice now that somehow makes it worse. Like he’s the only one in this house capable of being nice to you, but he still can’t help poking at you when you’re like this.
You glance down just in time to see Mystery crouched slightly, head tilted, attention fixed on the hem of your towel.
His hand twitches, like he’s fighting the urge to just lift it and satisfy his curiosity.
“Mystery—”
You swat at him, fast, instinctive. Like shooing off a cat who’s about to knock over a glass.
He tries again.
“Mystery or whatever your fucking name is!”
Your voice pitches higher. You swat at him again, and this time he dodges.
Baby’s watching the whole thing from the arm of the couch, shoulders shaking as he laughs quietly.
You and Mystery keep up this ridiculous dance—him darting, trying to sneak a look, you batting him off.
Every time you think you’ve shaken him, he circles back around, silent, predatory.
“Mystery, stop it!” you hiss, stomping your foot, cheeks burning so hot you’re sure they must be glowing.
He actually listens. Pulls back just a bit, but not before giving you this tilt of his head—this weird, almost innocent curiosity, like he really, genuinely wants to know what’s up there. Not because he’s trying to be a creep. Just because he’s Mystery.
He leans back, hands up, like he was just wondering, like you can’t blame a guy for being curious.
You tug your towel tighter, shooting him a glare that promises violence if he tries it again.
Baby just tips his head back and laughs, soft and delighted.
You storm the rest of the way across the living room, muttering curses under your breath, knowing full well this won’t be the last time they pull this shit.
Because why would it be?
You’re the best fun they’ve had in centuries.
You slam the door to your room shut with more force than necessary, your heart still thundering in your chest.
The room’s quiet now. Blessedly quiet.
You take a deep breath, forcing your legs to move, crossing to the dresser where they’d dumped your things they got from there and there. You let the towel drop, pulling on fresh clothes.
But as you tug your shirt down and run a hand through your damp hair, the questions start creeping in.
Will you ever get out of here?
…Maybe.
You want to believe it. That there’s a crack in their plan, a way to slip past their too-quick hands. That somehow, the girls will come for you. That you’ll find your moment and take it. But looking at how they watch you, how they enjoy keeping you close? It’s hard to be sure.
Do the girls miss you?
Yes.
They have to. You’re not just some assistant with a clipboard and a coffee order. You’re the one who kept them safe, who watched their backs when they were too busy saving the world to watch their own. They have to notice you’re gone. Right?
Do the boys actually like you as a person?
Yes.
And that’s the most confusing part. Because it’s not just the teasing, the poking, they see you. Under all the sweet voice, the petty little kicks, the glares and the stubbornness, they see you. And somehow, they like what they see.
Is Romance always trying to get in your pants?
Yes.
But he also respects the game. And maybe, just maybe, he likes more than just what’s under your clothes.
Does Abby really think you’re cute when you fight him off?
Yes.
You see it in his smile, in the way his eyes soften when you kick and squirm and glare up at him.
Is Baby secretly rooting for you?
Absolutely so fucking yes.
He won’t say it. Won’t even crack more than that smirk. But you catch it, sometimes—in the tilt of his head, in the glint of his eye. He enjoys you. Enjoys watching you give them hell.
Is Mystery curious about you in ways he doesn’t understand?
Indeed.
It’s in every glance, every tilt of his head, every quiet lean-in. You’re new, he likes it.
Does Jinu really care?
Yeah.
The only one who treats you normally. The one who talks to you like you’re a person. The one who always seems to step in right before the others push you too far.
Are you actually safe here?
No.
Not really. Not from their games, their teasing, their endless curiosity about what makes you break. Not from the way they make your heart race, in anger or fear or something more dangerous you don’t want to name.
Are you in danger of falling for them, even a little?
…Maybe.
You flop onto the bed, staring at the ceiling, clothes rumpled and hair still damp, wondering how the hell you’re going to survive this. Wondering how you’re going to keep yourself from softening toward them when they look at you like that, when they laugh like that, when they treat you like this.
Will you ever stop hoping for a chance to escape?
No.
Not ever. Not even if they keep making you laugh when you shouldn’t. Not even if they’re the most fun you’ve ever had.
You’re getting out.
Somedays
But god—if they don’t make it hard to want to leave.
You lay there on that stupid, too-nice bed, staring up at the ceiling, the city lights leaking in through the blinds, casting stripes across your skin. And you think—fuck.
Because damn your empathy.
You should hate them. Every single one of them. For snatching you away from your life. For laughing at you when you fight back. For treating you like a kid. You should be plotting their downfall, hating the sound of their voices, the way they look at you, the way they keep you here.
But you don’t. Not really. Not deep down where it matters.
Because it hits you, lying there with your heart still racing and your body still warm from the sauna
They probably don’t know any better anymore.
It’s probably been hundreds of years since they had anything like this. Since they saw their mothers. Since they were boys, real boys, not demons, playing at being human on a stage with bright lights and screaming fans.
When was the last time they got tucked in at night, you wonder. When was the last time somebody made them soup when they were sick?
When was the last time they did human shit?
Jumped on a trampoline, if they ever had done that.
Had a snowball fight.
Built a fort and camped out in it.
Splashed each other in a pool until they were breathless with laughter, not because they were trying to drown each other but just because it was fun.
Ran barefoot through wet grass on a summer night, chasing bugs.
Sat on a rooftop with their best friend, eating about the future like it was some big, beautiful thing waiting for them.
The last time someone baked them a birthday cake and sang to them, even off-key?
God, when was the last time they had that?
You think about Romance, all charm and heat, with that constant flirt in his voice—when was the last time someone kissed him because they loved him, not because they were enchanted by his face?
You think about Abby, always teasing, strong enough to crush you but never does—when was the last time someone hugged him just because?
Baby, with not giving a fuck at anything—when was the last time someone gave him something with no strings attached?
Mystery. Ferocious, curious—when was the last time he felt safe enough to just exist?
Jinu. The only one who looks at you like you’re still a person, like maybe he remembers what it felt like to be one, too—when was the last time someone sat with him in silence, not because they wanted something but just because they liked him?
And you feel that damn softness bloom in your chest, that aching empathy that’s going to get you killed or worse.
Because you don’t blame them. Not really.
They’re lonely.
Lonely in a way you can’t even imagine, in a way that sinks into your bones and makes you hungry for anything real.
You’re not just a hostage, not really—not to them. You’re a spark of humanity in their endless dark, and they don’t want to let go.
And yeah, it’s selfish. It’s cruel, in its way. But can you really hate them for it?
Can you hate them for wanting to keep you close when the world left them behind centuries ago?
You sigh, dragging a hand down your face, trying to shove the thoughts away, trying to remind yourself—they kidnapped you. They’re using you. They’re playing with you because it entertains them.
But still.
You see the way they look at you when they think you’re not paying attention.
You see the way they light up when you kick back, when you glare, when you curse them out, when you fight—because maybe you’re the first thing in forever that’s real to them.
And goddamn it, you understand.
You don’t forgive. Not yet. Maybe not ever. But you understand.
Boys who laugh too hard when you fight them off because they don’t know how else to show they like you.
So yeah.
Fuck your empathy.
Because you see them. And you can’t unsee it.

Jinu Saja
🐦⬛ Jinu would argue to the demon realm and back that he was not possessive of what was his... maybe just a bit. But no one, and he means no one, had the proof of this besides the Magpie and the Tiger - and both swore to secrecy. He even made them sign non-disclosure agreements, since he didn't trust the damn bird.
🐦⬛ However, hypothetically, if someone from the guys were to, let's say, try and pet his Tiger... Jinu really didn't know where the demonic flame came from: "You know how moody Gwi-Ma can be," he would say with an 'innocent' smile, which was always met with unimpressed expressions from the guys.
🐦⬛ Safe to say, when Jinu introduced you to the others with a subtle threat that regarded your safety, the guys watched with unimpressed gazes as Jinu steered you to his room - neither feeling the need to warn you about Jinu's possessive nature. Too curious to see what their 'leader' would do once you touched the Tiger.
It was late afternoon when you and Jinu were resting on the couch in the guys' living room - you against Jinu's chest as he went through the latest notes of their song belonging to their newer album, Abby, Romance, and Baby all playing UNO on the kitchen counter - when it happened. You’d dated Jinu over a month now, taking the news of him and the others being demons as well as any human - by trying to run away, no matter how good-looking he was; self-preservation was strong. You got over it like any healthy couple would, calling it a bumpy road in your relationship that strengthened it more. So, seeing the neon-blue Tiger with large eyes that seemed to stare endlessly at you - and looked about ready for the eyes to bulge out - step, or rather prowl, very slowly towards you, you both felt a bit of the natural fear, but also— "Awwweee!!" You immediately sat up with glittering eyes - ignoring the way the trio at the counter snapped their heads towards you, eagerly awaiting Jinu's reaction - as you went and let the Tiger smell your hand. The Tiger, however, just slowly moved its head down, staring at the hand unblinkingly before it slowly bumped it and, after a second, started to purr without moving its head. Feeling a little creeped out but still filled with the cuteness, you started carefully petting it, marvelling at the softness. The trio's mouths dropped as they stared at how the Tiger was now attempting to crawl onto you, with Jinu just continuing to read through his notebook with laser focus, not minding that you - and now the large cat - were occupying his lap. "Fucking bullshit," Baby muttered before putting his lollipop back into his mouth and turning to the game.
Abs Saja
💪 Abby was the least possessive out of the five of them. Unlike the others, he reacted to none of your advances. You took a piece of the street food he bought? Go at it! You want more? You took his clothes? It's fine - he has more! You snatched his phone? He doesn't even know how to work with it! Want to teach him? Abby was attached to nothing you asked for and didn't consider anything that you took from him his.
💪 At least, that’s what it looks like until you decided to do laundry day. Having been dating for a month, you basically lived with the others in their shared apartment, where it was normal for yours and Abby's clothes to be just dumped together in one laundry basket and be done with - besides the underwear, of course. You were not that close... yet.
💪 So, imagine Abby’s surprise when he walked into his room and saw you holding what once was a gently woven bracelet that he had kept with him from his era before he was taken to the demon realm and chained by Gwi-Ma, now innocently being held in your hands - all destroyed.
💪 You looked confused when you glanced at him before your eyes widened. Abby didn’t know what he looked like as he silently walked towards you. He could only focus on holding onto the boiling anger that was fighting to seep through.
💪 Abby was silent when you gently handed him what once was his bracelet, gifted to him for 'luck'. He stayed silent when you walked past him, having to feel the tension seeping from him. He stayed silent once you gently shut the door behind yourself.
💪 Only then did Abby allow himself to let his demonic form take over, as his hands burned - setting the useless piece of strings on fire, leaving only a few ashes in his hands that easily fell down as he opened his palm, eyes cold as he watched it fall on the carpet below.
A few days had passed with radio silence between you and him. Abby didn’t know what to text you, what to tell you, what to do if he saw you - so, guessed it was a good thing you two had some space between each other. At least that was what Mystery was telling him while Abby was being held by the other three as he was currently trying to crawl towards the entrance door to go and track you. Demon senses be finally useful for other shit than smelling the lust on his fans or feeling itchy when wearing nothing but silk. "For the love of - stop squirming!" Jinu bit at him as he sat on his back together with Romance, while Baby was trying - and failing - dragging him back by his legs. "The pain, the sorrow, the tragedy!" Romance wailed as he placed his hand on his forehead dramatically, leaning back before he blinked and looked at Mystery with a deadpan expression, "What happened again?" he asked, all but disinterested. Before Mystery could answer, the entrance door clicked open, freezing the five of them in place and making the Tiger slowly tilt his head, causing the Magpie to squawk from nearly falling. When Abby saw you walking in with hesitation but a sense of determination - as you seemed to be clutching something to your chest - Abby all but easily got up, throwing down Romance and Jinu who flailed as they fell on the floor, glaring nastily at Abby, who ignored all of them as he all but sprinted towards you. Before you could react, you were suspended in the air as Abby twirled you with a large grin before gently setting you down and hugging you to his chest, nuzzling into your hair and taking in your sweet and savoury scent. The two of you ignored the guys shuffling and Baby’s gagging noise as they walked further into the apartment, leaving the two of you. After a moment, though, you tried to get out - which Abby was not making easier. "Abby, hold up—I... I have something for you..." you said, trailing off a bit, but it was enough to pique Abby's curiosity. Letting you go, Abby blinked down at you as you seemed to be gathering courage before you finally presented to him what you were holding to your chest. It was a messy replica of the bracelet you’d destroyed. With steady hands, Abby took it, inspecting it as you went on about how it took longer than you thought, how you paid for a course that taught this, and how you didn’t know it was from such a late era. "I mean, I just thought it was something you’d made when you were little," you chuckled sheepishly, "I didn’t know it was this old way of tying knots that was for protection—huh?" You stopped talking - cut off by the sudden hug from Abby. After a moment, you hugged him back as he nuzzled into your neck. Putting his hand on the back of your head, he pressed you further as he stared boredly at the bracelet in his hand with eyes seeping with glowing yellow and slitting a bit. A sharp grin made its way onto his face as he clutched the useless jewellery. Who cares about that shit anyway? With the painful distance you put him through, Abby realised he had something better than some bracelet. You. You were his - and he would die before he let someone destroy you, accidentally or not. You were Abby’s new ‘lucky charm’.
Mystery Saja
🐶 For such a silent being, Mystery wasn't surprised when the others thought he was... calm. Or rather, that he was reasonable. Human language was so complicated...
🐶 Mystery just chose to use his energy wisely. Teasing? Celebrating? The chaotic laughter the guys sometimes broke into in the middle of planning HUNTER/X's downfall? His desperate... puppies? What was the word Jinu said to call them— Ah... "Fans." All these, Mystery labelled as "Waste of energy," while everyone else labelled him as "Cool and Collected." ...Haaah.
🐶 It was Baby who first saw him snap. Mystery thought it was useful that the youngest of the demons saw him, as Baby was blunt to his very core and wouldn't make stuff up, unlike Romance or Abs. But he was gossipy enough to say it to others, unlike Jinu, who would keep it to himself.
🐶 It was only the two of them, as the other three were asked to join some body contest among other boybands, not needing all five of them. Baby was openly bored, and Mystery was openly ignoring him. That is, until Baby dragged himself to his bookshelf - neatly organised by genre and book title - and was about to pluck one from the Dark Noir section.
🐶 The only thing that saved the other one from having his fingers bitten off was his abnormal reflexes, as he sidestepped with bulging eyes, hand moving up and fingers twisting into sharp claws aimed at the danger - before Baby jerked, locking his demonic eyes with Mystery’s glowing ones peering up at him over his fringe. They were slitted horizontally, unlike the other demons, whose eyes slit vertically.
🐶 Mystery was crouched, a low growl vibrating from his chest as Baby watched the two upper canines grow, twisting out from his lips. There was a silence before Baby took a step back and relaxed his hand, his eyes seeping into dark steel blue as he scoffed - making Mystery ease and let his human form take over once more as he slowly rose.
🐶 Baby gave him a once-over before he huffed, turning to leave and flipping him off with his back to him. Mystery watched over his bangs before calmly returning to the couch to continue reading.
Baby, being the unfortunate victim, the young demon was all but traumatised by his senior, staying clear of that bookshelf from that day onwards. So... imagine the younger’s surprise as he slowly ate the disgusting cereal that tasted like wheat with milk he wanted to throw out - but couldn’t, because you, a human Mystery had taken as a pet, were here. Baby couldn’t even turn and glare at you as you were doing Gwi-Ma knows what, while Mystery sat near you reading - releasing the oppressive aura the guys found he had been holding back when you first showed up. Everything was relatively peaceful until you started to whine about having nothing to read. Mystery tilted his head, attention focused on you with piercing eyes through the thick fringe that Jinu said should be kept hidden for their bright intensity. He may have messed up a bit on the transformation he guessed. Mystery rested his hand with the book on his lap so you would see he was attentive to you, listening as you explained how you’d tried reading all sorts of books - even fics! - but none had caught your interest. He listened further as you described what sort of book you felt like reading and, without hesitation, he answered in a steady voice, "The twelfth row from the top - use the stepping stairs over there," he pointed first at his bookshelf, then at the hidden wooden stairs at the very end, before continuing - neither of you paying attention to the choking noises coming from Baby in the kitchen - "In the ‘O’ section, the book with the deep blue spine and silver letters. That one should be good for you." Mystery felt his hand twitch as you beamed at him, brushing his side strands - and thus brushing his cheek - with your gentle hand. You thanked him as you stood up and went to search for his book he’d described, all the while watching you sort through his bookshelf. Seeing all that belonged to him so close to one another made him roll his shoulders, and he straightened - releasing more of his demonic energy from how pleased he felt - followed by the sound of something, or someone, hitting the floor in the background. Your head finally snapped towards the sound, and with widened eyes you called out, "Oh my God, Baby!" All the while, Mystery only kept his eyes on you - his hair parting as he followed your hurried footsteps to look at the younger, revealing one of his eyes with a horizontal slit that expanded into a black moon.
Romance Saja
🌹 Romance was openly possessive. He saw no shame in protecting what was his. This also kept him away from the unnecessary stressful experiences where he would have to threaten one of the guys if they tried taking something of his.
🌹 It was just that easy! Romance always shook his head at the others' antics when one took or touched something of another, leaning away when he saw a wrinkle appear on one of their foreheads - prepping himself that day for some ‘spa time’ for himself and whichever member had such an imperfection on his face.
🌹 So, when you caught his attention and began to... date him - was that the new term that humans called the betrothal phase in the modern world? Jinu did say something on this topic, but Romance only remembers fixing his hair so it wouldn’t lose volume. ...Where was he...
🌹 Ah! Him, with you.
So when you started to become part of his routine and thus his life, you really believed you were getting any ‘special treatment,’ darling?
Flushed skin was one of Romance’s favourite sights, he thought, as he trailed a clawed finger over the bite marks on the back of your shoulder and arm, until he laced your fingers together and brought them to his lips - nibbling carefully with the set of sharp teeth that were a far cry from those in his full demon form. What was the point of hiding his true nature from you when you began dating, when he knew showing it would lead him exactly where the two of you were now? The two of you snuggling, your back against his chest, and coming down from such a satisfying moment. That is, until you began to stir - and Romance saw no reason not to let you go, curious to see what you were trying to do. Kiss him? Be the one to hold him? Another round, perhaps? Seems like neither, as he watched you, like a curious cat, rise. Still on his bed, you moved to the edge, with Romance following to see what you wanted to— A deep growl resonated through his room, freezing you as you reached down to take the shirt he wore today - the one you took off him before falling under his masterful hands that reshaped you each time. With owlishly wide eyes, you turned to him as he watched you with narrowed ones, no doubt dark carmine now overtaken by glowing gold and slitted pupils. His mouth was partly open, flashing his sharper teeth as his clawed hands dug into the duvet. He only stopped growling when you finally got the message and moved away. He huffed, watching as fear gave way to what could only be described as a mix of disappointment and hesitation on your face. Your eyes were turned downward, which Romance did not like. Gently, he placed a clawed finger under your chin and brought it up, his nose barely brushing yours as his golden eyes glowed, the slits expanding a bit as you locked eyes with him - his grin sharpening dangerously. “Silly human~” he cooed, brushing your cheek and placing his hand below your ear as he leaned forward, lips brushing yours as he spoke, "Can’t remember me telling you not to touch what is mine?" he all but growled the last word before devouring you that night once more. A few weeks after, Romance could still sense some longing from you. He didn’t understand the need for humans these days to share their clothes with their other half, but oh well… so be it. On that day, he went and bought you two matching sets of clothes. Teasingly dangling them in front of you, Romance told himself this set would be the first and the last. However, when you squealed and all but jumped on him - hooking your legs around his midsection before jumping off, grabbing your part of the set, and running into his room to change - only to come back in the colours he chose for you, Romance all but started cataloguing all the types of clothing you’d need. Romance still didn’t understand the notion of sharing clothes with your partner - dare he say humans were foolish in this day and age - as seeing you in the clothes he picked for you made him feel more like he claimed you than you wearing what was his.
Baby Saja
🍼 Baby could give two shits about the guys taking something of his. Jinu wanted to use his hairbrush? Go wild. Jinu should make sure he wouldn’t find a strand of black hair on it, though. Otherwise, Baby would plug the iron-pointed teeth of the brush and perfectly align it on Jinu’s mattress in a way he wouldn’t notice until bedtime.
🍼 Romance dressing him up and throwing out the clothes he bought for him? Hands raised - Baby would listen, not really caring as long as Romance left him alone for the rest of the day.
🍼 Abs lost another toothbrush? Here. But Baby wasn’t responsible for the spicy taste it had when he handed it to the tall demon. And Mystery wanting the cookie one of the braindead humans… cough, fans, gifted him with yet another baby bottle? ...Here. He’d give it, as long as Mystery got rid of that cursed bottle.
🍼 So no. Baby was not possessive, materialistic, territorial, or whatever other fancy word humans decided to use to describe the simple need to keep their deluded autonomy. Baby had none of that. He knew who and what he was - he didn’t need anything to prove it.
🍼 That was until you came into the picture. You were no different from the other humans - just another soul for Gwi-Ma to consume... or at least in the beginning. The closer you got, the more Baby wanted to keep your vibrant soul all for himself. They were allowed by their King to eat a few of the souls themselves, after all... not that you needed to know. Knowing he was a demon was enough for you - a selfish decision that allowed him to ease up some of the illusion and harness more energy, as well as be with you.
🍼 However, as a human once himself - and not that long ago turned demon too - Baby should have remembered humans were far too greedy~
It was just the two of you, the others having gone out, and since you refused to tag along, why should Baby bother? He was resting between your legs, sucking on a lollipop, watching some shitty story on that slim box Jinu called the “TV” - and the story a “movie with actors” - while you were doing your own thing. Baby didn’t move much when you stood up, telling him you needed some sugar to keep going. He hummed as he sucked on the lollipop, imagining it was the bitter-sweet taste of a human soul instead of the pungent medicine - sweet devotion and bitter fear - just like he liked it. He busied himself by commenting on the movie and how badly the humans played their part - until he suddenly stopped, mouth parted, the lollipop hanging loosely from his lips. His eyes widened in sharp alertness as his canines lengthened, easily cracking the candy between his teeth as his jaw snapped shut. His ears strained as he heard the faint sound of the glass cap being moved. Within seconds, Baby had your chest pressed against the kitchen counter, his own chest firm against your back, one hand gripping your wrist - the one holding the glass lid from the jar that held multiple lollipops. Even if Baby’s grip bruised, your fear of what he might do if the glass cap broke was stronger, and you didn’t let go. You saw Baby’s other hand - claws extended - near your face, as he leaned over, growling warningly into your ear, the vibration in his chest trailing down your spine. “Drop… it,” Baby growled, his already deep voice dipping lower, causing you to shut your eyes and obey. But instead of a shattering sound, your wrist was released. Cold air hit your flushed skin, and the second Baby’s chest moved away from your back, you immediately straightened and backed away - putting distance between yourself and the man- demon. You held your slightly burned wrist in your other hand, chest rising and falling, watching as Baby carefully placed the cap back onto the jar. Before he could turn, you followed your instincts and sprinted out of the guys’ apartment, praying he wouldn’t follow - needing time to process what had happened. Baby was not impressed. Three whole days without your attention. Instead, it was Romance, Abs, Mystery, Jinu - damn, even the stupid-looking chicken with that cat got your affection. All but him. He was not pouting, fuck you. How dare you still come to their apartment and ignore him - and for what? For him telling you - politely, mind you - to keep your hands off what was his? Baby’s glare hardened as he stood in the kitchen behind the bar counter, but you were too busy petting Jinu’s creepy cat that he’d somehow found down in the demon realm. Baby huffed when, instead of your gaze, he met the tiger’s unblinking stare - one that seemed to pierce through his hollowed chest. He looked away, eyes landing on the stupid jar that caused all of this. Fucking petty human, he growled internally, stepping forward and ignoring the hollow ache tugging him towards you - the urge to jump on you and demand why, why, whywhywhy! Instead, Baby grumbled as he walked over and snatched the cursed glass jar from its place, turning towards the living room.
Once his shadow fell over you, you froze - which made Baby frown. It was becoming painfully clear you weren’t ignoring him because of the jar - and that made him want to both shatter the jar in his hands and fall to his knees to rip his hair out, trying to understand what he did wrong when nothing he did had felt wrong to him. But instead, Baby slowly crouched down, head bowed, eyes staring at the lollipops in the jar. With a steady voice, he spoke. “Here,” he said simply, holding the jar out to your back. He didn’t know what expression you wore, but he knew you hadn’t moved. Still, he remained in place, having no other idea how to show that he meant no harm - that he was… “Mianhae…” he said, instead of just thinking it, his voice quiet. Baby started to grit his teeth, embarrassed at the slip, until he felt your fingers - warm and gentle - wrap around his where they held the jar. His head snapped up, eyes wide and doe-like, meeting your soft gaze - and in that moment, he straightened a little, like a sunflower stretching toward the sun’s first beam of light after a long, cold night. Baby was not possessive, materialistic, or territorial - or any other fancy term. But… He recognised attachment. The kind he felt towards the others, towards the sweets on sticks he enjoyed from the human world - even if they did taste awful - and most of all, towards you. So, when you suddenly withdrew from him, it felt like a piece of himself had gone with you. As you happily enjoyed one of his lollipops - after agreeing that you could take one only after asking - Baby rested his head on your shoulder like a pillow, while the others were in their rooms or out - alive, judging from the demonic waves subtly wafting in between the honmoon. Baby nuzzled deeper into your neck, feeling your soul’s steady thrum, and comfortably sank into the realisation that- You were now part of him, too.

₊⊹ shidou ryusei
doggy. there’s no other way. shidou loves to fuck you hard from behind, large hands grasping your hips and occasionally smacking your ass. his cheeks flush hard while he sees how perfectly your ass bounces every time his hips slam against yours. shidou loves to take control, he’s absolutely addicted to the way you whine and plead for more against the pillow. and he obeys – he gives you more just like you want, to the point his cock is smeared with your white cream and your ass cheeks are red from all the smacks he’s given you.
₊⊹ michael kaiser
reverse cowgirl. yup. the position where you’re only allowed to see kaiser’s feet while he’s staring at your bouncing ass with his arms behind his head, a cocky smirk on his stupidly handsome face. he has a superiority complex which definitely reflects to your bed activities as well – he tells you to fuck yourself on his cock and make yourself cum, and if he cums before you, you know the only way you'll come tonight is by your own hand. there’s no way he bothers to finger you or anything if he doesn’t feel like it. i’m sorry but this man is a selfish lover. luckily, his cock feels so damn good that you almost every time fall apart on top of him, hands gripping his thighs as you clench around his shaft. during those times, he sometimes, sometimes, grabs your hips and begins to slam his hips up against your poor, tired pussy.

missionary. isagi is a passionate guy who gives his all to things he loves – soccer and you. he’s not a mean one who has a dirty mouth in bed, even though he can get quite rude towards the opponent on the field. but to you – he’s the perfect, loving partner who makes sure you cum first, always. he fucks you with slow and deep strokes which makes the air leave your lungs, his other hand skillfully rubbing your clit as he breathes softly against your neck. isagi tells you how good you are to him, he praises you while his hips roll perfectly against yours, the tip of his cock kissing your cervix. but okay, he can be a little mean once you’ve came, since he starts to seek for his own release. and how? leaning back, wrapping your legs on his shoulders and pounding into you shamelessly.
₊⊹ seishiro nagi
riding. nagi absolutely loves to watch you from under his half lidded eyes as you fuck yourself on his cock. he often thinks that every other sex position is a hassle, but riding is something he genuinely enjoys, because he gets to guide your movements and help you cum with little effort while admiring your beautiful body and face as you fall apart. nagi is careful, always making sure you don’t grow tired or hurt yourself. honorable mention with nagi is the fact he obviously loves you sucking his cock as well - especially under the desk while he's focused on playing on his computer.
₊⊹ itoshi sae
doggy/pronebone. sae is also a selfish lover. literally if you think this man gives a damn about your pleasure, you’re delusional. he loves to fuck you from behind, he loves to dominate you and make you take what he gives. of course, sae wouldn’t ever force you to anything – he has normal human morals after all. but once he gets going, you need to be prepared to the fact he will push your face or whole body down on the mattress and fuck you hard to the point your legs are trembling and you’re seeing stars. luckily, his cock pounds right against your sweet spot, making you aggressively clench and cum around his shaft. he tells you you’re such a good girl, that you’re taking him so well, and the second you think he’s slowing down – he only grabs you by the hair and pulls you back up against him, hips continuing to smack against your ass.

Heyyy! I was wondering if you could do yandere saja boys x reader where the reader hangs out with a guy and they get very jealous
Yandere!Saja Boys x GN!Reader
a/n; the day im satisfied with writing a yan!saja boys and/or yan!huntrix one shot is the day i'll retire because this is still lacking 💔
warnings; uncomfortable, stalking, possessive behavior, more spotlight on Abby! no Jinu here, sry!
— 🌇
That's weird.
You're not anywhere in your house. You haven't responded to their messages yet.
"Think they finally had enough of us?" Baby mutters, looking through your snack drawer—nothing of interest—before closing it harsher than intended. The loud bang echoes in the empty kitchen.
Abby narrows his eyes as he looks through the window. The sun is going to set soon. "That can't be right. Maybe they went to buy something."
"Without telling us?" Mystery growls, his fingers fidgeting together. Well, it's not like you need to tell them every action you'll do. He's not even sure himself why he's so irritated.
After all, they were already planning to take your soul after the whole thing is over. But now that he's thinking of it again, the idea doesn't feel so good anymore...
The front door suddenly squeals open. All of them turn, expecting you, but instead meet Romance's face.
"Don't look so disappointed," Romance scoffs with an eyebrow raise. "I found the human. Come on."
— 🫧
First, they felt relief, then anger, then sadness, then nothing.
They found you alone, as Romance said you were, but then you started laughing. Your gentle laughter stopped them from getting any closer. A smile curls on your lips as your eyes consistently follow something.
"What?" Romance mutters, confusion scrunching his face. They can't see well from this angle—but they can't move either without being seen.
"I told you it's slippery," you snicker, walking over and extending your hand. Ah. So you weren't alone. "Come on. I'll help you up, I guess."
"Thanks," a voice replies, matching your energy, causing all of the boys to glance at each other. They watch as a hand takes yours. "I guess."
The person gets up—a man. Not a demon, but a human. Standing too close to you and still holding your hand. Or maybe it was just a normal distance, and time felt like forever watching you touch that thing—but, oh, Gwi-Ma. They feel like boiling their human forms.
You finally let go of him, using your hand to fish your phone out of your pocket. A frown snakes across your lips after a while. "Oh, no."
"Oh no?" your friend asks, tilting his head. "Is something wrong?"
You begin chewing your bottom lip, looking around. "No, uh, not really. But I have to go now. Nice catching up with you, man!"
"Aw, really?" he says, glancing at his phone. "Oh. It is pretty late. Isn't your apartment like right over there? I can—"
"There you are!"
You and your friend turn your heads, both of your eyes widening for entirely different reasons.
Abby approaches you with a charming smile, settling an arm over your shoulders. He hums as he takes a good, innocent look at your companion. "Who's this?"
"Saja— Abs—Abby? From Saja Boys?! Uh, I mean— Hi! So nice to meet you!" An unexpected blush blooms over your friend's face. He glances at you with nervousness and fascination before bowing his head.
Your friend shows off a crooked grin. He's a big fan already; he told you moments ago how he had Soda Pop on loop. You huff and remove Abby's arm from your shoulder, barely able to hold your flinch at the way he looked offended.
You gaze at Abby in anticipation.
Abby immediately gets the hint and masks himself. "Oh, a fan! Thank you for your support!"
They took a picture, Abby did his autograph, all the while giving him fanservice with his abs. Your friend giggles cheerfully as they shake their hands goodbye. You didn't miss the way Abby wiped his hand on his shirt when your friend wasn't looking.
"Take care!" you call to him, waving a hand before turning to a blank-faced Abby.
He stares at you humorlessly.
You blink, avoiding his eyes. "Uh, hey. Sorry about... not replying. I ran out of—"
Abby chuckles, smiles like he wasn't just judging your entire being, and shakes his head. He returns to draping his arm around your shoulder protectively. "No need to explain. We're glad you're safe. Let's go home."
Your brows furrow as Abby guides your walk. We're? We?
It's an obvious thing that once a member is involved, all of them are. Just... where are the others? Abby is the only one here.
You stray your eyes, landing on a window.
In the dim reflection, three pairs of glowing, golden eyes point at you in the distance. Ah. There they are. Watching, waiting.
Ugh. You look away. Jinu's never this level of creepy. He's not present again, as always.
You don't notice Abby nodding his head curtly next to you.
— need .. need to include more horrors..... ngl I'm stuck between funny or horrific yan!saja boys ,,
— also if you're wondering why Jinu isn't here, I just prefer not to include him in general! yeah my bad, in my other fics he's just kinda hanging around
— why's it so hard for me to write yandere (says the yandere blog)

sylus x gn!reader, menstruating reader, domestic fluff, sfw
Operation: defend your ice cream stash from Sylus begins today.
You've had enough of finding a barren desert in the freezer, devoid of sweet treats. He always leaves the evidence of his crimes for you to uncover. Bowl and spoon in the sink, slick with the melting remnants. Discarded tub peeking out the trash bin. The occasional note with a devilish winky face on the countertop. Each a cruel twist of the knife.
Your grief is doubly felt when he deprives you of life's one joy during your period. No, it doesn't matter that he always restocks the freezer til it struggles to close right after. It's the principle of the robbery in the first place that incenses you.
Luke and Kieran sneak in a clandestine package under the cover of morning, while he's still asleep. Inside is a world class, custom built, state-of-the-art safe you've commissioned for this express purpose; constructed using antimatter coated steel to dissuade him from blasting it open with his Evol.
You have no doubts about his ability to break into things the normal way, so you've designed the safe to have multiple doors which protect its contents.
For appearances only, the outer door is a mundane dial lock. He'll crack it in maybe two seconds flat. What it should do is ping your phone and alert you to the imminent break in attempt. Behind it are a series of increasingly difficult cryptographic puzzles that must be solved within a minute to proceed.
The safe's final bulwark is a stroke of genius, if you say so yourself; a singing test with an inbuilt microphone where he must stay reasonably in pitch. An assuredly insurmountable trial for him, and therefore, an impenetrable defense for your precious desserts from his bottomless gluttony.
With the twins' help, you manoeuvre the safe into the freezer. You place your last tub of ice cream into it and perform the necessary double- and triple checks. Bolts are secured. Puzzles are set and ready to go. Microphone tested to ensure it's functional.
You leave for work daring to hope for the best.
—
Hours teetering on the edge of your seat. Paranoia mounting with the radio silence. You should be happy. It could be he's decided to leave your treat alone, but it can't be that easy. You're well aware of just how tenacious and greedy he can be.
Your phone pings during your lunch break.
Determined to catch Sylus red handed, you leap into action, pulling it out of your pocket. Your finger is a millimetre away from pressing the speed dial when you notice that the notification isn't from the safe's alarm system.
It's a message from him.
The food you just ate lurches in your stomach. That can't be good. You tap to view it, the stirrings of trepidation and resignation joining your barely-digested meal.
He's sent an image of the safe. The dial lock is busted open, all the cryptographic puzzles solved. Both outcomes within the realm of possibilities you considered. Your piece de resistance, the singing challenge, is still intact, so why..?
Ah. A perfect circle has been cut into the side of the safe. Its contents empty. You spot the tub in the foreground, also empty.
Cut off in the corner of the picture is a perplexing device you don't quite recognise. From what you can tell, it looks like a gun without a barrel or a trigger.
His accompanying voice message plays.
Nice try, sweetie. He sounds breathless, as if he's been laughing too hard. The mirth that brightens his voice is infectious, and though you want to be mad right now, a pleasant warmth and the beginnings of a smile tugs at your cheeks. I do wonder where you found a manufacturer willing to do antimatter coating for a... personal project such as this. Flipping through his business contacts while he was away, of course. That thing is a gold mine.
Ringing sharp through your speaker, two solid objects clink together. Teeth against a spoon. However, the microphone you installed must not be working. No matter how well I performed, it never let me in. A pleased noise from the back of his throat. This flavour's delicious, by the way.
How shameless of him to eat your ice cream while he recorded this—this declaration of victory, you realise. He's gloating. Feasting on his bounty. Oh, when you get home, you're going to—
Before you plan your revenge, let me propose a moratorium, his voice message continues, reading your mind. Why does he always do that? I've seen your sincere efforts to protect what's valuable to you. So, I won't touch your ice cream for a month. Use it to refine your defenses.
I'll give you a few hints to start: find better quality antimatter next time. And you did forget about the extensive tools in the workshop.
You finally recognise the object on the counter.
The freezer's already been refilled. See you at home, sweetie. The message ends with an indulgent chuckle.
His words don't register for a solid minute. You're reeling from this latest revelation. Just to steal your ice cream—
He used a fucking laser gun to cut a hole in the safe?
If a puny laser was able to penetrate the coating, then his Evol would have torn it like paper. Which means he went out of his way to go to the basement workshop, retrieve the laser gun, and cut a hole in it, because he could.
You're doing two things when you get home.
One, send a complaint to the manufacturer for a shoddy product.
And two, have some of that ice cream when he's not looking.
This operation has been a failure of unimaginable proportion, but no matter; you have a month to plot and plan. You'll come back stronger than ever.

Thinking about post-war/70s era Price coming home to an empty house (his wife divorced him while he was overseas) and a child he can't take care of all on his own, and snatching up the sweet little neighbour-next-door as a babysitter.
Temporarily, you stress, all soft smiles and polite little sir's that go straight to his cock. You're going back to university in September, after all. You have big aspirations that go beyond the whims of the men around you, ones who seem to want to confine you to the kitchen where your mother spent most of her life. And he can respect that. He likes people who have that grit. That determination.
But unfortunately for you, he thinks all devotion would be better suited to taking care of a family. Particularly, his.
NONCON. MISOGYNY. AGE GAP.
It's cute, though. The way you keep reminding him that you're going to college when he slips in sly comments about how good you look with his baby in your arms. barefoot in his kitchen as you make him dinner, his child on your hip, babbling at his new mommy. nervously stuttering around the notion that you're going to become something more than a mother, Mr Price. more than this deadbeat town stuck in the fifties, where women wearing pants is still an anomaly that makes men shake their heads and stare disapprovingly.
But you get these notions in your head. These little ideas he finds so adorable, and ones he sees no qualms in manipulating to his advantage—and why would he? You want to act grown, independent, then he'll teach you what happens to silly little girls when they get too deep in over their heads.
(like letting you think this is just a fling. flirting with an much older man is harmless, your friend says with a shrug. a little summer fun.)
And he plays into it, too. humming along dutifully as you stammer out that you don't want children when he shoves his hand under your skirt after steadily chipping down those walls of yours. Or that you don't want to be tied to just one man when he slips a little extra wine in your cup to loosen you up before dragging you upstairs to his bed. You want to experiment and enjoy life as a single woman while you're in college. And this is just a fling, right? Your friend said losing it to an older man was normal. perfectly okay as long as you were safe about it.
But he doesn't have any condoms, and you're too tipsy to put up much of a fight when he pulls you into his bed (beautifully obedient, as always). A nervous little tremble to your voice as you beg him for more—
(and please, please, please, Mr Price, don't put a baby in me—)
You're skittish around him the next morning, but that's fine. It's common for newlyweds, isn't it? And when you try to avoid him, pretending to be sick the day after—
Well. It doesn't hurt to remind your parents just who he is, and who he has stuffed inside his pockets, so he isn't too surprised to see you at his doorstep the next morning, wringing your hands as you apologise for getting sick. An indiscretion that's easily forgiven when you shiver against his hands, nervously asking how you can make it up to him.
(you want autonomy. agency. control. and he's always been the type to coddle, hasn't he? so he teaches you the most powerful position you'll ever be in next to him—on your knees, mouth wide open, begging for him to cum on your face like the naughty thing you keep pretending you want to be.)
It's a much better alternative than taking you over his knee like he was planning when you didn't show up to take care of your child the way a new mother should, and he tells you this after you put the baby to bed. Whispers it into your skin as he grips your hips and makes you take him deeper than you ever did before. Coos softly about places—
(and yours, sweetheart, is under him. takin' his cock like a good little wife should—
wide-eyed and shivering from more than just pleasure as he spells out your future beneath him.)
—something that seems to scare you a bit more than he expected when he finds out you sent your college applications out when he thought you had come to an agreement already. But luckily for you, he knows how to pull strings and keeps you right where you belong: with him.
Of course, the rejections come at the perfect timing, too, and he watches the fight inside of you dwindle to smouldering embers after your father pulled his funding, and even the local college refuses your application.
You just feel so confused, you tell him, biting nervously on your nail as he prowls after you. The baby is in bed. The other in your belly. His glass of whiskey after dinner did little to soothe his hunger when you showed up at his door with red-rimmed eyes and the ghosts of your father's anger snarling down at you. He, too, disapproves of college—and it's just so sudden, Mr Price, because he used to be so encouraging, but now, he's telling me it's not right, and i don't know why—
Everyone around you is pushing you towards the inevitable, it seems. And he manages to feign enough sympathy when you turn to him, teary-eyed, as your carefully laid plans fall to pieces under the weight of his own. Cups the back of your head softly as you weep into his chest over this craziness—this sheer madness, Mr Price, because surely you don't want to even marry me? god. you can't even think straight anymore.
but that's the problem, isn't it? he asks, rapping his knuckles softly against the side of your head before offering a smile oozing with thick patronisation.
"You keep thinkin', mm," he rumbles, chipping away the last of your meagre defences as he pushes you towards the bedroom—your bedroom, now. "Thinkin' 'bout things you don't need to, love. Not anymore. Got all these silly little ideas inside here—" his hand curls around the back of your skull, thumbs stroking your skin in a way that might feel comforting if he hadn't been adding a slow, unrelenting pressure to the cup of his palm. Pushing you down, down—
Your knees hit the carpet in a muted thud, and he doesn't even need to tell you to do anything—your hands are already there, trembling fingers unlatching the clasp of his buckle before clumsily pulling him out. Scared and cornered and with nowhere to go because he changed the locks, didn't he, mm? mum ain't answerin' the door? but that's okay. you belong here, anyway, don't you?
And really. You don't have much of a choice when you wake up feeling sick to your stomach at the end of August. belly already swelling with his second child. Your first. ain't that excitin'? givin' your little baby a brother.
He presses a kiss to your sweat-slicked forehead when he finds you hunched over the toilet that morning, cooing in your ear about how happy he is.
"and jus' think, sweetheart," he murmurs, eyeing the shredded acceptance letter sitting in the trash beside you, the one you tried to sneak past him, with a withering distain before aiming that dulled hostility back towards you, a mockery of a smile toying along the edges of his mouth when you shiver, pushing yourself closer to him. The only thing you have left.
"you thought this—we—would be temporary."
#i havent written anything in so long that i forgot how#originally this was gonna be A Big Thing tho#where he's a traumatised Vietnam War Vet and you're a lil burgeoning hippie next door that he wants to Wife Up real bad but ummmmmmm#*sobs*#john price x reader#pricedrabbles#price x reader

Lost and found 2

Part 2 of this storie.
Genre : request, fluff, oneshot
Pairing : Lando Norris x teacher!Y/N
Main Masterlist
The day after the Monaco Grand Prix, Y/N sat cross-legged on her tiny balcony, sipping lukewarm coffee and grading spelling quizzes from her students.
Her phone buzzed.
Unknown Number: You owe me one, remember? Still waiting for my “thank you” dinner, Miss Y/N.
Her eyebrows lifted.
Y/N: I’m sorry… who is this and how did you get my number?
Three dots blinked back almost instantly.
Unknown Number: A good magician never reveals his secrets. Let’s just say… you left quite an impression.
Y/N: Lando ? How did you get my number? Did Sara give it to you?
Lando : (Contact saved) You left so quickly yesterday, I didn’t get the chance to ask. And no, Sara didn’t give it to me, though I suspect she’d do just about anything to help my case It wasn’t that hard to find you. Monaco’s small. 😌
Y/N stared at her phone, heart doing a weird little skip in her chest.
Y/N: You could’ve just asked like a normal person. I guess I did already say yes to a date... No need to recruit a spy agency.
Lando : Well, Miss Y/N, I didn’t want to miss my shot. Besides, you disappeared into the crowd didn't have time to ask
Y/N: Sorry I ghosted. I had 20 kids to not lost again Which, by the way, went surprisingly okay. No one else wandered off. Not even Ella, and she’s usually one “Look! A butterfly!” away from vanishing.
Lando : Impressive. Gold star for you. ⭐ Also, congrats to me, I guess? For the race? Just wondering if you noticed I, you know… podiumed.
Y/N: Oh wow, did you race yesterday? I had no idea. It’s not like you had your face plastered across every surface within a 3-mile radius. 🙄 But seriously, congrats. That was epic.👏
Lando : Was waiting for you to say that. Thanks 😊 Felt good. Monaco wins always do. But you know what feels better?
Y/N: What? Your lap time? The smell of champagne on fireproof suits?
Lando : Having a date with a cute teacher.
Y/N: Smooth. Very smooth. Fine. I’m free Thursday night. But only if you promise not to bring any stickers.
Lando : Can’t promise that. Might be my signature move.
Thursday night in Monaco felt less like a date and more like something out of a movie. Warm golden streetlights cast long reflections over the marina, and the soft hum of distant music floated from open terraces. Y/N checked her phone for the fourth time, then shook her head and laughed at herself.
This is ridiculous, she thought. It’s just dinner.
But it wasn’t just dinner. It was a date. With Lando Norris. Race winner. Flirtatious chaos incarnate.
She was halfway through mentally rehearsing excuses just in case, when she spotted him.
He was already there, waiting outside the restaurant, dressed in a crisp white shirt and navy trousers, hands tucked into his pockets, curls slightly more tamed than usual.
And smiling at her like he wasn’t used to waiting, but would wait hours if she asked.
“Wow,” he said as she approached. “You’re… georgous. Really elegant tonight.”
She smirked. “You clean up okay too. No McLaren cap tonigh ?”
“I brought one,” he teased, patting his chest. “Emergency use only.,if a kid get lost again”
She rolled her eyes, but her smile betrayed her. “Let’s eat before you start handing them out.”
They were seated on a quiet terrace overlooking the water, the clink of glasses and the murmur of other diners providing just enough cover for nerves.
“So,” she began, folding her napkin, “when you’re not rescuing lost children and stealing phone numbers, how's is tour life like?”
Lando laughed. “Oh, just some light go-karting. On an international scale. No big deal.”
“I think I’ve heard of it,” she said dryly.
After a beat, he asked, “So what made you want to wrangle children for a living? Seems like you could do something far less… chaotic.”
She tilted her head. “Chaos is kind of my thing. Teaching’s exhausting, yeah, but it’s also... deeply rewarding. I love the curiosity, the little victories. And I love showing them something new. After the race, I had ten of them who wanted to do study downforce and tire compounds. Do you know how rare that is in a classroom?”
“Honestly?” he grinned. “Sounds like you’re raising the next generation of engineers.”
“I hope so. Or drivers. Or… I don’t know. Curious, kind humans.”
He watched her for a long second, then said, “You’re good at it, aren’t you?”
“I try,” she said, a little surprised by his tone.
“You are,” he said. “I saw how Sara looked at you. That wasn’t fear or just respect. She trusted you. And that doesn’t happen by accident.”
She felt her cheeks flush. “Careful, Norris. You’re starting to sound like a grown-up.”
He laughed, tilting his head. “Don’t get used to it. I’m usually a menace.”
“I figured,” she said. “Before I first met you, I honestly thought you were just some reckless, childish guy with too much confidence and not enough sense. I get enough of that during class.”
Lando clutched his chest, mock wounded. “Ouch. Harsh.”
“But fair,” she added.
He chuckled. “Okay, fine. You’re not wrong. I am childish sometimes. I like dumb jokes, fast things, and annoying my friends.” He paused, looking at her more seriously. “But tonight? I’m just trying to impress you.”
That stunned her into silence for a second.
She recovered with a soft smile. “Well. Consider me… mildly impressed.”
He grinned, but then she shifted the conversation again.
“You were so good with Sara. Not a lot of people know how to talk to kids. How are you so good at it?”
Something changed in his expression. He leaned back a little, fingers tapping lightly against his glass.
“I think…” he began slowly, “I think I just remember being that kid. The one who was obsessed with cars. Who lived and breathed racing. Who dreamt so big it didn’t even make sense. And if one of the drivers I admired had ever looked at me, really seen me and said something kind or just… paid attention? That would’ve meant everything.”
Y/N stayed quiet, letting him speak.
“So I try to be that guy now,” he said. “The one who makes space for those kids. Especially the little ones who look lost or overwhelmed. I don’t always get it right. But I try.”
She stared at him, moved. “That’s… honestly kind of beautiful.”
He shrugged, like brushing it off made it less vulnerable. “I mean, don’t tell anyone. I’ve got a reputation to uphold.”
“Your secret’s safe with me,” she whispered.
Their eyes met. Something shifted. The conversation slowed, deepened, turned into a soft current pulling them closer.
“So,” he said after a moment, playfully nudging her foot under the table, “how are we doing so far? Am I winning this date?”
She tilted her head, smirking. “You’ve avoided all major red flags. No chewing with your mouth open. No sticker bribes. A surprising amount of introspection.”
He grinned. “I’m saving the chewing-with-mouth-open for date three.”
She laughed, shaking her head. “Date three? Already making plans?”
“Just saying,” he said, leaning closer, his voice a little lower, “if tonight ends with a yes, I’m definitely asking you out again.”
“And what makes you so confident I’ll say yes?”
“Because,” he murmured, eyes warm, “you’re smiling like you already have.”
She stared at him, this sweet, clever, chaotic, unexpectedly deep man and realized… he was right.
“Maybe I am,” she said quietly.
The restaurant’s terrace had long since emptied, the soft clink of cutlery replaced by the hush of late-night Monaco. Lando offered to walk her home before she even had to ask.
They stepped out onto the cobbled street, the glow from storefronts casting gentle halos on the sidewalk.
“So,” she said, wrapping her arms around herself more out of habit than chill, “do you always go full gentleman after a race win?”
Lando glanced sideways at her, hands tucked casually in his pockets. “Nope. This is strictly VIP treatment.”
“Oh? And what exactly did I do to earn such an upgrade?”
He grinned. “Didn’t tackle me when you found out I was famous. That alone deserves flowers.”
She laughed, shaking her head. “I had a kid to chase. Didn’t have time for fangirling.”
“Exactly. You’re terrifyingly efficient. That’s very attractive.”
She smile and the space between them grow thiner, their hands brushing here and there.
They fell into step again, their pace unhurried, as if the night had conspired to slow down just for them.
Her apartment wasn’t far and when they reached her building’s steps, she turned to face him, one foot on the bottom stair.
“Well,” she said softly. “This is me.”
“I figured,” he said, glancing up toward the window with a small, almost boyish smile.
They stood there a moment, the silence between them full but not awkward. A good silence. A “neither of us wants to end this” kind of silence.
He rubbed the back of his neck, looking up at her. “So… I had fun tonight.”
“Me too,” she said, heart ticking faster now that it was just the two of them, the city dim behind them.
“You’re not what I expected,” he added, voice quieter now. “You’re smarter. Sharper. And a lot harder to impress.”
She tilted her head. “Is that a challenge?”
His smile was crooked. “Maybe.”
She took a step down, so they were on the same level now, barely inches apart.
“You’re not what I expected either,” she admitted. “I thought you’d be all ego and reckless charm.”
He held up his hands in mock surrender. “To be fair, that is most of my personality.”
She chuckled. “But tonight you were kind. Thoughtful. Gentle.”
His expression softened, like she’d touched something just under the surface.
“I told you,” he said. “I was trying to impress you.”
“You did,” she said quietly. “You really did.”
The air between them changed, warmer, slower, like the universe had just given them a moment to breathe.
Lando leaned forward slightly, his voice barely above a whisper. “Would it be crazy if I kissed you right now?”
She blinked, heart now firmly lodged somewhere in her throat. “It might be.”
“But would it be wrong?”
Her answer came in the form of her hand reaching up to lightly touch his chest, steady, quiet confirmation.
He didn’t rush. He leaned in slow, his hand brushing gently along her jaw like he was still waiting for a sign to stop.
And when their lips finally met, soft, certain, and warm, the world around them faded entirely.
It wasn’t fireworks or a movie crescendo. It was better.
It was real.
He pulled back first, just slightly, lips still close, breath warm against her skin.
“I’ve been wanting to do that since the paddock,” he murmured.
She smiled, eyes still closed for half a second longer. “And you did good not kissing me in front of one of my student.”
“Noted,” he said. “But I can’t promise anything.”
She laughed, then stepped back, just enough to let the space settle.
“Goodnight, Lando.”
“Goodnight, Y/N.”
He waited until she slipped inside the building, still wearing that small, dreamy smile, then turned, hands in his pockets again, and walked into the Monaco night like the happiest man alive.
A month had passed since that night on the cobbled street outside her apartment, the night he’d kissed her like she was something fragile and electric all at once.
Since then, Lando and Y/N had slipped into something almost like a relationship. Late-night texts turned into coffee the next morning. Long FaceTime calls after his flights blurred into afternoons spent wrapped up on her couch, his head on her lap, her fingers brushing absentmindedly through his curls as they talked about things he didn’t usually let people hear.
He liked this quiet life with her. The slowness. The steadiness.
And though they hadn’t labeled anything, he was sure of what it was becoming.
He was falling for her.
Every time she laughed, every time she told a story about one of her kids with that glowing kind of fondness in her voice, he fell a little harder. It terrified him, in the best way.
Still, doubt crept in around the edges.
Would she really want him? The guy who lived out of suitcases, who flew to different time zones like it was just another grocery run? The one with microphones shoved in his face, rumors written in headlines, and fans who treated privacy like a joke?
Would she want to build something real with him, when her whole life was rooted in structure, patience, and carefully timed snack breaks?
Maybe.
And maybe not.
But today, he was going to find out.
He stood outside the school gate in Monaco, holding a slightly lopsided bouquet of tulips and daisies, the kind that looked somehow perfect for her. No reason, just because. Because she deserved flowers. Because he needed a little courage.
The plan had been simple: she’d told him she was free after class, and he offered to pick her up. But as the bell rang and parents trickled in, she still hadn’t appeared.
Inside, something colorful caught his eye through the half-open door to her classroom.
Ten kids remained.
Not in detention, in full, chaotic, unfiltered enthusiasm. They were gathered around her like she was a celebrity and a saint all at once, waving their drawings in her face with joyful urgency.
“Miss Y/N! Look! I drew your car with rocket boosters!”
“Miss, I made you getting married, look, I draw the dress!”
“I drew a giraffe. I like giraffes.”
Y/N knelt between them, laughing, holding each drawing like it was a museum piece.
“Oh wow, Maxime, that’s a very powerful rocket car. I’m not sure if it’s road-legal, but the shading is amazing.”
“Anna, this… is deeply concerning, but also? Very creative.”
“And Baptiste,” she smiled, holding up the giraffe. “Honestly? That’s the best one of the bunch.”
Lando leaned on the doorframe, still unseen, his heart punching hard against his ribs.
God, she was good at this.
He caught sight of Lara, the little girl from the paddock, now missing a front tooth and holding a drawing of what looked like a very abstract race car.
He smiled.
One day, he’d have to thank her properly.
Then one of the kids spotted him.
“MISS Y/N,” a small voice squealed. “LOOK! HE’S HERE! YOUR BOYFRIEND IS HERE!”
Y/N froze. All heads turned.
Lando straightened from the doorframe, holding the flowers like they might shield him from a stampede.
And it was a stampede.
“Oh my gosh, it’s the papaya driver!”
“Lando! Lando, do you drive to school?”
“Are you rich? How fast can you go? Do you have a yacht?!”
“Why are you here?”
“Can you sign my drawing?”
Amid the chaos, Y/N stood slowly, face bright red, one hand rising instinctively to her temple like she was bracing for impact.
She looked at Lando across the sea of tiny bodies.
He didn’t say anything. He just smiled.
And held out the flowers to her.
Her breath caught.
She took a step, then another, until she reached him. Her fingers closed around the stems.
“Hi,” she said, quiet and slightly breathless.
“Hi,” he replied, grinning like a complete idiot. “These are for you.”
She glanced down at them, then up again, some soft understanding blooming in her expression.
“Thanks,” she said. “They’re… really nice.”
One of the bolder kids shrieked, “IS HE YOUR BOYFRIEND OR WHAT?”
Silence fell.
Y/N looked at Lando.
He didn’t hesitate.
“Well,” he said, not loud enough for all ten kids to hear but she did, his eyes never left hers, “I’d like to be.”
She blinked, startled by the clarity of it.
He stepped closer, speaking now just for her.
“I know I travel a lot. I know my life’s a mess. But when I’m not racing, I want to be here. With you. Because this? Us? It’s the only thing lately that feels like home.”
Her eyes softened. A slow, unshakable smile curved her lips.
“Well,” she said, voice warm and amused. “I guess you are now, my boyfriend I mean.”
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.”
Behind them, the kids erupted.
“I KNEW IT!”
“I told you she liked him!”
“Wait, are they gonna kiss now?”
“EW, GROSS!”
Y/N turned, laughing. “Alright, okay, okay! Everyone, backpacks on, we’re leaving! If you behave, maybe he’ll sign your drawing next time!”
The kids squealed in delight.
Lando leaned in as she gently ushered them out the door. “Was that a threat or a promise?”
She turned to him, eyes glittering. “You’ll find out.”
And when the last child finally left and the hallway quieted, he looked at her again, still smiling like he couldn’t believe his luck.
She held the flowers a little tighter, leaned in, and kissed him, quick, certain, unmistakably his.
“That,” she whispered, “was definitely a promise.”
And this time, there were no more questions left to ask.

“but please shut up” — ln4
summary: from the SINGLE PARENT UNIVERSE and based on THIS request, I present to you 2k words about the moment Yn first said the three words to Lando, and then told him to shut up (or something like that). (I am reposting this because I didn’t like the first version, so... yeah. no more yn now)
──────────────────
You and Lando had been dating for no longer than six months when the words finally slipped out of your mouth.
It was a Saturday morning. A sunny one, to be precise. One of those rare occasions that normally meant peeling Olivia away from the TV and getting her ready for a picnic at the park, or for riding a bike, or for doing just any activity that allowed you to soak the sun as much as possible.
On that particular Saturday morning, though, the clear sky wasn’t the only rare thing happening in London.
For starters, you weren’t at your place, but at Lando’s apartment. Something that had never happened before. Not in the morning, at least. Not as a result of spending the night there.
Then, of course, because you weren’t at your own place, there was also the fact that Olivia wasn’t there, with you. Instead, your sister had taken her to Bristol so she could spend a fun weekend with her cousins. And so you and Lando could have some time alone.
So, yeah, of course—things were different that morning.
And yes, maybe you could have sensed that something else would happen, something you didn’t see coming because it also normally never happened.
But you didn’t.
All you did was wake up wrapped in Lando’s arms, kiss him good morning, and drag yourself out of bed. On your way across the bedroom, you grabbed one of his hoodies and put it on. Warm, oversized, and smelling like him. Exactly how you liked it.
Once you made it to the kitchen, the space opened into sunlight and sleek surfaces. Fancy. Clean. Organized. Looking not even one bit like the messy tiny home you owned. With no crayons forgotten on the table, no mermaids and unicorns in the mugs and cups and plates, no colorful drawings stuck to the fridge. And yet just as comfortable and cozy in its own Lando Norris’ way.
It made you smile, for some reason. A smile that you kept on your face while trying to decide what to make for breakfast, and that only grew bigger when Lando finally joined you in, wrapping his arms around your waist and resting his chin on your shoulder while you cracked four eggs into a small bowl.
“Hmm,” he murmured, his morning voice sending chills down through your spine. “You look really nice in my kitchen… Wearing my clothes… Smelling like me…”
You tilted your head slightly, leaning into his curls as he kissed your neck and just settled there, keeping up with your movements—with the whisking of the eggs and the soft clink of the fork echoing in that quiet morning.
You could tell Lando was happy with that setting, with spending the morning together after also having spent the night together. Something you couldn’t really do very often, considering you still weren’t ready to add him into Olivia’s routine like that. Not without making sure—making fully, fully sure—that this wasn’t just a temporary thing for him. That he was staying in for good, and that he was actually willing to have a role not just in your life, but also in your daughter’s life.
Which, to be honest, was becoming more and more easy to see as time went by.
Like when he stepped away to grab the milk from the fridge and very casually asked, “Talked to Liv yet?”
“Not yet,” you said, then waited until he had splashed a bit of the milk into the small bowl to keep going. “Told my sister I’d give them a call after breakfast.”
You sprinkled in a pinch of salt and went back to whisking, meanwhile Lando got himself busy by grabbing a pan and dropping a knob of butter into it.
“I hope she’s having fun,” he said, distracted as he switched on the hob and placed the pan above the humming heat. “Y’know, I was thinking about what it’d be like to take her to the beach.”
You paused.
You paused and stared at the bowl. Right in front of you.
And Lando laughed.
And the butter sizzled gently.
And then the smell of it filled the space.
Warm. Comforting.
“Sandcastle chaos, for sure,” he added.
Still chuckling.
Still nonchalant.
As if mentioning he had been thinking about your daughter and about how it would be to spend time with her didn’t bring this funny feeling to your chest. As if it wasn’t a big deal. As if it was normal.
You swallowed.
To be fair, when it came to Lando, it actually wasn’t weird. Because he did that a lot—dropping how much he cared in the most subtle, random ways. In the little things.
But this morning, for some reason, it seemed to happen more than usual.
He did it again, for instance, as you were sitting around the small table and having breakfast. As he was telling you about these new clothes he had bought online. Casually, randomly. Just by asking, “Purple’s her favourite, right?”
To which you furrowed her brows and mumbled a simple, “huh?”
“Liv’s.” He scraped the fork against his plate, gathering the scrambled eggs, and shrugged. “I saw these really cute tiny trainers that made me think of her.” He scooped up the food and shoved it inside his mouth. But he didn’t stop, he just chewed as he talked, muffling the words. “They were… Mmph… Puh’pul… Yeah?… Puh’pul’s her fav’rite… Innit?”
“I—Yeah. Purple’s her favourite color, yeah.”
He smiled, swallowed and nodded, all proud of himself.
“I knew it.” He took a sip of coffee, then focused on the beans still left on his plate. “Didn’t get them though…” He shoved the fork back into his mouth. Words mumbled as he chewed again. “Didn’know’er size, so… Oh!” He swallowed and shuffled on his seat. “Shit.” He coughed, choking a little around the food that had gone down his throat. “Um… Just remembered… Did I tell you about this… About this new idea we had for the next collection? I didn’t, did I?”
“Um… I don’t think so, no…”
“Right. Yeah. So, listen to this…”
And so he rambled about something else.
And you listened.
Trying to absorb as much as possible. Trying to understand. Trying to make sense.
But then, as you were putting the dishes in the sink and talking about the next few weekends and how busy his schedule would be, he did it again.
He brought her up again.
“I’ll try to come home as much as I can,” he said, “but y’know, if you ever want to come to a race one day, I’d love to have you there. Not just you, but Liv, too. Like, not now, of course, but later, when you’re ready. I’d like that.”
And like a cherry on top, while you had your hands submerged in warm soapy water, he asked, “Hey, is it weird if I frame that little drawing Liv made the other day?”
You stopped.
And blinked at the plate you had in your hands.
“The one she said was for good luck?” Lando added, pacing in the kitchen. Not in a nervous way, but in that very particular excited version of him. Full of caffeine. Hair sticking up in three different directions. Hands moving along with his words. Babbling.
Always babbling.
“Or maybe not frame it but put it on the fridge or… I don’t know… Something. Just… Somewhere I can always see it… Y’know? Would that be weird?”
You blinked again.
“Because I won’t if it’s weird… Don’t want to make it weird…”
“Lando…” you mumbled, eyes still fixed on the dish in your hand.
“I mean I don’t know what the protocol is here… I know you said you wanted to take things slow when it comes to her, and I totally get it… I mean you know way better than I do, so I trust your judgment… It’s just that she’s so great, y’know? And that drawing is so cute. It’s been back and forth with me for weeks now, but I wanted to check with you because I—”
“For the love of God!” You dropped the sponge and the plate and turned around, water dripping from your fingers as you glared at him. “Lando, I swear I love you so much, but can you just please shut the fuck up for a moment?”
Lando stopped.
No. Lando froze.
Mid-step.
Not even looking at you.
Just.. Hand reaching into the cabinet. Eyes fixed ahead. Blinking to the clean tableware.
And you didn’t even notice, so you just sighed. Loudly. Dropping your shoulders. Grabbing a tea towel to wipe your hands. And then trying again.
“Sorry. I don’t mean like, shut the fuck up, but just… Y’know, give me a minute to think? You’re like… Nonstop right now! Just going on and on and on about Livie and it’s just—”
“What did you just say?”
You looked at him.
He was still facing away, still frozen on the spot.
“That you’re going on and on about—”
“No. Not that.” He dropped his arms to his sides and turned towards you. “Before.”
You frowned, searching inside your head for whatever you could’ve said that made him look like that right now—pale, shocked, terrified. On the verge of freaking out.
“I don’t know. What did I—”
“Love me,” Lando murmured. “You said you love me.”
“What?”
“You said,” —he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, as if gathering the strength to say the words— “Lando I love you so much but can you please shut the fuck up.”
“Oh.”
“That’s what you said. You said you love me.”
“Shit. Lan…”
You stepped forward.
And he stepped backward.
“Nuh-uh.” He raised one finger, pointing it at you. “Nope. Stay there.”
Your lips tugged up.
“Babe… C’mon.”
“You love me.”
“Mhmm…”
Lando dropped his arm.
Then opened his mouth, then closed it again.
And then he looked away, dropping his posture like he had just been punched in the stomach.
“Holy shit,” he said. “I didn’t—I wasn’t—wow. Wow. Ok. Okay. Yeah. That’s—That’s just… Ok. I mean, did you—You really meant that?”
At that, you laughed.
“Lando…” You dropped the tea towel on the counter and took a step forward, a tiny one. Just to make sure you could. That he wouldn’t run off. “Baby. Just breathe, okay?”
“I am breathing.”
“You’re also sweating.”
“I’m not—” He raised one hand, touching the back of his neck. And then he shook his head. “Maybe, who cares. That’s not the point.”
“Right… Then what’s the point?” you tried, softly this time. Stepping just a bit closer.
“That you love me.”
“Okay.” Standing in front of him, you placed your hands on his chest and nodded. “So? You’ll get used to it.”
Lando snorted and looked at you, his own hands instantly finding your waist. Almost involuntarily. As if they belonged there. As if it was the only natural reaction when having you so close to him.
“You’re just… You think this is funny?”
“A little, yeah.”
“I’m freaking out here.”
“I know. I know you would. That’s why I’ve been holding myself from saying it out loud.”
He pulled you closer, and yet also flinched. Chin and head jerking back slightly while he made sure your body was as close as possible to his. “Why would you ever do that?”
“Why?!” You laughed and slid your hands up his chest, then up his shoulders and neck, until you were able to link your fingers through the short curls on the back of his head. “Did you see your reaction just now?”
“So? Just because I’m weird and freak out like this sometimes doesn’t mean that I… Y’know… That I don’t… I mean I just…”
“I know.” You nodded and launched yourself forward, kissing his cheek before landing back on your feet. “I know you do, babe. So whenever you’re ready. That’s okay.”
He sighed and leaned down, pressing his forehead against yours.
“Bloody hell I do. But now I’m gonna wait until you least expect it. Freak the hell out of you, too.”
You laughed and arched forward, barely lifting off your heels as you reached for a kiss.
Lando reacted quickly, closing his eyes and kissing you back.
And then, around his lips, you murmured, “Bring it on, babe. I dare you.”

The Paddock Baby
Dad!Oscar Piastri x Sick!Daughter!reader
Summary: In which Oscar Piastrias daughter is unwell in the paddock but Oscar still has to attend to media duties but it's okay because all she wants is her daddy
Warnings: Mentions of stomach bug, fever, clingy, fluff, use of the names 'darling' and 'sweetie'

Oscar's heart was racing—not because of the usual tension of qualifying, or the anticipation of race day—but because of the little bundle of energy in his arms, the one that wasn’t so energetic today.
Three-year-old you, his child, were clinging to him like a koala on a tree. Your face was buried in the crook of his neck, and your tiny little hands were gripping the collar of his shirt as if it were the only thing holding you to this world.
Oscar couldn’t help but chuckle softly as he glanced down at you, noting how you looked pale and slightly flushed from whatever bug had decided to strike you in the middle of a race weekend. You were still adorable in your tiny Mclaren-themed onesie which Zak had bought and insisted you wear at least once this weekend, your golden curls slightly damp from a nap he’d tried to coax you into. But now, the fever had set in, and all you wanted was your dad.
"Hey, little champ," he murmured softly, adjusting your position in his arms as he walked through the crowded paddock. “Feeling better?”
You sniffled into his neck, not answering, only curling in tighter. He could feel the heat from your forehead press against his skin, making his heart ache a little more.
"I know, I know," he said, trying to reassure you, though his own nerves were starting to creep up on him. The interviews were next, and there was no way he could skip them. It was one of the busiest weekends of the season, and he had to be at his best for his team and his sponsors.
He smiled as a couple of photographers waved at him, but when they saw the little one in his arms, their expressions softened. It was well-known that Oscar was a family man, but seeing him carrying his child in the paddock, his typically composed demeanor now a bit more fragile with a sick little one in his arms, was a different sight.
"Sorry, mate, she’s a bit under the weather today," Oscar said to one of the photographers who gave him an understanding look. He felt an unspoken wave of support and respect as they backed off, giving him some space.
As Oscar made his way toward the interview area, he could hear the voice of his team’s PR manager, Sarah, calling to him from behind. "Oscar, we're on in five minutes. Is she alright? Should we reschedule?"
He shook his head, trying to mask his concern with a smile. "No, no, we’re good. I’ll manage."
You let out a soft whimper, and Oscar felt his heart tug. "It's okay, darling. Daddy's got you." He whispered it over and over like a mantra, feeling like he was walking a fine line between being the Formula 1 driver everyone expected him to be and the dad he knew he was.
When they reached the media area, Oscar had to pause for a moment, adjusting your position in his arms so you weren’t pressing too hard against his chest. You were so small—he could easily hold you in one arm, but with how sick you were, you weren’t just heavy in weight, but emotionally heavy too.
“Alright,” he muttered to himself. "Let’s get this over with.”
As he sat down for the interview, you rested your head against his shoulder, the soft whimpers still escaping your mouth as you tried to fight the drowsiness the fever brought on.
The first couple of questions were normal enough. The reporters asked about the weekend, the car, his thoughts on qualifying, but they kept glancing at you. It was clear the baby in his arms was taking more attention than the typical line of questioning.
"Looks like you’ve got some company today, Oscar," one of the reporters remarked, chuckling lightly. "Your daughter doesn’t look too well."
Oscar gave a half-smile, nodding. "Yeah, she’s not feeling great. Poor thing’s got a stomach bug. But she’s a trooper."
He adjusted you slightly as you let out a tiny whine, causing a few of the reporters to give each other concerned looks. One of them, a woman with a kind smile, spoke up. “Do you want to take a break? We can reschedule, Oscar. You don’t have to do this right now.”
Oscar paused, his eyes darting between the interviewer and his daughter, who had now settled into the crook of his arm.
He could feel his own worries surfacing. He loved racing, but you—his little one—came first. And this moment wasn’t just about him; it was about showing that balance between his career and his life as a dad.
"No," he said softly but firmly, "We’re almost done here, and I promised my team I’d be here. Besides, she seems to like being close to Daddy right now. I think we’ll be okay."
Another reporter asked a question, but Oscar was no longer entirely focused. His eyes were on you—your little face pressed against him, still hot with fever, but now calm in his embrace. His heart ached, but it also swelled with love. You were his world. You were the only constant in his life, even when racing seemed to take over everything.
He answered the next couple of questions with a professionalism that had taken years to perfect, but internally, his mind was a whirl of concern for you.
The cameras flashed, and one of the photographers caught a candid shot of Oscar gazing down at you, looking both tender and tired. It was a raw, unpolished moment. The kind of shot that would go viral.
As soon as the interview wrapped up, he stood and immediately took a deep breath of relief. Sarah, his PR manager, was waiting nearby. "You did great, Oscar. But seriously, let’s get her checked out. You can’t work with her like this."
Oscar nodded, already starting to walk toward the medical area. You were still in his arms, though now your eyes were closed, and your little breaths were more shallow, as if sleep was trying to claim you.
“I’m sorry, sweetie,” he whispered. “Daddy’s got you. Just hang in there a little longer.”
After a short consultation with the paddock doctor, they confirmed it was just a mild stomach bug, and thankfully, there was nothing more serious to worry about. They gave Oscar some fluids for you and suggested he keep you hydrated.
By the time they left the medical area, Oscar felt a sense of relief wash over him. You were still drowsy, but at least you were no longer too hot to the touch. He cradled you against him as he walked back to the team’s garage.
"I think someone’s ready for a nap," Oscar murmured, brushing a lock of hair from your face. You shifted slightly in his arms, now clinging to him in your sleep, but the tension had left your little body.
Oscar’s phone buzzed with messages from his manager and sponsors, but for the first time all day, he felt the weight of it all slide off his shoulders. As he walked through the paddock, he realized something. His world wasn’t just here in the garage, or on the track, or under the spotlight—it was also right here, in his arms.
His daughter.
His little champion.
The team would have to wait for a bit. He had the most important thing in the world to focus on right now.

I grew up in Southern California. Normal weather includes fire, ash raining from the sky, earthquakes. I've lived in Tornado Alley, Hurricane Country, and Blizzard Country. I've seen dry lightning and had Zeus gutter his bowling ball right over my fucking roof, thunder crack so loud everything JUMPED.
Most Americans live somewhere there are BIBLICAL natural disasters as regular weather. And this is before climate change, this is just what it's like here. We have EXTREME weather here. People have also lived here for millions of years, most of them without the technology we enjoy today that increases safety and the ability to survive more injury and disaster than ever before.
Let me tell you something else. It's a number.
369
That's how many California Condors are flying free in the skies of my home region as of last year's count. Do you want to know how many there were when I was born, nearly forty years ago?
0
We did that. Scientists and politicians and regular people all did that together. In 1979 the scientists said they had to try and capture and breed the 27 remaining condors in captivity. People said it was impossible. people said what was the use, they'd be extinct in a few years anyway. But enough people said, "I want my grandchildren to see them. Let them try. What do you need, scientists?"
"But that's too expensive" said the haters.
"We're going to try anyway," said local politicians, said regular joes, and got what they could. And the scientists tried. They made puppets of adult condors to make sure the babies didn't get raised tame. They tried. And tried. And tried.
And now there are 369 of them flying free in their natural home again. There are over 500 if you count the ones in captivity--the breeding program is still going!
So remember that number. 369. Tell their story to yourself like a rosary against losing hope. And look at this picture of where my mom grew up (Los Angeles):
My mom was 13 in the picture on the left. She tells me stories about how back then, the air was sometimes so poisonous that they kept the children indoors for days on end. She had to have recess inside. In 2005, she was 50, and her children had never lived a day having to know what it was to be told, "the air is too dangerous to breathe, stay inside today". People did that. People cleaned up the air.
here's a post where lots more people chime in with conservation success stories. @reasonsforhope is a blog worth going through and watching so you know what good things are happening because people are standing up for our little blue spaceship in the big sky.
It's going to be okay.
We can fix it.
We ARE fixing it.
Ok, loves, so we've all got the message that joking about suicide is bad for your mental health. Now we need to get on "joking that the planet/all of humanity has no future" is bad for societal health/encouraging resistance to bad shit."

suselle is so awesome because it develops by both girls' own choices (in the normal route obvi) and not any meddling from the player. (the only interference you can cause suselle is stopping it from developing in the weird route)
like ch2 makes this most obvious imo. noelle is the one who chooses to approach at the beginning of the chapter and ask susie to study together. even if you don't talk to noelle about susie at the end of ch1, she still decides to reach out to susie on her own terms the next day!
the big suselle scene of the chapter is the ferris wheel, which we have no control of whatsoever. we are voyeurs at best and that is it. noelle thinks it's a dream, but susie knows it isn't- knows what noelle is saying is real and honest because what would the point of lying even be?
ch4 though... it's so excellent. susie just approaches noelle after the sermon without telling kris her plan!! and noelle *thinks* to ask permission, but decides against it entirely and goes for an opportunity to spend time with susie and kris is also there
minor note: i'm obsessed with susie calling noelle "top shelf" when she's talking to rudy after church. it's such a specific descriptor that tells you about susie's (lack of) self esteem and how she perceives noelle. don't let anyone tell you suselle lacks character depth because they're LYING TO YOU!!!
the basement scene, dess's bedroom scene, and guitar scene are all just so good. dess's bedroom & the guitar scene are so illuminating to me. dess is obviously a sore subject in the holiday home, but relatively new-in-town susie probably doesn't know anything about dess besides that she exists and isn't in hometown right now. for all susie knows, dess is at college with asriel or something. noelle doesn't tell susie that she's intruding on the bedroom and prized possession of a missing teenager. she just... sits with her. and we can't do anything about it! all we can do is make the dess's bedroom scene shorter by getting to the guitar before the dialogue runs out, but then we've gotten the guitar and now noelle is going to suggest (OF HER OWN FREE WILL) that susie try to play it.
she asks susie out to the festival! and susie accepts!
i am just so compelled by the character work present in these scenes. noelle has grown despite believing ch2 to have been a dream, and it shows via her scenes with susie. and it rules
#deltarune#noelle holiday#susie deltarune#suselle#deltarune meta#people want you think they're toothless yuri so bad but it just isn't the case#noelle has hangups with how she describes her friendship to kris bc of how it all fell apart#theres always a barrier there [in the normal route]#but her interactions with susie tell us so much about her desires beyond wanting to kiss the purple dragon#she wants to FEEL her sister in her home even if she's missing#she wants to hear dess's guitar be played.#the good kind of scary#utdr#deltarune chapter 4

You guys hear that? It's the sound of my original writing plans flying away because I got an AU idea. Mmmmm I love ADHD.
Oh well, this AU should be pretty cool and I hope you'll like it! This isn't a series I'm gonna be solely focusing on like the Eyes series. If yall wanna see more from this AU sooner rather than later, send in an ask.
To Die is to Live
Yandere!Monster!Forsaken x Reader; Yandere!Monster!Block Tales x Reader
Warnings: Obsession and other general yandere behaviors
Note: This is an AU heavily based on/directly inspired by Homicipher. @allimili 's CRK x Homicipher AU was also an inspiration (your work is so peak btw, never change). It's also gonna get really dark since it's basically a Homicipher AU of Forsaken and Block Tales.
Furthermore, I wanna say that this MC is akin to another alternate version of the Eyes MC. Teehee.
I love experimenting with my writing :D
And don't worry, I'll still fufill requests. I just wanted to write this. Enjoy!
--☆☆☆☆☆--
You didn't know how you got here.
Your memories felt like a jumbled mess, as if your head had been plucked off your body, shaken around like a maraca, and then placed back on your neck with no cares in the world.
Bruises litered your body, and you tasted something metallic in your mouth, as if you had bit your cheek. But you didn't feel any injuries inside your mouth, so you ignored it after spitting out what looked like normal saliva.
You rubbed your eyes, before your vision cleared a bit and you processed... uh.
You could only describe this place as... a mess. Mold stained the walls, cobwebs nestled in each corner, and stains covered the tile floor. This place felt like what you could only describe as a giant indoor mall as you scanned the area, wondering where you were and what was going on.
You searched in your brain, desperate for any hint of knowledge you weild to help you piece together where you were.
Then you recall the rumors online about an alternate world that can trap others within it if they enter a damaged room with no windows when it rains. You never really believed in them despite all the warnings older folk online gave you about them.
But... what if you got there?
You remember someone attacking you and you desperately fighting them off, before stumbling into a random room in the abandoned mall- soon to be torn down- to try to hide after you...
...
...
...
You don't remember what you did to that person. You can guess they beat you pretty badly, though, and you fled to avoid them killing you or worse, judging from all your wounds and how you've never been someone super strong.
You just stand up, looking for any exit and trying to recall all the information you knew about this place.
A lot of people, around your age at least, called the Other World a copy of the Backrooms. But this place, while giant, wasn't infinite. And there had to be a clear way out.
Of course, no one who went in came out according to the stories, but you could always change that.
You opened the only door and peered out, seeing no signs of life as you stared out into what looked like a giant abandoned mall. Like an alternate, larger, and more warped version of what you walked into to get here. But there were other things too, and made this place feel like a giant mashpit of so many different abandoned and damaged places.
You just walked out and wandered around, regretting that all you had on you was a black raincoat and your usual clothes. You didn't even have an umbrella.
You had no weapons in case there was anything dangerous here. And you were injured and had no clue how to fight. If there were any monsters like this was the Backrooms, you're as good as dead.
And being dead doesn't work well with your goal to go home.
Your feet pad across the dusty and dirty ground, and you look around for anything that seems familiar.
Maybe if you found the exit to the mall, that'd be the exit to this world. Maybe then you'd get home.
You weren't sure. You just hoped. And what more could you do?
You looked around as you went, trying to see anything that caught your attention. You noted what looked like green buds with leaves that you occasionally found nestled in an upper corner, but they didn't seem to special so you didn't pay them too much mind.
You did think you saw one close back into a bud when you looked at it, and you swore there was an eye at its center. You just looked away, not wanting to fuck around with the ominous plant things.
Though, after that, you tried to stay out in the open less. Hanging out near the walls and searching more intently for a weapon while hoping nothing showed up to attack you.
Unfortunately, you weren't that lucky.
A thumping sound approaching made you flinch and duck into an abandoned store-like area while peaking out slightly through the window to see whatever is wandering past.
Whatever it was, it looked like a fucked up human. It wore a hardhat that covered the entirely of its upper face, but you saw blood leaking down from the inside of the hat and staining the gray skin on his face. He seemed to be wearing a gray hoodie of sorts, but the blood that stained it made you uncomfortable.
He seemed to be looking around for something (you had no idea if he could see with no visible eyes) and you noted the hammer he held in one of his hands.
You just stayed still, hoping he would leave as you panicked over the fact there were monsters here. You just stayed quiet, not even daring to breathe.
Then his head turned to look over in your direction, then angled to stare directly at you. You didn't move, didn't breathe. Just stared at where his eyes would be while silently praying to whatever god was out there.
Your prayers were ignored.
Immediately, the creature moved, approaching the glass as it stared down at you, before raising its hammer.
You screamed, turned around, and ran through the store, hearing the shattering of glass behind you as you narrowly avoided the shards from hitting you, weaving through bare clothing racks and through aisles as you desperately sped away.
From the thumps you heard, it was following you. You just fled into the backrooms of the store and scurried into a box the moment you got space between you and the monster.
As you hoped your violent shaking wouldn't disturb the box to not give your location away, you felt tears stinging your eyes as you heard the thumps of the monster get closer happened, some unintelligible noises you didn't understand that sounded like it came from between two different beings, before the thumps faded away.
You didn't dare exit the box. Especially when you heard thumps again, these ones sounding different than the original monster's. Then you heard them pause, and the sound of boxes being opened nearby you.
Your breathing hitched as you quickly tried to bury yourself more in the box and hoped the monster would stay away.
Then some thumps got uncomfortably close, and the box you were in opened.
You stared up at this new monster, and screamed again.
--☆☆☆--
Whatever it was, it was definitely not human. Sure, this one had normal skin and was wearing glasses, but from the spider-like mandibles jutting out from the corners of its lips and the pupil-less and iris-less eyes with two smaller eyes above it, you knew this was a monster.
Its hands- with short claws on the end of each finger- rested on the sides of the box, keeping it open, as the monster stared down at you. Its mouth was open very slightly and you could see the fact it seemed to have stubble and was wearing... a burger-like hat. It also seemed to be wearing a blue sweater of sorts.
Then, another pair of near identical arms- separate from the ones holding the box open- reach into the box and pull your panicking and struggling form out. He held you out in front of him and only winced when you punched him in the head. He didn't seem too mad, though.
He just sighed and used his other pair of arms to pin your own to your sides. You squirmed, hoping he wouldn't eat you before,
"hxd xtjh? hxd dwqjavnm?"
You froze at the weird noises that emerged from his mouth, staring at him in confusion.
"...what?"
He stared at you, before speaking again.
"mxwc dwmnabcjwm. hxd bljanm. r fxwc qdac hxd. hxd bjon."
You stared at him blankly, trying to process whatever he was saying.
"hxd dwmnabcjwm vn? wx?"
You just slowly nodded, not understanding a word.
"...r cnjlq." He suddenly said, before using one of his extra limbs to point at himself, "vn." Then he pointed at you, "hxd."
Was he trying to teach you the language? Was he... friendly?
He repeated the words again and gave you an expectant look.
You hesitantly repeated the words, and he nodded and said them with the motions as if he was trying to get it into your head.
...
You decided to call him Mr. Spider, especially considering how his legs were what you could describe as four spider legs.
And god, you were relieved he wasn't eating you. But he wasn't putting you down either.
You hesitate, before motioning him to set you down. He gives you a confused look before... sitting?
You raise an eyebrow and try to pry yourself away, and he seems to finally process you don't want to be held onto and lets you go.
You back away as he stands up, looming over you. God, he's huge.
But as you start to walk away, he follows. His spidery feet tap against the ground as he easily keeps up with you.
You stare at him, face scrunched up in confusion.
"hxdan bljanm. r yaxcnlc. r oxuuxf jwm yaxcnlc." He casually tells you, staying close.
...you aren't fighting the giant spider man unarmed and when he's twice your size. You don't have a deathwish.
Though, Mr. Spider seemed to want to protect you, and you were not going to complain at all about having a giant man spider thing protecting you if anything else here was super dangerous.
...
"hxd" probably meant "you" and "vn" meant either "me" or "I". You weren't sure. All you knew is apparently this world has a whole different language compared to anything you heard.
And how Mr. Spider seemed more than willing to help teach you some of the language when you didn't understand.
You glance up at him, and he looks back at you with lidded eyes. You point at the shattered window, giving him a confused look.
"frwmxf." He notes, squinting a bit, "kaxtnw frwmxf."
...you're guessing "frwmxf" means window. No clue what "kaztnw" means, though.
As you and he went along, you continued pointing at things so he'd state what they are in his language so you'd understand it better.
It honestly was pretty helpful having a surprisingly friendly monster teaching you the language bit by bit. You didn't expect there to be friendly monsters here... at all. But at least there was Mr. Spider.
...
...
...
Loud stomps suddenly echoed through the halls, and you flinch and look around as Mr. Spider's eyes widen. Quickly, he grabs onto you and drags you close to him, and you see...
...
Oh god.
You stare up at whatever just crept out of the darkness. It's huge, looming over Mr. Spider and completely dwarfing you. It's skin was practically a neon red, with giant and demon-like horns sticking out of his forehead. A red hood and cape that matches it's skin color hangs off its body, and it seems to be emitting a glitch or fire effect of sorts, with visible and external ribs and an uncomfortably wide smile.
Black symbols are inscribed on its chest that you can't understand.
It stares directly at you and Mr. Spider, before making an excited noise and darting closer.
You flinch as it crouches down, it's demon-like tail seeming to wag as it speaks. It's black hands press against the walls, similarly-colored claws digging into the concrete, and you realize this thing is very, very powerful.
"mjm! mjm! hxd vjmn oarnwm?" It asks, it's voice loud and echoing, "mxnb oarnwm fjwc cx yujh? r fjwc cx yujh!"
You shake as it leans in close, intently staring at you. Mr. Spider shields you with his arms, before talking back at the new monster so quickly you can't even hear the words said.
A rapid conversation between the two happens, before the monster makes a happy noise and darts off, before making sounds like it's... counting?
Then Mr. Spider suddenly lifts you up and looks around, before placing you up in a gap in the ceiling and motioning you back into the dusty and dark space.
You have no idea what's happening as you creep back, barely able to see what's going on below you as Mr. Spider suddenly runs out of the room.
It's all quiet for a moment, your mind reeling as you try to process what just happened.
Then the red monster bursts back into the room, loudly giggling and toss around and open everything on the floor, as if... searching for something.
...does it think you're playing Hide and Seek with it?
As you see it throw aside a box and rip it open, you realize that if Mr. Spider didn't hide you up here, you'd probably be dead or injured enough you'd wish you were dead.
You shrink back slightly as the monster looks around before running out of the room, giggling.
...it acts a lot like a giant child. Hm...
You'll call it "Red Child".
You hear more sounds, more crashing and thuds, and eventually, you see Red Child excitedly scamper back into the room, and Mr. Spider follows after him, looking a little winded if not... slightly injured.
Red Child resumes searching for you, before Mr. Spider approaches your hiding space and gently pulls you out.
"oxdwm cqnv." He tells Red Child, who immediately perks up and bounds over.
"(You) qrmn fnuu! yujh jpjrw!" He says, trying to grab you. You flinch, and Mr. Spider thankfully pulls you away.
"fjrc. cqnhan fnjt. kn pnwcun. cqnh qdac njbh." Mr. Spider instructs, as Red Child seems disappointed for a moment before nodding and holding you like you were a misbehaving cat.
You sweat slightly as you stare at this giant, demonic monster child, who opens their mouth and shows rows of razor-sharp teeth. "r urtn hxd. (You) oarnwm."
You just frantically nod, not wanting to die.
"mjm! mjm! ljw fn tnny cqnv?" Red Child asks Mr. Spider, shaking you slightly. "cqnh odw! cqnh ldcn! r urtn!"
Mr. Spider just nods. "hnb."
Okay, judging from the nod that is clearly a version of "yes"...
Red Child makes a series of happy noises, shaking you a bit as they excitedly talk. "oarnwm! oarnwm! (You) bcjh qnan! fn yujh!"
...you're so screwed, aren't you?
--☆☆☆--
Being practically carried throughout the Other World by Red Child, who was fucking huge, while Mr. Spider stayed close was a fucking fever dream. And being brought to what you could only describe as someone who took a large closet and set some things up to make what you figured were makeshift beds with other things scattered about.
Being dropped into what was a mess of random clothes, towels, and even some blankets and pillows stunned you too.
Red Child giggles and begins to point around at thing. He starts with where you're sitting, which is the much larger one of the piles of clothes and other things.
"vh knm." Then he points at the smaller pile (which is still pretty big), "mjm knm."
"mjm"... he uses that word to refer to Mr. Spider. You wonder what it means.
Though, "knm" probably means "bed".
Red Child looks around, before his smile twitches, looking like he wants to frown and... can't.
"mjm!" He calls over to Mr. Spider, who looks up from where he was grabbing some things. "oarnwm mxnbw'c qjen (bed)! fn wnnm (bed) oxa oarnwm!"
What does "oarnwm" mean? It clearly refers to you, though. You're so confused.
"fnuu pnc oarnwm (bed). oxxm orabc." Mr. Spider says, picking up what looks like... uh... a bucket?
"dwmnabcxxm!" Red Child chirps out, "(you) cjtn oarnwm?"
"(You) fjwc (me) cjtn oarnwm?"
"(Yes)! cjtn oarnwm! oarnwm ldarxdb! bnn?" Red Child pokes your cheek, accidentally scraping your cheek slightly with his claw. You don't mention it, just staring blankly ahead. Then Red Child leans in close, tilting his head, "(you) fjwc px?"
You nod slightly, hesitant.
"bnn! oarnwm fjxc px!"
Mr. Spider stares at you, his expression calm, before he nods. Then he approaches you and picks you up, and you squirm a bit as you get carried out, Red Child waving at you until you're brought out and set down on the ground.
Are they... trying to keep you as a pet or something? They were talking about a bed for... you?
You glance up at Mr. Spider, who stares down at you before motioning you to follow him. He starts walking, and you stay still until he's a good bit away, and you book it.
So what if he's friendly? If he's trying to keep you as a pet with Red Child, that's a hell no from you.
You speed through the place, hoping your shoes are enough to muffle the sound of you running as you try your best to lose Mr. Spider as you hear him make a sound of confusion and follow after.
And somehow, you manage to do it.
You collapse on the ground, wheezing and shaking as sweat oozes off your brow and tears sting your eyes. But as the thuds fade away, you figure you're safe.
You sit there, processing everything for a long moment before you hear what sounds like digitized laughter.
"Q4Q4Q4Q4Q4Q4!" You look around in a panic, as the voice continues, "U0U. H0DAN VXA3 BL4A3M CQ4W K1AM."
Your eyes then lock with what looks like some kinda fucked up plant nestled in a corner of the wall, this one unfurled with an eye in the center staring right at you as a venus flytrap-like mouth talks.
"H0DA3 BV4UU. C1WH. URCCU3." You think it... snickers? "QXF 4A3 (you) WXC M3JM?"
"...better than you, you bitchless creepy ass plant." You mutter back, grimacing.
"FQ4C?"
"..." You just stand up and back away from the plant.
"(Y0u) BLJANM? P0XM. K3 BLJA3M." The plant tells you, "L4WC FJ1C CX F4CLQ (y0u) MR3. XA L0V3 C0 (me) BX 1 L4W T1UU (you)."
You just flip it off and run for dear life, ignoring the plant's cackles as you go.
Great, sentient plants. What's next? Headless horseman clone?
As you slow down, shaking and wheezing as you cower in an abandoned bathroom, you flinch as you hear a voice. A different and unfamilar voice.
"yvccf."
You look around, and notice something... glowing in the stalls. Something yellow.
You look around frantically and see a crowbar laying on the floor. You immediately grab it, and hold it in front of you with shaking hands as you approach the stall. You shove it open and look around, holding the crowbar above you as you're ready to swing it and...
...
You don't see anything directly in front of you...
"cffb ufne."
You flinch at the voice again and look all around, looking down and seeing the source of the yellow glow. It's a blue jack-o-lantern emitting a yellow glow, with black antlers, that seem to curl into each other like thorn vines, sticking out of it.
Then it talks.
"yvccf."
You scream and drop the crowbar.
--☆☆☆--
Somehow, despite the language barrier, you were convinced to carry around the pumpkin.
You aren't sure how. It's just when you picked up the crowbar and tried to run the pumpkin started talking loudly and quickly until you picked it up and it calmed down.
And now, you're taking it some place as it sort of teaches you the language.
"(Left)." It instructs you, and you go that way, "(forward)."
You now know "left", "right", "forward", "go back", and "no" in this language due to the instructions you kept getting. You just hoped wherever you were going wasn't a death trap.
...at least you still had the crowbar with you.
As you approached a hallway with a blank front door at the end of it, you hesitated as the pumpkin instructed you to go forward.
In the end though, you go forward and open the door with shaky hands, and you hold your breath.
The room you walk into almost bears a resemblance to a living room, with furniture that looked like it used to be display, and a table littered with...
...
Bones. And a headless, giant, robed body sat nearby.
You freeze as the body stands up suddenly, white arms outstretched towards you as you shove the pumpkin into its hands and back up, fumbling with the door in a panic.
"kyreb pfl, bzeu jkirexvi." The pumpkin tells you as it is placed upon the stump of the body's neck. It uses a hand to hold the pumpkin in place as it walks across the room.
A lump on the couch moves, and a large, humanoid shape sits up. Losely draped on its body is a black cloak of sorts, and you see dozens of yellow and white wings sticking out of its body. Its skin is feathery and yellow, and there's messy brown hair on its head.
It turns to look at you, and you don't see its eyes. But it seems to smile as it lets out a laugh-like sound.
"yr! nyf kyzj tlkv jkirexvi?" It says, and it sits up as it seems to stare at you.
You hate how sweaty your palms are as you try to open the door, too scared to turn your back out of fear one of them will attack.
"ufek befn. kyvp yvcg (me)." The pumpkin man says (you're just gonna call him Mr. Pumpkin), and you see him now holding what looks like a needle. "z evvu yvcg kyivruzex evvucv."
"z xfk zk." A new voice says, as another door in this room opens and...
...that monster wearing the hard hat walks in.
It freezes when it notices you, and you two stare with locked eyes (ignoring his lack of eyes) for too long.
You manage to open the door and stumble out.
"nrzk!" The winged one suddenly says, and quickly gets up. Before you know it, you're picked up and carried back into the room by the winged man. "nyp (you) ileezex? pfliv xfeer xvk vrkve flk kyviv."
You quake as the winged man looks at the one in the hard hat, who's helping Mr. Pumpkin stitch the pumpkin on. "nyrk uzu (you) uf kf jtriv kyvd jf sru?"
The one in the hard hat hums, before speaking. "z jrn kyvd svyzeu (window). z kizvu kf xirs kyvd kf drbv jliv kyvp uzuek uzv, jf z sifbv kyv nzeufn. kyvp jtivrdvu reu ire. kyvp jtriv vrjp."
You squirm as you're unceremoniously dumped on the couch, and the winged man (you're calling him Mr. Bird since he looks like a weird bird) looms over you, smiling as it sounds weirdly cheerful. "ufek sv jtrivu, tlkv! ef fev nzcc vrk (you). (You) jrwv."
Tears drip out of your eyes as Mr. Bird pets you on the head. "grk, grk. ef tipzex, (you) jrwv."
Why does this keep happening to you..?

Yeah, i learned this especially in customer service. And... idk probably also trying to survive conversations with family and family friends growing up. I dont remember how I learned it I just know that i developed it as a survival tactic that I always come out a little winded with. Mimicry, testing boundaries, observing social conventions and hoping you're doing it right because people will look at you if you don't and it doesnt feel good. It feels strange everytime, but it's a survival tactic that works. Then you can go home and just........... not do it and yay! No more pretending not to be a whole neurotypical who's absolutely normal and just a little excited when someone brings up a special interest! No more secret panic attacks and apologies for flubbing the script!
Oh no, people are touching your shoulder and calling you sweetheart... ....... A job well done???
I'm trying to figure out a good way to say "you really should actually learn the basics of small talk" with sounding like I'm biased against autistic people.

♥ Abby / Abs SFW and NSFW headcanons
A/n: I have Kpop demon hunters brainrot and I just needed to write something. Still not 100% sure how to write the Saja boys, so I decided to start with the one where I have a bit more of a grasp of how I would like his character to be. Headcanons are split into SFW and NSFW — SFW is first, then NSFW is labeled below, Hope you guys enjoy <3
He knows he’s hot. Abby doesn’t just think people are looking, he knows it. Shirt slightly unbuttoned, sweeping his hair effortlessly out of his face, always posing a little when he walks past reflective surfaces.
But when you compliment him? He still gets a tiny bit bashful, like “Yeah? You like this look?” with a smug little grin and ears just slightly pink.
Flirts with you like it’s just in his blood. Constantly teasing you but like in a playful way. “You just gonna keep staring at me, or are you gonna kiss me already?”
He makes you laugh and swoon the worst combo because now you’re blushing and giggling at the same time.
Surprisingly domestic. He likes doing “normal” couple things like grocery shopping together, picking out snacks for movie night, and agruing with you (lightheartitly obviously) about which love interest in a movie is the better one
So clingy but in the most endearing way.
You try to get up to grab something, and he just tugs you back into his lap. “Nope. You live here now.” You roll your eyes, but he’s warm and you almost always end up staying.
Always touching you. He has zero sense of personal space when it comes to you, hand holding when walking, arm around your shoulders, hand on your thigh while watching TV.
If you’re near, he’s touching. Period.
Will literally hype you up in public. You show up to an event or just walk into a room looking cute, and he’s so loud about it. “Damn, who let you out looking like that?” wolf whistle fully knowing people are watching.
He’s proud, and he wants everyone to know he’s yours and you're his.
Sleepy snuggler. Once he’s horizontal, he’s immediately draping himself over you like a weighted blanket.
“You’re so warm,” he mumbles, face buried in your neck. He always falls asleep faster when you're there says your presence is “soothing for him”
Cooks only one thing well but insists on making it constantly. It’s something like spicy ramen or grilled cheese and he’ll go, “Trust me, I’m a chef.” Even if it tastes bad how could you ever say no to him.
NSFW
Size kink? Oh absolutely.
Abby is so smug about how easily he can pick you up, manhandle you, carry you around like it’s nothing. He’ll tease you about it constantly “Look at you, so small and squishy. I could ruin you, y'know.
“Is this okay?” always. He may be cocky, but he never forgets to check in. And somehow hearing “You good, babe?” in his deep, slightly growly voice while he’s already got you breathless? Instant fluster.
Loves when you take control. Acts like he’s the one in charge but goes feral when you push him down and ride him instead.
He’ll grip your hips, panting, all “You’re killin’ me, sweetheart,” while secretly loving every second of it.
Lowkey possessive, but in a sexy way. Marks you up just enough to be visible, loves when you wear his beanie or show up to a concert wearing his oversized hoodie. “You’re mine. Let everyone see.”
Aftercare king. No matter how hot things get, he’s doting af afterward. Carries you to the bath, lets you wear one of his tank tops (he’s obsessed seeing you like this), and spoons you so close like he’s afraid you’ll disappear.
Constantly murmurs stuff like “You’re everything to me, y'know that?” into your skin while tracing little circles on your back.

One of the harder parts of staying with the pack was times like this, during the day when members are out at work or living life. Of course, you were never alone, the omegas don’t have jobs though they do go out as they please, and the rest of the pack has purposely arranged their schedules so that at least one pack member above an omega is home with you guys at any given time. It’s a nice setup, you'll admit, but you feel useless. To be fair you never went out much when you lived with your old alpha but you were always cooking and cleaning to please him, you were never not busy. So that’s how you got here. Trying so hard to be useful you decided to clean up a bit instead you just made a bigger mess. You were moving on from putting the dishes in the dishwasher to cleaning the countertops when you got a whiff of the cleaning solution smell and immediately you felt the familiar sickness feeling, If you were a cartoon character you would physically be green right now. Now that you’re out of the first trimester the morning sickness should have subsided, and to be fair it wasn’t as bad as it was in the beginning but it was definitely still making itself comfortable in your life. At your last appointment, you asked the doctor about it and she said this was probably something to do with your already above-average sense of smell for an omega. At the same time, you could still get sick randomly due to your changing body, and smells would be your biggest enemy. But it was normal and that’s all that mattered to you anyway, though right now you kind of wish it wasn’t. The strong smell of vinegar and lemon is the perfect combination to kick your sickness into overdrive. Before you could even gag or process the situation you’d already thrown up all over yourself. With closed eyes you could feel your body begin to tremble, a familiar vibrating feeling that could only be accompanied by a panic attack. You couldn’t even bring yourself to sob, too afraid to make yourself any more noticeable, your body lets out soft whimpers from your quivering lip instead. Before you can even think of how to make your escape to the bathroom to clean yourself up you have to clean up the mess you made on the floor first. It's not a lot but it would be easier to clean up if the cleaning solution wasn’t making you gag even more. You don’t hear Changbin come down the stairs and enter the kitchen through the ringing in your ears.
“Y/N? I heard your whimpering and ran down here. What happ-“ Changbin cuts himself off at the sight of you all on the floor covered in your own vomit.
“It’s fine! I’m almost done cleaning it up, don't worry, I’m sorry I was just trying to help. fuck! Why can’t I help?” Your rambling is halted by a gentle hand on your shoulder.
“It’s okay bunny. Just breathe.” As you look into his eyes you feel a sense of peace, like a gentle reminder that yes you can breathe, it’s okay.
“Good, now let me.” With one fell swoop, he picks you up bridal style and begins to walk away from the kitchen.
“Changbin, what the hell are you doing? I said I could handle it.”
“I know you could, but as your alpha, I can’t let you. Like I was saying before you rudely interrupted me, let’s get you cleaned up!”
Changbin carries you all the way to the upstairs bathroom and places you down on the toilet seat and turns around to head out of the bathroom.
“I’ll get you some clothes and then you can shower!” Changbin leaves but not before giving you one of his signature cutesy smiles that almost makes you sick from how sweet it is. The alphas here confused you, hell the whole pack confused you, but Changbin especially makes your head spin. His personality was very cute and sweet which is an insane juxtaposition to his buff frame. He easily has the biggest muscles you’d ever seen, it was kind of comforting when it wasn’t scary. Changbin returns and places the clothes on the counter.
“I grabbed you some comfy warmer clothes, thought maybe it’d help soothe you.” Changbin seems unsure, you’d think this was his first time caring for an omega.
“Thank you.” and with a nod the alpha leaves you to take your shower. The water feels like it does more than just wash away your sickness but it feels like your emotions are physically leaking from your body. You watch the water run down your small bump, placing a gentle hand there as unease settles deep in your bones. If you can’t do something as simple as clean up what’s the point? How can you take care of a whole life?
You step out of the shower with a shiver, trying to get dried off and dressed as quickly as possible. As you put on the clothes Changbin picked out for you, the last item stops you in your tracks. A hoodie, but not just any hoodie, it’s his. The smell of firewood penetrates your nose and your pupils dilate. Without a word, you put on his hoodie to allow the smell to engulf you, just like it’s supposed to. Leaving the bathroom you’re greeted by the muscular alpha who now has a shocked expression. He waited for you. And god is he glad he did. The sight of you in his hoodie, covered in his scent makes him dizzy. So he waits no time to pull you back into the bathroom with him, standing behind you as you both stand in front of the mirror. Wordlessly he picks up the hairbrush and begins brushing your hair, It feels domestic, but you don’t run.
“This is your hoodie.” You speak, not really knowing if it’s a question or a statement.
“Felix told us about how alpha scents really help with your nausea, you didn’t have to wear it, I just wanted to help.” He smiles almost as softly as he brushes through your hair. You don’t miss how he brushes his nose across the top of your head, taking in your milky cherry scent.
Changbin’s heart swells with pride as his alpha howls in his head at the display in front of him. A pupped omega wearing his scented hoodie allowing him to groom you, His pupped omega, he internally corrects himself. He leads you down to the living room and he stops you from going into the kitchen.
“Don’t worry, I got it all cleaned up. Let’s relax now.” The alpha takes your hand leading you to the large couch letting you pick your spot before he sits next to you.
“Do you want to talk about what’s wrong, why you were cleaning up even though it was making you sick?” Your eyebrows furrow, and embarrassment floods your body once again.
“I feel useless and lazy. I don’t do anything, I don’t clean, I don’t cook, I don’t work, even though these are all things I can do with no issue. I don’t even go outside now, I’m becoming a slob.” Changbin’s heart breaks at your words, but understanding you just want some independence, some of your normal back.
“We can go out today. Could be like a more casual courting date or not, whatever you’d like.”
“I appreciate your offer but I don’t need your pity.” The alpha scoffs and your assumption of him.
“I don’t pity you, I care about you. And I want to hang out with you. Hyunjin can stay here with Han and Felix while we go out, it’ll be fun. No pressure.” Changbin gives you a hopeful smile, if he looks closely he feels like he can see a small crack forming in your wall.
“Okay, where would we go?” You don’t look at the alpha, afraid maybe he’d change his mind.
“We can go do some grocery shopping, you can help me!” Changbin emphasized the word help, as to soothe your worries.
“Really? I could help you pick out food for the pack?” You look up at Changbin with wide hopeful eyes, and his heart almost explodes.
“Yeah, we can go right now! Get your shoes on and I’ll go let the guys know we’re leaving.” He smiles before he retreats to the pack den where the pack members reside. You sit with your thoughts for a moment before releasing a contented sigh. Maybe things were looking up.
At the grocery store, Changbin pushed the cart with one hand and had the pack’s grocery list pulled up on his phone in the other. The list was split into sections, one for each pack member’s personal requests and a section for stuff for the whole house. You had a nice rhythm going on, where he guides you both through the store and tells you what to put in the cart. Though he can’t help but notice you don’t seem to be interested in grabbing anything for yourself, and they haven’t had a chance to add a you section to the grocery list quite yet. As you two made your way down a snack aisle he took notice of how you stopped in front of the milk drinks.
“I think I saw something about some sort of juice on Han’s list. What was it?” In all honesty, you don’t remember if anyone mentioned juice, you can’t think at all your mouth is watering at the sight of the banana milk. You recently started developing cravings, which weren’t weird, yet. Your mind was so used to not wanting things, you didn’t find yourself craving anything until you saw it. Sort of like love at first sight but with various cookies, rice cakes… and banana milk, as your brain had so kindly decided now. This wasn’t odd for you, you’d always liked banana milk but this was different. You didn’t want it, you needed it. This grocery trip was for them, you wouldn’t dare make this about yourself. And that’s where a gentle alpha’s encouragement comes in.
“Oh I love banana milk, should we get some?” You both share a knowing glance, though Changbin’s has an encouraging undertone.
“Maybe, maybe two packs would be good. Since there are so many of us.” The alpha is satisfied with your response, nodding at you to throw two packs into the cart. Though Changbin wouldn’t dare let the pack take your cravings from you, he’d be sure to let them know not to touch them later.
“Is there anything else the puppy wants?” Changbin takes your peaceful sigh as an invitation to be just a little more direct, trying to get you comfortable with his care.
“Seaweed chips sound really yummy… and those matcha cookies Hyunjin likes.” You blush, not used to giving in to your own desires. Changbin doesn’t care though, he wastes no time finding the snacks you want. As you continue your shopping trip the alpha does a lot more of that, encouraging you to get stuff for yourself too, showing you that you deserve treats just like the pack does if not more since you’re carrying a pup as well.
The walk to the car feels bright, and internally you acknowledge the progress you made in the store, it feels nice. Changbin insists he be the one to load the bags in the car but you don’t get in the car, you wait patiently in case he changes his mind.
The smell hits you first, like a bullet train traveling faster than sound itself. You grab onto Changbin’s arm, your scent is rancid like spoiled milk, full of panic.
“What’s wrong?” Now Changbin’s scent is burnt, afraid that somehow you got hurt on his watch. Before you can tell Changbin how urgently you need to leave the voice hits your ears and you’re shocked you don’t pass out in pure fear, you remain frozen, which somehow feels worse.
“Would you look at this, surprised I found you slut?” The slurred voice from the alpha a mere five feet away from him and his babies causes Changbin to let out a growl.
“Who the hell are you?” You want to scream at Changbin to not say anything to just get you both in the car and run but you can’t, you scream but nothing comes out. Once again trapped in your own mind prison.
“I should be asking you the same, you’re playing around with my sloppy seconds.” It clicks immediately for Changbin, this is the man who hurt you, who kicked you out on the streets pregnant and alone. The next growl he lets out is nastier, more venomous.
“Come on Y/N, you think you can run away and wear another’s alpha’s clothes and expect me not to find you? You’re carrying my seed, not his. I always knew you were a whore, but you were my whore.” If your blood wasn’t cold before, it definitely was now. Everything in you screamed to run but you remained still. Your mind feels like a slurry of nasty thoughts, like you were right back in his grip, like you’d never be safe from him.
“I suggest you leave before I rip your throat out with my teeth.” Changbin keeps one arm behind him, within each of you, keeping you both safe from this monster. The way his hand is inches away from your stomach makes you hyper aware of the pup growing inside it.
Alphas hurt pups. Our pup is in danger. Do something.
Your omega screams in your head but you don’t move, useless as always.
“Pfft her hole’s not even that good. She’s used goods pal.” The arrogant alpha slurs and it lights a fire within Changbin, nobody speaks about the people he loves like that. He lunges at the alpha determined to make those words his last, he punches him so hard that you can hear a loud crack. The alpha falls to the ground, unconscious. Changbin immediately ushers you into the car and drives away from the scene. You don’t speak, you don’t cry, you’ve completely disassociated. Staring in front of you out the windshield you think about how you got here. A lot of your first week with this pack was spent scared he would find you, but things were getting better, you had almost forgotten this was even possible. Changbin tries to comfort you the entire ride home but it’s like you’ve left your own body. His alpha cries for him to do something, to help his omega but nothing works.
When he pulls into the garage at home you immediately bolt out of the car and head straight to your room. At the sound of the door slamming and locking, everyone knew this was going to be a hurdle. But they were all willing to fight for you… literally in some cases.
