The tech bro inside me that makes fun of people who don't know how Ai works and the 2000s teen movie popular girl in me who passive aggressively makes fun of everyone balance out perfectly into someone who cannot watch most movies

ok reverse the TROPE !!!!!! sugar-mommy!f!reader x retired!simon <333 (18+)
he got discharged on a medical injury. his knee flares up now, phantom pains that shoot up his leg and pinch his spine. he feels like a failure--a lieutenant in his prime, and now he has to acclimate to civilian life and grit his teeth instead of drown the voices in his head out with gunfire.
he's been deployed as much as he could be just to stay away from this kind of place. so he didn't have to get on a train, or take the tube. so he didn't have to think about looking over his shoulder in the shops or learn how to pay a wifi bill. he hates going to the doctor's office, and he hates learning how to properly open his bank account, just to learn that there's nearly nothing in it.
the numbers just dwindle before his very eyes. the rent is too high, even in his shitty studio. when did cable cost that much? why can't he go to the pub for just a few pounds anymore? where is the compensation for giving more than a decade of his life in service of his country just to have to wait in fucking lines to get his medication and argue over the phone about where all his fucking money went.
maybe he never had any. maybe it's all lost somewhere. he'd ask his former captain, but he's halfway across the world, and over his dead body would he hold a hand out and ask for charity when he's 36 years old.
"don't get that one."
simon turns his head, a snarl caught in his throat. there's a pretty thing standing beside him, also staring at the array of ramen packages in focus. you take the orange package out of his hand and put it back on the shelf before reaching for a different package. it's got japanese characters on it, so he can't read the label, but you smile up at him.
"this one is way better. good price for it, too."
"'s more expensive."
"yeah, but you get eight packets in this one. that one only gives you five."
at the till, you notice him subtly counting the notes in his wallet. you pretend not to notice, rocking back and forth on your heels, but just as he picks up his bag to leave, you speak up.
"you wanna get a drink? on me."
and fuck, he could use a bourbon. on the first one, he thought your presence was pleasantly tolerable. by the fourth, he's staring down your shirt, dark eyes mapping out what the curves of your breasts might look like in the palm of his big hand. by the sixth, you're pressed up against a sticky bathroom wall and holding on for dear life as he pounds into you from behind, knickers in his back pocket, manicured nails digging slits into his tattooed forearm.
you sink those claws in that night; and you do not let go.
the third night you ask him out, he sees your flat for the first time. in a nice building downtown, doorman holding the door open for you. the elevator ride is long enough for him to see the tops of buildings, and when you step inside your flat, he swallows hard when he realizes you are way out of his league.
gorgeous leather seats and couch. large tv with surround sound. a french kitchen with a gas stove. your flat is filled with knickknacks and candles, low yellow lights and wonderful collections of art and little glass vases and sculptures. your home is filled with warmth, and you don't belong with him.
just as he thinks about backing out of the place, you turn and grip the lapels of his jacket, tugging him closer. you touch your nose to his over his mask, smiling, and you push the door closed behind him and press him up against it.
"so, which room do you wanna christen first? i thought we could start in the kitchen."
you're a woman that knows what she wants, he'll give you that; and he doesn't have it in him to say no.
the sun wakes him up in the morning. he doesn't remember falling asleep--he doesn't like to make staying over a habit. when he sits up on his elbows, he takes a deep breath, realizing his back hurts a lot less. the mattress of your bed is wonderful, much more supportive than the flat mess he has on the floor in his own place, and he blinks himself awake when you come out of the bathroom.
you're freshly dressed, makeup on, and you're putting on your jewelry when you see him. you smile at him, coming towards the bed, and you bend down to kiss where his mouth would be under the mask.
"good morning, simon. sleep well?"
"mmm..."
you take that as a yes, cupping his jaw, and you kiss him over his mask again before going to get some shoes from your closet. he doesn't comment on the fact that when you open it, he realizes the closet there is only for shoes...
"you hungry, baby? want some breakfast?"
"i--oh..." simon lays back down when his back tweaks, and you reach for him when you see him fall back in the mirror. you smooth a hand down the side of his body, frowning.
"why don't you stay in bed? i'll have my assistant bring you something."
"no, tha's--"
"i'm not asking, simon, i'm telling you," you coo. you pick up one of his hands and trace one of his scars with your finger. you have long, almond-shaped nails. there's pretty chrome nail art over the wine red color you wear, and he focuses on it as you kiss his knuckles gently. "will you wait for me to come home?"
"where y'goin'?"
"gotta work, honey," you wink down at him. "and i want you to be here when i get back."
"tha' so?"
"mhm," you smile. "right here. in my bed--" you lift the covers a little and peek, giggling as you put it back down after getting a glimpse at his cock resting against his lower stomach. "just like this, simon."
he doesn't remember if he ever goes back to his flat. he thinks he went one more time, to grab a few bottles of his medication, but the tick in his knee hadn't been so bad with the great physical therapy you started paying for and the warm massages you gave him every night.
and his back--your bed always contours perfectly against the muscles of his back, and he finds himself sleeping a full seven hours every single night.
not to mention his new work outs. simon hadn't been to the gym much since coming home, but he knows he must be burning hundreds of calories with you. you test his limits. as soon as you're home, you jump on him, and the stress relief your pussy brings him is just what he needs to get the edge off. you're a fiend, especially after a rough day, and the way you bounce on his cock in every room of your flat keeps him up at night sometimes with the most glorious wet dreams.
you're up late that night. you're curled up on the couch in one of simon's shirts and a glass of red wine, and there's a mountain of papers around you that you're focusing on reading. you have a huge presentation tomorrow, and everything needs to be perfect. simon comes into the living room, shirtless, and you smile when you see him standing there. he's wearing the new sweats you got him, but you can't focus on that too much when you're staring at his pudgy, toned stomach and his nice pecs. you bite your lip, taking a long sip of your wine, and simon hikes up his mask to take a bite out of his bowl of ice cream.
"gonna be up late tonight?" he asks, and you nod. "want me to sit with ya?" you nod again, lifting up your legs, and when he takes a seat next to you, you drape them across his lap. you lean over to give his scarred cheek a kiss, and when you turn back to your paperwork, a thought comes across your mind.
"we should get married," you say softly, circling a note over something. simon keeps eating, as if what you said doesn't phase him.
"why's tha', love?"
"tax benefits."
"mmm..." simon drops one of his hands and thumbs against your ankle. the flat is warm. his stomach is full. his body hurts less, and his heart aches with something nice. "olright then."
you smile.
"good. cause i already bought the ring."

posting here because this just doesn’t feel right to talk about in the horseimagebarn voice but this is extremely important to talk about.
Tumblr media
my partner and i have returned to our hometown to stay with her family and my own has gotten a hotel here too (they moved to the town we currently live in after we did) so we are all safe and out of the thick of it
however there are tens of thousands of people who are not both in my own town and in the many surrounding it. appalachia will take an extremely long time to recover from this and there are more storms on the way. all i see on social media right now is people asking for shelter because their homes have been destroyed, or people asking for help searching for family members who are missing. hundreds of trees have fallen. hundreds of homes have flooded. roads are literally falling apart. preexisting sinkholes due to shitty pipes are opening up and consuming land. dams are on the verge of bursting and the only way to stop it is to release water so quickly it floods whole towns. all but one of our cell towers are down, so only people with at&t have service and the rest can’t contact anyone. over half the town still doesn’t have power. a major water supply issue occurred and the entire town is on a water boil order with no electricity to boil with. people are trapped in their homes and workplaces or out on the street because they have nowhere to go. law enforcement is blocking off roads but trapping people in the process. people have to be rescued by helicopter. our animal shelter has no water or power and boarding facilities have been flooded. entire villages like chimney rock nc are gone, and entire cities like asheville are cut off from the rest of the state and are completely inaccessible. ALL OF THE ROADS IN WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA ARE CLOSED. 400+ roads are closed because they are unsafe . that is INSANE!!!
Tumblr media
when people say that climate change isn’t real, they don’t know what they’re talking about. climate change and its father capitalism are only going to continue to worsen lives in every way possible. i live in the mountains and our infrastructure is completely unprepared to handle hurricanes and it’s only going to get worse. it’s such a strange and eye-opening experience to live something like this when you think that it could never happen to you because that type of weather shouldn’t reach you in your environment. climate change doesn’t care where you live. it’s real.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
western north carolina and the rest of the southeast that has been hit by helene need help. more people need to be talking about this so that the government DOES SOMETHING because the government historically fucking hates appalachia and it still does!!! the major state institution near me took DAYS to respond despite being the only place in town with power and wifi connection because they had to wait for the state to approve their response—they could have allowed thousands of people to evacuate days prior to the hurricane hitting us but they didn’t do anything before or after until it was too late!!! it’s bullshit!!! PLEASE get talking about this because something has to be done. climate change is going to continue happening and our mountains and the people in them are going to suffer immensely. hundreds if not thousands are now homeless. please talk about this look at the footage online of the wreckage and look how quickly our infrastructure crumbled. we need better. the people of appalachia deserve better.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
i’ll get back to posting horses soon. but for now this is a lot. my friends are homeless and my family had to get off the mountain or be trapped there without power and water for days. we’re all safe but exhausted. i hope everyone who has been affected by this is staying safe. if you are in western nc, dm me. when i come back, if you’re in my area, im happy to bring supplies. stay safe everyone

always, forever
choso x reader
obsession is just another form of devotion. and no one is more devoted to you than choso is.
masterlist
wc: 6.8k
um. i apologize in advance. this version of choso is very special to me and so is this reader, which is why it took so long to finish. i love them!!
content: stalker!choso, obsession, toxicity, dark romance, power dynamics, yandere in many ways, unchecked limits but not dub/noncon, choking, slapping, biting, bruising, spitting, restraints, praise, ownership, unprotected p in v sex, oral (f! receiving), religious undertones, worship/devotion, subspace, u and choso are NOT normal about each other like at all
18+ please <3
Tumblr media
choso has always been good at paying attention.
people don’t expect that from him. he’s quiet, watchful, the kind of presence that blends into the background. most people assume it means he’s not listening, that his stare is vacant instead of calculating.
they don’t understand. he notices everything.
he notices when you use a new mascara. he notices how you reach for your phone when you hear a notification, even when it’s not yours. he notices the way your lips part before you laugh, how you tilt your head when you’re listening, the way your eyes linger on someone when you want them to stay.
he notices because it’s you. and you make it easy for him. you’re open, unaware.
it’s normal, the way he watches you.
he’s your friend. you trust him. you say his name when you see him.
morning, choso.
his chest tightens every time. it fits there, in your mouth, like it belongs to you.
would you still say it like that if you knew what it did to him?
your friendship is easy. you text him late at night when you can’t sleep. you pull him into conversation when he’s too quiet in a group. you lean against him when you’re tired, press your fingers to his wrist when you need his attention.
you let him in.
so it only makes sense that he knows you better than anyone.
he doesn’t think it’s strange that he watches you leave your apartment every morning. or that he walks the same route. or that he knows how long you’ll pause before crossing the street. this is part of his day, too.
he doesn’t think it’s odd that sometimes, he gets close enough to touch the loose thread on the back of your coat. or the nape of your neck.
once, you dropped your phone and bent over to pick it up. if you had turned around then, he would’ve been right there. standing too close.
but it’s not stalking. he’s not obsessed. he’s just making sure you’re okay.
+++
choso likes keeping things.
it started small. innocent.
a receipt left on the table after lunch. a pen you let him borrow. a candy wrapper, the foil crinkled between your fingers when you pressed it into his palm. he didn’t mean to keep them. he just…never let them go.
then, a bit more personal.
a cherry chapstick left in his car. an earring you thought you lost—he remembers watching it fall, small and shiny and delicate. a tissue, blotted with lipstick.
none of it was on purpose.
but you leave so many pieces of yourself behind. you’re careless, in a way that only makes sense to him. he had to start paying attention.
the things he keeps now are less accidental.
a bracelet you thought you lost. a nearly empty perfume bottle. strands of your hair, pulled from his hoodie after you borrowed it. a bloodstained tissue, from the time you cut your finger cooking for mutual friends.
your voice in his head hours after you’ve spoken. your fingerprints burning his skin like you meant to leave them there.
a photo of you sleeping. that one’s his favorite. a little secret, tucked between pages of a book. a moment you don’t remember, but he does. proof.
he knows things about you that you’ve never told him.
he knows your passwords. your wifi login. how much money is in your bank account.
he knows what you search for late at night, when your body is warm and restless. he knows what you watch twice, what you turn the volume up on, what you come back to later. sometimes, he watches with you.
at the bottom of his drawer, there’s a single zip tie. red and sturdy, waiting. it isn’t yours.
but it makes him think of you.
it’s not wrong. he’s just keeping you safe.
+++
afternoons are harder.
your lunch breaks are less predictable than your mornings, but even your unpredictability follows a rhythm. sometimes you run an errand. sometimes you meet a friend. others, you stop into a cafe, settle by the window, scroll through your phone between bites.
today, it’s the latter.
he leans against a brick wall across the street, observing you through the glass. you’re alone, stirring sugar into your drink, the sleeve of your sweater pulled over your hand.
then some guy slides into the seat across from you.
choso doesn’t recognize him. doesn’t care to.
the guy says something. you laugh and tilt your head, play with the edge of your napkin as you talk.
he’s seen you like this before—warm, engaged, giving. he knows it’s nothing. he knows that. but the sight still twists in his chest.
it’s not about fear. he doesn’t worry about losing you. that’s impossible.
it’s about keeping you.
about being on the receiving end of that smile. your attention, your laughter—they belong to him. no one else deserves them. they don’t know what to do with them anyway. they don’t hold them the right way, don’t understand how dangerous it is to waste them.
if he walked into the cafe right now, crossed the room, took your wrist—would you let him?
he imagines it. leaning close, lips brushing your ear. let’s go home.
your breath catching. your body tilting toward him on instinct. your little nod.
but he won’t do that. you have to come first.
he remembers the last guy. the one who texted too much, who made you laugh too easily. the one who stopped showing up.
he got the message. you didn’t even notice he was gone. but choso did. he noticed every second that passed before you stopped checking your phone, before you moved on like he never existed.
how long before this one needs a message, too?
his hands flex in his pockets. he takes a step forward. but he exhales, lets it go. he turns before the thought can take root, before the want takes shape and he can’t push it down.
he walks away, but the feeling doesn’t.
+++
when evening comes, choso’s right back where he belongs—watching your apartment from a distance, waiting for your windows to light up.
you should be here by now. he’s been standing here long enough for his body to register the cold. long enough for his pulse to slow.
he waits. this is easy to do when it’s for you. when he knows that, eventually, you’ll come home.
it’s fine.
maybe you stayed late at work. maybe you lost track of time. maybe you ran into someone.
it happens.
his fingers tap against his thigh once, then again. then again. a pattern, his body tracking the time even if he doesn’t mean to.
twenty minutes.
a car passes. the street lamp flickers.
his jaw tightens, but his breathing stays even. it’s not impatience. not paranoia. just an understanding of how things are supposed to be.
thirty minutes.
the cold bites at his knuckles. his fingers flex. the rhythm on his thigh picks up.
forty minutes.
his hand stutters.
something’s wrong.
he doesn’t decide it. he doesn’t even process it. the knowledge just settles, heavy and absolute. instinctive. like sensing a storm before the clouds roll in.
his hand slips into his pocket.
your key fits nicely between his fingers.
he crosses the street.
+++
your apartment smells exactly like you: floral, a little sweet, undeniably familiar.
he moves through your space, cataloging. your blanket on the couch, waiting for you. the unopened mail stacked neatly on the counter. a single glass in the sink. everything is where it should be.
but something’s wrong.
his eyes flick to your bookshelf. the order is off. books are misaligned, there are gaps where there shouldn’t be. choso’s not even sure you’ve touched these shelves before—they’re always perfectly neat, always the same.
his gaze dips lower. a box, tucked away. not well enough.
he hesitates.
then he crouches, pulling it out, fingers ghosting over the lid. he doesn’t know why he holds his breath as he lifts it.
the first things he sees make him smile, just a little. a matchbook from a bar you both went to. a concert wristband, still looped closed. he carried you on his shoulders that day. a pin he gave you once, the clasp slightly bent.
his hand skims over them. he’s always known you were sentimental, but seeing it like this—seeing himself in it—makes something in his chest loosen. he thinks you’re cute.
then, a polaroid. the two of you, smiling. a moment he remembers. he runs his fingers over your image.
underneath it, another. just him.
he stares for a second before setting them aside.
the hoodie string he thought got lost in the laundry, coiled in the corner. a cigarette butt, flattened at the tip. his brand.
when did you find out he smokes?
his hands move slower now, pulling each item from the box, laying them out beside him.
a receipt—his, not yours—crumpled, then smoothed back out. a lock of his hair, neatly tied with a ribbon. his scalp tingles like he can feel where it was taken.
more photos. him again, but he’s not posing this time. stepping off a curb. shopping for groceries. sleeping.
his heartbeat pounds in his throat.
his fingers graze a slip of paper, the ink faded but still legible.
choso is restless today. he doesn’t talk much, but his weight shifts when he gets impatient. his breathing changes when i touch him. he watches me more when he thinks i won’t notice. i always notice. i wonder if he knows how soft his voice goes when he says my name. i could listen forever.
his fingers press into his thighs, his breathing slows, his mind splintering at the edges.
it’s not the same as him. it’s not.
he reaches the last few items in the box.
a mirror, small enough to fit in his palm. his name in lipstick, smeared over the glass where a finger had brushed.
a knife. the one that should be at the back of his nightstand drawer.
the room presses in around him. his body stills. his thoughts feel slow, thick.
he’s missing something. he must be.
before he can decide what to do with it, the door unlocks.
choso stays frozen where he is. his breath pulls in his throat.
you step inside, closing the door behind you. your movements are easy. fluid. unbothered.
there’s no shock, no fear when you see him. no gasp or startled jolt. you don’t even hesitate.
you walk to the living room entrance and stop there.
and instead of asking why he’s in your apartment, looking through your things, you just look at him expectantly.
his fingers tingle.
you shouldn’t be this calm.
his gaze moves over you, searching for a flicker of guilt, a flash of panic—something.
but you’re steady. unblinking. he feels like prey.
is this a test?
the silence stretches, taut and thin, and something inside him bends with it. part of him already knows where this is going.
he should say something. ask something, demand an explanation. how did you get those pictures? his knife? his fucking hair?
but his breath is caught somewhere between inhale and exhale.
you tilt your head. the corners of your lips curl upwards.
and then, lightly, “you found it.” your voice is sweet, but underlined with a tone he’s never heard before.
his stomach clenches. his fingers tighten around the box.
“i left it there for you.”
his mind fumbles for an answer, a reason this isn’t what it looks like. but nothing comes.
it’s exactly what it looks like.
you left it there. for him.
he should be horrified. he should recoil. but the pieces fit too well. the truth clicks too easily.
you’re just as bad as he is.
realization winds through his ribs like smoke. relief follows soon after, dark and cool.
he places the box down beside the scattered items with an exhale. his arms are looser now, his muscles relaxing.
he understands.
he stands and takes a step forward. then another, tilting his head, voice low. “say it.”
amusement glints in your eyes, your lips parting slightly.
“you first.”
him first.
choso doesn’t move, neither do you.
but something shifts—pulls—like gravity bending around you. his hands flex at his sides, his jaw tightens against the weight of the moment.
then, finally, he reaches for you.
one hand cups your jaw, the rough pad of his thumb grazing over your cheek. the other slides down, curling around the delicate skin of your wrist. he presses your pulse, just enough to tell you he’s here.
he lifts your hand, turning it, bowing his head in quiet worship.
his lips brush the inside of your wrist, featherlight, careful.
warm breath fans over your skin, then his teeth, sending a tremor through you.
the scrape of enamel blurring into the glide of his tongue is overwhelming.
he feels the way your fingers twitch against his palm, hears the sharp inhale you try to bite down. his thumb rubs slow circles into your cheek.
he lifts his head, moves in, and then he’s kissing you.
it’s needy. built from tension too thick to hold any longer. heat and teeth and hands—one pressing your wrist behind your back, the other sliding to the base of your skull, pulling you close, closer.
you give it back to him—your free hand tangles into his hair, nails scraping. his hair ties come loose one by one, and you slip them down over your wrist. a quiet keepsake. for later.
the moment is raw and unsteady. his mouth explores, breathless against your jaw, then lower. his teeth scrape below your ear, testing, waiting for a reaction.
you press forward, not willing to stop this.
he exhales against you, then moves, walking you backward until the edge of your desk presses into your spine.
his belt slips from his waist in one motion. the leather slides over your skin, smooth as his hands work, looping, tightening, adjusting.
he pulls it snug, your wrists now pinned behind your back, the press of leather holding you in place.
he thinks of the zip tie in his drawer. red, uncut, waiting.
not tonight.
then he lifts his gaze, eyes searching.
“you could stop me.”
it’s a door cracked open for you. you could stop him. he’s telling the truth. if you pulled away right now, if you said no—he’d let you go. because taking was never the point.
but the thought of stopping him doesn’t even form properly.
how could you?
you don’t pull away. you don’t resist at all. instead, you tilt your chin up, watching him.
and then, a smile.
something inside him aligns, seamless and final. everything before this was waiting. his mind quiets. the constant restlessness, the gnawing hunger—gone.
you’re his. you always were.
he tightens his hold for just a second before taking a step back.
the sight of you, wrists bound, waiting for him—he just needs to see it. needs to convince himself it’s real, to prove that this isn’t just another fantasy unraveling in the dark. that he’s not imagining the way you’re looking at him right now.
he drags his gaze over you, memorizing. you look exactly how he imagined you would. better.
you shift, testing the belt. not to escape, just to feel it.
his eyes track the movement, feeling the pull of you. he exhales, slow and controlled, and moves back in.
his hands travel over you, pushing your shirt up, fingers pressing, tracing. his lips aren’t far behind. he takes his time, dragging heat and teeth and intention over you. marking you.
his fingers slide lower, brushing your inner thigh. he watches the flutter of your lashes, the pull of breath in your throat.
then softly, “i should keep you like this.”
a pause. his fingers move higher.
“tied up.”
a flick of his fingers through layers of clothing.
“waiting for me.”
how long would you last like this? how long before you’d beg?
the longer your wrists stay bound, the deeper the inevitability settles into you. you lean into it, let it take root.
he drags a thumb over the waistband of your pants. he undoes the button. lowers the zipper.
you don’t help him. you can’t—and that’s the point.
his fingers press into your hips as he works the fabric down. your panties follow. you watch as he stuffs them into his pocket and drops to his knees before you.
his hands settle against your thighs, and choso lets himself feel the gravity of this. it’s hypnotic, the way you open up for him, the way you let him take what’s his.
he’s craved this. dreamt of it. and now you’re here. bound, vulnerable. every version of this moment was different—except for one thing. you always looked at him like this.
he half-expects to wake up still standing across the street, waiting for the glow of your windows.
but this isn’t a dream.
he dips down, pressing an open-mouthed kiss above your knee. then another, and another.
you want to touch him. to twist your fingers in his hair, to pull him closer, to feel his shoulders flex under your hands.
he takes his time. works his way up, teeth scraping, tongue flicking against sensitive skin. he closes his eyes as he breathes you in, but he doesn’t give you anything.
a sharp nip to the crease of your thigh. a lazy drag of his tongue there. he kisses right above your clit—so close, so fucking close, but not enough.
you whine. you need him.
he smirks. “you open up for me so easily.”
his tongue presses flat against you, slow at first, moving through the heat of you. you let out your first unrestricted moan.
then deeper. more.
he groans into you. “shit—” he drags his tongue through your slick again, his mouth starting to water. he savors your taste, taking his time, patient and thorough.
his mouth covers you completely, sucking, dragging you higher, working you open. you’re moving, pressing closer, needing more. the slow build makes you dizzy.
but just when your breath stutters and your thighs start to shake, he pulls away.
your head jerks, a whimper slipping out, raw need spilling over.
but he just slides his fingers through your opening, coating them, spreading it.
“you shouldn’t let me do this,” he says, but he’s already lifting his fingers to your face. his lips curve. “but you’d let me do anything, wouldn’t you?”
when you take his fingers into your mouth without hesitation, fire surges in his chest.
his pupils blow wide, his breath catches. he pulls his fingers out, spreading them over your lips, your jaw, rubbing wetness in, watching it shine under the dim light.
“so fucking pretty like this.”
he buries his face back between your thighs with a moan. his tongue moves rougher now, making up for all the time he’s spent wanting and waiting.
you can’t move, can’t do anything but sit there and let him have you.
the pleasure builds too fast, too sharp, and you realize—he’s dragging you over the edge whether you’re ready or not.
his hands, his mouth, his breath—you swear you can feel him everywhere. on your skin, under it. in your cells, unraveling you from the inside out.
he keeps you spread open, his tongue fucking into you until you break.
you come undone, sharp and shattering, your body arching and your vision flickering. he growls against you, greedy, drinking in every sound you make and every drop of your release.
you tremble, breath coming in jagged, desperate pulls, aftershocks rolling through you.
he doesn’t stop until he’s done. until he’s sure he’s tasted everything you have to give. only then does he pull back, breathless, flushed, his face slick with you.
his hands don’t leave you. one stays firm on your thigh while the other drags up your body—slow, possessive, tracing the marks he’s already left behind.
his lips follow the same path. butterfly kisses at first, soft and fleeting. a press of his mouth to your hip, your stomach, your ribs, his breath warming your skin.
by the time he reaches your chest, he’s standing again, crowding you. his mouth teases each of your nipples, then moves up to your collarbone, your throat, then your lips—deep and heady, like he’s sealing something in place.
you taste yourself. it should be filthy, humiliating. but the way he does it, the way he runs his tongue against yours with so much care, like it’s meant to be this way—you shudder, melting into it.
his hands move behind you. he unfastens the belt, unwinding it with slow precision. your arms drop, the tension leaving so suddenly that a tremor runs through them. before you can move, he catches your wrists, holding them gently.
“you okay?” his thumbs smooth over the tender marks.
you nod and smile, just slightly, but it’s enough. he takes in the gesture, tucks it into the little box in his mind reserved for you.
his grip on you changes—firmer, more intent. the next kiss is messy, the way he presses into you, the solid weight of him between your thighs.
you feel him, hard and thick, putting pressure on your core through his jeans. he rolls his hips once, and the friction pulls a moan out of you.
your fingers twist into his hair, pulling so tight it must burn, but he keeps moving against you. he whispers your name, a quiet, broken sound.
does he even hear himself? does he know how much weight it carries, how needy he sounds when he says it? what it does to you?
you push.
your teeth catch his lower lip, biting down hard. enough to hurt, enough to bleed. you drag your tongue over it, tasting him, wanting to thank him for giving this to you.
he moans, growing desperate and grinding into you again, gripping your thighs, holding himself back. “you make me insane.”
before you can answer, he moves.
he lifts you effortlessly, walking you through your apartment like he’s lived here forever. his mouth is everywhere—kissing, biting, tasting—as he presses you against a wall, a doorframe, and finally the bed.
he sets you down. his hands move to his shirt, pulling it over his head in one motion, muscles shifting under his skin. his pants follow, and then he’s back, sitting and reaching for you, drawing you into his lap and guiding your legs around him.
he moves one hand down to run his length through your slick, wetting himself up before easing you down onto him.
he’s thick, almost too much to take, and you whimper softly as his fingers slide up your sides, grounding you.
“you’re okay,” he coos. “you’re doing so well, pretty girl.”
he doesn’t rush you, doesn’t move at all to speed the process. he just watches you, takes you in, drags his hands over your skin like he finally has what he wanted.
his arms wrap around you when you eventually sink all the way down. he wastes no time rolling his hips, feeling you, reveling in the way you whimper at the stretch.
the position is deep, intimate, almost tender. but the way he holds you, the way he grips and takes and owns as he drags you down and snaps his hips up to meet you—there’s nothing soft about it.
you pull back enough to look at him, really look, and it makes your stomach churn.
he belongs to you. you love him. you love him too much. more than is reasonable, more than is safe.
you want him to know what this feels like—the unbearable ache, the madness, the constant need that grips you so hard you don’t know what to do with it.
before you even realize what you’re doing, your palm cracks against his face.
his head jerks to the side, his jaw tightening as something dark flickers in his eyes.
he stares, breath measured, holding something in his throat. the red on his cheek spreads like watercolor, stark against the black ink on his skin. a smile tilts at his lips.
”again.”
so you do it again.
his hand slides to the back of your neck as he lets out a breathless laugh, his other arm locking tighter around your waist, forcing you up and down, over and over again.
he’s fucking lost in it. in you, in this, in the way you give and take and ruin.
your body is stretched open, raw and aching, so fucking full, drunk on the way he claims you, the way he needs you.
then, lower, slurred against your skin, “please—baby, spit in my mouth.” half-lidded eyes lift to yours, and you realize he’s not just asking. he’s offering himself up.
you’re pulling his head back by his hair before he’s even done speaking.
his lips part, tongue barely peeking out, ready and waiting.
you let it drip into his mouth, and he groans like you’ve blessed him as he drags you into another desperate kiss.
it’s not enough. it’s never fucking enough. you need more.
“tell me you love me.”
it tumbles out, raw and unguarded. you both know it’s not a request—it’s a demand. a life sentence. a tether neither of you will be able to break.
his answer is instant. “i love you.” it lands like a vow, like a promise. like knowledge he was born with.
it floors you. tears brim in your eyes, and before you even process what he’s just given you—“i love you, choso.”
you love him. you love him. and that destroys him. his name belongs here, with you. always has.
his arms crush you, a vice around your body. like he could break you open and crawl inside, stay there forever. his thrusts turn brutal, desperate, unhinged, carving you into his shape.
he wants to say something, but nothing comes. just you, just this.
because the realization is too much.
because he never thought he’d hear this from you. never expected to be allowed to have this, to keep this.
because he’s been content just knowing you, quietly keeping you safe.
but this? this is something else entirely.
his grip tightens, almost desperate as his rhythm grows rough, erratic. your name spills from his lips like a prayer, over and over, his body going tight.
he moans freely against your skin, holding you flush to him as he buries himself deep, spilling into you. he’s locked around you, unyielding, trying to hold the moment in place, trying to stop time itself.
and it undoes you.
the warmth of him pressed into you, the way he swells inside you as he releases, the way he stays, like he belongs there—it sends you spiraling.
you tighten around him like a vice, gasping his name, sinking your teeth into his shoulder as your body locks up. your nails rake down his back, desperate, needing to mark him, keep him, to ruin him the way he’s ruined you.
his breath stutters, still drowning in his own pleasure, but he cradles your head, fucking you through it. “that’s it, pretty girl. let me feel it.”
and you do. you give him everything. every wave, every pulse, every broken sound as the feeling rolls through you. your body trembles in his arms, spent, oversensitive, but he just holds you, smoothing a hand down your spine, pressing slow, grounding kisses to your temple.
he pulls out of you, a slow retreat. the absence leaves you aching, still open for him, your combined juices leaking out.
time slows. your heart pounds against his. the heat between you lingers, warm and hazy. his fingers trace lazy patterns over your skin, letting you relax into him as you both come down.
once you’ve both settled, he lifts you off of him carefully, reluctant to let go. his hands guide you, breathing you in, smelling sweat and sex and something unmistakably yours.
his thumb drags down your back. he watches the way your body responds, still trembling, still open. he fits a pillow beneath your hips, shifting you into place.
he hovers, kissing you—over your shoulder, your spine, the side of your ribs, soft but weighted. his body follows, pressing you under him, where you belong.
“you’re not done yet.”
a shudder moves through you.
his lips press between your shoulder blades, lingering, exhaling before he pushes back into you.
the position lets him sink deeper than before. the stretch is slow, unrelenting, and you let out a low moan into the mattress.
his groan is rough, his voice wrecked. “you take me so fucking well.”
his pace builds—deep, ruthless. he’s everywhere, taking you apart, remaking you in his image.
you feel his teeth on your shoulder. his teeth on your neck. his tongue dragging fire over your skin.
you’re too sensitive. it’s too much. you reach back, trying to slow him down, but he’s faster. he grabs your wrists and pulls them behind you, dragging you upright into him like a puppet on strings.
your body bows into his. his breath is hot against your ear, his lips brushing over your jaw, your cheek, your throat.
his hands pull you down onto him again and again, pushing you beyond yourself.
fingers trace your collarbones, his thumb finding the soft dip in your throat before he wraps his hand around it. he doesn’t squeeze—not yet. but he feels the way you clench slightly around him.
“you like this?”
a whimper escapes you—not an answer, but enough of one. your hips rock back, body moving on instinct.
slowly, methodically, his fingers flex around your throat, measuring, testing.
then he closes his hand, cutting off everything but him.
your breath is gone.
everything stills. the world narrows—collapsing to the points where his hand meets your throat, where he’s buried inside you.
you clench around him hard as your limbs go weightless. a slow, creeping quiet drags you under, like slipping underwater.
you can feel your own pulse weakening under his hand. you can feel the numbness creeping up your spine, feel your eyes roll back, feel how completely you trust him to guide you.
he could kill you like this. is that what this is? a kind of offering? if he asked, would you give him even that? you both know the answer. he could demand your life right now, and you’d hand it over. just like he would if the roles were reversed.
he’s studying you, observing every reaction, watching you slip, mentally recording the sounds you make as you fight for air. his thumb strokes your jaw, coaxing you deeper.
and in the haze, you think:
he’s made you something sacred, something holy. a body to bow down to, a name to whisper between gasps. if this is devotion, you’ll kneel. if this is love, you’ll let it kill you.
everything is soft—your vision, your breath, your body. he’s siphoning the world away, tightening his hold even more. the floor drops out, and you’re falling, though you don’t know for how long or to where.
he lets go.
your body seizes as air floods your lungs, a shuddering inhale that rattles in your chest, half sob, half plea.
an orgasm overtakes you without warning or control, tearing a ragged cry from your throat. your vision flickers, your body spasms around him, but he doesn’t slow down.
“oh, fuck—” his voice is ruined. his hands keep you open for him as he fucks you straight through it. “keep fucking cumming for me, pretty girl.”
you try to squirm away, the pleasure making you hot, blinding you, too much.
“no—no, stay here,” he grits out. his palm spreads over your nape, forcing you down, shoving your face back into the mattress to take it.
he fucks you like a punishment, like a gift, dragging more sounds from your lips and tears from your eyes, letting you feel everything—every thick push, every deep stroke, every pulse of him inside you.
you were made for this. you were made for each other. shaped by each other’s hands, bound by each other’s will.
your body can’t decide if it’s too much or not enough, because somehow—somehow—you’re cumming again, clenching so hard around him he’s nearly forced out of you.
your body breaks open, pouring out and soaking the sheets, soaking him, feeling the delicious release as the force of it drags you under.
his breath stutters, his grip bruising as he chases it. he buries himself, spilling inside you, filling you and leaving something permanent behind.
his forehead presses against the back of your neck. his body stills, but his arms tighten around you, sealing you in the moment with him.
because this is it.
if you ran, he’d find you. if you fought, he’d break you down, drag you back, make you forget why you ever wanted to leave.
his fingers slide into your damp hair, pushing it off your forehead. he tilts your face just enough for his lips to brush your temple.
his breath is soft, warm when he whispers, “thank you, pretty girl.” you don’t know what you’ve done.
+++
you’re drifting. the world is muffled, distant, like sound traveling through water. your limbs don’t work, your mind doesn’t move. you just exist—empty, light, gone.
somewhere, you know choso is holding you. you can feel his warmth at the edge of your consciousness, an anchor you can’t quite reach.
but you’re safe here. his.
his hands shift, adjusting you away from the mess on the bed. you hum—more of a breath than a sound—pliant in his grip.
“baby?”
no response.
his thumb presses lightly into your jaw, trying to coax a reaction, but there’s nothing. your body is slack in his hold, breath coming too slow.
his stomach dips, sharp and visceral. his hands are calm when he cups your face, but his breath isn’t. his heart isn’t.
his fingers press against your wrist, searching for your pulse. still there. slow but steady.
but you don’t move. you don’t even look at him.
“baby, you with me?”
a hum, noncommittal, far away.
it’s not enough.
his throat tightens. his hands shake, just barely.
what if he went too far? what if you don’t come back?
the realization curls like smoke under his ribs.
he smooths your hair, tilting your chin up, a thumb stroking your cheek. “i need you to look at me, pretty girl.”
nothing.
“please.” his voice breaks on the word. he presses a kiss to the top of your head, breath shaky, exhaling slow. grounding himself before he grounds you.
“okay,” he murmurs, softer now, steadier. “okay, baby, i got you.”
his lips rest against your temple. he breathes you in. your breath, shallow and warm against his skin. the quiet rise of your chest against his. your weight, soft in his arms.
his stomach clenches. he shouldn’t love this, not like this, not while you’re gone. but part of him does—how tender you are, how easy you are to hold, how completely you’ve let him have you.
his thumb brushes over your parted lips. something possessive curls inside him, unshakable.
“you’re so fucking beautiful.” he kisses the words against your skin, the bruises on your neck, the fading heat where his grip had been. his lips ghost your forehead, your cheek, your jaw.
“need to clean you up, baby. can you move?”
nothing. you don’t even try.
you just burrow closer, pressing your face deeper into his chest, a quiet little sound slipping from your throat.
his breath catches. something pulls. twists.
you don’t want to move. you don’t want to leave him.
his fingers splay across your stomach, feeling the steady rhythm of your breath. he strokes a hand up your side, cups the nape of your neck, presses his lips your pulse point.
“you don’t have to.” he exhales. “i’ll take care of you.”
he lifts you, cradling you against his chest as he carries you to the bathroom. the warmth of the room contrasts the cold counter when he sets you down, but you don’t seem to register it.
unease tugs at his ribs, but he tamps it down, turning the faucet and watching steam rise from the bath.
when he settles you into the water, you lean into the warmth lapping at your skin.
something sharp lingers in his chest. he wants you back.
he strokes your hair back. his voice is soft, but there’s something dark beneath it.
“stay with me, pretty girl.”
choso washes you like he’s caring for something fragile. strong hands smooth over your arms, your back, your legs. each touch is a silent plea.
“breathe, baby.”
the words feel distant, like they’re coming through a thick fog, but something in you listens. you inhale, slow and deep.
“just like that. you’re safe.”
the haze clings to you, wrapped around your limbs. but beneath it, you feel him.
“you were so good for me,” he says, almost to himself. “so perfect.”
he wraps a fluffy towel around you, pulling you into his chest. your head tips forward, resting on his shoulder. a small shift, a silent seeking.
his stomach tightens. “i got you,” he says, voice softer now.
he carries you back, setting you on the bed. the world fades in and out, but the weight of your body is returning. the first thing you register fully is him.
he dresses you—clean panties, soft shirt. his touch is attentive, reverent, but his mind is restless.
he needs you back.
his hands are calm as he pulls the fabric over your head, but when your fingers twitch against his bicep, the lightest touch, something in him holds its breath.
“that’s it, baby.” his voice is raw, aching. “come back to me.”
the haze thins, peeling away in pieces. awareness pulls you in slowly, settling, anchoring.
you exhale. stretch.
choso watches, still, silent, breath held.
your lashes flutter. your gaze lifts.
and then you meet his eyes.
his whole body exhales, something releasing inside him.
“there you are.”
it’s quiet, almost a whisper, but his voice is full of something raw and undeniable.
the weight of what just happened settles in his chest.
it’s not regret.
it’s proof.
that you need him. that you trust him. that you belong to him.
you always have.
and when your fingers curl weakly into his shirt, holding him there, he wavers, unsteady.
you’re back. fully. you feel the soft fabric of the shirt against your skin, the scent of clean laundry, the steadiness of your own breath.
and him. always him.
choso watches you, unmoving, like you might disappear if he blinks.
your lips part, about to speak, but you don’t get the chance.
he’s kissing you. slow, deep, and final.
his lips move against yours like he’s sealing something permanent, like he’s branding you. a promise. there’s no hesitation, no question or room for doubt.
he feels it now, how irreversible this is. you were supposed to run. even if you wanted him, even if you eventually let him, you were supposed to pull away just once, just enough for him to know that there were lines between you. but there aren’t. you didn’t. you never even thought about it.
his fingers drift over the marks on you, pressing gently on them like he can make them deeper. “mine.”
you tighten your hold on his shirt, anchoring yourself to him, and when he pulls back, you whisper—”say it again.”
his breath hitches. then, lower, rougher, “you’re fucking mine.”
he kisses your jaw, your cheek, following the words with his mouth, speaking them into your skin like a prayer.
you exhale and nod, soft and small. you don’t even have to say anything. he sees it in your eyes.
you’re his.
something breaks inside him. something desperate, something he’s been holding back for so long that he didn’t even realize it had slipped.
he presses his forehead to yours, breath shaking, and then—
“you’re never leaving me.”
it’s too dark to be sweet, too honest to be a threat.
his eyes sting. and you see it, in the way his hands tighten around you, like he’s holding onto something fragile, something precious. not just you, but the knowledge that he has you now, that he can’t ever lose you. he’s afraid.
you could still ruin this. you could say something else, shift the balance, make it so he has to do something drastic.
but instead, you smooth your hands up his chest, over his shoulders, curling around his neck, grounding him.
“i never wanted to,” you tell him, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
his grip tightens. “you mean that?”
it’s a question. but you both understand that he’s not asking if you mean it.
he’s asking if you understand what happens if you don’t.

It started with the axe.
Not a chainsaw - no, that would have been too simple, too civilized, too modern. It was the thud of an axe that first made you hate him.
Every morning at 6:17 sharp, right when the sky was still learning how to be blue, you’d hear it. The clean, smug crack of metal meeting wood. Again and again. Like a heartbeat that belonged to a different kind of human - one with too much muscle and not enough consideration.
That first time, you’d stormed outside barefoot in your robe, clutching a coffee as if it might serve as a weapon. You asked him if he could wait until at least 8 am and he’d only given you a slow, lazy grin that stretched too wide on a face carved too perfectly and said, “Didn’t know we were keepin’ princess hours around here.” You had half a mind to actually throw your coffee at him.
The next time, he only grinned at you, blue eyes glinting under the brim of his flannel-lined cap. “Mornin’, princess,” he had greeted you with a voice that suggested he knew exactly that you’d come out. “Don’t call me that,” you’d snapped. “Would sweetheart be better?” he only teased back with a spark in his eyes.
You’d gone back inside fuming.
And that was just the beginning.
Since then, Bucky Barnes - your lumberjack neighbor with the smug jaw and unfairly sculptured arms - had accidentally parked his truck partially on your side of the gravel driveway twice. He’d borrowed your Amazon package - “didn’t even look at the name, swear it” - so you were forced to walk over to him and ask for it back, which he finally agreed to only after a discussion lasting over thirty minutes.
You had tried to out-snark him. Out-quiet him. You even filed a passive-aggressive noise complaint with the HOA, only to find out he was on the damn committee.
You hate him. You hate how his flannel sleeves always roll up just enough to show his thick forearms. You hate that his hair always looks a little too perfect for someone who supposedly lives without WiFi. And you especially hate that he looks amused every time you get mad.
Today, you need firewood, yourself.
The heating in your old, overpriced cabin went out last night - again - and the guy who promised to come fix it flaked for the third time in a row.
Your backup electric heater fried with a dramatic sizzle that nearly took your cat down with it, and now you’re left with a fireplace, a stack of unsplit logs, and more pride than sense.
You tie your hair back.
You’ve got gloves. Thin ones - meant for gardening. But that’s close enough, you guess. It has to be.
You’ve got a borrowed axe from Mrs. Caldwell down the lane. Pink-handled. Surprisingly heavy.
And you’ve got determination. Stubbornness. An undying loathing for asking Bucky Barnes for help.
You’d rather die barefoot in the freezing cold than ask him for help. He’s already smug enough, with those thick hands and smirking lips and Jesus Christ, the way he wipes his forehead with the back of his hand when he is sweating as if it’s performance art.
The air is harsh on your cheeks as you step outside. The wind snatches at your coat. There are logs stocked beside the chopping block. You plant your boots.
You drag the axe overhead, trying to remember what your uncle taught you once at a campground years ago.
You let the axe down. And you miss. The log shudders under the dull weight of your poor aim, laughing at you, maybe. You feel the reverberation up your arms.
Gritting your teeth, you reset, and swing again. Nothing. Just a dull smack, as if hitting a pillow made of shame.
“You tryna kill the wood or yourself?”
You freeze. You curse internally.
But you don’t turn around right away. You can hear the grin in his voice and you want just one second to school your face into something that won’t betray your flustered rage.
“I don’t recall inviting commentary,” you state annoyed. Only briefly granting him a glare.
He’s already at the fence line, one hand braced on the top rail, other gripping a thermos. He’s chewing on something. A toothpick? A matchstick? His own smugness?
“Y’gonna hurt someone with that form, princess,” he assesses easily.
“Mind your own business, Barnes,” you hiss unkindly.
He grins. Pushes off the fence with the easy grace of someone who knows they’re built like mythology.
“Hard not to when you’re over here looking like an axe-wielding toddler.”
You roll your eyes. Hard. But a fire burns low inside your body. It’s as if you’re trying to summon the strength of the gods for this conversation.
“Don’t you have logs to scream at or whatever it is you do every morning? Why are you even looking over here?” you bite out through clenched teeth.
There is steam curling from the lid of his thermos and he’s got the audacity to sip it slow as if this is all very amusing to him “You’re louder than I am today,” he remarks smoothly, still grinning with sparkling eyes. “A real accomplishment, considering how much you complain ‘bout me.”
You huff out a breath. It clouds around you. You grip the axe tighter.
“I didn’t choose to do this, Barnes. But I can.”
“Oh, I believe you,” he eases, sauntering through the open gate now, because he has no respect for boundaries. “I just don’t believe the logs will survive your technique.”
You don’t dignify that with a response. Instead, you turn back, lift the axe in indignation, and swing again.
Thunk.
“Y’know,” he drawls, getting closer, boots crunching across the frosted ground, “if you wanted me to come over, all you had to do was ask real nice.”
“I’d rather freeze.”
“Kinky.”
You spin, axe hanging at your side, panting more from rage than effort.
“Go away, Bucky.”
But he doesn’t. He only moves closer, ignoring you. As always. He smells of cedarwood and coffee and damn it, effortless masculinity. His beard is a little too neat, the plaid stretched a little too tight across those shoulders, and he’s looking at you with those annoying, laughing eyes.
He’s enjoying this.
You lift the axe again, jaw set, and swing.
This time, it lands. The log splits just a little at the top, not much, but enough to make you stand a little straighter.
Bucky whistles now. “Look at that. She’s got claws.”
“I told you I don’t need help.”
“I heard you,” he drones out, stepping closer again, and now his hand is on the handle of the axe with yours. The heat of his skin sears through your glove. “But I’ve also seen what you’re doing to these poor logs. You don’t have to be a martyr.”
You want to yank your hand back, yell, bite, something. But you just look up, ready to glare.
Suddenly, a sharp sting shoots through your palm. You flinch. Just subtly.
But he sees it.
“What is it?” he asks, voice shifting a little softer, quieter. Concern elbowing amusement out of the way.
“Nothing,” you lie, too fast.
He catches your wrist. Gently. His fingers are rough and warm and careful and it makes your stomach twist. “You okay?” he asks without sarcasm this time.
You want to say yes.
But your pride is bleeding out of your palm with the little splinter lodged deep beneath your skin, and somehow your hand is already in his.
“Lemme see.” He peels off your glove, gentle but fast, as if he’s done this a hundred times.
You try to pull away, but he holds on.
“Hold still.”
His thumb brushes over your knuckles. His face is different now - focused, brows knit together, all the flirt and teasing gone. And for the first time, you feel the quiet in him. As if under all that swagger and plaid, there’s a silence he doesn’t let out often. It makes your chest churn uncomfortably.
“I’ve got tweezers in the shed,” he says, voice low and grim. “Stay here.”
“I can-”
“Don’t argue.” His eyes meet yours. “You’ll dig it in deeper.”
You nod. Small and jerky.
He’s back in seconds, unsurprisingly quick, and he orders you to sit on a log before he kneels at your side. You expect him to be rough, maybe uncareful, but he’s not. He works delicately and precisely, eyes flicking up to yours every so often to check if it hurts, and when he finally pulls the splinter free, you don’t even feel it.
His fingers don’t let go. Not right away. Not even when the splinter’s gone completely and your hand is wrapped in the warmth of him. You feel the heat of his touch and you hate that it calms something in you. That it quiets the buzzing in your chest.
He’s still crouched in front of you, thick brows pulled together as though your skin is glass and he’s afraid to leave a mark. His eyes are focused entirely on your hand, sweeping over the lines of your palm. And it does things to his face. Softens it. Opens it. As if someone peeled away the cocky grin and the smart mouth and what’s left underneath is quieter, deeper.
You’ve never seen him like this.
And the worst part is, you don’t know if you want it to stop.
“You should disinfect this,” he notes, voice low, nearly hoarse.
“It was just a splinter.”
His gaze drifts up to yours. Locks in. But he doesn’t look at you like a man who enjoys the game. Not like the neighbor who calls you princess and sweetheart with a grin in his voice and a challenge in his eyes. This look he’s giving you right now scrapes across your bones. “Doesn’t take much. Even a splinter can fester. Get infected. They carry bacteria. Especially out here, with all the dirt and bark and- can get infected faster than you think. Fever. Swelling. Might need stitches if it goes bad. You don’t want to mess around with that.”
His voice is anything but teasing now. There is no glint in his eyes. Just steel. Seriousness. Something else that looks like concern.
It’s as if someone rearranged the pieces of his face and gave him a conscience.
You blink at him. He’s still holding your hand. Still cupping it as if it’s something valuable. As if you’re something worth careful handling. Just enough softness to keep you wondering.
You’ve fought with this man. Argued over property lines, over noise, over the fact that he whistles while he works like some Disney lumberjack. You’ve accused him of waking the dead with his morning routines. You’ve shoved snow back into his yard with passive-aggressive vengeance. He once left a Get Better Soon balloon on your porch after you sneezed twice on the way to your car.
And yet now. Now, his thumb brushes your wrist as if he forgot he was touching you. As if maybe he wants to keep forgetting.
“You’re starting to sound as if you care,” you murmur, maybe a little amused, but confused nevertheless.
Something flashes across his eyes. Behind them. He looks away for a second. One breath. Two.
“Next time,” he starts, quiet but sharper. Firm. “Come to me before you try to do something like this on your own.”
Your pride bristles, instinctive and stubborn. You straighten your spine, try to pull your hand back, but he doesn’t let you go just yet.
“If I remember correctly, and I do, I didn’t come to you at all, Barnes. It was you who walked into my-”
“I mean it, Y/n. You can always come to me. Promise me, you will,” he insists intensely, lowly.
There’s something in his voice that sits heavy in your chest. You feel it. All of it.
“Fine,” you relent finally, reluctantly.
Only then does he release you.
With the clear of his throat, he steps back. The loss is sudden. Cold. You almost feel foolish for missing it.
“I’ll disinfect it,” you say at last, trying not to sound too much as if you’re surrendering.
Bucky nods once. “Good. But go do it inside. Warm up.”
Your mouth opens immediately. “I’m not fragile, Barnes. A splinter doesn’t knock me out of the game.” You say it with a small teasing tone, but Bucky doesn’t seem to pick it up. Or he ignores it.
He only crosses his arms. Tight. His flannel strains across his chest. “Didn’t say it did. But that doesn’t mean you should be swingin’ an axe anytime soon. I’ll do it.”
He says it with a kind of dominance that makes you scoff. “I didn’t ask for your help.”
“Don’t need you to ask.”
There is no grin. No smirk. Just the stubborn set of his jaw and the firm intensity in his eyes. It unnerves you. Not because it’s sharp - but because it’s gentle. Because he’s not teasing you. Because he’s worried, and you don’t know what to do with that version of Bucky Barnes.
So, with a sigh and slightly trembling hands, you turn and head inside. But the warmth in your cabin is nothing compared to the heat still lingering in your chest. You rinse your hand under water that runs slow and cold, and dab antiseptic. But your thoughts stay outside. Stay with those blue eyes watching for signs of weakness as though he’s reading a weather report.
He’s never been like that before. Never so serious. Never so close.
And when you step back outside, your breath catches.
Bucky is already splitting your wood.
His form is fluid, practiced. Each swing of the axe is poetry. Violence tamed. He doesn’t grunt or growl - he just moves with expertise. One hand on the handle, the other steadying the log, shoulders flexing beneath that worn flannel with every arc. The axe comes down like thunder. Wood cracks, clean and quick, falling in neat halves at his boots.
He’s got his sleeves rolled up past his elbows again, breath misting in the air. The sound of the logs cracking echoes through the trees like a song with no chorus.
You lean against the railing of your porch and watch him work.
And you hate that he’s mesmerizing.
He doesn’t look up. Just sets another log in place.
“Sit down,” he says, calm as a lake.
You stare. “What?”
“Or go back inside. Warmer there. I’ll finish up.”
You narrow your eyes at him. “Are you seriously ordering me around?”
“Nope,” he deadpans, finally glancing at you. “I’m instructing you. There’s a difference.”
You’re still staring.
He gives you a look. Not mean. Not commanding. Just firm.
“You don’t have to do everything by yourself, you know.”
You flinch as if the words are sharp. As if they know something about you they shouldn’t.
You want to argue. To say watch me. To toss something sarcastic just to get back the balance.
But you don’t.
You sit. On the porch steps, cold wood stinging the backs of your thighs but you stay and watch him work.
His swings are controlled. His jaw is clenched. No more cocky remarks. No smile. Just focus. He splits like a man trying to prove a point - to you, or to himself, you don’t know.
“You can stop now,” you voice after a moment.
But he doesn’t.
“Bucky.”
Still nothing.
He sets another log. Lifts. Crack.
You cross your arms. Raise your voice.
“Barnes. That’s enough for now.”
Finally, he pauses. Looks over to you. His cheeks are flushed from the cold. He’s starting to sweat slowly. And still, he doesn’t smirk. Doesn’t tease.
“This won’t last long,” he says gruffly, nodding to the pile of wood at his feet. “You’ll be left freezin’ in less than a month.”
“That’s alright,” you try to argue. “I’ve got this guy coming by-”
But he interrupts you with the almost too-loud crack of another log splitting to pieces, his arms winding up to thunder down another time. He’s not even listening to you anymore. Just keeps going.
He looks so determined, it might even be endearing.
But you don’t say anything. You wouldn’t be able to bring out another word. Because this man surely is an enigma.
You didn’t know a man could be this quiet and still make so much noise inside your body.
You’re not sure how long you stay there, watching. But when he’s done, he gathers the logs in his arms as if they weigh nothing at all. Walks them to the side of your house, where the covered racks wait. He stacks them neatly. Tucks a tarp over them.
And then he turns to you.
His breath is ragged slightly, his eyes are unreadable, but there is something softened in them. Like thaw.
“You’re all set.”
You swallow, mouth dry, hands restless in your lap.
“Thank you,” you say. It feels like swallowing rocks.
He nods. Doesn’t say you’re welcome. Doesn’t wink.
He just turns and walks back to where the axe is resting. He picks it up. Fingers sliding over the pink handle. His expression is unreadable.
“Is this yours?” he asks, voice low, thick with something you never heard in his voice before.
You shake your head slowly. “Mrs. Caldwell’s. She loaned it to me.”
He nods. Slow. Thoughtful. As if he is filing that away in the same place he stores the weather, the weight of wood, the sound your boots make when you’re frustrated and trying not to show it.
“I’ll bring it back to her,” he voices. Deep and sure.
You’re thrown for a second.
There’s nothing performative about it. No smirk. No spark. He doesn’t even look at you when he says it - he just studies the axe again as if it’s dangerous.
You stare at him, hands curled into the sleeves of your coat. Trying to decide if the stuttering in your chest is from the cold or something far less logical.
Is he just trying to be polite? Returning something for you? Or is this about control? About making sure you won’t be getting your hands on that thing again?
You search his face for a clue, but he’s turned now, adjusting his grip on the handle as if he’s already taken care of this for you.
“You don’t have to,” you still try.
He moves around to you again, his gaze falling onto yours. “Nah, I’ve got it,” he insists, but his gaze is not as nonchalant as his voice is.
“Uhm, okay,” you start, a little unsure. “Thanks.”
Another one of his nods and it starts to make you uneasy. He keeps standing there for a moment too long, looking at you as though he might say something more.
But he doesn’t.
He just turns. Walks back across the yard, his boots crunching slightly on the ground, the axe hanging over his shoulder like some kind of burden he’s used to carrying.
You watch him disappear, into the warm glow of sunrise burning between the pines.
And you wonder.
You wonder what it means when the person you thought was your enemy touches you as though you’re important to him.
You wonder why it felt safer than anything else ever has.

drabble - arranged marriage au gojo satoru who went all the way to tokyo to bring you a sugar bun as a peace offering (also a sneak peek to my next fic that's longer!)
a/n: i'm working so hard on it but my wifi is dead and i have to use my data to write, so it will take a little longer but it's already more than 3k right now, so expect a long fic of this soon. :)
masterlists & requests: before you go, have a glass of wine or better yet, recommend a good bottle. any kind of message is always a delight.
_
And then, just as your heart started to calm, he reached into his sleeve and pulled something out. Your eyes widened in surprise at the sugar bun he brought out, neatly wrapped in a pale paper.
He held it out to you, completely deadpan. "Peace offering."
Your brows furrowed. "…For what?"
He shrugged one shoulder, a lazy motion that somehow still managed to carry elegance. "For crashing your very exclusive garden party. And, you know, the whole arranged marriage thing."
You blinked, taken aback by the casualness in his tone.
He tilted his head and added, "I’m aware I don't exactly have a.. peaceful reputation, but I heard you liked sweets and I thought bringing flowers would be boring."
You stared at the sugar bun. Then back at him. Then back at the sugar bun.
"…You’ve been spying on me?"
"Research," he said, one hand dramatically placed on his chest. "Basic recon. You’d be amazed what I can find out from your maids in just a few minutes."
"But even so, how did you manage to get the sugar bun on time? Your family couldn't have been here for that long," you pointed out, suspicion creeping into your voice.
Gojo grinned, the kind of grin that belonged to someone far too pleased with himself.
"Teleportation," he said simply, like it was the most normal thing in the world.
You blinked. "Teleportation," you repeated in disbelief.
"Yep. Technically, it’s a manipulation of space, but that’s boring talk." He gave the sugar bun a slight wave in front of your face. "What matters is that one moment I’m sweet-talking your maids, next moment I’m popping into my favorite bakery with the most delicious sugar bun that I know of in Tokyo, and then boom, I’m back here with the gift in hand."
"I didn’t want to show up empty-handed," he said with a casual shrug. "First impressions matter, and I didn’t think you'd be impressed by the usual fancy clan offerings. The elders suggested gold, pearls, cursed weapons-- they're all quite a bore when you keep on receiving them."
You almost smiled.
The absurdity of it. The sincerity behind that sugar bun.
"And besides," he added, stepping a little closer and holding out the sugar bun again, "I wanted to give you something you would actually like and enjoy."
That made you pause.
It was true that you expected gifts from him not because you wanted it but rather that it was obligatory for the bride and groom to gift something in their first meeting. It had always been mandatory.
But this? A sugar bun from Tokyo, delivered through a manipulation of time and space, because he thought you would like it?
You took it from his hand, your fingers brushing his for the briefest second.
"Thank you," you murmured with a sincere smile.
He smiled so gently that it made you wonder for a moment—just for a moment—why you had been so guarded before.
"Anytime," he said.

PLEASE READ THE UPDATE AND THE REPLIES AND THE LAST REBLOG BEFORE I TURNED OFF REBLOGS BEFORE ACCUSING ME OF SPREADING MISSINFORMATION!!!! this post was written before steam realized they had the wrong tags on i agree though pirate EA games <3
As someone who knows alot about piracy please Pirate the sims 1 and 2 because the new rerelease has denuvo tacked onto it and that mf will kill your computers and drain your wifi
let me explain what denuvo is
in short its "anti cheat" code thats only purpose is to complicate the game code so badly that it makes it near impossible for pirates to reverse engineere the game and pirate it, ofc this is not true and Pirates can crack many versions of denuvo it just takes time
so essentially it does nothing but ruin your computer
how?
This extra slop code is integrated into the code of the game so it runs every single time you launch the game and on top of the code slop that games are made of that make your compute heat up and use up ram denuvo code is running ON TOP, using more ram AND internet, forcing offline games to go fully online When the games previously didnt need an internet connection at all.
It has been proven so many times that it cause issues from longer load times to frame rate drops, denuvo's code slows everything down and almost always performance improves by like 50% after denuvo is removed by developers.
There are games that were completely unplayable like they wouldn't even launch because of denuvo, and the company claims this is not their fault and that people should upgrade their computers so this wont happen.. yeah right
Essentially with the reveal that EA didn't fix anything about the sims 1 and 2 and just released them as is but with denuvo attached they literally sold you code to keep you Connected to their servers and force you to not be able to share anything with anyone and forcing the games to preform 50 times worse than their 25 year old selves...
So please dont buy a program that will kill your computers and ruin your games and allow EA to be permanently Connected on your computer thats posing as the sims 1 and 2!!!!
Please please just pirate these 2 games!
Also even though sims 4 is free also Pirate that shit its not worth paying over 1k dollars in dlcs when hslf od them do not work
Update the denuvo tag on steam was a mistake on EAs part it has been confirmed that they dont have it (proof in the REBLOGS) my point still stands though :
PIRATE EA GAMES PEOPLE its literally the better choice for your poor computers

After Bucky’s win, you and the rest of the team had about two months to move to DC.
And needless to say, things were quite chaotic.
“I’m telling you, the best way to get over a relationship is a new city,” Kelsey said while you kept your eyes on the computer screen, and Caleb laid on his back on top of his desk, scrolling on his phone. “So you scheduled your break up perfectly.”
“I did not schedule my break up, Kels,” you muttered and paused for a moment. “Although, it is a good idea if I ever decide to date again.”
“You will date again.”
“Not anytime soon.” You turned the screen to her. “What do we think about this apartment?”
“What are you guys doing here?” Bucky’s voice reached you and you all turned to him, Caleb sitting up as he entered the bullpen to approach your desk. You tried to ignore how fast your heartbeat got when he smiled at you, and you nodded at him before forcing yourself to turn your gaze to the screen again.
Play it cool.
“We figured we’d pay our respects to the office before we closed it down,” Kelsey said. “What are you doing here?”
“Sarah says the boys forgot a toy figurine here somewhere,” Bucky said. “Came to look for it, couldn’t find it—you are not supposed to be working this week.”
“We’re not working.”
“So you decided to come to the office that we’re closing down on your time off just because?”
You tilted your head. “That sounds like judgment from the man who’s standing in the same bullpen as we are.”
“That’s probably because I am judging,” Bucky pointed out. “And I have an actual reason to be here.”
“So do we,” you said. “We were feeling sentimental and the wifi here is better—Kels, the apartment?”
Kelsey took a peek at the screen. “Meh, maybe. Depends on which one would be my room. Caleb?”
“I don’t care as long as the living room is big,” Caleb said and Bucky looked between you, his brows pulling into a frown.
“You’re moving in together?”
“Mm hm.”
“All three of you?”
“You know how people bond in prison and stuff?” Caleb asked. “Turns out, the same thing happens when you work in politics.”
“I don’t know DC, Caleb has student loans and Birdie has just got out of a relationship,” Kelsey said. “We figured all three of us together equal one functional member of society.”
That made Bucky pause for a second, his gaze on you warming your cheeks while you forced yourself to keep your attention on the screen.
“And are you okay?” he asked. “With the break up?”
…Fine.
Things with Bucky were still a little weird.
He was still dating Hazel, who did not like you, and sailing through this break up while also trying to change cities was not doing your anxiety any favors. Kelsey had a point, you did not think you could stay alone at least for a while, especially when your crush on Bucky was evolving every goddamn day.
Who was, to repeat, in a relationship.
“Yeah,” you said. “Yeah I’m fine, I only cried for like two hours yesterday.”
“That’s why we’re getting you a new guy—”
“Already?”
That made all of you turn to Bucky and he blinked a couple of times, then cleared his throat.
“I just mean…” He motioned vaguely. “You know, there’s nothing wrong with waiting a little. You just broke up with the guy.”
“I downloaded a bunch of apps after I broke up with my last boyfriend, and we weren’t even together for the quarter of time she was with that asshole,” Kelsey stated and Bucky’s frown deepened.
“You’re on apps now?”
“I’m not on anything except real estate sites,” you announced and if you didn’t know any better, you would’ve thought the exhale that left Bucky’s lips was one of relief. “And I’m not dating anyone for a while.”
“Birdie, you need to go on a couple of dates to at least catch up.”
Bucky made a face. “Catch up?”
“Look at her, she’s like a newborn deer!” Caleb reached out to squeeze your cheeks “All clueless about how hard it is out there!”
You batted his hand away.
“I will kick your ass if I have to,” you grumbled, clicking on another listing while Kelsey nodded solemnly.
“She is a newborn deer and there are wolves out there, Bucky.”
“Don’t ask why they’re like this because I don’t have a good answer,” you told Bucky who scoffed a laugh as you pulled open your drawer to pull out a file. “By the way, I forgot to put it in the boxes and we sent most of them away. Want me to drop it off at your place later on?”
“Would you?”
“Oh yeah, I have to go to the bank around the neighborhood anyway. No problem.”
“You still have my key, right?”
“Mm hm,” you said and checked the time. “You should get going by the way. You have that lunch thing.”
“Hold on, how did you…?”
“Checking your calendar is muscle memory at this point, I do it every day.”
“To repeat, you’re supposed to be relaxing, not working.”
“And you’re supposed to be on your way to lunch.” You shot him a smug grin. “So how about you worry about the material of your own house instead of throwing stones?”
Bucky held up his hands, gesturing surrender.
“Let me know if you see any toy figurines here?”
“Will do!” you said as he walked away and Caleb laid down on the desk again, then rolled onto his side.
“We all agree that he wants you, right?”
“He wants his girlfriend, Caleb.”
“In his defense, you had a boyfriend when he got himself a girlfriend,” Kelsey said, making your jaw clench. “He can’t just drop her the moment you break up with your boyfriend.”
“He can, actually.” Caleb commented and Kelsey shook her head.
“I was with the guy 24/7 during the election time, so trust me, he won’t. He was raised to be the perfect 40s gentleman, things worked differently when it came to relationships back then, so he thinks he can’t, at least not right now. If we look at it from his perspective—”
“We’re not going to look at anything from his perspective because there’s nothing to look at.” You cut her off, then turned the screen to her again. “Check this out?”
                                                  *
You liked Bucky’s apartment.
You didn’t know if it was because there were many things that looked like they didn’t belong to this century or the scent of him that lingered, but whenever you visited you always felt relaxed.
“Hi Alpine.” You bent down to pet the white furball when she came to greet you at the door with a meow. “Aren’t you the prettiest princess? Hm? Aren't you the cutest kitty?”
She purred, bumping her head on your ankle.
“I got you your favorite treat, just give me one sec,” you said as you made your way to Bucky’s study to put the file on his desk, and Alpine darted back to the hallway. You approached the phonograph at the corner of the room to take a peek at the records, running your fingertips over a Ella Fitzgerald record before the sound of keys jingling reached your ears, making your head whip around when you heard your name being spat in distaste.
“No I’m telling you, I don’t trust her,” Hazel’s voice was clear as the door closed and your eyes widened.
“Shit…” you whispered, looking around in frenzy before you rushed to the desk to get under it, her footsteps going past the study.
Alright.
Maybe you had not thought this through.
There was no way you could just announce your presence now, and judging by how angry she had said your name, you figured it would’ve made things even more awkward than they already were.
Trust Bucky to give his keys three months into the relationship.
“No I just dropped by his place, I forgot my fucking—oh here it is.” Her voice got closer before she entered the study and flung herself on the couch, making you grimace.
Fuck.
Through the small crack, you could see her putting her phone on the small coffee table by the couch before she stretched out.
“I’m so tired.”
“I just think you’re stressed out over nothing,” A female voice said from the speaker and Hazel groaned.
“It’s not nothing,” she insisted. “I’m telling you, she wants him. And if you saw that hug…”
Jesus Christ, what was it with everyone and that hug?
“It was just a hug.”
“He has never hugged me like that,” Hazel replied. “He didn’t even hug me like that that night!”
“I’d say he hugged you plenty for the rest of the night,” A laugh echoed in the room and Hazel scoffed.
“Sex with Bucky…” she trailed off, making your heart skip a beat. “Trust me, that’s a whole new level but that’s not what I’m talking about.”
Great. This was just great.
Not only were you crushing on your boss, you now had to listen to the said boss’s sex life with his girlfriend while you were hiding from the aforementioned girlfriend under his desk.
All because you had to be nice and volunteer to drop that file off while he wasn’t home.
“Bucky has this wall around him.” Hazel’s voice snapped you out of your thoughts. “And no matter how perfect the sex is, the moment you so much as approach that wall, he just shuts down.”
Your eyes widened when you saw Alpine peek her head around the desk before she happily jumped into your lap, pushing at your folded legs.
“What are you doing?” you mouthed as if she could answer you, but she only head-butted your knee, then blinked up at you, making you run a hand over your face before you started scratching at her head.
This was not what you had imagined when you applied for a job in politics.
“And you know how it is,” she said. “Young female aide gives him puppy dog eyes whenever he’s around and the next thing you know…”
Alpine gave you a quizzical look and you rolled your eyes, then shook your head.
“I get it, but she’s been around him for a while now and nothing happened.”
“She has a boyfriend.”
Ah.
Bucky hadn’t told her about your breakup then.
“And he has a girlfriend,” her friend insisted. “A hot, successful, wealthy girlfriend, he’s not gonna throw that away for some dumb girl. And besides, you’re much hotter.”
The interesting thing was that Kelsey had said the exact same thing about you just a week ago.
“I don’t know,” Hazel said with a sigh. “I feel like I’m trespassing sometimes. Maybe he doesn’t actually like me. I mean, even his cat doesn’t like me.”
You looked down at Alpine who was kneading your leg while purring and ran your fingers through her soft fur.
“It’s a damn cat, Haze.”
Hazel scoffed a laugh. “I know it’s been only three months but I really like him, you know?”
Oh, you definitely knew the feeling.
“And I want to make it work, but I’m not sure if I can if she’s in the picture,” she said. “Not to mention they’ll both be in DC—”
“His whole team is moving there, not just her,” her friend reminded her. “And if she’s bothering you that much, just tell Bucky to fire her.”
That made your hand stop mid-air.
Excuse you?
“I mentioned it to him the other day,” Hazel said, making your jaw drop. “And at first he genuinely thought it was a joke as if even the idea is unthinkable, so he laughed it off but when he saw I was serious, it got kind of…tense.”
“Tense?”
“He just shut it down, refused to even talk about it, and he was so cold that—it’s like she’s his line in the sand. Untouchable.”
“No she’s not,” her friend said. “Honestly, I doubt he even thinks about her outside work. He just wants to keep her because she is good at her job, nothing more.”
Hazel rolled her eyes. “I’m gonna tell you something but you can’t call me paranoid.”
“Shoot.”
“I’m not sure but last night it kind of sounded like he muttered her name in his sleep.”
Her friend’s laugh was loud enough to cover the small gasp that left your lips, making you put your hand over mouth and you closed your eyes shut, half expecting Hazel to approach the table but thankfully, she hadn’t heard it.
“Paranoid.”
“It really sounded like that!”
“As I said, you’re being paranoid,” she said. “Haze, relax. The great Bucky Barnes is all yours, with or without that starry-eyed girl in the picture.”
That made you bite inside your cheek, the familiar ache twisting your stomach and she got up from the couch, making your head whip up.
“Gotta go, I’ll call you later,” she said and hung up, then walked out of the study before you heard the front door open, and close again.
Relief hit you so hard that you felt dizzy, and you let out a breath before carefully lifting Alpine from your lap to come out from under the desk.
“Well that was a new low, wasn’t it?” you muttered and turned to Alpine. “Come on, I’ll give you your food in the kitchen.”
Alpine followed you to the kitchen and jumped on the kitchen island as you rummaged through your purse to take out a can of wet food. You opened it and put it in front of her, and she dug in while you heaved a sigh, trailing your fingers over her fur.
“You know, contrary to what she thinks, I am not dumb,” you said. “I get why she doesn’t like me. I don’t like her either, but mine is because of the jealousy that Bucky is dating her, which I know, I know; that’s very immature and I shouldn’t do it but come on, she wants to get me fired.”
Alpine didnt even lift her head.
“She asked him to fire me!” you insisted. “There’s a line, seriously. I would never do that, regardless of how jealous I was. You don’t fuck with people’s jobs.”
Unsurprisingly, Alpine was more interested in her food than your rambling.
“Your father doesn’t like me that way, for the record,” you added. “And I do not give anyone puppy dog eyes, okay? That’s just how I look at people.”
She finished her food and raised her head, licking around her mouth and you huffed out, then threw the can in the trash.
“I’ll bring you another one the next time if you promise not to tell your dad.”
“Mrow?”
“Good, you got yourself a deal,” you said and pressed a kiss on the top of her head, then grabbed your purse and walked out of the apartment.
                                                *
Going into the bank, getting stuff done and getting out was supposed to be fast but you could hardly focus on anything, your mind still replaying what Hazel had said about Bucky saying your name in his sleep over and over again. You wondered whether there was even a slight chance it was anything close to your dreams because more than once you had woken up, breathing out Bucky’s name, your whole body on fire, your mind fuzzy—
No way.
Bucky dreaming about you only existed in Hazel’s mind, nothing more.
You were so lost in your thoughts that you barely heard someone calling out your name, but as soon as you did, your head whipped around.
What in the goddamn fuck was with you running into people in this city at the most inconvenient time possible?
“Hi Tessa,” you said, plastering a smile on your face. “What a coincidence.”
“Hi,” she said, shifting her weight from one foot to other. “How have you been? Max mentioned…”
She trailed off, averting her eyes from you and you waved a hand in the air.
“Oh I’m totally fine. How about you?”
“I’m good,” she said. “I saw Barnes won the election, that’s great! I voted for him.”
“Aw thanks,” you said. “Max didn’t but um—I appreciate it.”
“He didn’t?”
“Nope,” you said. “Long story. How about you, how is work?”
“It’s good. So since he won, are you gonna move to DC?”
“Yeah.”
“Should be fun,” she said. “Listen, I know you barely know me but I know how stressful this whole thing can be, so if you need anything about the moving stuff, just let me know.”
“Thank you so much,” you said and she waved a hand in the air, then stepped in to hug you, the heavy perfume tickling the bridge of your nose, making you grimace.
That somehow smelled familiar—
Oh.
Oh, that motherfucker…
You could feel your jaw clench as the realization dawned on you, and she pulled back to smile at you.
“I shouldn’t keep you long, I’m sure you have so much to do,” she said. “But like I said, anything I can do, let me know.”
You gawked at her for a couple of seconds before you took a deep breath.
“Do you mind if I take you up on that offer now?”
“Sure thing!”
“Good. Can you tell me how long Max has been fucking you behind my back?”
That wiped the smile off her face, making her swallow thickly as a nervous laugh spilled from her lips.
“I don’t—I—” she stammered. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Yes you do,” you said, your voice calm despite the anger burning in your veins, and her chin trembled as if she was on the verge of tears. “Is that why you asked about DC? You think I’ll somehow get him back if I stay here?”
She didn’t answer, just stared at you with tears in her eyes and you scoffed a laugh.
“Unbelievable,” you murmured and shrugged your shoulders. “No need to worry, he’s all yours.”
“It wasn’t my intention to hurt you, I—”
“You can have him.” You managed to grin at her. “I mean it, Tessa. I don’t give a fuck about him. Enjoy your weekly five minutes of missionary while he watches the stock market on his phone beside your pillow.”
With that, you walked away from her, leaving her there dumbfounded.
                                           *
At this point, you were beginning to feel like this damn office had a hold on you with how you kept finding yourself in it, but you needed a place to hang out until you met with Caleb and Kelsey, so you figured you could do some more research on apartments in DC.
That wasn’t the surprising part. The surprising part was that when you walked in, Bucky’s office light was on and you could hear the shuffling coming from inside. You frowned and looked over your shoulder, then grabbed the nearest file and stepped closer to the office, holding the file over your head, ready to strike any potential burglars but stopped dead in your tracks when you saw Bucky in the office, staring at you like he could hear you coming from a mile away.
Which, he probably could.
“What are you doing?”
“What are you doing?” you asked back and he motioned at the office.
“Looking for the goddamn toy. Why are you holding a file?”
“I thought you were a burglar,” you said, lowering the file and Bucky tilted his head.
“You were going to beat the burglar with the clean energy draft meeting minutes?”
“I’m not open to constructive criticism after the day I had, Bucky,” you said and tossed the file on the couch. “Did you find the toy yet?”
“No.”
You furrowed your brows. “Aren’t you supposed to be good at this? You used to be a super soldier spy.”
“A super soldier assassin,” he corrected you. “Finding toys was not my expertise.”
You heaved a sigh, then went over to his drawer to pull it open, making him shake his head.
“I already checked there.”
“And your desk?”
“Yeah.”
You put your hands on your hips to look around the room, then pointed at the couch. “Here?”
“I lifted it, it’s not under it.”
You made your way to the couch to pull at the cushions, then stuck your hand between and felt around before your hand touched something plastic. You curled your fingers around it, pulled it back, and held the small figurine up, grinning at Bucky.
“There we go.”
“Thank you,” he said and you tossed it to him for him to catch it mid-air. He put it into his pocket, then leaned back to his desk.
“You okay?” he asked. “What are you doing here again?”
“I’ll just use the wifi and feel sorry for myself until Caleb and Kels pick me up. So don’t let me keep you.”
“Feeling sorry for yourself?” he repeated. “What happened?”
I hid under your desk from your girlfriend, heard about your sex life, bribed your cat with wet food and then found out my ex was cheating on me. Did you really say my name in your sleep?
That was not a good conversation starter.
“Just a bad day,” you muttered. “But hey, see you later—”
“I’m not letting you feel sorry for yourself all by yourself,” Bucky cut you off and you arched a brow.
“Bucky.”
“No way.”
“Don’t you have stuff to do?”
“It can wait,” he said and you heaved a sigh, then shrugged your shoulders.
“Fine,” you said. “Wanna pregame and raid Paul’s secret stash?”
“Paul has a secret stash?”
You let out a laugh, then wiggled your brows and walked out of his office with him following you.
                                                    *
Paul was an asshole but even you had to admit, he had good taste in booze.
“Is that crack on the ceiling new, or did I just not look at the ceiling the whole time I worked here?” you mused, your eyes fixed on the ceiling as you laid on the floor and Bucky took a swig of whiskey from the bottle, then held it out for you.
“It’s not new.”
“Really?” You sat up and leaned your back to the leg of your desk before taking a sip as well. “Interesting.”
“Birdie.”
“Hm?”
“What happened?” he asked softly and you pouted your lips, then took another sip.
“Do you remember Max?”
Bucky pulled his brows together.
“Your ex whom you broke up with just a month ago?” he asked. “The name does ring a bell.”
“Did you know he’s an asshole?”
“Yeah I did, funnily enough.”
You dragged your tongue over your teeth. “Today I found out he was cheating on me.”
 Bucky frowned. “What?”
“Remember the perfume?” you asked. “The girl he was cheating on me with, I ran into her today, she wears that perfume. That motherfucker gifted me the same perfume so that I wouldn’t notice when he showed up smelling like her.”
He gawked at you and you nodded your head.
“I know, right?”
“He is capable of planning all that?”
“Max can be very clever when it comes to his self-interest,” you said. “I was in a relationship with him for seven years, I—”
“Seven years?” Bucky cut you off and you shrugged your shoulders.
“Yeah.”
“Seven years and no ring?” he asked as if he wanted to make sure and you tilted your head, a huff of laughter escaping you.
“Why hello, senior citizen from Greatest Generation,” you taunted him. “Things work a bit differently nowadays.”
“In my day, seven months was too much.”
“I once spent seven months trying to pick a sofa,” you replied. “That’s not gonna happen. And to repeat, different century.”
Bucky took the bottle to take a sip, then put it down.
“Wait, did you say you ran into the girl?”
“Mm hm,” you said. “And you know what’s weird? I’m not even angry at her, I feel sorry for her.”
“How’s that?”
“Max was—well, he was obviously my first actual serious relationship,” you said. “So now that I think about it, now that I’m not in it, I can see that a lot of things in that relationship were designed to make him feel good and not me. He even—” You let out a laugh. “Okay, I am about to spill a sex secret that will be very traumatizing for your generation, you ready?”
Bucky motioned for you to wait for a second, took another sip of whiskey and nodded at you.
“Yeah, go.”
“You thought I was weird for checking my emails right after sex, right?”
“That is very weird.”
“Listen to this; Max and I would only have sex for five minutes because that was the most he could stay away from work,” you said. “And during those five minutes, his phone would be right beside my pillow so that he could check his investments and see if something was up with work.”
He blinked a couple of times, staring at you.
“One time,” you said and sipped the whiskey. “One time, while his phone was charging, he started a chronometer on his smartwatch so that he could make sure it’d be five minutes—Bucky, you should see your face, you look more traumatized than I was and I actually lived it.”
“Tell me you’re joking,” he managed to say and you shook your head.
“Nope.”
“I can beat this guy up.”
“No.”
“Please let me beat this guy up.”
“No.”
“Birdie—”
“I don’t give a fuck about him, I just can’t believe he made me do all that and then went behind my back and did that. Like what, additional five minutes in a supply closet or something?”
“And you were in love with this prick for seven years?” he asked, dumbfounded, and you grimaced.
“Of course I wasn’t.”
That made his head shoot up and he stared at you in complete silence for a couple of seconds, then licked his lips.
“You told me…” he trailed off, a bitter smile twitching his mouth like he couldn’t wrap his mind around the idea. “You told me you were in love with him.”
“That, my friend, is called overcompensating,” you stated. “I figured if I convinced people, I could convince myself. Funny how it doesn’t work like that.”
He ran a hand over his face, his jaw tightening.
“We were though, at first,” you said. “But I mean, who knows? Maybe it never was good and he was a selfish cheating asshole and I didn’t see it. I don’t know.”
He dropped his head back with a soft thud against the desk, letting out an exasperated breath.
 “For God’s sake, Birdie.”
“And I am not even sad that I broke up with him, I’m just sad that—” You nibbled on your lip, then slid a little on the ground with a huff. “It was easier to ignore it when I was with Max.”
“Ignore what?” Bucky asked and you dug the heels of your palms on your eyes like it could help push back the tears, then dropped your hands.
“I have this voice in my head,” you rasped out. “All the time.”
Bucky’s gaze on you was almost too hot. “What does it say?”
“That…” It felt like you were swallowing coals. “That it’s too difficult. To love me. That—that no one will fall in love with me.”
A stunned silence fell upon the office. Out of the corner of your eye, you could see the confusion on Bucky’s face like he couldn’t tell whether you were serious or not, but realization dawned on him after a couple of seconds, making him exhale. You could still feel his piercing blue eyes on you, but you made yourself busy with peeling the label off the whiskey bottle, sniffling.
His voice was low when he spoke: “I’ve got bad news for that voice.”
You raised your brows, still busy with the label. “Oh yeah?”
“Yeah,” he said. “Someone will kill it one day.”
That made you huff out a laugh and you rubbed at your eye with the back of your hand before turning to see him watching you with a fond light in his gaze. You scrunched up your nose, then held out your pinky, coaxing a chuckle out of him before he reached out to hook his pinky with yours, a warmth spreading from your hand to your whole body.
“Someone will kill it like an assassin,” you said, determination laced in your tone as you stuck your nose in the air and he gave you a soft smile.
“Someone will kill it,” he repeated. “Like an assassin.”
It felt physically impossible to look away from his handsome face, and you could feel your heartbeat getting faster, but before you could say anything he frowned and turned his head like he—
“Birdie? You here?”
Of course Bucky had heard Caleb before you.
You slowly pulled your hand back and cleared your throat, trying to pull yourself together as you stood up.
“Paul’s office!”
Caleb’s footsteps came closer before he peeked his head in.
“Hey,” he said, his eyes darting between you two as Bucky stood up as well. “Kels is outside. Bucky, are you joining us? We’re gonna do shots.”
Bucky shook his head.
“I’m gonna go home, but you guys have fun.” He stole a look at you. “And be safe please?”
“Always am,” you said with a small smile and followed Caleb out of the office, then both of you stepped outside to approach Kelsey.
“Did I interrupt something?” Caleb teased you, making Kelsey raise her brows.
“What’s going on?”
“She was drinking whiskey with Bucky in the office.”
Kelsey’s jaw dropped. “What?”
“Anything you’d like to share with the class, Birdie?”
“Oh, not much,” you said as you started walking with them rushing to catch up with you. “Today I found out I have been cheated on, that Hazel hates me and asked Bucky to fire me and that apparently, Bucky is perfect in bed. But hey, how was your day?”

insatiable | spencer reid x reader
Spencer learns how amazing sex is with you, but gets caught up with work. You show your boyfriend how good it can feel even if you’re not together physically, and he shows you how much he misses you when he gets back.
part 1 - addicted to you | part 2
Tumblr media
wc: 4.6k, rating: 18+/explicit
tags/warnings: established relationship, phone sex/video sex, mutual masturbation, public (bathroom) sex, brief mentions of typical BAU stuff (not in detail), meeting the family (literally reader meets the BAU), brief mentions of alcohol, making out, vaginal sex, getting caught (not in the act but afterward lmao)
a/n: this is what an insane person does when they're sick for two days and have nothing better to do over the summer. this is a second part to addicted to you (you don't have to read the first part but it does provide some context for some details within the fic), with inspiration taken from a lovely comment I got on ao3 that made me feel kinda crazy. i included some textfic elements in this fic as well which i hope reads well (bold text is spencer)! also I know early seasons spencer technically sets this around 2005-2007 but they have smartphones and video calling (aka present day) so please suspend your disbelief for the length of this fic lmao (p.s this fic is also on ao3!)
Your boyfriend gets whisked away for work sooner than you expect. Spencer’s supposed to have time off the rest of this week, but you suppose killers aren’t exactly respectful of an FBI agent’s time off of work. It’s downright cruel when he’s called in to work on a Friday evening, when you have dinner and wine set at the table, having gotten ready to spend a quiet, romantic evening in with Spencer.
“I’m so sorry,” he says, rushing to change out of his sweatshirt and joggers into his typical work attire. You stand in the doorway of his room, mildly amused while Spencer panics to put an outfit together. “I know you had a whole evening in planned, but–”
“Don’t be, baby,” you assure him. “You have a killer to catch. Oh, that one– the blue cardigan looks good with those pants. It matches your socks.”
Spencer smiles as he looks up at you, reaching for the navy blue cardigan to his left. He tugs it on rather hurriedly, comes up to you and presses a kiss to your forehead. “You’re the best. I’ll make it up to you, I promise.”
You shake your head. “Just find the bastard quick and come home to me.”
“I know. I will,” Spencer says.
After the both of you found out just how much Spencer liked fucking you, you were really hoping that your weekend together could be spent in his bed, but duty calls. Technically, JJ had called him in, but you’re not concerned about specifics right now.
You spend the evening alone in Spencer’s apartment, half of the wine finished and his TV playing reruns of some show you haven’t been paying attention to. Your eyelids feel heavy, and Spencer’s bed is so comfortable you can’t bring yourself to leave it. That is, until your phone buzzes on Spencer’s nightstand, and you’re suddenly very alert.
I miss you, darling. > hey, i’m surprised you have the down time to text. i miss you too I’m really sorry I had to leave so suddenly. We’re on the jet right now.  > i told you it’s okay! i’m surprised the jet has wifi lol Taxpayer money, I guess? We land in LA in a couple of hours and we’re heading straight to the PD to work on the case. > my poor boyfriend is working so hard instead of cuddling me in bed :( How you tempt me, lovely. I’ll be back as soon as I can. Are you going to sleep soon? It’s late. > yeah i’m staying at yours for the night and maybe until you get back? really miss you already Okay, that’s good. I know. I’ll call when I’m in the hotel and settled for the day? :-( > yes please. also stop sending emojis with noses they aren’t supposed to look like that!!! They aren’t anatomically correct without them. The way you send them > babe they’re emojis it’s ok if they’re not anatomically correct Hahaha I love you. > lol i love you too! Goodnight, love. > goodnight spence <3 <3
You can imagine, especially from the way Spencer recounts it, how his coworker Derek must be teasing him about smiling at his phone, about how pretty boy’s lucky lady must be one hell of a woman to get Spencer so smitten.
You would say you’re rather independent, especially in relationships, but Spencer has you acting like a clingy girlfriend. You can’t help but feel an ache in your chest as you long for him while he’s away, feeling like a military wife whose husband is out instead of being normal. To be fair, being with Spencer has never been “normal” – he always has something interesting up his sleeve, or some quirk that makes you even more enamoured with him.
Your Saturday is relatively uneventful, milling about Spencer’s apartment. You laze around in bed for way too long, enough where Spencer would’ve definitely hauled you out of bed himself an hour ago if he were here. You make yourself breakfast, unsurprised that Spencer only has cereal in his pantry and almond milk in his fridge. You sit down with one of his very sophisticated literature books but you don’t get very far with it, and opt to clean Spencer’s apartment instead.
It’s when you’re sweeping the floor that you realise just how much you like Spencer, feeling so strongly attached to him already. You’ve said your ‘I love you’s, given him his firsts. You were staying in his apartment even while he was away– hell, you’re even cleaning his apartment for him.
Just for a moment, you let yourself fantasise about this being your apartment – yours and Spencer’s; about waking up to him every morning, about making breakfast for the both of you that isn’t cereal and almond milk, about coming home to each other instead of an empty apartment.
You sigh and get back to cleaning.
You’re settled into his bed, surrounded by the comforting scent of him when Spencer finally does call. You almost drop your phone in your excitement to pick up.
“Hey! Hi, Spence,” you say, unable to help the smile that’s forming on your face.
“Hello, love,” Spencer answers. He sounds a little tired. You can imagine the little furrow in his brow, obviously exhausted and dissatisfied from a full day’s work of catching some bastard in LA, and you wish you could be there to kiss his frown away. “I miss you.”
“I miss you too, Spencer. Long day?”
“Absolutely,” Spencer sighs tiredly. “This UnSub is so slippery. No convictions, no paper trail, nothing, and he’s killing every other–” Spencer starts to ramble but he catches himself. “Sorry. I won’t talk about work right now. It’s pretty grim.”
“It’s okay,” you hum. “Do you want to talk about work right now?”
Spencer makes a little noise. “No, no. I don’t want to bring that to you. Let’s talk about you. How are you, honey?”
Honey. The name makes your insides feel all gooey, soft and warm and lovely. “I’m- I’m okay. I stayed at your place, cleaned up around here. I’m thankful it’s not as much of a man cave as I thought.”
Spencer laughs through the phone, a breathy chuckle. “Thank you for cleaning up for me, love. It’s just a lot of nerdy stuff, huh?”
“Yeah. It’s endearing. I tried to read one of your books earlier and could barely get past the first ten pages.” You tell him, garnering another chuckle from Spencer. “I like your place a lot.”
“I miss you,” Spencer says again. “Waking up to you and having you around is so much nicer than this dingy hotel room I’m in.”
“Aw. Taxpayer money couldn’t upgrade you to a better room?”
Spencer snorts. “No, but I lucked out on getting the room all to myself.”
There’s a pause as you figure out what to say, and Spencer is quick to follow up, “I didn’t mean–”
“Does this have something to do with you missing me, baby?” You can’t help but grin. Spencer makes a distressed little noise over the line.
“Well, I– Maybe, but we don’t have to–” Spencer stammers, unable to find the words. He’s absolutely adorable.
“I want to, Spence,” you coo. “I miss you so much.”
You hear Spencer exhale shakily. “What– What do I do?”
“A genius like you hasn’t forgotten how to touch himself, has he?” you tease, Spencer whining on the other end at your words. “Does that eidetic memory of yours come with an overactive imagination too?”
“Surprisingly, no. Hyperphantasia is more of being able to visualise different types of situations in one’s mind, and that’s what usually is associated with an overactive imagination. Having an eidetic memory is more about high-precision recall after seeing something even just once. I think having an eidetic memory pretty much ensures you don’t have aphantasia, or the inability to see and create mental images, but yeah.”
Ah, even his nerdy ramblings turn you on.
“So does that mean you can recall the way I looked in bed a few nights ago?” you prod, and you wish you could see how red Spencer must be by now.
“Well, yes. Of course I can. How could I ever forget how beautiful you looked then?” Spencer’s words are sweet, earnest, and you melt.
“Then picture that,” you barely get the words out because you’re so smitten. “Imagine I’m right there with you, Spencer.”
You hear the rustling of the sheets, and Spencer’s little telltale whine as he wraps his hand around himself. “O-Oh–”
“I miss you, Spence,” you drawl. “Miss the way your cock fits inside me. You miss my tight cunt, baby?”
“Your mouth is filthy,” Spencer laughs breathily. “But yeah, I do. You always feel so good around me.”
“You’re touching yourself, yeah?” you ask. You get a little whine from him as an affirmative, but your imagination is running wild – you want to see him. “Can you show me?”
“Yeah, I just– Do you wanna switch it over to a video call? I can’t–”
You laugh at your boyfriend’s lack of technical prowess, tapping at your phone screen until the top half of his face comes up. “Hey, I’m just trying to find a good angle–”
“Don’t just flip the camera and show me your dick, please. That would be so unsexy.” You say.
Spencer furrows his brows. “I was not planning on doing that, for the record.”
You watch the phone move until Spencer comes into frame, the phone likely propped up at the foot of the bed and exposing all of Spencer to you. You might be drooling right now.
“This is… a lot,” Spencer laughs nervously. “I feel so naked.”
“You’re mostly clothed,” you quip.
“Ha ha,” Spencer laughs dryly. “I’ve just… I’ve never done this before.”
“Phone sex? Or calling your girlfriend so you can jerk off for her?”
Spencer gives you a deadpan look. “Both, honey.”
You grin. “I’m glad to be your first. Now, show me how you make yourself feel good, baby.”
Spencer’s cheeks are a gorgeous rosy red when he takes his cock into his hand again, his tip leaking as he strokes himself slowly. With his eyes fluttering shut, Spencer’s lips part as he indulges himself in his pleasure. Like this, you indulge yourself in admiring all of Spencer – the flush on his cheeks that runs down to his neck, his breathy panting as he touches himself to the thought of you.
“Spence,” you sigh. “You’re so pretty.”
His eyes shutter open as he looks at you, somehow even redder than he already was. “You’re the pretty one, darling. Are you– Will you touch yourself for me?”
You hold back your moan as you nod. You were already in your underwear when you had slid into Spencer’s bed, but now all it takes is you sliding your fingers past the waistband to feel how wet you already are between your legs. “Oh, Spence.”
“Do you feel good, love?” he hums, voice only a little bit strained from his immense pleasure.
The embarrassingly loud squelch that results when you sink your fingers into yourself is enough of an answer. Spencer grins, and you’re red in the face as you rock your hips down onto your own fingers. “Shut up.”
“I didn’t say anything, honey,” Spencer laughs. “But I wish I could feel you right now.”
“I know, I miss the way you feel inside me,” you pant. “Please, Spencer–”
“Take off your underwear,” Spencer’s voice is breathy as he pleads with you. “I want to see you.”
You prop your phone up so your angle matches Spencer’s, both of you on full display for each other. You watch the way Spencer’s eyes widen when you slide your panties off, the way his eyes are trained on your figure through the screen. He says, “You’re so wet…”
“All for you, baby,” you sigh, leaning back as you slide two fingers back into yourself. You scissor them rather hastily, craving the hurried way Spencer fucks you. “It’s not the same without you here.”
“I know,” Spencer hums. “You look so good like that. I wish I could make you feel good right now.”
You moan, pushing your fingers into yourself deeper, barely hitting where Spencer reaches easily. The squelch from between your legs is obscene. “You do, baby. You’re making me feel so good, just thinking about you.”
In practically a whisper, Spencer admits, “I want to fuck you so bad right now.”
You let out a weak cry, impossibly turned on by your boyfriend’s filthy admission because you didn’t even think he had it in him to say it so bluntly. You slide your fingers in and out hurriedly, your palm giving you the friction on your clit that you crave so desperately. “Spencer–”
Spencer lets out a strangled cry, muffled behind his hand, when he comes. It’s sudden, Spencer’s load painting the soft skin of his stomach, his cock twitching. You moan as you follow suit, wetness drenching your hand as you ride out your own orgasm, imagining his cock inside of you.
“Oh, fuck.” Spencer gasps, head thrown back as you watch his chest rise and fall as he breathes heavily. His forehead and neck are covered in a light sheen of sweat, and his cock out against the rest of his rather soft, innocent looking outfit is making you giggle just a little.
“You look really hot right now,” you say instead, wishing you could be laying next to him while he recovers.
“I think I should be saying that about you,” Spencer laughs. “You’re gorgeous. You’re so stunning.”
“How long are you going to be away?” You pout. “I like it when I can actually kiss you after you compliment me.”
Spencer smiles sympathetically. “I’ll be back soon, my love.”
“I’ll take phone sex with my boyfriend as a consolation, then.” You wink, making Spencer laugh.
“Remind me not to get too loud, though. I think Emily is in the room next to me and I really hope these walls are thick enough.” He says, sounding vaguely concerned.
You laugh, and stay on the line a little longer just to relish in a peaceful moment with Spencer.
The next day, when you’re out getting groceries to stock up Spencer’s fridge, you get a text from Spencer.
I don’t know how much Emily heard last night, but she’s been looking at me funny all morning. > lol oops? If we call again tonight, we might have to keep it down.  > if? not when? :) I love you so much. > i know and i love you too :) and you should probably apologise to emily about last night Well, if we’re calling again tonight then maybe I should just give her one big apology when all of this is over. > good idea. now go catch your killer so we can go back to having sex irl Okay!
Unfortunately, Spencer gets too busy to call you again that night, the team working overtime to catch their UnSub, whose kills were escalating exponentially. You don’t find yourself bothered by it, by Spencer disappearing for the night with nothing more than a message sent your way, instead relishing in the fact that it’ll feel even more rewarding when he comes home.
You’ve never felt this way before, craving Spencer so desperately while he’s away at work. While you’ve only been together a couple of months, you respect that Spencer’s work takes up a lot of his time. It doesn’t mean you don’t miss him, though, as much as you enjoy your alone time.
All of the team’s hard work pays off, though, because they’re storming into the UnSub’s lair by Monday afternoon, and Spencer texts you when you’re just clocking out of the office.
Great news! We caught the guy. We’re packing up at the PD and coming home soon. > omg!!! that’s so great The team wants to go out for celebratory drinks.  > you should totally go ahead and celebrate with them spence! you guys worked your asses off on this case We did. But I’m telling you because I want you to join us. I want you to meet the team too.  > oh? i would love to but are you sure they want me there? Of course, sweet girl. Derek wants to know who has me smiling at my phone half the time, and Emily is asking who I’m calling in the middle of the night. > omg so she did hear you … I think so, love. > … i will apologise to her tonight then I’ll send you the address. Love you > love you too spence <3
There’s just enough time for you to get home and change into a nice outfit – a tight, red dress that hits your mid-thigh, your hair curled and your makeup touched-up before you head to the bar Spencer’s sent you the address to. While you know Spencer’s team is lovely, you do want to make a good first impression.
You see Spencer’s gangly form at the bar when you get there, the rest of his team facing away from you as they get their drinks. You see Spencer’s face brighten as he spots you, raising his hand and waving to you excitedly. The rest of his team notices, and turns to look at you too. You would be shy at all the attention, but Spencer’s unabashed adoration of you, especially in front of all his friends, is giving you more than enough confidence to walk up to the group.
“Hello,” you smile, and the warmth you feel from the team makes you feel welcome already. “It’s nice to meet you all.”
You shake hands with Hotch and Rossi as you introduce yourself. While you had heard of Hotch as a rather cold, serious Unit Chief, the way he warmly smiles at you makes you feel at ease. “So, you’re Spencer’s girlfriend. It’s great to finally meet you.”
“It’s great to meet you too, sir,” you answer rather instinctively, making both Rossi and Hotch laugh heartily.
“Aaron might be Reid’s boss, but he certainly isn’t yours,” Rossi chuckles.
Before you can feel embarrassed by it, you get pulled into a tight, warm hug by Penelope, and when she lets you go, JJ hands you a drink, and Derek and Emily are regarding you with knowing smirks.
“Reid, you are one lucky man,” Derek says, after pulling you into a welcoming hug. “Don’t mess this up, lover boy.”
“I know,” Spencer says, his hand reaching for yours. You lace your fingers with Spencer’s, squeezing his hand comfortingly. “And I won’t mess this up.”
“Lover boy is right, considering what I overheard the other night,” Emily says, looking at you and Spencer pointedly. JJ also has a knowing smile on her face, and you feel your cheeks get hot.
“I’m really sorry about that, Emily,” you smile sheepishly. “I hope Spencer’s apologised for it too.”
“Again, I’m sorry you had to hear that,” Spencer says, purposefully avoiding eye contact with Emily. “I would say ‘We won’t do it again’, but…”
You shriek amidst the laughter of Spencer’s coworkers, Spencer laughing along as he holds onto your waist. You feel adored, so readily welcomed by Spencer’s friends, and you feel like you belong, by Spencer’s side.
After you chat with the rest of the team for a little more, they eventually disperse to do their own things, leaving you and Spencer alone. Spencer looks at you with such adoration in his eyes and you feel like you’re going to melt. “Hi,” he says warmly.
“Hi, Spence,” you say. “I missed you.”
“I missed you too,” Spencer smiles. “But I’m here now.”
“You are,” you breathe, giddy with excitement, and lean in to kiss him. It’s a quick peck, but Spencer pulls you back in like you’re the air he needs to breathe. He kisses you deep, eager, pouring every drop of himself into you. His hands cup your face sweetly, kissing you until you feel breathless.
“Oh my God, Spencer,” you giggle when he finally pulls back, eyes wild as he regards you. “You really missed me, huh?”
“You have no idea,” Spencer laughs.
“Do we need to pretend to keep our hands off each other or do you just want to go and make out in the bathroom?” You say simply. You don’t expect Spencer to be down, considering how quickly he’d rattle off the statistics about the germs in a public bathroom, but Spencer smiles at you and pulls you toward the single stall.
You’re thankful it’s a relatively big, clean-looking single stall bathroom, Spencer locking the door behind you as you lean back against the sink. Spencer’s taller figure crowds you in with ease, and you feel swallowed up by him as he kisses you again. He’s desperate, eager as his tongue slips into your mouth, his little noises so deliciously sinful as you kiss him back.
“Spence–” you gasp, in between kissing Spencer back. “Oh, baby–”
“What we did over the phone wasn’t enough,” he murmurs, eyes unblinking as he gazes at you. “I need you right now.”
Sure enough, Spencer’s hard in his pants. He pushes his hips forward, pressing his erection against your thigh. You whimper, drawing your lower lip between your teeth. “Please, Spence. You can take me right here, right now.”
You feel just as desperate as Spencer seems, his hands eager as they roam up your body. He’s eager to touch and squeeze and grope whatever he can get his hands on, and you relish in the way his large, sturdy hands grab your thighs, your waist, your breasts.
“You look so good tonight, my love,” Spencer grunts as he presses his face to your neck, his lips kissing up the column of your neck hurriedly. “So gorgeous. Letting me show you off to all my friends too– Thank you, you’re so perfect–”
“Spencer,” you gasp, hand sliding down to rub at his hard-on. You’re so turned on by how aroused Spencer is already, from just kissing you, from just touching you. “Fuck me, please?”
Spencer exhales shakily, lifting you up slightly so you can sit back on the countertop, your legs spread to accommodate Spencer between them. You’re soaked through your underwear, and you watch Spencer marvel at the sight. His hands are shaking slightly as he undoes his belt, pushing his pants down just enough to get his cock out. He’s hard and heavy and leaking, and you find yourself drooling as he strokes himself momentarily.
Spencer’s biting his lower lip in utter concentration, pushing your dress up and out of the way. You expect his hands to slide your panties off, but instead his fingers push the fabric aside, revealing your slick, wet entrance that he presses the head of his cock to. “Oh–”
“Like this,” Spencer says, breathless, his sentence not even fully coherent but you understand, especially when Spencer pushes the tip of his cock into you. You muffle a sob into your hand, feeling so on edge as you accommodate Spencer’s length.
The burn is perfect, the slow drag of his cock inside of you teetering between pain and pleasure. It’s a primal urge the both of you desperately need to fulfil, and the way he presses into you satiates you so perfectly. Your arms slung around Spencer’s neck, you cry out weakly as he rocks his hips into you, already brutal and hurried with the pace.
You’ve never felt this undone, so desperate that you’d let yourself get fucked in a bathroom stall. You barely have any alcohol in your system, for you to feel reckless enough to do something like this. Hell, Spencer hadn’t even taken your panties off before he’d started fucking you. The fact that prim and proper Spencer of all people is making you like this makes your head spin.
“Oh, fuck, baby,” you whimper into his shoulder. “So good, Spence, oh–”
“You feel so good,” Spencer groans, hips stuttering as he tells you just that. “You’re so perfect. I love you.”
“I love you so much,” you hiccup, feeling Spencer drill into you, the muffled slap of his thrusts hitting the back of your thighs. You’re so overwhelmed, pleasure zipping through you from the top of your head to the tips of your toes, as Spencer fucks you like you’re the only person in the world that matters right now.
“I’m close,” Spencer gasps, pace growing uneven, hurried, as he chases his pleasure while trying so hard to make you feel good too. “Please, I–”
You cry out as your orgasm hits you, too sudden, too quick. You clench around Spencer as your body shakes, Spencer fucking you through it with desperation. You don’t expect to come so quickly, but you suppose missing Spencer has an effect on you.
You squelch obscenely with your release as Spencer continues to fuck you, needy and hurried, moaning in your ear as he stumbles into his orgasm too, wracking through his body like he has no control over it. You feel his load spill inside of you, hot and messy, his hands trembling as his thrusts slow.
“Oh, fuck,” you say, laughing slightly. “Holy shit, Spencer. We just had sex in a public bathroom, this is crazy.”
“We just had sex in a public bathroom,” Spencer echoes, sounding mildly panicked. “Oh, my God.”
“It was very fucking hot.” You assure him, holding his face in your hands to look him in the eyes, stopping him from overthinking. “But we should probably go home, because I’m a fucking mess between my legs right now.”
“I might need to take a shower,” Spencer says, his voice wavering slightly. “The sink is technically the most germ-ridden surface in a public bathroom, the damp environment makes it a–”
“Spencer, I love you so much, but for your sake and mine, let’s not talk about germs right now.” You shudder at the thought. “I think I need to take a shower after that too.”
“Let me clean you up, and we can go home.” Spencer, despite his germ anxieties, is rather sweet in cleaning you up. Your panties are ruined with fluids, and you’re starting to feel Spencer’s load trickling out of you when you stand back up, but you relish in the fact that you’re going to be back at his apartment soon enough.
(The fact that Spencer hadn’t corrected you when you called his place home, makes your heart sing.)
You clean up your makeup and make your hair look as presentable as it can be, especially after your boyfriend has literally fucked you in a public bathroom, and when you both look presentable enough, you try to slip out of the bathroom casually.
Unfortunately, Derek and Emily are right there, catching you in the act of leaving, obviously noting the way you and Spencer look absolutely dishevelled.
Derek raises his eyebrows, grinning. “Damn, lover boy.”
“Shut up,” Spencer retaliates weakly, his voice slightly shaky.
“We’re heading home first,” you say with all the confidence you can muster, trying very hard not to feel extremely embarrassed in front of Spencer’s very smug friends. You’re still holding Spencer’s hand, and you feel a little less afraid. “It was fun getting to meet you guys.”
Emily shakes her head playfully, smiling. “We’d love to hang out more with you another time. Maybe when Reid isn’t so desperate to get alone with you?”
Spencer makes a displeased noise, but you smile and nod at her. “Definitely.”
Derek and Emily let you slip out of the bar without saying much else, and you hope that the rest of Spencer’s team doesn’t hear about it.
As you and Spencer step out of the bar and into the cool, evening air, you kiss his cheek once more. “I love you. Now, let’s get home so we can shower. And then we can have sex again in the comfort of your bed?”
Spencer grins, any earlier embarrassment seeming to melt away. “That sounds perfect. God, I love you.”

diva
nerd!gojo loves his absolute diva of a girlfriend.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
there were a lot of things satoru gojo didn’t understand.
why his professor insisted on giving 7 a.m. lectures when good sleep was scientifically proven to improve cognitive function. why the wifi crashed every time he needed to upload his lab reports. why textbooks cost more than his monthly rent.
but the one thing he understood better than anything? he was in love with his girlfriend. dramatic, high-maintenance, lip gloss shining at 8am, the whole thing was tiring sometimes, sure. but you were his lifeline, his escape.
and what surprised him the most was how much he loved the little, mundane stuff. the small rituals. the shared routines that stitched your days together.
he liked meeting you outside your psych class, where you'd always emerged with a dramatic sigh like the lecture had emotionally wounded you. “he used brain rot memes on the slides, satoru. i can’t keep doing this.” you'd say that, every time, and he’d laugh like it was the first time you'd ever said it.
he especially liked your aesthetic, full-on mcbling throwback fantasy. pink velour, rhinestoned phone cases, bedazzled hair clips, juicy sweats like it was 2004 and you were the star of your own teen drama. you looked like a fever dream from a y2k music video, and he was obsessed. the lip gloss, the glitter, the low-rise jeans with butterfly charms. it all should’ve been too much. but on you? it was perfect.
“you look like a bratz doll,” he told you once, eyes wide like he couldn’t believe you were real. “and i’d die for every version of you.”
you just blew him a kiss and said, “good. you’re supposed to.”
he liked when the two of you grabbed coffee between classes. you ordered like you were reciting a poem—iced vanilla oat milk latte, one pump caramel, light ice, no cold foam. he never even looked at the menu anymore. you'd sip yours and hum in approval while he nursed a plain black coffee like the boring nerd he was. you always wrinkled your nose at it. “you drink that voluntarily? for what? character development?”
he liked when you studied in the library together. you never lasted more than twenty minutes without complaining. “why is econ just… numbers pretending to have feelings? such a drag.” you'd whine, head resting dramatically on his shoulder, perfume hitting him like a truck. he pretended to be annoyed, but secretly, he loved when you did that—like he was her safe little island in a sea of boring lectures and broken printers.
he liked how you always dragged him around like a personal pet. pulling him into stores as you judged products you knew you were never going to buy. “should i get this ‘girlboss’ notebook?” you asked once. “cant tell if it's empowering or a hate crime.” he still didn’t know what that meant, but you looked cute holding it.
he liked the late-night walks after study sessions. you always wore those fuzzy slippers that weren’t meant for outdoors, but insisted they were “serving.” the two of you would walk under the string lights strung across the quad, your perfectly managed hand in his, talking about nothing and everything—professors the both of you hated, dumb memes, the little thoughts you had. "y'know toru, having a hot nerd like you on my arm makes me look 100 times more cunty."
and he especially liked when you'd pull him into empty stairwells just to kiss him, pulling him down to your height and shoving your tongue down his throat as you teasingly grinded your hips against his crotch in a passionate exchange. your lip gloss sticking to his mouth like a brand. “to keep you focused,” she’d tease, before strutting off like she hadn’t just short-circuited his entire brain, he was now faced with a problem in his pants.
it wasn’t just the big gestures or grand declarations that made him love you. it was the daily stuff—the little, ordinary routines that you made feel magical, chaotic, and unmistakably yours.
he didn’t need roses or fireworks.
he had oat milk lattes, sarcastic one-liners, stolen kisses between classes, and you.
and that was more than enough.

Could you do something about the Blue Lock Boys with a girlfriend who practices a sport like Muay Thai or boxing professionally and is quite famous for dragging her opponents? 💘
“𝐊𝐎: 𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐚 𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝”
Tumblr media
a/n: get em girl boss
ft. itoshi rin, itoshi sae, isagi yoichi, nagi seishiro, mikage reo, kaiser michael, karasu tabito, bachira meguru, shidou ryusei
itoshi rin
silently obsessed. he never says anything, but you catch him rewinding your fight clips with laser focus like he’s decoding national secrets.
“your weight distribution was off by 3% in round two.” bro how do you even know that?
secretly has your “top 10 verbal takedowns” saved to his phone. watches them when he needs cheering up.
he’s not impressed when you trash talk. he’s turned on.
you call someone “a wet mop with delusions” and he just raises an eyebrow like, hot.
refuses to sit in the VIP section, instead sits in the back so no one sees how fast he’s clapping when you land a KO.
“that punch was sloppy.” five minutes later in private: “... you looked good though.”
itoshi sae
you could be dragging your opponent across the ring by their hair and sae would still be in the front row sipping iced coffee like it’s a spa day.
literally unfazed. she’s choking someone? cool. what’s for dinner?
sometimes you don’t even notice he’s there until he shows up behind you post-match like, “hey. you’re bleeding. want tacos?”
thinks your trash talk is theatrical brilliance.
“she said ‘i’m gonna turn you into a cautionary tale’ and then actually did. love that for her.”
got banned from interviews because he kept answering on your behalf. “how do you feel about the win?” “she’s hungry. move.”
you're punching people, he's posting “date night ❤️” selfies.
isagi yoichi
isagi fell for your smile. the public fell for your fists.
he watches your matches like he’s witnessing a crime. jaw clenched, eyes wide, muttering prayers like a soccer mom watching an MMA bloodbath.
you’re standing over your KO’d opponent, shouting, “tell your coach to pick better fighters,” and he’s clapping like “yay baby good sportsmanship 👍”
pre-fight: “good luck, you got this ❤️”
post-fight: googling how to hide a body because you just ended someone's career.
once tried to “trash talk” your rival to hype you up and said, “you’re gonna get dropped so hard, your sponsors are gonna ghost you. better hope your wifi connection is stronger than your jaw.”
kisses your bruised knuckles gently like you’re a porcelain doll, not the reason three people retired early.
nagi seishiro
doesn’t understand anything about boxing but calls you “champ” with his whole chest.
falls asleep watching your replays. wakes up like, “oh nice punch babe.”
once live-tweeted your match with absolutely zero context: “she kicked someone. she’s mad. i want a sandwich.”
wore your merch to your match, but accidentally put it on backwards.
lets you practice moves on him but flops like a ragdoll after one jab. “ugh too hard. let me lay here. i’m your emotional support floor.”
told the team your pre-fight stare “felt like being hunted by a hot panther.”
thinks your trash talk is poetry. “you said she hits like a toddler with pool noodles? iconic.”
mikage reo
you’re the fists, he’s the PR team. this man markets your violence like a startup.
“she punches, she profits, she slays. watch the brand grow.”
always wearing your custom gloves around his neck like a necklace. people think he boxes, too. he does not.
posts ringside selfies with captions like: “date night 🥰✨ (she sent someone to the ER xoxo)”
gets personally offended when your opponent breathes in your direction.
“did she just look at you funny? okay, but WHO gave her that right.”
hands out business cards that say “a maneater’s boyfriend 💋”
has your catchphrases trademarked. yes, even the one where you threatened to turn someone’s ribs into origami.
kaiser michael
somehow thinks your fights are about him.
“she wins because she’s inspired by my greatness.” kaiser pls.
stands ringside with his arms crossed and a smirk like he’s the final boss of the match.
you said “i’m gonna fold her like a beach chair” and he printed it on a hoodie. wears it proudly.
reporters: “kaiser, are you afraid of your girlfriend’s aggression?”
kaiser: “afraid? i fuel it.”
makes you couple’s merch that says “she hits / he hollas”
once kissed you mid-match. literally interrupted the referee. said it was “good luck.” you still won.
karasu tabito
you flame someone during weigh-ins and he’s behind you whispering, “YEAH. GET HER ASS.”
follows your rival’s private account on twitter just to “hate more efficiently.”
“i’m not petty. i’m supportive.”
once shouted “THAT’S MY GIRLFRIEND!!!” when you dislocated someone’s shoulder.
analyzes your fights like a reality show. “did you see her face when you landed that hook? chef’s kiss.”
lets you demonstrate chokeholds on him just so he can say, “yeah, she does this to me at home, too.”
acts scared around you for fun. “i told her i forgot to do the dishes and she did a spinning elbow. i think i blacked out. she’s so cute.”
bachira meguru
paints your face on a flag. brings it to every match.
screams “GET HER, BABE! TURN HER INTO A HUMAN PRETZEL!!” from the sidelines.
once tried to jump into the ring mid-fight because “your foot looked lonely. i wanted to help.”
you: death glares your opponent pre-match.
bachira: “aw she’s so pretty when she’s homicidal 🥰”
makes you fan edits that go viral.
also made one of your KO punches into a meme template. it’s now used in sports arguments across the internet.
your opponent: “you suck.”
bachira, holding up a glitter sign: “say that again but louder so everyone can hear my girlfriend crack your jaw.”
shidou ryusei
lives for the chaos. you throw one punch and he’s tearing his shirt off in the stands.
“THAT’S MY GIRL!!! KICK HER IN THE TEETH!!!”
got banned from five venues for excessive screaming. wears it like a badge of honor.
tried to propose mid-fight once. while you were punching someone.
rewatches your KO clips with suspicious enthusiasm. “look at that form. look at that power. i’m so in love with her violence.”
also calls you pet names like “bloodthirsty babe” and “my precious little war crime.”
100% believes you could take him in a fight. wants you to prove it.

(un)necessary extras to script p.2!
Tumblr media
#01~ Your size is always in stock when you buy clothes. You don't have to search through racks, or be disappointed: the perfect size is always waiting for you.
#02~ When listening to music on shuffle, your playlist always seems to know exactly what song you need to hear next.
#03~ Your laces never untie themselves when you walk, no matter how loosely or tightly you tie them.
#04~ Your socks never mysteriously disappear when you wash them. Each pair remains intact, always matching and never stretched or misshapen
#05~ Leftovers always taste just as good (or better) the next day. Nothing is dry, soggy, or tasteless after reheating.
#06~ Your jewelry never tarnishes, discolors, or stains to that strange green color; everything you wear always looks new.
#07~ Your passwords will always be safe and easy for you to remember, no need to write them down or constantly reset them.
#08~ You never accidentally bite the inside of your cheek while eating - no painful mid-meal surprises...
#09~ You always pick the freshest produce without even trying - no more pounding on watermelons and avocados, it's like your hands know.
#10~ Your sheets always stay in place, no matter how much you toss and turn in bed (no waking up to a half-naked mattress at 3 am lol).
#11~ No matter how fast you walk or what activity you're doing, your socks never slip inside your shoes.
#12~ You never feel that uncomfortable static discharge when you touch a door handle/car/another person.
#12~ When you wear white, you never stain. Drinks, sauces, even pens… nothing ends up staining your clothes.
#13~ No matter how tangled your necklaces are, you can detach them in seconds without frustration - they simply fall apart on their own.
#14~ Even if you forget to charge your earbuds, they have enough battery for one last use when you really need them.
#15~ Your headphones never fall out, no matter how much you move. They simply stay attached without causing discomfort.
#16~ You never get a bad haircut - somehow, your hairdresser always understands what you mean and you always leave happy.
#17~ Your phone charger never mysteriously stops working, it always charges instantly.
#18~ Your wifi never crashes at the worst moments. Streaming, gaming, video calls… always without problems or sudden disconnections.
#19~ Your perfume/cologne remains throughout the day, but never overwhelmingly: it's just the right amount of scent at just the right times.
#20~ You don't experience the horror of biting into something expecting it to be sweet and it turns out salty (or vice versa).
#21~ No matter how chaotic your closet is, you always find the exact garment you're looking for in seconds.
#22~ You never have that frustrating moment when you almost sneeze but don't. When it happens, it happens.
#23~ Whenever you need to tie your hair back, you have a scrunchie at hand. Whether in your pocket, purse, or even on your wrist, you never struggle to find one.

I have this brainrot for a while now
Which cod man would be the most husband material, who waits for the shortest amount of time before getting married? And who would be the one who would be fine with not getting married at all? And where are the rest of them?
How many kids would they want if they want?
I don’t need sleep, i need answers!😭
sorry for the delay my wifi is so slow, we just got a new batch of snow down here and tbh it might be affecting my internet
✧ Price, Ghost, Soap, Gaz, Roach, Alejandro, Rudy, Phillip Graves, Makarov, Keegan, König, Horangi, Nikto
ᰍᩚ Price... he's PERFECT husband material. Cut from the finest cloth I'm SO normal about him. You've just observed his behavior closely and he doesn't do annoying things like leaving his clothes lying around on the floor or leaving unwashed dishes in the sink. He def want to get married, but doesn't wait too long nor asks you right away, he'd time it just right. As for kids? Maybe he could convince you to have one or two...
ᰍᩚ Ghost... he doesn't realize he can lowkey be a good husband. He thinks he's not willing to adapt to anyone, given how much stuff he's been through. A relationship isn't the worst thing he's had to go through, he's gone through worse, so why is he thinking about it so much? He doesn't want to enter a relationship with only half a heart, not mindlessly. But he knows his feelings towards you don't come from nothing. His feelings would have to be resolved before you even started dating, so that afterwards everything progresses pretty smoothly. And after marriage, kids? Maybe idk.
ᰍᩚ Soap... he probably had your entire life planned out before he confessed. He knew he loved you, was convinced he wanted to marry you and needed to have kids. So, he waited the least amount of time to marry you. There's lots of things he could improve on as a partner but the good thing is he's willing to make any and all of those changes for you. His respect will never run dry, he won't let desperation take ahold of him, always letting you know one way or another he still cares. It was up to you to decide how many kids you'd be okay with but if it were up to him... yk what better not go there.
ᰍᩚ Gaz... Perfect boyfriend AND husband material. He loves showing affection with the little things, a cup of coffee or tea and cuddling when you feel down or taking care of chores when you need a break. Simple things that he does on the daily that in the long run fortify your relationship. The amount of time he waits before asking you to marry him depends and it's all on how you want your relationship to progress. He's surefooted in his decisions so after the initial stages of the relationship when he's gotten to know you very well, your faults and what he loves about you, he just lets you know that if you want to take that step, he's more than ready to do so. He def wants kids, at least three.
ᰍᩚ Roach... oh my sweet boy ToT. He's such boyfriend material and in time will no doubt grow into a loving husband. He very deeply cares about your connection and how deep it runs between you both. The topic of marriage comes up at a very proper time in your relationship, it's when all he can think of is holding your hand every day, how comforting your presence is to him and how this couldn't ever revert into something casual. Marriage is a definite yes for him. Kids are something he wouldn't think of right away. Maybe a few years down the lane, and maybe one.
ᰍᩚ Alejandro... you made him wish impossible things. How you've made him feel, the sensations not only running smoothly over his skin but finding a way to penetrate deeply, to make him desire nothing else but a life with you. Marriage was the ideal way to continue living in that daydream. How he wishes the days were endless, so he can rejoice for eternity with you. If this was what made him wish to be better, then he was surely husband material. In time, he'd want to start a family with you, to create life, to have little ones to take care of. Three or four kids would occupy his days.
ᰍᩚ Rudy... is THE blueprint for all husbands out there to follow. He's very patient, his voice soothes you, could lull you to sleep. Always listens to you even if you rant, if you point out a flaw of his he works to be better. Never pushed you into doing anything, even when he could already hear the wedding bells ringing, he wanted you to make this decision on your own. In the back of his mind, he most likely already had baby names planned and asked if you wanted kids. He def did and wanted three. He thought it was the perfect number.
ᰍᩚ Phillip Graves... husband material at its FINEST. He's not only charming and a gentleman as a boyfriend but also as a husband. He just couldn't wait to put a ring on your finger so he did want marriage very soon. There is no way he'd NOT want children, he's just as much father material as he is husband material. I've said it before but he was made to father children and I will die on that hill. He loves going everywhere with his son, showing him how to run a company and then he gentles when his daughter is born, doing everything she wants.
ᰍᩚ Makarov... husband material at the core. Deep on the inside he can be genuine and want to care for someone. He likes having someone to depend on him, under his care, leaning on him for that strange affection that isn't found anywhere else. It would be hard to refuse him with the amount of gifts he sends to sweeten you up and coax you to accept his proposal that came too soon for your liking. But look at it this way, he'll always provide everything you'll ever need and want and in exchange you only have to agree to marry him, live with him and... kids. Yes, he wants kids. A numerous family preferably.
ᰍᩚ Keegan... is quite levelheaded when it comes to relationships so he's fine with staying your boyfriend and living with you or becoming your husband when you marry. He could improve on becoming peak husband material but you're lucky if he picks up his clothes from the floor and places it in the laundry basket instead. He thinks having no kids is better until you get a scare thinking you might be with child and he gets excited until you call false alarm. He felt disappointment and then realized he did want kids after all. Would be fine with just one but wouldn't completely be against having another one later on.
ᰍᩚ König... it's not him you have to worry about when it comes to marriage. He's got to watch out for himself because YOU'RE going to wife him up, otherwise he'd never get around to asking you to marry him. Not that he wouldn't want to but he's thinking when would be the perfect moment to ask and he's always thinking, "I'm going to ask them next date", and another date comes and goes by and then another and another... He'd learn to be so loving with kids you just gotta convince him he CAN be a good father. I don't know how many he could handle though.
ᰍᩚ Horangi... he's fun but he's prob best as a boyfriend. Not that he could never be a husband because he can, but he'd be completely fine with not marrying. If you're expecting him to bring up the question and get down on his knee for you... then you're probably setting yourself up for disappointment. It'd take him a while and you'd have to hint at wanting marriage, because otherwise he wouldn't mind just moving in together. I know I used to say he'd want marriage quickly but idk man my perception of him changed. He might get baby fever (rare) and he might ask for ONE kid them, but don't think he's the type for them much.
ᰍᩚ Nikto... if he does open up to wanting a relationship you've got to work with him on the long run. He might be closed off to certain things simply because he might not see a point in progressing in that field, but once he sees that you respect him and don't force anything, he'd def want to marry you. I'm not exactly sure how long he'd wait before proposing to you, honestly it all depends but once he grows attached to a person he wouldn't want to be apart from them so I'm guessing he'd tie the knot pretty soon. The topic of kids is something he's very hesitant of, he rarely gets baby fever, like ever. It'd have to be a lot of convincing on your part. But he might be okay with one or two at most.

⟡ ݁₊ welcome to the end of the world! (please leave your sanity at the door.)
𝒊𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒉 . . . four friends: nick, matt, chris, and you—find themselves stuck together at the end of the world, trying to survive a zombie apocalypse with nothing but their wits, a questionable supply of snacks, and zero emotional maturity. you’re just trying to stay alive without losing your mind—or falling for someone on the team.
𝒘𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 . . . kinda dark humor, cursing, mention of weapons, slow burn, reader x matt.
CHAPTER ONE: LIEUTENANT WHISKERS.
read more parts here
Tumblr media
you wake up with a half-eaten granola bar in your mouth, one sock on, and a very loud alarm going off outside. it’s not your alarm. your phone died three days ago, and even if it hadn’t, the lack of wifi really killed your will to function. there’s a mosquito bite on your neck that may or may not be a zombie hickey (probably not, but you checked it three times anyway), and your hair is doing this weird apocalypse-frizz thing that no amount of dry shampoo can fix.
the room smells like moldy hope and whatever deodorant chris found at the last gas station. you’d complain, but you’ve smelled worse. you’ve been worse. yesterday you slipped in a puddle of what you hope was expired tomato soup and landed directly on your dignity. it’s probably still there, lying between a crushed can of green beans and a questionable boot.
“you’re finally awake,” says nick, poking his head through the busted doorframe like a dramatic woodland creature. his hair’s sticking up on one side, and he’s wearing a tactical vest he definitely didn’t know how to use before the world fell apart. “you were snoring so loud i thought you were one of them.”
“how do you know i’m not?” you mumble, pulling the granola bar out of your mouth and blinking at him like a crusty-eyed cryptid. nick squints. “mmm. if you were a zombie, you’d have better posture.”
rude.
nick is the strategist of the group. in a past life, he played too much chess, hoarded survival gear “for fun.” and absolutely had a reddit thread on “how to escape civilization when it inevitably collapses.” now he’s thriving. he has spreadsheets. spreadsheets. in the apocalypse. the rest of you would probably be dead without him, but you’d never say that out loud. he’d get smug. like, “i-told-you-so” smug. nobody needs that energy in a world full of rotting corpses.
you groan and swing your legs off the couch, or what’s left of it. the springs poke you with the subtlety of a drunk raccoon. you’re about to ask where the others are when someone tosses a half-empty water bottle at your face. “hydrate,” matt says.
he’s standing there, wearing fingerless gloves and holding a crowbar like it’s just an extension of his soul. his shirt has one tear down the side (not on purpose, probably), and there’s a smudge of dirt across his cheek that makes him look exactly 17% hotter than any reasonable person should be during the end of the world. unfair. you would never admit this to his face, though.
matt is the muscle of the group. not in a gym rat way—though, yeah, his arms could probably bench press a vending machine…but in a “i will defend you from zombies and emotional damage” kind of way. he’s quieter than the rest of the group, brooding in a way that’s not annoying, just… kind of intense. but also? kind of (very) hot. which is inconvenient because you’re literally trying not to die out here.
“where’s chris?” you ask, chugging the water like there’s no tomorrow. which honestly, there most likely isn’t. “probably doing doing dumb shit on the roof again.” matt mutters, looking out the shattered window. right on cue, chris drops into the doorway from above.
“roof’s clear!” he says, brushing leaves off his hoodie like they personally insulted him. “also i found a cat. his name is lieutenant whiskers now. he’s our son.”
you blink. “you were gone for fifteen minutes.”
“a lot can happen in fifteen minute.” chris says, holding up the cat like simba. the cat looks mildly pissed off but accepts its fate.
chris is chaos incarnate. if you gave him a sword, he’d swing it around before accidentally stabbing a zombie in the eye and pretending it was on purpose. he’s the wildcard of the group—completely unpredictable, usually hilarious, and somehow always finding the weirdest loot. one time he came back with a working slushie machine. no one asked questions. you just drank the mystery-blue sugar water and moved on.
nick appears again, this time holding a clipboard. a clipboard. where did it even come from? did he have it this whole time? has it been living in his vest? “okay,” he says, tapping it with authority. “today’s objectives: one, scavenge the convenience store down the street. two, avoid dying. three, find duct tape.”
matt frowns. “duct tape’s not a priority.”
“everything is a priority when you’ve got this much falling apart,” nick says.
“matt,” you say, “remember when your backpack strap broke and you carried your bag like a baby for six miles?”
“…that was a tactical decision.”
“sure it was.”
matt glances at you, mouth twitching into a tiny, unfair smile. it does things to your stomach that you do not have time for.
the four of you gear up, which mostly means putting on mismatched layers and checking your pockets for snacks. matt hands you a knife without saying anything. it’s not fancy, but it’s sharp and kind of comforting. you don’t thank him out loud. instead, you nudge his arm lightly and he bumps yours back. it’s small. stupid. but your heart does a little weird fluttery thing and you hate it. you all move out like a heavily armed band of garbage gremlins. nick’s in the lead with his clipboard (which somehow feels like a weapon), matt takes the flank with that crowbar, and chris is already ten feet ahead, trying to teach lieutenant whiskers how to detect zombies.
the streets are quiet. too quiet. like the undead are all in a meeting somewhere discussing new strategies. “do zombies strategize?” you ask quietly.
“no,” nick says.
“absolutely,” chris says at the same time.
“i don’t care,” matt mutters. “they die the same.”
you’re just about to make a joke about zombie politics when you feel a prickle down your spine. a shuffle. a groan. a smell.
“zombie at two o’clock!” nick yells, snapping his clipboard shut like he’s about to use it as a shield.
and suddenly it’s all chaos.
matt steps in front of you with his crowbar like it’s a natural reaction. chris hurls a can of beans like a grenade and screams at the top of his lungs. nick mutters something about “this is why we make plans.” and dives behind a mailbox.
you draw your knife, your hands shaking just a little. matt glances at you—quick, sharp, eyes checking to make sure you’re okay. you nod, just once. he nods back.
and somehow, in the middle of all this madness, with the groans of the undead echoing through the street and chris trying to name every zombie after a disney villain, your heart thuds way too hard for way too many reasons.
welcome to the apocalypse.
try not to fall in love.
or do.
it’s the end of the world, after all.
