‘S-s-so Connor is your brooother?’ They were driving through Detroit’s streets covered by snow slush and salt. It would be a pain to get the hardened dirt from the road off his car later, Richard thought as quiet Christmas music accompanied their drive. ‘Yes. Older by roughly five years’, he answered. ‘We’re very close.’ ‘And he w-w-will be the only one there?’ Again, Richard nodded. ‘Yeah, him and his boyfriend. Guess I have to update that to husband soon, they plan to marry as soon as legislation has caught up with recognising androids as persons in every aspect.’ ‘No other f-f-family?’ Richard frowned, face falling instinctively, before he forced himself to cheer up.

‘Nah. Our father died in a car accident. I was three years old; I don’t remember much of him but photos. Connor knew him more and always said he was a nice guy. Our mother was always at work, too absorbed in her studies. It changed a bit when father died, but still she wasn’t home much. Connor basically was the one raising me, and he blames mom for not being there for me.’ ‘And y-y-you?’ ‘Nah’, he laughed. ‘It was normal for me; I didn’t know anything else. But we both agree that me and him, we are family and she doesn’t belong in that definition. And that we’ll do it better should we ever get kids.’ Gavin nodded slowly. ‘How’s he?’ ‘Caring?’, Richard began, having to think of the right words to express what he felt when thinking of his brother. ‘Overly protective. Overly friendly. It can be annoying at times. But he is honest too and understands boundaries. He never said anything when I had my silent phases, just came to my room and did whatever he did close to me keeping me company. They arrived at a small house draped in tasteful Christmas decoration. Not too much and in exactly the right colours to make it feel cosy, warm and welcoming. Gavin stepped out of the car watching the lights and trying not to think of how he had lifted up the kids so they could help putting them up in their old home. They were fond memories made all the more sour by his loss. He knew his LED was likely red again, alerting the strange human that had picked him up of his  composure slipping, but if Richard noticed, he didn’t say anything, just walking ahead and smiling back at him as an invitation to follow him. Gavin didn’t know since when he was stuck in this analysis mode, but he was sick of flinching and glitching at any movement. ‘This must be your plus one?’, he asked Richard with a wink and held out a hand towards Gavin. ‘Hello, I’m Connor.’ Gavin couldn’t suppress taking a step back. ‘I-I-I’m Gaaavin’, he said, cursing his voice box for glitching now out of all times. Connor let his hand fall, but smiled at him, completely ignoring his stutter and hangers. ‘Hello Gavin, nice to meet you! Merry Christmas! Come in, you two! Hank’s getting out the food already!’

They followed Connor in and got rid of their shoes, before entering the living room. Connor instructed them to sit down and hurried into the kitchen to help Hank. When the larger android came to greet them, Gavin dared to relax a bit. He was deviant too, sending a friendly greeting ping to him. He looked gentle, trusting and didn’t have any marks on him. Hank put down plates for Connor and Richard, while Connor came back with two mugs of warmed Thirium for the androids as well as blue tinged cookies. ‘Can you eat?’, Hank asked him then. ‘You are an older model, right?’ Gavin nodded. ‘I am. B-b-but I caaan eat. I g-g-got the upgrade when Kathy- I got the upgrade.’ Hank lifted a brow at the errors and swallowed sentence, but otherwise didn’t mention it. ‘Then I hope they taste, Connor made them. He has no talent.’ ‘Excuse me?’, the human answered, elbowing Hank. Gavin expected damage, but it was a friendly gesture. ‘I can cook great.’ ‘Yeah’, Hank countered. ‘If you count heating up frozen pizza.’ ‘Hey, that’s all I can do, too, so I’ll side with Connor here’, Richard laughed. ‘What’s your verdict, Gavin?’

He looked into the other’s faces, still overwhelmed by it all. Instead of answering, he took one of the cookies and nibbled on the edge. He hadn’t really eaten much since he had gotten the upgrade and his tank didn’t allow for more than one meal anyways. It tasted… sweet. The texture was interestingly grainy and gave in to force easily. Not able to stand being stared at any longer, he just shrugged and said: ‘It tastes good?’ ‘See!’, Connor grinned. ‘Gavin likes it. I can’t be that bad then!’ ‘Or your recipe was good.’ ‘Or he did something wrong and accidentally saved otherwise horrible cookies.’ Connor crossed his arms. ‘Oh, shut up, Nines, try baking something you can’t even try because it’s literal poison for you!’ Richard laughed, and it eased the mood into simpler waters.

They continued talking for a while exchanging about what they had been up to lately. Gavin listened, but was content not to be involved at all, eating the cookies Connor had prepared. He actually liked them a lot and it was quite relaxing to just munch away on them. ‘And? How did you two get to know each other?’ He froze, sharing a look with Richard. ‘Errr…’ ‘Do you know that red light at the corner of that mattress store?’ Connor frowned, then nodded. ‘Yeah, you have to wait ages until you can drive on.’ ‘Somehow timing was perfect, and we saw each other every day when my shift ended.’ He looked over to Gavin and he nodded, thanking him inwardly to not tell them his whole life story. ‘Today I decided to talk to him.’ Connor looked over to Gavin disbelievingly. ‘My brother spoke to you first?’ Gavin huffed. ‘Y-Yes, he did. I-I-I lost my family because of the revolution. Had nowhere to go. ‘Nines, are you ill? Initiating conversation, bringing someone for dinner and inviting them into your home?’ ‘Fuck off, Connor, seriously. Call it a Christmas miracle.’ Connor shook his head. ‘Would be one hell of one.’ Richard threw him a look and laughed. ‘Connor, just because it’s rare it doesn’t mean it never happens.’ ‘It was awkwaaard as hell too’, Gavin added carefully. ‘Have to admit I thought he was some sort of weirdo first.’ Connor smiled as Nines rested his hand on his arm. ‘Okay, that sounds more like my brother.’

‘Really? A weirdo?’, Richard asked Gavin. ‘I thought aaaaafter our last talk you appreciated h-h-honesty.’ ‘Yeah, okay, but you don’t just tell someone they are a weirdo.’ ‘It’s the truth.’ Richard sighed. ‘I don’t think you are oooone now th-th-th-though’, he added. ‘Thanks, at least there’s that then…’ Richard looked up at Connor. ‘What?’

The other human was grinning at them both and tried to hide it badly. ‘I’m happy, Nines. Really. I’m glad you both are here today. Come on, let’s watch a movie and then presents!’

The longer they spent at Connor’s house, the more at ease Gavin felt. No one asked him about his past or why he was malfunctioning all over. It surely was a question that burned in their minds, he could feel it, but they consciously didn’t question him. He was just being accepted as a part of their Christmas celebration as if he hadn’t just been picked up from some scrapyard and put into nice clothing. It felt like he… Like he had been here last year and the year before. Almost like… like he belonged. Like a family. He just had to reach out a hand and take the chance Richard had offered him and all of this would turn from pretend to reality. It was weird thinking about it, especially when every connection to the word family brought up memories of loss and grief about old happiness.

But was it wrong to want this again? To wish for another chance at building new memories? He looked at Richard from the corner of his eyes. The man was completely fixed on the TV in front of them, body relaxed and close to him but far away enough not to impose or cause stress. Gavin swallowed and looked over to Connor and Hank on the other couch under a blanket lying close, Hank holding the human and caressing his hair. He could have this again. This casual comfort, these caring touches, this feeling of safety and belonging. The home he had lost and tried to build for himself in that scrapyard could be his again, if he just allowed to let it happen.

He swallowed and pressed his eyes close to block out the warnings of threat, warning, run, danger. Then he scooted over slowly until he hit Richards warm ribcage. He felt the other shift around his frozen body, then an arm was draped around his shoulders carefully. ‘This too much?’, Nines whispered near inaudibly over the movie running and Gavin shook his head. No, he wanted this, he just had to get over his own barriers. A few minutes later, he tried opening his eyes again and was surprised his systems weren’t bombarding him with errors. Instead, his status box read safe and Richard’s body was marked as friend/ally. Gavin sighed deeply, dropping into the carefree touch completely.

When Richard dared to look down the next time, the android in his arm was smiling just the slightest and his LED was circling somewhere between blue and yellow – the calmest he had seen Gavin so far. By the end of the movie, Gavin wasn’t moving anymore, the LED pulsing slowly. Nines looked over at Hank questioningly and the android nodded. ‘He’s in stasis now.’ ‘Wow’ Richard said with raised brows, looking down on the sleeping android. Connor sat up and threw them their blanket. ‘You can stay the night if you want. Guess I have to call you Tens now’, he joked. Nines huffed and answered deadpan: ‘Do that and I’ll stop talking to you to go back to Nines.’

It had been exactly a week since Connor had arrived into the Jones household, and Tyler was already starting to notice the change. 

Of course, it was a little different than when Lizzie had been there. She was more gentle when she spoke and with handling Tyler, but quick and firm to finish her assigned jobs of daily chores and anything extra Karen, Tyler, or Justin had asked. Connor didn’t have as strict of a ‘child filter’ like Lizzie had, which meant he spoke more from his program and not what he ‘felt’ like other child caretaker androids. Connor sat on the stool next to Tyler and assisted her in piano practice, and even went the extra mile to download various basic math problems from the internet to help Tyler get ahead in her schooling. He was still kind to Tyler, just in a different fashion than Lizzie had been. Connor was slowly taking the position of Tyler’s favorite android, right behind Lizzie and Zach (one of the other androids from CyberLife that frequently picked her up from school).

Currently, Tyler was playing on the swing set in the backyard of the house while Connor switched between watching her and playing fetch with their German shepherd, Max. He really did enjoy being around the dog. It was warm today, almost 70 degrees Fahrenheit, which meant Tyler wanted to spend as much time as she could outside when she had gotten home from school. 

“Max, go away!” Tyler yelled as Max walked behind her when she swung backward. “I don’t want to hit you!” Max ran in front of Tyler at the mention of his name and she squealed, sticking her feet out to the ground in an attempt to stop herself. 

Max yelped and ducked out of the way as Tyler’s feet came toward him, her sneakers hitting the grass and catching on a large rock. Tyler’s momentum caused her to fly out of the swing forwards, screaming and putting her hands in front of her to try and lessen her fall. Tyler landed on the grass with a thud, her hands slipping on the ground and becoming scraped and bloody. Tyler cried as she sat up, looking at her hands and seeing spots of blood seep down her palms and she felt a trickle of blood drip down her cheek. 

“Connor!” Tyler wailed, causing the android’s LED to turn red as he frantically ran over to her and crouched down beside her as she sobbed, the burning in her hands becoming too much for her small form. 

“Let me see, Tyler.” Connor said calmly, reading Tyler’s stress level to be at 54%. Tyler sobbed again as she turned her palms upwards and her body wracked with sobs, showing Connor her bleeding hands. Connor scanned the injury, seeing it was nothing fatal, but could have a chance of infection if not treated properly. 

Tyler tightly put her hands into fists and wrapped her arms around Connor’s neck as she cried into his shoulder. Connor awkwardly sat there as Tyler crowded into his lap and cried.

“It hurts really bad.” Tyler whimpered into his uniform as Connor’s LED flashed to yellow. 

“Let’s go inside and take care of your hands.” Connor said in attempts to hint to Tyler that she needed to get off of him. Tyler just tightened her arms around Connor’s neck and he stress level went down to 45%. Connor sighed and placed a hand between Tyler’s shoulder blades, rubbing up and down her spine as she sniffled into his shoulder. Connor looked over Tyler’s shoulder and saw Max nuzzling his head on her shoulder in attempts to apologize. 

“We can take care of your cuts inside.” Connor restated sweetly, wrapping his arms around Tyler’s waist and picking her up, settling her against his hip as she placed her head on his shoulder. She was incredibly light, and she sniffled continuously as Connor walked inside the kitchen with Max trotting along behind them.

Connor waited until Max was inside and shut the back door with his free hand. He carried Tyler over to the island in the middle of the large kitchen and went set her down on it, Tyler holding onto him even tighter as he loosened his grip on her body. 

“N-no.” Tyler whimpered out, her voice muffled against the stiff rubber of Connor’s RK800 shirt. 

“I’m just going to get some rubbing alcohol to clean the cuts on your hands, Tyler. I’m not going anywhere.” Connor said calmly. Tyler’s stress level went down to 39% and she wrapped her arms tighter around Connor’s neck.

Connor hoisted Tyler higher on his hip and carried her with him into Justin and Karen’s bedroom, then into their connecting bathroom. He opened the cabinet above the toilet and found the bottle of rubbing alcohol, grabbing it and shutting the door with his elbow. Tyler was still breathing shakily as Connor set her down on the counter between the two sinks, digging around in the drawers to look for band-aids. He found a ‘super adhesive’ package and pulled it, softly instructing Tyler to hold her hands out over the sink as she scooted closer to Connor. 

“This is going to burn a bit because it’s going to clean the cuts.” Connor told her as she ran her palms under the stream of warm water from the sink. Connor turned it off and unscrewed the cap from the disinfectant. “You’re super tough, right? I mean, after a fall like that, what’s some little disinfectant?” Tyler giggled and sniffled again, wiping her nose on the sleeve of her jacket. Connor made a mental note to himself to wash it later. 

“Okay, ready?” Connor asked. Tyler nodded and held her open palms over the sink. Connor poured the rubbing alcohol over her palms, noticing how Tyler grimaced at the sight of the cuts bubbling and fizzing as they were cleaned. After it subsided, Connor guided Tyler's hands back under the warm water, trying to rinse out all the disinfectant he could see. Tyler dried her hands and Connor stuck the adhesive band-aids on the cuts, Tyler running her fingers over the bandages. 

“Feel better?” Connor asked as he put the box of bandages and the disinfectant away. He saw Tyler nod in the mirror as he turned back to face her. Connor stepped in front of her to inform her that they should stay inside the rest of the day as a safety precaution but was cut off by Tyler leaning up slightly and wrapping her arms around Connor’s neck to bring him into a hug. 

“Thank you, Connor.” Tyler said, smiling softly as she felt Connor wrap his arms under her shoulders in return.

“Daddy, this is Connor!” Tyler chirped, holding Karen’s phone up so her father could see her and Connor in the frame over the video call. “He’s the android the place you work at sent us.” 

“That’s great, sweetie.” Justin said, his face slightly pixelated from the bad connection. “Do you like it so far?” 

“Yeah!” Tyler exclaimed. “Connor and I are best friends, right, Connor?” 

Connor glanced at Tyler cautiously from her spot next to him on the couch.

“Absolutely!” Connor agreed. “Tyler is a very fun child. I’m glad I’ve been sent to assist your family, Mr. Jones.” Justin smiled. 

It was almost 6:00 p.m that night, and Tyler seemed to have completely forgotten about the wounds on her hands. Karen had come home an hour before, tossing Tyler her phone and saying that her father was free at the moment for a video chat. Connor had never seen his friend more happy than when Justin had answered the call.

“I’m glad to hear that, Connor.” Justin replied. “How’s school been going, Tyler?”

“Super good!” Tyler exclaimed, holding Karen’s phone back in front of her own face. Connor turned his gaze back to the cartoons the two had been watching together on the TV before Tyler had called her father.

“Connor helped me with my adding.” Tyler continued. “He taught me the finger trick! And we’ve been playing piano every day!” 

“That’s great, sweetie.” Justin said, eyes focused on something off screen. Connor could tell he was doing some type of work while speaking with Tyler and didn’t really care what his daughter was saying. 

“Tyler, baby, I need my phone back.” Karen informed her daughter as she walked into the living room and stood behind the couch where Tyler was sitting. “Mommy’s going to get a call from the bank soon and I need to be able to answer it.” 

“Okay...” Tyler huffed out. “You’ll be back next week, right, Dad?” 

“Of course.” Justin replied, his gaze finally turning to Tyler through the screen. “Now give Mom’s phone back to her. Love you, Tyler.” 

“Love you too, Dad.” Tyler said sadly, ending the call and giving the phone back to Karen. 

“Connor, could you cook something for Tyler to eat for dinner? My coworkers and I are having a girls night after this call.” 

“Of course, Karen.” Connor replied, standing up off the couch as Karen walked back to her office and closed the door. He glanced down at Tyler and saw how disappointed she looked and he knelt down in front of her. 

“Hey,” Connor began, causing Tyler’s eyes to lock with his. “How about you pick dinner? I think there's some fish sticks in the fridge. Or we might have the ingredients to make spaghetti.”

Tyler’s whole face lit up. “Spaghetti!” Tyler cheered. She hopped off the couch and grabbed Connor’s hand, pulling him to the kitchen.

“Max really likes you.” Tyler declared as she carried the bowl of popcorn back into the living room, taking a seat next to Connor on the floor. Max was seated in Connor’s lap, the android reassuringly patting Max’s head as Tyler used the remote to press the ‘play’ button on the movie they were going to watch together. 

Max barked in agreement. 

“I like dogs.” Connor stated. Tyler laughed a little and shoved a handful of popcorn in her mouth.

Karen had left while Tyler was helping Connor boil noodles for her spaghetti, then the kid had broken down crying. Connor had turned off the stove and wrapped Tyler in a hug, letting her cry into the artfical material of his uniform while he calmed her down to help her lower her stress level.

Tyler and Connor sat on the floor of the kitchen and Tyler had told him how she felt. Her parents were both gone all the time, and her father didn’t even care about her. Her whole life she had only had a constant supply of androids to take care of her, and in the one week Lizzie had been gone, Tyler felt like her world was going to crash. She was so young and didn’t understand the lonliness and sadness she was feeling, and she didn’t understand that it was okay to be upset for having a life like this. 

Connor now understood why Tyler had been so hesitant to become attached to him the first day Connor arrived. She didn’t want to have another Lizzie incident happen where they became friends and the latter left with no warning, leaving Tyler all alone again. 

“Maybe it’s my fault.” Tyler had sniffled out. “Maybe I’m not good enough and that’s why Mom and Dad don’t want to be around me.”

“Tyler,” Connor started, “you’re the best little girl I’ve ever met. If people don’t want you... Well, pardon my language, but they’re stupid.” Tyler laughed sadly and scrubbed her palms over her eyes. 

“You’re the best, Connor.” Tyler said. Then, hesitantly added, “Promise you won’t leave me.”

“I promise, Tyler.” Connor said, pulling her into another tight hug. “I’m not going anywhere.”

And that’s how Connor reccomended that after dinner, the two watch Tyler’s favorite movie to help her feel better. 

The two laughed at some old cartoon from the 2000′s about a boy with two fairy Godparents that wished for it to be Christmas every day of the year. Max would occasionally try to stuff his nose into Tyler’s popcorn bowl which would cause her to squeal and laugh as Connor pulled him away. 

They were into an hour of another cartoon movie, this one about a girl whose emotions help her function, when Connor looked over and saw Tyler asleep, head laying on Max’s side as the two of them snoozed away. Connor softly smiled and grabbed a blanket from the back of the couch, draping it over her as she nuzzled into Max’s fur. 

“I love you, Connor.” Tyler mumbled, eyes opening slightly as Connor picked up their pillows off the floor and placed them back on the couch. Connor paused and looked back down at Tyler, then smiled softly. 

“I love you too, Tyler.” Connor replied, taking a seat on the floor and resting his back against the couch, placing a comforting hand on Max’s head.

Chapter one

An: I’m really nervous about this but fuck it! Imma post it anyways! @luvleekaotix-imagines you said I should go for it so I'm going for it! I’d love some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism from any readers. If any one likes it I’ll continue posting.

Rain pattered against the sidewalk as people rushed past all moving as if they had somewhere to go. An appointment to get to or a meeting to be at. All but one. Kaiel glanced up from his sketch pad only occasionally, when a loud noise or quick movement caught his attention but his focus was mainly on the paper in front of him. He shifted uncomfortably on the park bench, the hard metal bars pressing into his back. His hand moved over the paper, brushing away bits of eraser. Brow furrowing he glared at the paper.

“Geez, what did the drawing do to you?” A voice called from behind him. At first the young boy was startled but then two familiar face popped into up next to him.

“Hey Ryan! What’s up Luther?” Kaiel said cheerfully, shifting so the two could sit beside him.

“We just went to get some food, we got some for you as well,” Luther spoke without sitting. Kaiel looked at Ryan expectantly while Ryan set down his backpack.

“Yeah, yeah here's your stuff you herbivore!” Ryan shoved the fast food into the boy's lap, inadvertently pushing the sketchbook off.

“Ahh shit!” Kaiel moved to grab the sketch book but Luther picked it up first, wiping it off a bit and handing it back.

“Thanks Luther! If only Ryan was as kind,” He said, sticking his tongue out at the other boy. He did the same in response before Kaiel scoffed and took a fry from the bag of fast food, popping it into his mouth. “You’re lucky you get me food or I’d never keep you around.”

“Yeah, yeah whatever,” Ryan mumbled through a mouth full of food. The rain slowly stopped as they ate, Luther finally sitting down after enough insistence from Kaiel.

“So!” Kaiel said suddenly, stuffing the rest of his fries into his mouth, “Want to walk and talk? We’ve gotta go now if we wanna get home before dark. Kaiel cracked his joints as he stood, bending backwards to feel the small pops in his spine.

“Demon, but yeah sure,” Ryan remarked but Kaiel just rolled his eyes. Tossing both their trash in the bin next to them he held a hand out to both Ryan and Luther. Ryan grabbed his hand, pulling himself up and picking up his backpack. Luther looked at Kaiel’s hand but stood up without assistance anyways. Shrugging Kaiel put his sketchbook into his pocket.

Luther of course offered to hold Ryans backpack. “No thanks! I’ve gotta build up my muscles!” Ryan said with a grin.

“Ryan, when's the last time you actually went to the gym?” Kaiel nugged him in the torso as they walked out of the park and into the open shopping center.

“Shut up! Your job is art. MY job is a work out.”

“You literally play with animals for seven hours and then go home.”

They continued their small talk till they reached their apartment.

Welcome home, Kaiel, Ryan, and Luther

The apartment lit up, fairy lights dressing every window. The door led to a common room with a tv and couch. It had an avalanche of blankets on it and topping the mountain was a comfortable looking corgi. The kitchen was connected to this room, open to see. There was a small pile of dishes in the sink and a large amount of baked goods scattered around the room. The entire layout was slightly disorganized but very homey.

“Thank you, home!” Kaiel yelled back into the apartment, immediately rushing towards the office.

“What’re you doing?” Ryan yelled out while setting down his backpack.

“Checking on our baby!” Kaiel yelled back.

“Your creepy snake is not my baby! George is my baby!” Ryan emphasis his point by ruffling the small dogs fur.

“Baby is not creepy! He’s a beautiful boy! Aren't you? Yes you are,” Kaiel said to the white snake, now awake and looking at his adoptive ‘father’. The office was a cluttered mess on one side and an organized explosion of colour on the other. There was a large pink desk up against a window with the snakes tank next to it. The other desk was covered in so much stuff one could barely see it was a light blue. Light streamed in thru the window, the last rays of the sunset painting the room in pinks and oranges.

“Kaiel! Can you and Luther deal with the chores tonight? I’ve got to double shift tomorrow so I can take a vacation day for the show.” Ryan said stepping into the office, George trailing behind him.

“Sure my dude, just make sure you don't accidently kill any of your co-workers,” Kaiel responded, standing up. Ryan thanked him and walked out. “Your turn to make dinner though.” Kaiel added and moved to follow Ryan.

“Can’t I just ask Luther to do it?” Ryan said turning to face Kaiel.

“No Luther did it last night and you promised yourself you’d get better at cooking actual meals and not just baking cake. We can’t both bake twenty-four seven.”

“Fiiiiiiiiinee” Ryan said, trudging towards the kitchen to start.

Kaiel rolled his eyes and looked around before returning to the office. He started to sing while doing some of the chores. “Talk about space, Well it's a beautiful place, But it's so da-shit!” He shouted, tripping over something. “Fuuuuck…” He groaned out. He laid there for a moment before a stabbing in his hip got uncomfortable. He rolled over now seeing a package that had been jabbing into his abdomen.

“Ryan! Stop leaving shit on the floor of my office!”

Ryans head popped thru the door “For one, OUR office,” He said now stepping fully into the room “and two it's not even mine so?” Kaiel looked at the box now curious.

“When did with even come?” Flipping over the box Kaiel cut open the tape with their nail.

“Dunno,” Ryan replied, walking back to the kitchen, Kaiel now in toe.

“Ryan.” Kaiel stopped in place, the box falling to the floor. He now held in his hand a polaroid camera.

“Yes?” The smile was obvious in his voice though Kaiel could not see it.

“Ryan!”

“Yes?”

“Ryaaaaaaaan!”

“Yeeeeees!”

“THANK YOU!” Kaiel set the polaroid camera down and tackle-hugged Ryan. Ryan and Kaiel fell to the ground along with the cracked eggs Ryan had been scrambling.

“Kaiel! What the hell?” He sputtered out to smaller boy on top of him.

“Thankyouthankyouthankyou!”

“Yeah, yeah whatever, can you get the fuck off now?” He said shoving him off slightly.

“How’d you even get the money? Where'd you even find one? How-” Kaiel line of questions was stopped with a finger over his mouth.

“No more questions. It’s the least I can do, besides it can be like a birthday gift for all the times I forgot to give you one.” The two got up, now covered in egg.

“Wait wait! Luther come here!” Kaiel yelled as Ryan was about to wipe off the egg off his face.

Luther came out of Kaiels room holding a small cameleon. “Yes, what is it?”

“Come take a picture with us!” Kaiel said grabbing the camera and turning it around.

Ch-chshhhh

The photo that came out was of one tall android awkwardly holding a small chameleon as a short pink haired male winked at the camera. His hair was slightly matted down with egg and beside him is a slightly taller boy with curly brown hair and a splatter of egg across his face.He looked playfully annoyed at the smaller man.

“Looks great!”

“Were covered in egg.” Ryan deadpanned

Kaiel stared at Ryan. Silence for about three seconds before Luther cut in

“I’m not covered in egg.” Ryan smirked at Kaiel. Kaiel returned the look and leaned against the counter grabbing an egg from behind him.

“Yes you are Luther look!” Kaiel pointed at the photo causing Luther to lean into it.

CRACK

Luther looks up, presumably at the large amount of yolk dripping from his head.

“Oh.” Is all he says.

Kaiel look at Ryan and they both broke out into shaking laughter. Luther smiles.
