yes, yes, boba fett finds it strange and uncomfortable when people can see his face and this is one of the major reasons he almost never removes his helmet (in the expanded universe anyway), but another factor that i think isn't explored nearly enough is just how much his helmet shapes how he sees the world. it grants him 360° vision, lets him interface with his weapon systems and slave I, and automatically dampens loud noises and dims bright lights. imagine going through the vast majority of your life seeing the world through that lens and then suddenly taking it away. removing his helmet for any significant length of time likely isn't just uncomfortable for him but downright disorienting.

Luke and Din seem like the type to get married without telling anyone and be so wrapped up in the lovey dovey honeymoon phase neither of them bother to call.

Leia only finds out when she asks about Luke’s beskar pendant, and Luke just nonchalantly tells her Din gave it to him as a wedding gift. Of course she’s furious

“why wasn’t I called? You didn’t want your own sister at your wedding??”

“There wasn’t any wedding, we thought we were about to die on an imperial star cruiser and he asked me to marry him right then and there, sigh it was so romantic”

Meanwhile Din realizes the different treatment he’s getting as the hero of the galaxy’s husband. Like him walking into a republic hanger to get a new job from Teva and everyone goes silent the second he walks in. He’s got a hand on his blaster just in case, until Wedge pats him on the back and congratulates him. The second Leia found out she of course told Han who is such a gossip, then the honeymoon period seems cut short when everyone they know starts showing up trying to celebrate. I have a lot of ideas about this but then the post would be too long…

I support super-soldier Clone takes so hard. Even in the case of Boba Fett. Unaltered applied only to his age, so here is this kid in training by his Regular Human Dadwho can run miles without stopping because his lungs are more efficient in oxygenation. His muscles disperse lactic acid faster. His heart can withstand insane stress and work. His brain is fine tuned to process information and react. Poison? His body will purge it by the usual process and then his metabolism kicks into overdrive to burn it out of his system. He can taste and smell on a level that Jango can’t even fathom, and his hearing, while made not to overwhelm his sensory processes, is far sharper than Jango’s. He can hear and smell when Jango is getting tired. Boba knows when an opponent is too tired to keep fighting before the opponent does.

He’s faster, better, stronger than Jango and that’s ON PURPOSE. Jango wanted his legacy to be carried by someone that he considered BETTER.

And then Jango fell in love with his kid. And that’s where the plan fell in a little. He was enjoying being a dad too much. Maybe all of Boba’s abilities only trigger with puberty so that Clones had already been mentally trained (programmed) by the time their controlled puberty was brought to pass, so the Kaminoans wouldn’t have to worry about hormonal supermen running around all over their facility.

So now Boba is alone. An orphan. And the standard “your body is going through a lot of changes” conversation doesn’t even come CLOSE.

Thinking about how, at the end of the day, at the fatal moment, the sunset of the Republic, it wasn’t Yoda, or Obi-Wan, or even the Chosen One himself standing in the way of Palpatine. It was Mace Windu.

this is definitely an if you get it you get it post cause I can't be assed to articulate it for a wider audience but I can always tell when people don't understand other cultures specifically indigenous ones by how they go about designing stuff for imaginary cultures. and you might be reading this going yeah duh but I'm talking specifically about warrior cultures (for lack of a better term) where the creator really likes the warrior-ness so there's plenty of positive intent but!! it's still instantly clockable. There's this like suffocating chauvinistic misreading of power and symbolism and what actually shapes reverence of violence and ancestral honor that the creator either pastes from white supremacist retvrn culture or from the defaulted on noble savage trope. And depending on which the end result is either some pick and choose cartoon viking shit that insists upon itself or what boils down to "wild west (or assorted Other, Foreign, Remote) savages kill for fun but in a like cool and edgy way". Both depend on innacurate western cultural reference points to fetishize violence instead of respecting its necessity and the gravity of that; the former from an inside and the latter from an outside perspective. Now. This phenomenon is neither dependent on the creator being white or required to appear 100% in full 100% of the time because these are ideas traced from pop culture holdouts as well as systematic propaganda. But they appear in bits and pieces and flashes very often and I know its not just me who can tell.
