How to Prepare for MPPSC While Working a Full-Time Job?
Tumblr media
Preparing for the MPPSC exam while managing a full-time job can be a daunting task, but with the right strategy, it is possible to excel in both. The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) exam requires dedication, time management, and consistent effort. Working professionals often struggle to find a balance between their job responsibilities and exam preparation. However, the good news is that with proper planning and the right resources like MPPSC coaching in Bhopal or an MPPSC online course, you can make your dream of cracking the exam come true.
1) Time Management Is Key
One of the most crucial aspects of preparing for MPPSC while working is effective time management. Start by analyzing your daily schedule and identify pockets of time that can be utilized for study. Dedicate at least 2-3 hours every day for focused study. Utilize early morning hours or late-night sessions based on your comfort and routine.
2) Choose the Right Study Material
With limited time on hand, selecting the right study material is essential. Instead of accumulating multiple sources, stick to one comprehensive MPPSC online course or coaching material. Online courses are especially beneficial as they offer flexibility and structured content. Make use of online video lectures, recorded classes, and digital notes to learn at your own pace.
3) Make a Study Plan
Prepare a realistic study plan that covers the entire syllabus over several months. Break down topics into small, manageable portions and set weekly and monthly goals. Prioritize subjects that are scoring and frequently appear in the exam. Include revision time and practice tests in your schedule.
4) Leverage Online Resources
Opting for MPPSC coaching in Bhopal can provide you with valuable guidance, but if your job doesn’t allow regular attendance, choose an MPPSC online course. Online platforms offer mock tests, current affairs updates, and interactive doubt-clearing sessions. Studying online not only saves travel time but also provides access to quality content anytime, anywhere.
5) Practice Answer Writing
Since MPPSC Mains requires descriptive answers, practice writing regularly. Dedicate some time each weekend to writing essays or answers to previous years' questions. This practice will enhance your writing speed and presentation skills, which are crucial during the exam.
6) Stay Consistent and Motivated
Staying consistent with your preparation while working can be challenging. Motivate yourself by setting small targets and rewarding yourself when you achieve them. Surround yourself with supportive peers who understand your goals.
Conclusion
Preparing for the MPPSC exam while juggling a full-time job may seem overwhelming, but with the right strategy and consistent effort, success is attainable. Whether you choose MPPSC coaching in Bhopal or an MPPSC online course, make sure your approach is disciplined and well-organized. Remember, dedication and persistence are the keys to cracking the MPPSC exam while managing your career.

MPPSC Preparation Strategy for Prelims, Mains & Interview, Tips, Books | How to prepare for MPPSC Exam
Tumblr media
BASIC REQUIREMENT FOR SUCCESS IN THE MPPSC EXAM
The civil services are one of the most lengthy, comprehensive and competitive exams in India with a very low success rate. It is yearlong process consisting of three stages, Preliminary, the mains examination and the interview. Therefore, it requires a comprehensive set of qualities which are pre-requisites for cracking the exam.
The Candidates have a few qualities in self for cracking the exam like Good Intelligence quotient (IQ), Good scoring potential, Good reading skills, Good writing skills, Good analytical skills, Focus and determination, Good Emotional Intelligence (EQ).
A Good IQ is the ability to understand concepts and techniques, a good EQ is the ability to understand people and their emotions. Both these qualities are needed to make a good civil servant.
To be a civil servant average IQ is enough, provided we compensate for this hard work, smart and reading and writing skills.
One needs to have good scoring potential to succeed in the MPPSC examination. Usually, the marks obtained in board exams are quite an indicator of a person’s IQ.
THE KEY TO SUCCESS
Many people say that success in life is not solely depends on hard work. It is a mixture of talent, density and luck. Some people feel that persons like Einstein or Tendulkar are born like that, with immense god gifted talent. Some other feels that it is all pre decided whatever has to happen will happen all the above statements can be true for particular individual so success depends on many factors.
·         Hard work
·         Talent/aptitude
·         Luck/chance
·         Marketing/self-promotion
·         All the above
Once you have decided to start the preparation for MPPSC, you must focus on the examination and forget everything else like Arjuna in Mahabharata, who saw only the eye of the bird that is target though The Tree, the leaves, the branches the sky everything was there. Similarly, we have to cut ourselves from all the possible distraction during the preparation. Focus only on the exam.
One more myth or fear student have about English many hesitate or in fear of speaking English, there is no need to try to master the English language but certainly make efforts to improve your grammar, expressions and handwriting. This can easily be done with some extra efforts. You can consult any MPPSC Coaching expert for this.

  TIME MANAGEMENT
This is an essential requirement to crack any competitive exam, first you need set a goal thus goal setting is the first step to time management. A mppsc aspirant have to set short term goals you can set weekly targets, Daily targets that should be complete in hours like 10, 12 or 14 hours a day. When I was preparing for MPPSC mains I forget all other things, forget the family, postponed spiritual and material quests and focused only on the preparation.
Worried about how much time to give for preparation? MPPSC mains is tough examination to crack. whoever told you that this will easy was lying, it's difficult but not impossible to crack. How much time to give for daily studying solely depends on an individual. It does not depend on the time but rather on the concentration level that you will be putting. Most students who have higher IQ might have to give just 6 hours of daily studying and they can still retain most of the stuff, where is some students have to do extraordinarily hard work.
Don't go by the time that your friends are giving to Daily preparation, try to utilize the time that you are spending on the study, like Arjun whose eyes were on the target you should also study in the same manner. Just see how much time it requires you to fulfil your daily target and then you can calculate how much time you need to dedicate for your studies.
 PRACTICE ANSWER WRITING
Answer writing is an important aspect of MPPSC civil services exam. While prelims is only the qualifying exam which separates the grain from the chaff means serious candidates from non-serious candidates, it's marks are not added for creating the merit list.
Mains exam is worth 1575 marks spanning over 6 papers four papers of GS, 1 paper of Hindi and 1 paper of essay. The content of the answer is more important than its length.
Answer writing also helps in organizing and prioritizing your thought process you learn to put forward what exactly is asked and not what you know. Last but not least writing has in the internalizing information and in better retention than only reading. You can join any MPPSC coaching in indore for mains answer writing practice.
So, for the process part, one should begin by writing answers of previous year question papers in addition to give you adequate answer practice they should help you in understanding the exam pattern and the demand of the exam very well. After finishing with previous years papers, one should start taking mock test and get them evaluated. Many Online MPPSC Coaching classes are providing mock tests for practice can join any for your preparation.
1.       Immediately after prelims- write four to five questions for day start taking weekly topical mock test
2.       2 months before mains start taking full length test
3.       A week before mains take three or four full length tests at the same time when the mains exam is conducted just to simulate exam conditions.
ROLE OF HANDWRITING
Handwriting is important but not the most important factor. You may or may not get extra marks if you have very good handwriting. but you are sure to lose out, if your handwriting is illegible.
Your handwriting should be readable for this you can do this-
1.       Increase the font of your writing generally bigger the font, easier it is to read.
2.       Give adequate spacing between lines
3.       Start each paragraph from the middle of the page this will give a good appearance to your answer
4.       Underline the keywords this is very essential especially if you have a clumsy handwriting there are
1.       chances that the evaluator may miss out on this.
5.       Use subheadings to divide your answers.
 MPPSC: INTERVIEW
After my mains exam i starts preparation for interview this time i was confident i will clear mains as well as interview. I think best way to prepare for mppsc interview is know yourself, explore yourself, prepare question answers which are likely to be asked in interview, but do not prepare answers which are not true, don’t fool interviewer, don’t lie in interview board, you can prepare for interview in just 20 days (if you faced interview previously) before interview give at least 5 mock interviews. You can join Sharma Academy’s Mock Interview sessions for preparation.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR MPPSC EXAM?
Here, I am telling you the overall strategy to crack the MPPSC State Service Examination in the First attempt. The first attempt of the candidate is very pivotal and considered to be the very important or golden attempt as the students are intense for their study in first attempt and mind is in the state of calm.
As the MPPSC syllabus is vast so it needs at least one complete year planning for any fresher student who is preparing for MPPSC and want to crack it in first attempt.
There are 3 phases of exam as we discussed above, we need to understand the importance of each phase of the exam:
·         Preliminary Exam (to test a broad range of knowledge)

·         Personality test (to test clarity in your thoughts, judgement, and nobility in your personality).
HOW TO PREPARE FOR MPPSC 2021 PRELIMS EXAMINATION?
As MPPSC is approaching on footsteps of UPSC in asking questions from diverse fields, the strategy for Prelims should be a blend of Hard work and Smart work as it is the stage of pure elimination.
Before the start of the Prelims preparation, we need to go through all the Previous Year Question Papers to understand the coverage and current trends of the questions asked. We need to cover all the important events of past 10-12 months as Current Affairs playing a decisive role nowadays.
Here is the analysis and sources to be followed for Prelims Paper:

For practising MCQs, you can choose Online or Offline in any mode. It is advisable to solve MCQs online to save the time of Answer checking and getting a comparative analysis of your performance.

·         Prepare your own notes don't rely on others notes, your thoughts are easy to understand for yourself.
·         Make a daily routine from morning till sleep and follow that, schedule should be flexible and give space to yourself also as with study. Tips To Master Your MPPSC Exam Syllabus
The 1st phase after deciding to take the MPPSC exam, an aspirant has to undertake a pledge to work hard considering the enormous syllabus. If you’ve taken a good look at your syllabus, then probably you must have realized the extent and depth of it. If you are confused as to from where to start and how much to study for the upcoming MPPSC examinations, then this post is perfect for you.
The first thing before you even start your exam preparations is to have a positive attitude and an optimistic approach. If you constantly crib and complain about how much the syllabus is, then you will never be able to prepare well and attempt the exam properly. Besides this, following are some syllabus related tips which you must take note of if you are seriously thinking of clearing the MPPSC exam in the current attempt itself.
Question papers of previous years
One of the most ignored source or base of all your MPPSC preparation are the question papers of the previous years. These are the most basic as well as the most useful MPPSC Notes and study material for MPPSC Exam. Once you go through these, you get an idea as to what kind of questions you can expect in the main or actual exam. Hence, if you are in the process of gathering the study material, make sure you don’t forget to get hold of this. Most of you may not know this, but there are quite a few online sources from where you can order the set of previous years’ question papers and which get delivered right at your doorstep.
Invest in few but good and standard books
These days you get ample of MPPSC general studies material in the market. If you take a look at some of the books, then you will feel like buying all of them. However, avoid this temptation and don’t buy multiple books. The only thing which is different is the language used in the book as well as the approach taken for providing an understanding of the topic. But the content is all the same. Buying more than 2 or 3 books is nothing but simply waste of money because frankly speaking, you will not get so much time to go through each and every book which you have purchased, thereby letting it go waste. And as you may be knowing the popular phrase, ‘Jack of all trades, master of none,” reading all the books will not help you in becoming a master.
Concentrate equally on all subject and current affairs
As a future member of the administrative service, you are expected to be thorough with all subjects as well as your current affairs. Spend some extra time but prepare yourself well for the subjects that do not naturally interest you. Along with the regular subjects, equally important are current affairs, which is why news reading is a ‘must do’ for all you MPPSC aspirants.
These are some of the very few yet crucial aspects pertaining to your MPPSC examination preparations which you must not just remember but also follow.

How to start preparing for the MPPSC from scratch?
The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission, publicly MPPSC exam, is a state government-led agency of Madhya Pradesh state. MPPSC (Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission) conducts exams for various state government posts for MP. The exams take place annually. There are three stages of the MPPSC exam –
•          The Prelims- 2 Papers (Objective type-General Studies and Aptitude)
•          The Mains-6 Papers (Essay/Descriptive type- 4 General Studies and 2 Hindi)
•          The Interview
Strategy To Ace the Prelims
It is crucial to have an MPPSC Prelims Strategy during the MPPSC Exam. Therefore, the MPPSC board worked on a new strategy to conduct MPPSC Prelims Exam seamlessly.
Since there have been many changes in the MPPSC pattern for the last three exams, the syllabus has also undergone many changes. Hence it is advisable to go for something other than an optional syllabus. Hard work, or clever work and efficient strategies, should be followed.
If you want to crack this exam, follow the MPPSC prelims strategy. As per this strategy, you need to prepare yourself dedicatedly for six months for successful results.
Since the MPPSC exam syllabus tends to be extensive, the study should be more comprehensive in concept and less in-depth.
How To Start With The Prelims Strategy Preparation?
To start the preparation, you must thoroughly review the entire syllabus. Give sufficient time to each topic. Start by studying the NCERT from classes 6 to 12 of all the subjects.
You can start with the subjects that you have a better grasp on. This helps in building up your confidence and motivation. Once you are confident with your study, the next stage is to review books by good authors for every subject.
Go through the questions and mark up any new information that needs to be present in your NCERTs. Current affairs play a significant role in ICS and all state PSCs. Read the daily newspaper and keep up with current affairs through the internet or magazines.
Regular tests are an efficient method to analyze mistakes and adjust to the limited time. This makes your brain more active and enhances your on-spot problem-solving abilities. One should be efficient, disciplined, and, most importantly, calm to crack the MPPSC exams easily.
For revision purposes, devote about 1-2 hours to brush up on your knowledge of current affairs and also invest a reasonable amount of time practicing your writing. If you want a quick revision, make it a habit to keep a pocket diary with essential points.
Conclusion
Finally, you can complete your MPPSC exam preparation by following some reference books. Indian Polity, written by M. Laxmi Kant's (4th Edition or 5th Edition), and Spectrum for Modern Indian History by Rajiv Ahir's (Latest Edition). Madhya Pradesh Ek Pari Chaya, written by McGraw-Hill, Fast Track Objective Arithmetic, Rajesh Verma, etc., deserves special mention.

It’s basically about creating a self-learning pattern where Machines can answer questions that have never been answered like humans will ever.
Artificial intelligence is a different technology
AI is different from hardware-driven robotic automation. Instead of automating manual tasks, AI consistently performs high volume computerized tasks reliably. AI is often misunderstood for machine learning. AI is a broad concept with a bunch of technologies that include machine learning and other technologies such as natural language processing, inference algorithms, neutron networks, etc.
STRONG AND WEAK AI
Tumblr media
Machine Learning: This is the field in which computers are given the ability to learn without being explicitly programmed. Autonomous Systems: A system that learns on its own to perform various tasks. Language Processing The field of interaction between machines and human languages. Robotics in entirely is not just AI but there is a field of AI-powered robots. Artificial Creativity using computer. E.g. Aiva is an AI-powered system that can compose soundtracks. Google’s project Magenta is all about AI application in arts.
FROM ARTIFICIAL GENERAL INTELLIGENCE TO APPLIED AI
AI research began in the United States with particular interest in developing machines that could translate from Russian to English and vice-versa. This was in context of Cold War with the then Soviet Union. The revival of AI has taken place now with strides having been made in the applied aspect of Artificial Intelligence. The focus is now on developing AI for solving particular problems. Scientists are optimistic that this approach to AI is better than the top down approach, in which the research initially was focused on developing an artificial brain that would behave like a human brain. The applications that are attracting maximum attention are machine learning, robotics, autonomous systems and natural language processing. Autonomous systems are systems with the ability to acquire or create content, interpret and develop knowledge from that content to make a decision on the basis of that interpretation. They are now applied in the development of driverless cars and drones and fraud detection. Prominent examples of driverless cars includes Waymo of Google S, model X and model 3. In February 2017, Dubai announced that its sky would soon see driverless drones for ferrying people. The passenger just needs to press a button and it takes off vertically. Robotics is another area experiencing significant changes that have the potential to knock off many human relations. It has the potential to revolutionize areas of medicines, manufacturing, defence, personal assistants, hospitality industry, personal uses, etc., Many AI projects brought worldwide. India’s Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has developed a robot called Daksh, which can destroy life-threatening objects. Apart from applications like these, AI-powered robotics has been developed for entirely different uses.
FIRST HUMANOID ROBOT
“Sophia” is a social humanoid robot developed by Hong Kong-based company, Hanson Robotics. With the ability to display more than 62 facial expressions, Sophia has participated in many high-profile interviews. In October 2017, Sophia was also given citizenship of Saudi Arabia- the first robot to receive citizenship of any country.
Tumblr media
The robot is modeled after actress ‘Audrey Hepburn’ and uses artificial intelligence visual data processing and facial recognition. Cameras within Sophia’s eyes combined with computer algorithms allow her to see. She can follow faces, maintain eye contact, and recognize individuals. She is able to process speech and can have conversations using Alphabet’s Google Chrome voice recognition technology and other tools. Sophia also imitates human gestures and facial expressions and is able to answer certain questions and can make simple conversations on predefined topics (e.g. on the weather). Hanson designed Sophia to be a suitable companion for the elderly at nursing homes, or to help crowds at large events or parks. Sophia has seven robot humanoid “siblings” who were also created by Hanson Robotics — Alice, Albert Einstein, Philip K. Dick Android, Zeno, and Joey Chaotic. Sophia would ultimately be a good fit to serve in healthcare, customer service, therapy and education.
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN INDIA
Tumblr media
According to the Global AI Report, a report by a Canadian company, India ranks ninth in terms of the number of AI experts working in this field. US, China and UK topped list. The top ranked countries in this report have many educational institutions with programs on AI. So they have a huge number of skilled people to do research in the field.
In contrast, India lacks opportunities for formal education in data science, but is slowly trying to encourage the adoption of AI in educational institutions.
CBSE has AI as an elective subject for class IX.
New education policy boosts artificial intelligence
IIT Hyderabad has launched a full-fledged Bachelor of Technology (B Tech) program in AI, becoming the first Indian educational institution to do so. it is also most likely Third educational institution in the world to have full blown BTech program on AI. IIIT Hyderabad is another educational institution that introduced popular executive programs on AI and Machine Learning and Block Chain and Distributed Ledger technologies. India’s defense forces are now venturing into products and technologies that will aid in defense measures using these tools, AI and technologies. In India, corporates started collaborating with academics on AI or is. IBM’s Blue Project is an example. There are many start-ups in the country which are doing great work in Image Analytics, Data Analytics, Predictive Intelligence etc. It is estimated that AI will add $957 billion to India’s GDP by the year 2035, leading to a 1.3% increase in India’s annual growth.
ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
ADVANTAGES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
There is utilization of machines for taking on complex and stressed work that would else be undertaken by humans.
Machines finish the task sooner than a human if assigned with the same task.
They can be used in discovering unknown landscapes and outer space which is useful in our daily life.
As the task is being done by the machines, it causes less stress and injuries to humans.
Providing assistance to people who are visually and hearing impaired.
Through artificial intelligence, understanding complex software can be made easier.
Less number of errors and defects.
Ministers resources and time. Time and resource are not wasted but smartly used to achieve the goal.
DISADVANTAGES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Lacks human sensation. Human qualities are ignored.
The ability to replace a human job. This gives rise to humans feelings insecure of losing their jobs.
A machine can replace human capabilities and therefore, it can promote inferiority feelings among workers and staff.
There can be malfunctioning in artificial intelligence and there is possibility of the reverse happening as they are programmed to do so.
The younger generations may be corrupted.
No information filtration.
There can be misuse of such technology and thereby causing a mass-scale destruction.
Benefits of Artificial Intelligence in several fields
In Policing: India still has a traditional policing system. AI based products open a new window of opportunity to do predictive policing in India. with the help of AI can predict crime patterns; Analyze multiple CCTV footage available across the country to identify the suspects. The government is digitizing all the records, especially by keeping the crime records at one place, which is called CCTNS where all data including image, biometrics, or criminal A convict or suspect’s history is available. In agriculture: It has many uses, for example, it can help to understand how much water a crop needs. To solve complex issues like efficient use of available resources. AI-based traffic management system with sensors, CCTV cameras, automatic number plate recognition, cameras, motion detection cameras, indicated pedestrian crossings.
Analyzing data: AI technology helps to analyze data and thus can improve the efficiency of systems such as power management in cars, mobile devices, weather forecasting and video.
Health sector: A joint venture between Microsoft and Indian start-up ‘Forus Health’ has developed a portable device called “3Nethra” that can screen for common eye problems as well as complex conditions like diabetic retinopathy.
Anya: A chatbot for patients’ queries. The information is medically verified. First of its kind.
IS AI MOVING TOWARDS SUPER INTELLIGHT MACHINES?
The question is pertinent since the revival of intelligent machines has not just created euphoria over its potential benefits but has also given rise to fears that it would replace humans. Even as robots are being made for performing simple human tasks that do not require complex problem-solving, there is a worry that planet Earth would turn into a place where humans would be salves to machines that would be more intelligent than them. Artificial intelligence is definitely trying to create machines and stystems that will be more intelligent than their predecessors. So, this march of AI may lead to a future where machines are extremely intelligent but the fears may turn out to be exaggerated.
Threat from AI
AI brings impressive applications to all of us with remarkable benefits; But there are remarkably unanswered questions with social, political or ethical aspects. We have to be aware of them.
AI-powered algorithms that manipulate appearances and Voices of people in real-looking footage.
Social manipulation: Cambridge Analytica and others linked to the firm that used data from 50 million Facebook users to try to influence the outcome of the 2016 US presidential election.
Integrity and Fair Systems: AI systems learn by analyzing large amounts of data and they continue to optimize through continuous modeling of interaction data and user-feedback. So, how can it be ensured that the initial training of AI algorithms is fair?
Cyber-crime: AI can be used to mount automated hacking attacks, commit financial fraud, cut through a country’s security infrastructure; may also promote terrorism and bigotry.
Access to data, knowledge, technology: In an interconnected world, very few companies are collecting vast amounts of data — access to this aggregated data will allow for accurate replay one’s day-to-day life in terms of activities, interactions and interests explicitly stated or implied; one (or some) can know anything about our mobility history and patterns, or about one’s earthly life pattern.
Invasion of privacy and social grading: Governments can use data to govern through AI, people’s social media habits, Police can present policies to people with the help of Face ID, as is done in countries like China.
Technological Unemployment: It is unemployment which is ‘created by machines’ i.e. jobs replaced by intelligent machines or systems. The environmental impact caused by data centers does not stop at electricity consumption.
STEPS TAKEN BY THE GOVERNMENT for AI
PM-STIAC identifies 9 National Science and Technology Missions: Mission 1 of those missions is the National Mission on Artificial Intelligence.
In the budget of 2018–19, the government has given new and emerging technologies.
Thereafter NITI Aayog took a three pronged approach, which included investigative proof of concept AI projects in various sectors, formulated a national strategy for building a vibrant AI ecosystem in India and collaborated with various stakeholders.
Experts and stakeholders: NITI Aayog circulated the note to set up a cloud computing platform called AIRAWAT (Artificial Intelligence Research, Analytics and).
Knowledge Assimilation Platform: As part of the initiative, NITI Aayog published the draft National Strategy for AI in the year 2018, planning its scope for research, adoption and commercialization.
It clearly envisioned an AI use case in sectors such as health, agriculture, education, smart cities and infrastructure, smart mobility and transportation.
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has also constituted a task force to explore the use of AI and Big Data technologies.
Measures to avoid misusing of Artificial Intelligence:
Without moral guard rails, AI would expand social and economic schism, amplifying any innate bias at an irreversible scale and rate and leading to discriminatory outcomes. It is neither enough nor justified to expect AI tech companies to solve all these challenges through self-regulation. Read full content visit here
Conclusion
The UN Secretary General’s Roadmap on Digital Cooperation is a good starting point: it addresses the need for multi-stakeholder efforts on global cooperation, so AI is used in a way that is “trustworthy, human rights-based, safe and sustainable.” be, and promotes peace”.
And UNESCO has developed a global, comprehensive standard-setting draft recommendation on the ethics of artificial intelligence for member states to consider and adopt.
The government should promote core and advanced research in AI. Creating regional innovation clusters to build automation and robotics in partnership with universities and start-ups, offering incentives for manufacturers.
Machine intelligence is an important element of national security strategy; So governments should evaluate models of defense research in collaboration with the private sector and universities dealing with AI.

Why one should have a MPPSC revision plan to crack their state service examination.
MPPSC 2021 Revision Plan - Revision is the most important part of exam preparation including the MPPSC. Students who are preparing for the MPPSC 2021 exam must have a strategic plan for revision to get the most out of the topics which have been studied. MPPSC syllabus is vast. To complete the MPPSC exam revision for all the subjects, candidates must have a revision plan. As per the previous year MPPSC toppers, teachers and experts from Sharma Academy MPPSC Coaching, students must revise the topic on a daily basis before going to sleep or first thing in the morning before starting any new topic. Also, Sunday or any other holiday must be devoted to revision of the important topics. Another most important part of MPPSC revision plan is to solve chapter-wise mock tests and full subject mock tests. Chapter wise mock test after studying and revising the chapter and full subject mock test after completing the whole syllabus. Students are also advised to regularly practice the MPPSC mock tests as and when the chapter is completed. This will help them in evaluating their preparation level, strong and weak points, mistakes they are making, time taken for solving the questions and much more.
MPPSC Prelims Revision Plan - Points to Look
Students must note that an effective revision plan for MPPSC must have proper time for all the subjects. Also, the revision plan must be such that every topic you study gets revised on a daily basis by the end of the day. Students who are dedicated and determined know how to crack MPPSC and know the importance of revision. If the topics are not revised, it could be difficult to recall it at the time of exam and if it happens, it would be very difficult to score good marks in exam. Students can also study with MPPSC Time Table if not able to manage the timing of study. Students are provided below some important points to look for while making a MPPSC revision plan.
Spend at least one hour for revision daily of all the topics which you study throughout the day.
Best time to revise is before going to sleep or in the morning before beginning the new topic
Holiday or Sunday must be a full revision day. Revise all the important topics, formulas, short tricks on holiday
Take mock tests after completing a chapter to know the preparation level
CONFIDENCE comes with CONSISTENCY – Consistency in studying, revising, practicing tests, analysing and improving.
First of all, do not get confused by different people / toppers suggesting different books. To clear the prelims, you need about 55-80% marks. So different people have different approaches to get 60%. So, choose a source and stick to it, no matter what.
Do not store 5 different MPPSC coaching institutes and collect their mppsc notes and study material. It will not make you intelligent, it will confuse you. And even if you learn something extra from a different source, analyse the cost-benefit scenario of that additional knowledge.
For some extra "edge" over others, you spend a lot of your time, costing time more because you need to revive everything.
When you start preparing, you take it slow, you look at each concept carefully, but remember that you need to plan your study in such a way that you not only do the course well Complete, but also give you at least five revisions. Everything. Have studied.
If you make a good plan you can give a lot of revisions and you can limit your sources to some standard and comprehensive books.
If you want to become a district collector, do not become a book collector. As I mentioned above there are many modifications to the key to crack prelims.
Multiple revisions are possible only when you limit your sources. As you can see in the sources I mentioned, I have suggested one or two sources for only one subject. Therefore, you should avoid buying many books on one subject.
For any query feel free to ask from our MPPSC Coaching in Indore experts by commenting below. Be in touch for your preparation and all the best.

Coaching for the MPPSC and UPSC Exam: Is It Necessary?
Tumblr media
This is a perennial question I get asked the most. And it’s understandable too. Many aspirants who begin their MPPSC preparation are clueless about this exam’s demands.
There are a lot of doubts and misconceptions regarding whether to take   coaching for State Services Exam MPPSC. So let me break it down for you.
Q. Is coaching necessary?
Think of an elite sportsman like Virat Kohli. Does he have a personal coach? Yes, he does. But would you say his career success is purely down to his coach? Of course not. Kohli trains and suffers day in day out, practices consistently to learn and improve his game. His self-discipline, hard work and the burning determination to excel at the game is what makes him the elite player he is.
Same goes with success in the MPPSC exam. Coaching merely helps you, it does not ensure you a rank. Your self-study, consistency, and the hard work you put in sitting at your study table matters far more than what you do in coaching classes.
So if you are attending coaching classes, do take their mppsc notes, but you should not rely excessively on them and neglect standard books. In my first Mains, I did this mistake of depending on coaching notes disproportionately— I barely read any of the standard books. When I wrote my first Mains in 2012, my lack of conceptual clarity was evident. Unsurprisingly, I failed to get an interview call.
Always remember that roughly, not more than 25-30% of your preparation should depend on mppsc coaching classes. To say that without coaching you cannot crack UPSC is to tell a lie. There are people who put in even that 25% of work by themselves and have cracked this exam (that is, they might have read coaching notes, but did not attend any classes.) So, it depends on your personal belief, self-discipline and your basic level of knowledge to determine whether you need coaching.
Suppose you know what standard books to study, what coaching notes to refer to, and by reading them you can understand the subject, that’s brilliant and you don’t need coaching.
On the other hand, if you are clueless about the exam process or the books you need to study, coaching institutes will help you get a broad idea. But as I said, you still must-read standard books, make required notes and put in the work to outshine your competition.
Q. How do you compare coaching in Delhi versus elsewhere?
As I had said, coaching does not constitute more than 25-30% of your preparation. And there’s nothing profound about coaching institutes in Delhi.
For those preparing in far flung areas, if you cannot afford to go to Delhi, that’s perfectly alright. You can get MPPSC notes of all the major coaching institutes in most cities. So make a trip once to your nearby city, buy them from a bookstore and study on your own.
Also, I believe internet has truly democratised information and made it accessible even to rural areas. These days many institutes are providing coaching classes via video lectures. You can opt for them too.
Moreover, online websites have emerged as brilliant and affordable alternatives to traditional coaching institutes. So if you cannot go to Delhi to take coaching, you are not losing out on anything.
Q. How helpful are coaching notes? Can they substitute standard books?
Standard books are important because they are written from the ground up and they form the foundation of your knowledge. Once you read standard books, reading coaching notes not only becomes much easier, but you can also see where in that big picture does a small topic fit in.
The problem with reading just the mppsc coaching notes is that they fail to you give you such big picture perspective. What you will be left with are fragmented concepts and broken knowledge which doesn’t stick for long in your memory. For long term memory, we need a topic’s context which is why you should always start with standard books.
For example, when I started Anthropology, I first read Ember & Ember to get an overview of the subject. Afterward, when I referred to Sharma Academy mppsc coaching material, I could clearly see how a particular topic such as Primate Adaptation fit into the larger concept of Human Evolution. This is why standard books are indispensable.
While reading coaching notes, remember these:
§  Coaching notes are helpful and easy to revise before the exam. But they can only supplement but never substitute standard books.
§  Always map your notes onto the chapters and topics in syllabus. Most coaching institutes do not cover the syllabus entirely. Even if they do, they usually rush through some chapters. So when you see a topic not covered well in your notes, read on your own from other sources and make notes.
§  Coaching notes and material come in handy to cover a specific topic. For example for a topic like Govt schemes, instead of you labouring to compile them from ministries’ websites, it’s better that you buy a compilation booklet of any institute. Smart work saves you a lot of time.
§  You have to remember that UPSC is not at all like a graduation exam. In college, it’s fairly easy to read just the notes and score really well. But in UPSC, the questions are of higher standard and of deeper analytical depth. None of the questions usually come directly from your coaching notes. It’s your clarity of concepts— especially in optional— that will help you write good answers.

Preparation Strategy for Working Professionals to Crack MPPSC exam
Preparation strategy for MPPSC Exam While Working
How to read (recommended approach for your mppsc exam learning)
1st Reading - The first time you’re reading the books, read them like a novel. Highlight the important points using a highlighter (in case of ebook) or a pencil (Hard copy). Keep a dictionary handy. If you come across any difficult word, look it up immediately. If you don’t understand a specific concept, use Google and read up about it. How to know what to highlight: It’s important that you know what information to highlight and what to ignore. While studying it is important to what to study and what not study, for this you can join any mppsc coaching to get a mentor or if you are doing self-study then this can be done by analysing MPPSC previous question papers. Analysing previous year’s question papers will help you understand the type of questions asked under each topic. For instance, if you’re studying about the various Government schemes and policies, you should focus on advantages & disadvantages of the policy, need for that policy and its approach. If you’re studying about a specific industry, your focus should be on the location of the industry, the factors affecting its location, challenges faced, opportunities and its current situation.
2nd Reading - Give a gap of about 2 to 3 days after your first reading, before you begin your second reading. During your 2nd reading, ignore the unwanted details and focus on the notes you had highlighted during your 1st reading. It’s a good idea to try and recall whatever you learnt your 1st reading before revising each chapter.
3rd Reading - Not that you’re done with your second reading it’s time to summarize what you have studies. The 3rd reading should be relatively faster than the 1st and 2nd. During the 3rd reading, glance through each chapters’ Highlighted parts. Try and relate the concepts you’re studying to current affairs, and connect the dots.
1. Establish a fixed routine
On weekdays you can get around 3-4 hours to study as you spend around 9-10 hours for work. You must set up a routine and be a stickler to successfully employ only three hours to study for the exam. Having a routine helps you develop good habits. In this way, you can also finish the entire course with weekly and monthly plans.
2. Internal MPPSC Syllabus
Since the major challenge for you is time management, you need to go through the syllabus properly and see which subjects should be prioritized and studied first. You must have a strong hold on the syllabus and should be read only in which it is mentioned accurately. When you make notes for revision, make them precise and to the point.
3. Prioritize Your Topics
It is very important to understand what to study and what not to study. Since you have to streamline your preparation, you should be able to take out irrelevant people. This will be possible if you go through previous years mppsc question papers; You should be back by at least 2010.
4. Stick to Some Books
Limiting resources for your MPPSC preparation is very important. You should mention only a few good books for MPPSC preparation. It will take a lot of time to read many books and you can read unnecessary things. What is important is to understand the topics correctly and be able to write the answer well. Therefore, read only a few recommended books and avoid getting confused.
5. Choose Your Alternatives Wisely
Choosing an optional subject that works best for you is very important. It is important to choose an elective that you are familiar with, preferably a subject that you have pursued for your graduate or related to your current job. That way you don't have to start from scratch. You can save a lot of time and effort and also prepare other subjects properly.
6. Practice
It is very important to practice answer writing to get good marks in the main examination. Along with this, you should also take a mock test, because practice makes a person perfect. You should somehow make time for this in your busy schedule. Successful aspirants are those who practiced question paper and answer writing.
