Auto Scaling Tomcat Web Servers on Amazon, Rackspace or HP Cloud
One way to reduce infrastructure costs is to add cloud machines only when they are actually needed. Cloudify v2.1 introduces scaling rules that add or remove servers automatically.
Here is a snippet from the recipe that adds one tomcat server if at least one tomcat instance has more than 1 request per second. This recipe is part of an automated test suite that runs on Amazon EC2, RackSpace nextgen Cloud and HP Cloud.
