[GOLSHIFTEH FARAHANI] — you see [LEILI ZAMANI] there? yeah, they’re [THE LOST SOUL] and they’ve lived in Havenport for [SIX YEARS]. [SHE] is [RATIONAL] & [HARDWORKING], even though most people think they’re [PESSIMISTIC] & [IMPATIENT].
tw: cancer, death, car crash
Born in Tehran, but Leili doesn’t remember much about it, since she moved to Havenport as a baby
Her parents pushed her to study hard in school so she could be a doctor or lawyer, but Leili’s true passion was the violin
She secretly applied to Julliard and gets in, and decides to go against her parents’ wishes. Her father is pretty disappointed in her so she basically stops talking to her parents
Leili actually is pretty talented at the violin and succeeds in becoming first violinist at the New York Philharmonic
Her father passes after a long battle with cancer, and despite knowing for a long time, Leili never went to visit him
She gets into a drunk-driving accident, and stops playing the violin as a result of it
Moves back to Havenport ~6 years ago to take over her father’s antiques store, and that’s where she’s been since!
Absolutely hates confrontation and dealing with emotions of any sort. Clams up when she’s forced to be soft and a “glass half-empty” sort of girl. Can you blame her?

[HENRY GOLDING] — you see [OSCAR FARADAY] there? yeah, they’re [THE ISOLATO] and they’ve lived in Havenport for [FIVE YEARS]. [HE] is [HONEST] & [PRAGMATIC], even though most people think they’re [STOIC] & [RUDE]. (ooc: mousse, gmt+2, she/hers)
hi hello it’s me mousse, and this my grump of a son, Oscar! more of an introduction under the cut!
So, Oscar didn’t grow up in Havenport. He actually grew up in Fayetteville, NC. More accurately, he was conceived and left to fend for himself, till Child Services got involved.
He grew up in the foster system, being passed around from home to home because of various conflicts; mostly stemming from the fact that Oscar was a difficult child to care for. He was moody and passive, had issues with his temper and overall, he was a certified Mess of a kid.
The one thing he has always loved is books. Books were the only people who seemed to understand Oscar, and he devoured them as soon as he got his hands on them. To be lost in a book is to find himself, he would say.
It was at the age of 12, that he found himself being fostered by a kind, older couple, the Faradays. They owned a little bookstore in town, had recently lost their kids to adulthood, and were looking for a helper and a surrogate son to love. And Oscar seemed to find himself at home with them. The bookstore had become his safe place, and as the months went on, Mister Faraday would let the kid work behind the counter and lock up after hours.
At 14, he had been adopted by the Faradays, becoming their legal son and heir.
At 23, after finishing community college in Fayetteville, Oscar had to come to face his one and true fear; the fear of loss. Something he had never felt before, he didn’t even realise that he had someone to lose, and that was Missus Faraday, and her lifelong battle with chronic pain and debilitating illnesses. And when she passed, the man realised that he did in fact have a heart.
Being left with a sizeable inheritance, Oscar moved as far away from Fayetteville, hoping to leave North Carolina in particular. But a pitstop in a local beach town, the FOR SALE sign on the door of an old store, and somehow...it had become five years, and Oscar now owned Pageturner.
It’s his baby, his pet project, and with all the time he gives the store, you would wish he would give it to anyone else.
For all that it’s worth, Oscar just doesn’t have the patience for small talk and beating around bushes. To him, words are precious and he doesn’t like wasting them on just anything.

[MICHELLE VEINTIMILLA] — you see [ZOE RUIZ] there? yeah, they’re [THE AIRHEAD] and they’ve lived in Havenport for [FOREVER]. [SHE] is [EAGER] & [CHARMING], even though most people think they’re [ANNOYING] & [CLUELESS]. (ooc: amanda, aest, she/her)
BIO:
Zoe’s life has never been anything out of the ordinary. Nothing special. She had plenty of friends in high school. Did cheerleading, theatre. Any sort of sociable after school activity. That sort of attitude had her dabbling in the underage drug and alcohol culture instead of studying, or trying especially hard at her homework.
She didn’t do the best when it came to finals. Didn’t get the scores she needed, not even close, to get into any reputable college. She blamed it on not being able to focus on her schoolwork, but the issues were a lot more underlying than that. She wasn’t exactly the brightest bulb. Wasn’t the sharpest tool in the shed.
This was especially obvious in comparison with her sisters: her oldest sister became a meteorologist, while the younger one became a midwife. They were both wildly successful in their careers, with love, with their families. And at such a young age, too. Zoe was stuck in the middle, stuck doing a one year program at a community college to become a dental assistant. It didn’t take her long to figure out that her dream of becoming a dentist would never be a reality.
Zoe had decided on doing dentistry when she was in elementary school. Unlike most kids, she loved going to the dentist. The rubber gloves on her gums, the metal instruments scraping against her teeth. Lollipops and candy as rewards, afterwards. Their family dentist had a unibrow. And Zoe’s favourite feature on a person was their smile, always. Smiles were always the best part of people.
After her year of community college, Zoe walked out with a diploma and a job as a dental assistant in her hometown. Working with the same dentist she’d been going to her entire life. Starting in the workforce so early, especially compared to her friends, did have its advantages. Zoe got to travel. Tried to travel every year. Europe, South America. She really enjoyed it. And while she wasn’t the smartest, she definitely had street smarts. Her parents called her worldly. And by the time all her high school friends graduated from a four-year college, Zoe already had a lot of real world experience over them. Ten years of full-time work under her belt.
During this time, she had a couple of relationships. One was incredibly long-term: from twenty-four-years old to twenty-eight. It only ended recently, when Zoe had decided she’d had enough of him making her feel stupid. It was a skewed power dynamic between them. He was studying to be an electrical engineer, and constantly held that intelligence over her head. While Zoe is glad it’s over now, she’s also thankful for the relationship. If it weren’t for him, she wouldn’t be reconsidering going back to school and fulfilling her lifelong dream of being a dentist. Not an assistant, but a dentist.
HEADCANONS:
Zoe’s parents own a pharmacy in town. Even though she was the middle child, she definitely got the most love and attention. She’s stayed in Davenport forever to keep close to them. Travelling every year keeps her from wanting to leave small-town life.
There’s only a two-year age gap between her and her sisters. The oldest is thirty-one this year, and the youngest will turn twenty-seven.
Zoe is the first to suggest karaoke, but never does it sober. Lucky she still loves to party! She’s a lightweight drinker, but still drinks a lot. Probably an unhealthy amount, but she doesn’t have that much self-awareness to realise that.
She was over the moon when she got braces at twelve-years-old.
Her uncle got his teeth fixed when she was a kid, and she saw how much it changed his life. How much it helped his confidence and his happiness. When people ask her, she attributes this as one of the things that sparked her desire to become a dentist.

[PETER GADIOT] — you see [ADRIÁN VELÁZQUEZ-SCOTT] there? yeah, they’re [THE THRILLSEEKER] and they’ve lived in Havenport for [THREE MONTHS]. [HE] is [FEARLESS] & [DECISIVE], even though most people think they’re [BOORISH] & [UNFRIENDLY].
tw: death, car crash, substance use
The product of a rich boy and a young maid. His parents had every intention on running away together, but his mother died during childbirth
His father went back home on one condition: that he keeps Adrian and raise him like his own, which he does
His father marries someone else, and Adrian has three half-siblings from that marriage, though he never gets close to them (aside from his youngest half-sister, who is a WC)
Man has always loved cars, and gets into stock car racing. Wins his first-ever big league race at 23 and is pretty well-known within that community
Of course, he gets a huge ego from it and wastes his talent by getting drunk and high all the time. It culminates to the point where he gets into a huge crash on the track so he gets kicked out from his team.
Sells all his worldly belongings and begins road-tripping across the states and happens across Havenport, and since he’s broke at that point, he stays by getting a job at the local mechanic
Personality-wise, he is kind of a douchebag and an idiot but like... is not afraid of getting into shit so please just involve him in all the shit

[INBAR LAVI] — you see [KARINA OHANA] there? yeah, they’re [DYSFUNCTIONAL] and they’ve lived in Havenport for [MOST OF HER LIFE]. [SHE] is [CREATIVE] & [DETERMINED], even though most people think they’re [JUDGEMENTAL] & [BLUNT].
BULLET POINT BIOGRAPHIES
Karina was adopted a little after she turned one. She has two dads, one of them is a school teacher, the other one is a firefighter. They grew up in a house on the beach, spending a lot of time outside and living a normal life.
When she was 14, her dads came home with a girl her own age, telling her that she would be staying a while. Karina already entered her teenage rebelling years, and she could see was her dads bringing this other girl in to replace her. So naturally, she was as mean to her as she possibly could be. It took some time for Karina to hear and truly understand that she was in fact not to be replaced, but that her dads were trying to help Cassie in a really horrible situation and that she gained a sister through this instead of an enemy. She got there, eventually, and once she apologized, the two of them slowly started building their bond and later Cassie got adopted into their family as well.
Around the time she turned 16, she started questioning who her birth parents could be and why she was put up for adoption. She had questions but her parents didn’t have answers, which she misunderstood as them not wanting to give her answers. She wanted to find them and she never realized just how much she was hurting her dads with that.
Around the same time, she also started to feel like she was being locked into this town and like she wanted to get out. She kept pushing and breaking the boundaries while her dads tried everything to stop it, which she understood as them not understanding her and wanting to punish her constantly, even when she didn’t do anything wrong. (Nothing was ever her fault, she never did anything wrong in her opinion.) So when she finished high school, she headed to the college on the other side of the country to get away from everything and she and her dads barely talked - or more like she barely talked with them despite them trying.
She was studying business because she was good at it, she understood and because she knew she could get into college with that, but she never liked it. She also couldn’t tell what would be something she would like to do, so business it was.
She managed to track down and find her birth mother in her second semester of college. She had such high hopes, but she got disappointed way too soon. She was a drug addict who kept going in and out of jail and the only reason she wanted anything from Karina when she realized who she was, was because she needed money. Money that she ended up giving her birth mother and vowed never to see her again. It didn’t work. The woman still occasionally called her and even though she tried not answering, after the third or fourth call her guilt won and she picked it up - just to tell the woman off, she told herself. Which she always did, and then eneded up giving her money anyway. The only good thing that came out of it was that she realized how lucky she was with her dads and started talking to them more again.
She also had to realize just how good of a place Havenport was while being away at college and then trying to find work once she graduated, and she started missing the place more and more, which resulted in her moving back home to her dads’ place and into her own room when she was 25.
She fell in love with tattoos during her college years, but even before that she really loved them and found them intriguing, she just didn’t have the guts to get them herself. She got her first tattoo in her first semester but didn’t think about becoming a tattoo artist until she was 23, doing a horrible temp job, trying to make ends meet and she was dating a tattoo artist at the time. The girl was the one who suggested it when she saw her doodles that meant escape and happiness go Karina for such a long time. First, it was just a weekend thing, trying to learn a trick here and there, and then it quickly became something Karina finally felt passionate about. When she came back to Havenport, she got a job on the outskirts of town as a tattoo artist and started making a name for herself in the business. She started thinking about making her own business out of it about 1-1,5 years ago and eventually opened her own tattoo shop three months ago. Currently she’s renting the place, but she hopes that once the business really kicks in, she could potentially buy the place for herself.
HEADCANONS
she’s demisexual
she has a black cat named addison
she has a milk allergy, thus has a really strict diet
she is learning how to play the guitar (she is really bad so far)
she hates getting up early, often times she is up well into the night
coffee is what fuels her, no coffee makes her rude and snappy and not fun to be around
she wears way too much plaid, at least 80% of her closet is that
she constantly wears a bunch of different rings on her fingers and has several earrings in at the same time, also has a belly button piercing
she loves butterflies and in elementary school she got into a fight with a boy who had a butterfly collection
there’s a huge rainbow constantly in the window of her tattoo shop
she calls one of her dads ‘dad’ and the other ‘pops’, but during her teenage years she started calling them ‘dad #1’ and ‘dad #2’ based on who she liked more at any given time. sometimes it changed five times a day, sometimes it stuck for a whole week, but it never really stuck for longer than that

[SCOTT EASTWOOD] — you see [LESLIE BRYANT] there? yeah, they’re [THE DETERMINED] and they’ve lived in Havenport for [25 YEARS]. [HE] are [GOOD-HEARTED] & [AMBITIOUS], even though most people think they’re [FICKLE] & [RECKLESS]. (ooc: peach, EST, she/her)
BULLET POINT BIOGRAPHIES
Since he was a little boy, Leslie had always seen his name surrounded by stars. He wanted the fame and fortune of the country singers he idolized. His parents who had their own success story in fields of medicine never really saw how their son could want to grow up as a country singer instead of something more concrete and stable, but they continued to support their boy’s dream.
He took singing lessons, was apart of the choir at church and in the few school talent shows he could do in order to get better. Sometimes he’d even watch documentaries on the different country singers to try to learn anything he could into being the best. His parents helped in buying his first guitar and setting up an old office space for his so-called sound studio. They made sure he still excelled in his schooling and kept up with their images of being the volunteering family with bake sales, parades, fundraisers. They wanted to make sure he could keep his humble roots and have a place to stay no matter what happened.
At the city’s summer fair in a talent show did Leslie find an opening for his goal. A talent scout from Raleigh had stumbled upon the city simply as a family get away trip and heard Leslie perform. Since then, his life of becoming a music star had lived for about five or six years with one small album under his name. He never did make it far simply because his stardom had been slowly falling off the charts with newer and newer people coming in to take his spot.
Now he’s back home in Havenport not sure exactly what to do next. So, he moved to his grandparents’ little farm and is helping them while he trying to figure out what he wants to do in life. It’s not much for him to go off on, but he likes to think that his hard work ethic and determination will at least help him get a good part time job to start while he takes in his parent’s advice on what they think he should do.
HEADCANONS
He has lived in Havenport his whole life besides when he went away to Nashville to get the classic country star experience.
His parents are both doctors, his father works in pediatric surgery while his mother works as a radiologist.
He has a younger sister who had a close relationship together but it has started to become strained with the pressure to figure out his plan B of life.
Though he has always considered himself wealthy at times, his parents made sure he never grew up to be someone who would flaunt their wealth over people.
Because of his upbringing in the medical field, everyone thought he would at least go to college for something in the medical field before his launch to fame.
He didn’t last long with the country music. It was about five or so years before things started to go downhill. He has one album under his name and a few popular singles, but nothing major like he had dreamed.
His grandparents are still very much alive but could no longer take care of their little plot of land like they used too. Therefore, he decided to move in with them so he could do it. It is not much besides a nice healthy garden and four horses.
Because of having to help fix things up around the house with help from the internet and the neighborhood handyman, he has been slacking on finding a part time job. He thinks working during the nights would be better.

Stable hand at Bryant’s Horse Farm

[MAIA MITCHELL] you see [REYNA FREDRIKSON] there? yeah, they’re [HOPLESS ROMANTIC] and they’ve lived in Havenport for [1 YEAR]. [SHE/HER] are [GENUINE] & [KIND], even though most people think they’re [DISORGANIZED] & [NAIVE].
PAST
Reyna was born in Toronto, Canada. She spent her childhood growing up in a small suburb outside the city until one day when her father was offered an amazing job opportunity. When she was 13, they moved to the States, an hour away from Havenport.
Reyna’s mother passed away when she was 7 and her older brother was 8. Her car was hit by a drunk driver one night when she was on her way home from work.
Reyna’s father is a well known marketing genius in the business world. After moving to the states, his career boomed and now he can live his life comfortably. (He’s got some money)
Reyna’s brother was her best friend growing up. Since they were so close in age, they were absolutely inseparable until their mother died. After that, their relationship drifted apart, especially after moving. Her brother became popular in high school while she did not. They kept to their own friend groups and only hung out at home.
Starting high school in a new country was weird for Reyna. There was a lot that was similar with how things are in Canadian schools, but some things were definitely different. The focus on sports, school dances and functions were tenfold than what she was used to.
Reyna has always been obsessed with cheesy romantic comedies, getting that from her mom. They used to put one on every Friday and cuddle up on the couch. It’s no wonder that Reyna would keep the tradition going, spending most weekends on the couch, in her comfies, watching cliche love stories until the morning sun. She spent so much time fantasizing about perfect movie moments that she missed out on making any of her own in high school.
She was always the one in the back of the class, doodling and barely paying attention, lost in her own daydreams. She kept to herself a lot, usually oblivious to the world around her.
She went to college to become a child psychologist, inspired by the lady who helped her after her mother passed away.
Reyna moved to Havenport after college, wanting to be on her own but still close enough to her father.
HEADCANONS
Her birthday is March 3rd, big pisces vibe
Reyna habitually drinks tea, never finding a liking for coffee. Every morning, she has a cup of orange pekoe tea with 2 milks and one sugar (depending if she’s feeling sweet or not).
Standing outside, under the moon and stars is where she feels most at peace. They have a calming effect on her.
Reyna is the one friend that everyone goes to for advice but never seems to know what to do with her own problems
She’s a giver, always going out of her way to help others before she helps herself.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Counsellor/child psychologist - works for the school mainly but helps out at the police station when needed with certain cases.
