“Hugin and Munin fly each day over the spacious earth.
I fear for Hugin, that he come not back, yet more anxious am I for Munin.”

Long story short: I hated the other face up to much and decided to scrub it off. While redoing it I decided to keep it blushed only, the head itself is already very outstanding, too much paint doesn’t work for it.
No mustache but you can’t have everything, right?

1. Where I live and where I've been in terms of physical setting (hills, scraggly oak trees, big tall oak trees, canyon mountains, desert, etc.) is inserted everywhere into my writing.
2. SECETS. I gotta have plot reveals and character reveals. I die for it every time I write or read or watch.
3. Hate to love (platonic, romantic, familial, I don't care). Secret identities, special people.
4. Prophecies and love triangles. Unless it's ridiculous and mocking.
5. Make up about 5,000 titles over the course of five years or the title magically appears in my brain upon writing the first chapter. no between.
6. The research behind it. I loooove researching mythologies, time periods, etc., for the sake of worldbuilding.
7. Something a bit new, something a bit old.
8. The latest book I've read, plus Six of Crows and The Ocean at the End of the Lane.
9. Neil Gaiman, Brandon Sanderson, and Stephen King.
10. I tell one person everything, then hide the rest.
11. Lovingly sarcastic characters interacting with goofballs.
12. Scenes! I think I'm good at making tense scenes.
13. Hell no. People might be listening.
14. How? My writing is more subtle. The characters more dynamic. I don't struggle with writing people who aren't of my age/gender. My descriptions are more fluid and are well distributed. Details are better chosen. I have a stronger voice. I'm not so repetitive. In short: everything has changed.
15. Describing fights. I understand the emotion behind it and I'm great at flight scenes, but actual combat is difficult.
16. The moment I realized my main protagonist was afraid of ravens because she had been a spy whose master used ravens as a symbol. Then the moment I realized that her spy name, Hugin, means thought, and she's an illusionist who creates things from her thoughts, then the moment realizing the creature which makes her remember is Munin, meaning memory, and also a fellow spy ... ahh the satisfaction of it all coming together as if it was fate.
17. Writing exercises! The best thing to strengthen my weakens turned out to be exercises. I usually use short stories. I wasn't comfortable writing in 1st person, so I just practiced writing in 1st person without any intention of sharing anything (frees up the worry about writing something good). Write for the sake of getting better, in addition to writing for the sake of writing.
18. I have no friggin clue. My ideas don't come as quickly as they used to.
19. Sitting in the corner of my little private library, wearing headphones, sipping coffee. The room is neat and organized and no one lives in this house but me.
20. I love my WIPs. All of them, for different reasons. There's this one WIP that I love for seemingly no reason.
20 Questions for the writer
Because these games are so nice I wanted to try making one up!

4. What clichés do you hate the most?

6. Tell us about the things you love best in worldbuilding.
7. When you choose a new book, what do you look for?
8. What are your literary inspirations?
9. What are your real-life inspirations?
10. Are you the kind of writer who overshares about every little thing or do you keep it all under wraps till it’s done?
11. What’s the easiest character for you to write?
12. One thing you are pretty proud of - your style, a work, a scene, a character?
13. Do you read out loud to yourself as you write just to gauge the feeling of it?
14. How has your writing changed throughout the years?
15. What’s the most difficult thing for you to write?
16. Share a happy memory related to your writing.

WIP of the furry/monster falls au version of the ford-saken badegg figure. Including my annoyance of having to travel for work immediately after I started on it...

Realized I never posted the very first figure I made! I made it spur of the moment probably about half a year before I did any of the others, and with an air-dry clay specifically bought for taxidermy purposes. It was directly inspired by fanart (this one mostly, and to my delight in the time since they've released another). It's incredibly adorable, and originally I was like I NEED to sew a plushy version, and knowing I didn't have material to do that, realized that that what I DID have was the air dry clay, and so it went. I still want to eventually make a plushy of him tho... that would be adorable and snuggly.
Some WIP photos below the cut!

Middle photo is right before painting; got to paint him while hanging out with a friend, which was delightful!

I really really like to blush things, but doing linework on dolls just isn’t my cup of tea. I always end up being disappointed in myself q.q
At least I can blush? Yay? In short: Face up & Bodyblushing for Lantern, Hand blushing for Vincent.
