Compile Heart has announced Hyperdimension Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Switch, the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals. It will launch on August 10 in Japan for 8,500 yen. A “Victory Special Edition” and Digital Deluxe Edition will also be available for 12,100 yen, and a “New Recruit Welcome Box” edition for 18,480 yen.
Hyperdimension Neptunia GameMaker R:Evolution is a spin-off starring Adult Neptune and set during an era of competing game studios. After three game developer goddesses lost the race for “market share” in game sales and went under, Adult Neptune—a traveler of many dimensions who suddenly appears in their world—is tasked with reviving the fallen developer when the three goddesses ask her to become their president. Will she be able to save them from being labeled “failure goddesses” and dropping off the map?
The new goddesses are illustrated by Tsunako, who also created Neptune. Players will be able to enjoy enhanced dungeon exploration, game studio management, and more alongside them. Your party consists of four characters. Some dungeons include fields like cities and forests. Players will be able to travel at high-speed by motorcycle, and some dungeons even have racing segments. For management parts, the goal is to grow the small developer “Victory” via various elements such as scouting staff, game development, expanding the company building, and more.
Confirmed characters include:
Adult Neptune – Her role as company president also serves as a means of finding the Nep-Note, which she dropped. She is a wandering insect hunter with an awakened form reminiscent of a butterfly.
Pipi (voiced by Yuko Natsuyoshi) – Confident, reckless, and with a leader-like mentality, she considers herself the smartest person in the world. She is the producer who goes by the name “Pipi-P.”
Jarga (voiced by Satsuki Miyahara) – A cool girl who considers herself the best calculator in the world. She prefers to talk using abbreviations like “GGDD” (gongo doudan, absurd). She handles production and public relations.
Lideo (voiced by Hina Youmiya) – A mad scientist who spews venom with a smile. She considers herself the most sensible person in the world. She handles programming and graphics.
Croire (voiced by Mika Kanai) – Croire has gotten a little bigger. She was sealed in the Nep-Note by Adult Neptune, but has been freed and is in hiding at a pirate maker’s base.

Well if you want some Nep news. Ova 3 released in middle of July 2022, Sister vs Sister released, and a new game “Hyperdimension Neptunia: GameMaker R:Evolution” with Adult Nep as the protagonist is coming out.
"We know about Sister vs Sister at least."
"We had to stop Sonya from turning Nepgear's backside as red as a cherry when she decided to pull out the Conquest Sword again..."
"I'm happy to report that the sword has been removed and placed in a secure location. One that Nepgear is permanently banned from."

3 days until Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is released
When it comes to Discovery Kids LA and Brazil shows, Underdogs United seems to be only one that is ALWAYS left out. No matter where what site I go on, you'd be hard pressed to find ANY content related to the show. Even Ba Da Bean and Presto! School of Magic, two other underrated shows on DK LA, get more love than Underdogs United had during its 52 episode run time. Hell, I can even argue that most of Discovery Kids LA's programming that isn't Doki!, Kung Fu Wa, Peppa Pig, or any other aquired programming from the channel rarely receives the same amount of love and notability that the aforementioned shows get. Even DK LA themselves seem to ignore the existence of this show, considering that they put Earth to Luna, the aforementioned Peppa Pig, and Mini Beat Power Rockers on a high pedestal (funnily enough is that MBPR is animated by the same studio behind Underdogs United, Mundoloco Animation CGI).
I think the biggest issue for Underdogs United not getting enough attention is mostly due to it being a spin-off of Metegol, an award-winning Argentinian film by Juan J. Campanella that spawned several comics and a video game. Given that the latter is far more beloved and recognized than the former, it's easy to see way fans of Metegol were upset of how the show turned out - kiddie-fied 2D animated spin-off that has very little in common with the film it's based on beyond having three of the twelve Foosball players return (and even then, they were overhauled in both appearance, personality, and even voice acting wise from what they were originally depicted to fit the tone of the show, with one of them being renamed). It's basically the same reaction Teen Titans Go! got a decade ago when compared to the OG series (albeit in a lot less vitriol way).
Even the information regarding the show itself is scarce at best; there is no official wiki on it, English or Espanol, the voice actors for the English and Portuguese dubs are uncredited, with the dubs themselves being borderline lost media, some of the VAs for the original Argentinian dub that isn't the titular team and Waldobert Worst are also uncredited, we don't know directed the dubs for all three languages nor do we know the dubbing behind them, and the closest information we get to the history if the show is through news articles that are also in Spanish.
TLDR; Underdogs United is a super obscure and underrated cartoon that seriously needs more love than it deserves. This cartoon came out in 2022 and I can't let it fade to obscurity like some of the other cartoons that came before it.
Maybe some day, we might see a Colbert Bump where the show gets a crossover with a far more popular cartoon (which I'm highly going to assume is TTG since WBD owns Cartoon Network and Discovery Kids) or a Harvey Birdman style re-imagining (though I doubt that's gonna happen given the backlash against reboots that's currently happening). Regardless of which hypothetical route the show could go with, the point is that I REALLY want Underdogs United to get recognized (especially in the West), not overshadowed by it's predecessor.

4 days until Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is released
Today marks the 20th anniversary of OS-tan, a Japanese meme that originated on 2chan, depicting several operating systems (namely Windows) as anime girls. ME-tan, their first creation, is based on Windows ME, a bug-ridden mess of an OS that was discontinued by Microsoft not long after it was released. Futaba Channel's portrayal of her is of a ditzy but kind-hearted Cute Clumsy Girl with a leak as an item. Later OS-tans would be followed, from the mature business woman 2k-tan to the lovable big eater XP-tan aka Saseko.
In 2009, Microsoft Japan released their own official OS-tan to promote the release of Windows 7 in Japan. Her name is Nanami Madobe, a friendly and peppy girl who represents Windows 7 and is voiced by popular idol/voice actor Nana Mizuki. Later on, other members of the Madobe family would be introduced - Yuu and Ai Madobe, the twins who represent Windows 8, Claudia Madobe, the business woman who represents Microsoft Azure, along with a spin-off comic called Cloud Girl, and Touko Madobe , the time traveler from 100 years in the future who represents Windows 10. Microsoft Singapore and Microsoft Taiwan would follow suit with their own respective versions of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Silverlight - Inori and Hikaru Aizawa. Personally I prefer this version over the above version, though both are equally as good.

6 Days until Game Maker R:Evolution is released: Happy belated 17th anniversary, Rhythm Tengoku! (and the Rhythm Heaven franchise as a whole)
The Rhythm Heaven franchise is and forever will be my favorite rhythm game franchise of all time. Even though Nintendo isn't promoting it anymore, its fan base is still active with two open source programs (Remix Editor and Heaven Studio) on GitHub.

9 Days until Game Maker R:Evolution is released
After 3 years of using my main account and only 4 months of using my second account, I have officially and permanently quit Twitter. I've already mentioned my reasoning on staying from that site, but to summarize: I don't want to be associated with a site that has the most toxic user base ever and is owned by a greedy, egotistical billionaire who doesn't know how to run a site properly without overhauling a few features that pleases him.
To coincide with my departure, I decided to wipe out any traces of the site from my browser history, both on my chromebook and on my phone (though mentions of the site from other websites can stay). While yes, I am saddened that all of the very few good content on there will be erased and most likely not archived, It believe that was for the best.

Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution headcanon English dub voices
Happy Thanksgiving break everyone! To celebrate the beginning of this week, I made a video showcasing the characters from Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution and their hypothetical English dub voices, made in the style of the appropriately-titled Headcanon Voices and based on a post I made three months ago, albeit with a few updates.
For Reedio, I chose Hannah Alyea (Aoi Inuyama from Laid-Back Camp [seen in the video], Cecilia from Saint Cecilia and Pastor Lawrence, Lychee from Handyman Saitou in Another World, Marybelle from Crush Crush) purely because I really liked her laid-back voice as the aforementioned Aoi since it fits with Reedio's ditzy, laid-back but otherwise friendly personality. But if I wanted to go with a more "realistic" choice (Alyea is more of a Texas-based voice actor), my second choice would be Cat Protano (Setaria, Pain-Grocer, Young Lyney, and Skirk from Genshin Impact, Tiadosia "Tiger" Kallister from Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS, Marie Anto from Persona 5 Tactica, Ohara from Pokemon: Paldean Winds [seen in video], Aria Shibuya from Love Live! Superstar!!). Even though Protano doesn't do the "laid-back" or "soft-spoken" characters that often, she does do the "nerdy" types, so I believe that she can nail at doing Reedio. In fact, I couldn't decide which actress could best fit Reedio, so I ended up choosing both ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
For F-Sha, even though Dawn M. Bennett can do deep voices, Lailia Berzins (Xiao from Genshin Impact [seen in video], Mrs. Croaker from Amphibia, Demeter and Persephone from Hades) is actually much closer to her Japanese voice actress, Mana Nakatomi, in terms of deep and androgynous voices.
So yeah, that's all I have to say. I'll re-blog this post once the game comes out here.
(And yes, I am aware that I spelled "Journeys" on Pokemon Ultimate Journeys wrong. I didn't have enough time to edit it before exporting the video)

2 days until Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is released
At this rate, I'm running out of things to post. But for the sake of this post, I'm actually doing something related to the game.
Now, since the game's US release date has yet to be revealed (since we only got the year of it's release, which is 2024), and that it will probably take until after the game's for the dub cast to reveal on Twitter that their the voices of the new characters, I've made a headcanon for how the cast would sound in English.
The first ones would be the Failure Goddesses - Pippih, Jagaa, and Reedio. For Pippih, it will be Lisa Reimold (Framme from Fire Emblem: Engage; Liliana Pinnata from Death end re;Quest; Kurumi from Lycoris Recoil; Turi from Ascendance of a Bookworm). For Jagaa, it will be Amber May (The Narrator from Komi can't Communicate; Dehya from Genshin Impact; Yanqing from Honkai: Star Rail; Kami from Ba Da Bean). For Reedio, my closest suggestion would be Faye Mata, who previously portrayed Ai Masujima in Hyperdevotion Noire: Goddess Black Heart, God Eater in Megadimension Neptunia VII, and Paix St. Gliss in Super Neptunia RPG, as well as being the voice of Aqua from KonoSuba, Malty S. Melromarc from The Rising of the Shield Hero, Astolfo from Fate/Apocrypha, and Kagami Tsurugi from Miraculous Ladybug. My other suggestions for Reedio would be either Emily Frongillo (Yumi Funaberi from Shin Ultraman, Chica from Fazbear and Friends, and a few additional voices from Arte), Sam Slade (Abigail Bloodroose from Epic Seven; Janet from Brawl Stars; Title (Nut) from Dislyte; Huwa and Jiangli from Genshin Impact), Anairis Quiñones (Nessa from Pokemon: Twilight Wings, Miriko from My Hero Academia, Echidna from Re:Zero, Miyuki Shiba from The Irregular at Magic High School, and upcoming character Lynette from Genshin Impact, as well as replacing Christine Marie Cabanos as Snow White in Mary Skelter Finale due to the latter being on maternity leave at the time), or Elizabeth Maxwell (Rosaria from Genshin Impact; Natasha from Honkai: Star Rail; Winter Schnee from RWBY; Ymir from Attack on Titan; Nikki from Camp Camp; Ashmedia from Trillion: God of Destruction)
As for the other characters, I can predict Dawn M. Bennett (Female Shez from Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes, Yukong from Honkai: Star Rail, Kale from Dragon Ball Super, and Sody Pop from Chikin Nugget, as well as replacing Karen Strassman as Aigis in the upcoming Persona 3 Reloaded) as F-Sha, Justice Washington (Issac the Estoc from Boyfriend Dugeon; Mack Starz from Chronexia and the Eight Seals; Crunchy Chip Cookie from Cookie Run Kingdom) as Copy the Hard, Hayden Daviau (Priestess from Goblin Slayer; Rina Tennouji from Love Live! Nijigasaki High School; Mary from Pokemon Journeys; Yasuko Kouenji from The Helpful Fox Senko-san) as Copy the Art, and Kimberley Anne Campbell (Hayase Nagatoro from Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro; Nahida from Genshin Impact; Dawn from Pokemon Masters; Kyuuma from Fly Me to the Moon; Typhon from Re:Zero) or Dani Chambers (Nilou from Genshin Impact; Arlan from Honkai: Star Rail; Becky Blackbell from Spy x Family; Emilico from Shadow House; Chise Hitori from The Ancient Magus' Bride) as Copy the Code.
That's just my theory though. I might reblog this post if IFI announces a different EN cast from my hypothetical EN cast.

5 days until Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution is released
I find it funny that Copy the Art, one of Arfoire's subordinates and the main antagonists of Game Maker, is more of a Rei Ayanami Expy than Blanc (the short-tempered kuudere) and Anri (who has more in common with Origami that Rei) despite the latter two being playable characters. I mean:
She has light blue messy hair
She has red eyes
Is described as shy and not good with communicating with others (Blanc is kinda like that, but she's at least confident enough to talk to others)
Looks like a human but obviously isn't (considering that she and Copy the Code are the only ASIC members to look like naturally colored humans but have designs comparable to the CPUs)
...And that's pretty much it. Obviously there's no love interest (at least not canonically), and I don't know if she grow out of her shyness, but it's still funny to think about a villain having more qualities of a heroic character from a different source material than the heroes themselves.

Change of plans
5 days ago, I made a post about me counting down the days I went without using Twitter, from the first of August to the last day of December, but I realized that making a that would be too redundant, as I've already made one about me leaving Twitter and I don't need one about me after I left Twitter. Plus it would be tiresome to make countdown post for each and every day of the week.
Instead, I'll make one for the release of Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution, which is slated to release on August 10, 2023 alongside the Nintendo Switch port of Neptunia: Sisters Vs Sisters. I'll go back and edit the posts I made days ago, including the one pictured above. I might also do the same thing for the game when for its Western release date.
UPDATE: Replaced the "txt post" tag with the "change of plans" tag because the former tag is meant for text post only, not images or screenshots. Sorry.
UPDATE 2: I rewritten all of the previous posts and deleted my "x days without using twitter" tag on said posts.
#neptunia#hyperdimension neptunia#hyperdimension neptunia gamemaker r:evolution#neptunia gamemaker r:evolution#change of plans#yes it feels weird that I'm editing my earlier posts to coincide with this change but take my word for it

7 Days until Game Maker R:Evolution is released: My OS-tan re-interest
I remember losing interest on OS-tan after Neptunia Sisters Vs Sisters introduced Maho and Anri, the personifications of Mobile phones and Android/iOS operating systems respectively (though I prefer them being the Android and iOS/iPhone representation). This of course caused some coexistent problems with the Windows and Mac OS-tans, as it's stated that Maho's sister represents PC as a whole... which every version of Windows comes from.
Naturally this caused me to merge the OS-tan project into the Neptunia canon, even having CPUs based around operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, and ChromeOS), but that would mean I would have to create individual CPUs based around specific operating systems (like Linux having several distributions like Ubuntu and Debian) and develop them all out once, which would create a bloated cast. This lead be to abandoning that concept and putting a hold to the OS-tan project in favor of developing my Channel-tan project.
But as the months followed, I decided to revisit the series for nostalgia purposes, and honestly, I'm pleasantly surprised how this series still has a following. Sure, Microsoft Japan stopped advertising it, and the Futaba and Nijiura boards most likely lost interest in it, but it still has an active social media following on Pixiv, Reddit, and even this site itself. In fact, there is a dedicated wiki made by the fans:
OS-tan.moe, which was created after the previous wiki, OS-tan collections, was abandoned, having last updated on January 18, 2017. The wiki covers more about the OS-tan lore and establishes the "Futabaverse" (Futaba/Nijiura created OS-tans) and "Madobeverse" (Microsoft Asia/Japan created OS-tans) as separate universes. Case in point...
The Madobe family tree! According to its article on the moe wiki, there are 3 lineages of the tree - Madobe, Nezu, and Shirato. The surname Nezu is an anagram of Zune (Microsoft's defunct iPod competitor). Each of the family's names are based around each version of Windows, e.g. Goichi's name is derived from Windows NT 5.1 (Windows XP's kernel name); the Kanjis in his name are a translations of 5 (Go) and 1 (Ichi). I actually like this concept, having a family tree of descendant from a different generation representing a real-life product (hardware or software) or broadcast station from a different decade, rather than having 11 or so woman in one house being taken care of a parental figure who seems to represent the company who made them. It's a shame we never get to see their faces aside from Claude and Mutsumi nor does the family tree lore go beyond that.
So ahh, I don't know how to end this one, but yeah potato patato that's the end of this post. Bye.

8 Days until Game Maker R:Evolution is released
Since I have 2 weeks before I got back to school, I'll make the most of my remaining summer breaks by focusing on the "Channel-tan" project I've largely forgotten since my Animax 25th anniversary post.
While Rebineru was my official title for the series, I was still considering changing the name to something more... "fitting"; like "Project: Dianshi" (Dianshi is the Chinese etymology for television) or even my original title "Channel-mania!". For now, "Rebineru" is the series' working title.
