Depressed

Slowly decends into madness/spirals/gets obsessed over something to the point where they destroy their lives over it

Here are other minor signs you might want to look out for (doesn't apply to all Mad Scientist):

Very pathetic. A loser, if you will

Is gay

Wears glasses

Has a best friend who is extremely friendly and also a poet

Graying hair despite their relatively youthful appearance

Can be a little bit silly (as a treat)

Note that not all Mad Scientists are actual scientists. The Mad Scientist can be disguised as something else and may try to trick you; do not be fooled. Look for these traits to identify a real wild Mad Scientist.

Started playing playing hollow knight past few days xd

Thinking of Simon Riley taking care of you while you're sick, but in the quiet sort of way. He wouldn't so much vocalize his concern, but rather make you tea and get you soup even if it's from a can (let's be real. It's definitely from a can), bringing it to you without anything more than a word or two. He's reading nearby to keep an eye on you, always keeping tabs on the time to make sure you take your meds if you're sick enough to need them, checking in every so often to make sure you're doing okay and not feeling any worse. Bringing out a thermometer and either taking your temp himself or making sure you do it in the proper intervals. Would also sit through godawful daytime tv or terribly cheesy movies with only mild complaints if that's how you choose to spend your suffering (as opposed to straight up telling you he'd rather spend his time arguably any other way).

10/10 would make jokes about you though.
