I’m bored and procrastinating so let me spout my rid2015!smokebee propaganda at y’all please just hear me out

Now y’all maybe wondering “why are you specifying rid2015?? Smokescreen was only in TFP, bro doesn’t exist in rid2015–” EXACTLY! Smokescreen wasn’t in rid2015 so most of the stuff made for the ship is for them in TFP but that’s not what I’m trying to sell y’all on

I’m trying to sell y’all on the idea that — if Smokescreen was in rid2015, he would be in a relationship with Bee — hence the specification

Now what y’all are probably asking is “why????”

Well that’s what this post is for!! First off:

The Shenanigans

Idk if y’all remember but Smokey was the silliest bot on Team Prime, easily the most immature mf in the main cast (other than Miko) — now try to tell me without lying to my face that he wouldn’t fit in perfectly with the goofy goobers the make up Team Bee??

He would definitely see himself in Sideswipe and try to bond with him thru pranks and goofing off while also trying to guide him into avoiding the same mistakes he made (ex. Hard Knocks)

He probably makes Strongarm feel conflicted cuz his reckless personality clashes with her image of what an “Elite Guardsman” would act like, but I think Smokescreen would just try to get her to loosen up a bit while not bickering with her unlike what Sideswipe and her usually do

Upon seeing Grimlock he’d immediately go “HOLY SCRAP ARE YOU A DINOBOT!?!?!”, he thinks Grim is so cool and really wants to spar with him

He probably sees Arcee in the way Drift acts and respects him a lot just based on that alone, though he knows it’s gonna take time for him to earn that respect back from Drift (I LOVE HIS CHARACTER GROWTH IN PRIME AND I WILL KEEP THAT IN THIS SILLY LITTLE IDEA OF MINE, HE DID GET BETTER AND I HATE IT WHEN PEOPLE IGNORE THAT JUST CUZ THEY FIND HIM ANNOYING)

He’s probably not met much minicons so he’s not used to them, but I can see him having a good friendship with Fixit and being very nice to Jetstorm and Slipstream

He takes one look at Russell, turns to Bee and says “do you have a thing for human kids with brown hair and names starting with R??” Other than that I think he vibes with Russell and Denny well

As for his dynamics with the Decepticons — he’d be making constant quips, he’d make fun of all of them immediately like a robot alien version of Spider-Man — after previously fighting against Megatron himself he cannot take any of the furries of rid2015 seriously

The Fluff

Look at me. Like seriously look at me. Look into my eyes and imagine with me for a sec.

Bee and Smokey learning how to work with each other in the field again, reminiscing about the rare good memories during the war

Bee infodumping about Earth culture to him while Smokey just listens while looking at him with borderline heart eyes

I think Bee really likes physical affection and words of affirmation so randomly Smokey will just hug Bee when they’re in the scrapyard and will compliment him when he does well at leading and mentoring the others cuz he knows that shit ain’t easy (again, he sees himself and Sideswipe and realizes “damn I really was annoying holy scrap I’m so sorry”)

I HC that Smokey can still move his doorwings like he and Bee did in TFP, so whenever he sees Bee and gets excited his flap up and down (I know this is purely self indulgent BUT IN MY DEFENSE THIS ENTIRE POST IS ME BEING SELF INDULGENT, THIS FANDOM IS ALREADY DEAD AS HELL I’D BE SURPRISED IF ANYONE EVEN READS THIS FAR INTO THIS POST, LET ME BE SELF INDULGENT IN PEACE)

When either of them get bad days where they just keep thinking about the war, they do their best to comfort each other thru it cuz, unlike the rest of the team, they were both there for most of the late-war-shit together on Earth — and for the stuff that Smokey wasn’t there for, he just listens and makes sure Bee knows that he’ll always be there for him

The shock of the team finding out that Bee has a partner is amazing and it could happen in so many ways (if y’all wanna see one of my interpretations on how this could go you could check out my fanfic: Old Recruit on AO3)

The team seeing their usually serious team leader be partners with this unserious constant-joker of a bot stores a lot of cute potential stories in it that no one is writing about — like come on guys I want Bee trying to be serious in the scrapyard but then Smokey just hugs him from behind out of nowhere and Bee just has to process it for a sec cuz touch starvation go brrrr while the rest of them is like :O

The Angst

While this section is mainly Smokey focused more than smokebee focused, I’m still adding it cuz this still falls under the “what if smokescreen was in rid2015” idea

Smokey definitely has claustrophobia and a hatred for being restrained in anyway from the TFP (waking up captive on a Decepticon ship after being knocked out, Knockout restraining him on his operating table while he tears the Omega Key from inside his body, being stuck with a dying Optimus in a cramped cave for a while panicking cuz holy shit Optimus, his #1 hero, is fucking dying) so any mission that requires going into a cave or dark & cramped area is gonna cause him to freak out — but of course he wouldn’t actually admit that until it’s too late and he’s having a breakdown in a cave cuz he didn’t want to let his “stupid irrational fear to ruin a mission”

Same goes with Bee and his fears — I touched on this a bit earlier, but Bee & Smokey definitely have some days where they’re gonna feel off and they can’t get the war out of their heads — and those days are gonna be the worst cuz most of the team outside of maybe Drift won’t really understand it

Smokey is gonna have some feelings about Optimus coming back and Bee not telling him immediately — while this isn’t the first time Optimus died and came back to him, last time it was for a few seconds, this was for THREE WHOLE YEARS — he’s still gonna be happy that he’s back, it’s just gonna take awhile longer for him to be ok with it than the others (the way that Ratchet is immediately ok with Optimus coming back out of nowhere in rid!2015 was weird to me so I’m fixing that with Smokey)

While he loves giving Bee physical affection, he hates unwarranted touching from anyone else, specifically stuff like pats or punches on the back (Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha Trion when I get you Alpha Trion Alpha—)

For a potential angsty introduction to Smokey in rid2015: He doesn’t meet up with Team Bee until the finale episode on Cybertron, where he’s being mind controlled by The High Council to capture them (I’m a sucker for brainwashing/mind control/hypnotism plots so I need to understand how BADLY I WANTED THIS TO HAPPEN IN THE SHOW IT WOULD’VE BEEN SO COOL)

That’s all I can think of for now, I just love these funky big robos a lot and I’m currently smashing their faces together like a kid with 2 Barbie dolls in my mind, hope y’all enjoyed reading <3

BUT I CANNOT REST FOR I HAVE MADE MORE:

Jino (tooth)- Kenge’s oldest sibling who brings back some bad memories. He hasn’t changed since he was a hatchling and is the only animal who is able to call Kenge a “little lizard” without getting bitten, likely due to Kenge being secretly scared of him. It isn’t until he brings up Ushari (thinking he ditched Kenge, not knowing about his death) that Kenge finally stands up for himself and puts his brother in his place.

“Once a little lizard, always a little lizard”-Jino at Kenge

Voice claim: Peter Dinklage

Honestly, that would be a pretty good fanfic. Jino comes to visit and everyone in the Outlands gets to see a whole different side to Kenge. Like, he goes from an aggressive lizard with a Napoleon complex to just…freezing. And this surprises everyone cuz the Kenge they know would NEVER act like this. The most he’d do is get angry while Jino taunts him, orders him around, steals his food, and steps on his tail. Jasiri, being the good queen she is, tries to understand what Kenge’s going through, even trying to get the two brothers to get along. Kenge finally breaks after he witnesses Jino telling the others stories about their childhood. He tries to stand up to him, but Jino just laughs and calls him “little lizard”. Everyone thinks Kenge would snap and attack his brother, but merely lets out an angry yell and walks away. Jasiri chases after him, asking if he’s okay, then Kenge opens up about everything. After some encouragement from Jasiri and the skinks (and Jino mentioning Ushari), Kenge decides he’s had enough of his trauma haunting him and stands up to his eldest brother once and for all via pinning him to the ground and letting everything out. This sends Jino submitting to Kenge for once, apologizing, and running back home

-There would be numerous flashbacks and mini flashbacks from Kenge’s past throughout the fic: from meeting Ushari to biting his first victim

-We’d get to see Ushari’s reaction to everything as well (He hates Jino)

Maji (water)-A tough female nile monitor with no filter who can be just as aggressive as Kenge is. She has this sort of enemies to lovers relationship with him, with him being jealous that she’s bigger than he is. Slowly but surely, the mutual hatred turns into feelings the more they find out how alike they are and they become mates

Voice claim: Joan Cusack

-While Kenge claims to be the biggest lizard in the Outlands, Maji says she’s the biggest lizard in the Pridelands

-The rivalry starts when she steals Kenge’s food right in front of him, then when he tries to fight her, she pins him down

-From there, they always find ways to show off and one-up each other

-They end up having a bragging contest which ends in them going from yelling to aggressive kissing (whatever the lizard equivalent looks like)

-After a stupid amount of time processing their growing feelings for one another, they finally just confess and become the badass couple. Kenge has a soft spot for her

-Kenge was a stammering mess cuz he couldn’t find the right words when Maji just flat out told him

-Unlike her mate, she can control her anger and is usually the one to put Kenge in his place. It’s actually pretty easy for her, especially when he gets hostile for no reason. For example, he’ll get mad over someone saying “a little help” and Maji would yell at him, telling him to shut up and that it’s just an expression…and he actually listens!

-While Kenge has beef with Bunga, Maji would have beef with Binga

-After they start dating, Kenge (temporarily, as it’s a phase) becomes a completely different lizard. He’s much happier than normal and talks about Maji for hours. He even has this staring problem whenever he’s in the Pridelands. Meanwhile, Maji has become a lot more wistful and giggly

-They do the classic “that’s my girl/that’s my boyfriend!” with each other

-Maji tends to get really flirty with Kenge when they’re alone

Wakali (fierce)-It’s kind of a “what if” idea where Kiburi adopts a daughter and she becomes super badass

-Orphaned albino crocodile

-Backstory: Nduli finds her egg poking out of the dirt while searching for food and brings it to Kiburi. After trying to find its mother to no avail, Kiburi decides “screw it. I’ll take it in, but I’m not getting attached to it”. When it hatches, he names the new member Wakali

-Their relationship at first is like:

Kiburi: Leave me alone, kid.

Wakali: *cuddles Kiburi’s tail*

Kiburi: Okay, you’re my child now

-Daddy’s girl

-Wants to be taken seriously

-Calls the other crocs her uncles

Hatari (lethal)-You know how hippos are pretty much one of the most homicidal animals irl? That’s Hatari. Intimidating and territorial, he has a particular enmity towards crocodiles and devotes his life to getting rid of them since he sees them as feral, ruthless monsters. Although he claims to care about the circle of life, he doesn’t realize the roles crocodiles have in it and only thinks about himself in the matter (not even other hippos)

-He lives in a lake on the outskirts of the pride lands where everyone is warned not to go. There is a pile of food near it that he keeps all to himself

-Songs that fit him:

“Get Out” (Hello Neighbor song)-describes how territorial he is

“Bats” (MLP)-Basically his feelings towards crocs

-Is like this because he lost his entire pod to crocodiles and refuses to believe some are good

Piga (snap)-Kiburi’s dad. Although he was a bold, hardcore, stone-faced brute to others (think Terence from Angry Birds), he showed his soft side to his favorite son, Kiburi. Since the death of his mate, he swore to himself that he was going to teach his kids how to be the best and strongest they can be. Although he kinda gave Kiburi and his siblings some tough love, he genuinely cared about his son and let him know it when he died

-Kiburi gets a lot of his personality from him. Even some of the things he’s said came straight from his old man

“This is our watering hole now! We say when you can drink! And if you don't listen... Lemme show you what'll happen."

“We’re crocodiles. We don't wait around for other animals to tell us what to do! We take what we want”

“I say we deal with him the crocodile way!”

“Nothin' tastier than a meal with a sense of humor."

Yeah. All Piga. Now, don’t get me wrong, even though he was like this, he never dreamed of taking over the Pride Lands. He knew his place when it came to King Mufasa and never once challenged Pua to a mashidano

-He had a lot of battle scars on him, the most notable one being right next to his eye

-Second strongest crocodile (the first being Pua)

-Best friends with Pua

-Kind of a sore loser when it came to losing a fight, but would never take it out on any of his kids. He does appreciate Kiburi’s support about it

-He’s EXTREMELY stubborn. When it comes to getting him to budge, he is just like Terence. He doesn’t, no matter how hard you try. The only exception is a hippo if it’s strong enough (like, as big as/bigger than Basi and as strong as Beshe). Anyone else, forget it.

-Died from a hippo attack (Hatari), which happened to be right in front of Kiburi

-Could probably talk to Kiburi if Kiburi wanted/needed to. If so, he would appear as a water spirit

Nge (Scorpion)-Sumu’s straightforward, no nonsense, but otherwise loving mother. Speaking from personal experience, she’s the one who told Sumu that scorpions couldn’t be friends with anyone but each other. Although she loved all of her kids, she wasn’t afraid to smack them with reality if necessary, such as with Sumu wanting to make friends. After a young Sumu failed to do so, she had a little chat with him. The talk was disappointing and hard to hear, but he needed to hear it at the time. And Nge made sure to keep supporting him no matter what

-Nge taught Sumu everything he knows and she means the entire world to him.

-She was taken from Sumu and the rest of her kids by humans while Sumu could only watch in horror. Her last words to him were “If I don’t make it back, take care of yourselves”.

Sumu never saw her again.

-Nge’s theme is “Baby Mine” from Dumbo. If you sing the song, Sumu will burst into tears

-Sumu does eventually see her again and uh…let’s just say it isn’t pretty. To put in bluntly, she’s dead (obviously). Finish the puzzle.

-That being said, Sumu would be able to avenge his mother by stinging the humans who took her

-BUT if she miraculously survived, Sumu would be able to get her out of her little prison and it’d be a heartwarming reunion. She goes back to her little hole and goes her separate way, but not without telling Sumu how proud she is of him no matter if he is good or bad and promising to visit (he still gets to sting the humans tho lol)

“Ah kid, I wish the world was nicer to us scorpions…especially to you.”-Nge to a young Sumu

Voice claim: Wendi Malick (Eda Clawthorne from The Owl House) 

New story idea: When their bosses scold them after messing up a plan AGAIN, Chungu, Cheezi, Goigoi, Tamka, and Nduli set out to prove themselves useful. It isn’t long before each of them are captured by poachers (which they call “two-leggers”) who plan to do god knows what. It’s up to them to try to escape and prove themselves useful to their leaders.

-Said leaders (Jasiri, Janja, Reirei, and Kiburi) learn about their friends being captured and go to rescue them…no matter how dangerous it is

They also feel super guilty about it cuz they each lost their tempers and said something along the lines of “Why can’t you guys do anything right?”

-We get to see how much the henchmen really mean to them

-More character depth on Sumu, as we learn the tragic tale about how he lost his mother (He’s got trauma and it shows)

Sumu comes with the leaders and acts as a bodyguard (It was Jasiri’s idea. She wanted to play it safe cuz nobody’s messing with a scorpion). He claims he’s fine, but his new habit of staring into space whenever humans are mentioned says otherwise

-It has a good ending though! The dumb henchmen manage to escape themselves (while the leaders are distracting the humans) and reunite with everyone

Bad bad screaming meltdown cuz I have the worst fucking excuse for a sister in the world.

She texted me and insist I do something I don't feel able to handle rn, something that would actively cause sensory overload, i told her no and that I was getting real overwhelmed and couldn't handle texting (texting gets me SO overwhelmed idk why but it feels PHYSICALLY painful sometimes, like typing everything out so slowly is IMPOSSIBLE), she keeps insisting on explanation of why I can't/insisting she is right anyway, and she completely ignored the explanations I WAS able to force myself to type out, and then brain stops working & meltdown starts.

Ended up screaming out of frustration of not being able to get my thoughts out/being unable to communicate (not able to control this once meltdown starts). Idk if anyone will get what Im talking about. But is like brain just goes offline, cannot control, brain is SCREAMING at me, flashing 404 error, whatever, cannot form words or thoughts just screams, no ability to speak or think.

She then threatens to call the cops (literally ALL I did was let out a scream, IN MY OWN BEDROOM NOT EVEN AT HER/IN SAME ROOM AS HER) like she does literally EVERY time I have a meltdown (even though I have never ONCE been violent during a meltdown), and then told me I am no longer allowed to go see the musical we're supposed to go to tonight to celebrate our little sister's birthday cuz she seems to think she has the ability to control me?

I literally can't do this anymore I hate her so much literally every single meltdown I have is because of her fucking pushing me and ignoring my pleas for her to leave me alone when I'm getting overwhelmed. EVERY single one. Like I genuinely can't think of the last time I had one that didn't involve her pushing me in some way.

And I am fucking stuck with her for the rest of my fucking life. All of the money from dad's life insurance is in her account (and neither of us have a job so that's all we have and idk wtf we're gonna do when it runs out in a year or two but that's a whole other issue). The house is in her name. I am too disabled to work (but i'm not on social security cuz applying is so fucking hard and I have no help or support). I am STUCK.

And she CONSTANTLY is doing this shit. We are BOTH autistic but apparently /I/ am the ONLY one who EVER has communication issues EVER. Every SINGLE time there is a miscommunication she claims /I/ am the one who messed up, not her. Even though it's not true.

Every SINGLE time I have a meltdown she threatens to call the cops on me. Every SINGLE time, she threatens to take away something I desperately want/need/am looking forward to. Every SINGLE time, she gives me an ultimatum.

Like to the point I've started to wonder if this is like, abusive.

But I have NO support network at ALL. I'm not exaggerating when I say I do not have even one single friend. People usually don't believe me/think I just have low self esteem (I actually DON'T have low self esteem) but no it is literally true. The ONLY people in my life are my mom, my two sisters, my grandma (who has late stage dementia), and my therapist (who I usually see twice a week but haven't seen for 7 weeks now because she's on medical leave). That's LITERALLY it. I do not have ANY friends, ANY other family, ANY other people that I interact with regularly at ALL. At all at all.

And she is literally such a horrible person and I am STUCK with her. I do literally ALL of the housework, ALL of the cleaning and chores and taking the trash out, ALL of the making sure household essentials are stocked/reordered, literally EVERYTHING to keep this house going except paying the bills (which she does, except like...they're all on autopay so not really) while she sits and plays video games all day. I sit and listen to her infodump about her special interests that I don't give af about, and interact with her about them, I watch the videos she sends about them and respond, etc etc., but when I try to talk about mine she completely ignores me, or interrupts me, or tells me to shut up. And then she gets mad at me saying I don't spend enough time with her.

Feel so stuck and alone and hopeless and like i just CANNOT do this I need out. It feels like there is NO ONE who loves me, NO ONE who is on my side. Like literally, like I said all I have are my twin sister (who hates me), my mom (who I am not speaking to because she keeps ignoring boundaries and also because she literally said "good" when I threatened to kill myself over the summer and like who tf says that to their child and also cuz she kept trying to make my dad's death about her even though they'd been separated for 27 years when he died), my grandma (who I love more than anything but who can barely string two words together cuz of the dementia), and my little sister (the only person who actually cares about me, but she is also really struggling rn and so we barely talk anymore and also she's 12 years younger than me so I feel bad about leaning on her at all)

I'm just so tired and feel so unloved and unsupported and alone and I just cannot do this anymore

Now okay good ol’ Jigsaw himself I believe would probably be Toilette Ree due to the age and personality too honestly. Now this info is all the info I have from saw 1-3 even though there are like I don’t know like OVER TEN MOVIES I THINK?? So I could be wrong/not have enough info to make such bold statements.

But Jigsaw or John as his real name, was a tragic man given not much to live due to brain cancer and he crashed his car intentionally as a suicide attempt but didn’t die and was amazed by the human body/spirt. “My body cannot beat cancer cells but it could survive a car crash” anyway of course this messed with him mentally ALOT so be became Jigsaw due to the belief that humans take advantage of the gift of life must be taught to not take advantage of it. He mainly targets people who have every advantage to be good but still be bad, people who are just bad people, ex convicts, and just people like that.

Going to Toilette, I don’t know they both have sad old man energy and just fit over all personality wise and such. It is ALSO implied that there is more to John then just his trauma I’ve listed above such as a love interest he used to have but to me it’s a mystery. Which is oddly fitting for a man whose name is a pun on the word “mystery” also doesn’t Mr. Ree refer to his past as a “mysterious past”? I don’t know, to me it’s hecka fitting that Ree would take his place, he is like John but cooler.

Now I do not think any of the saw movie plots would actually take place such as Lawrence and Adams bathroom trap, Lynn being forced to help a dying John, Jeff and his trap, and saw ii as a whole, so I Instead propose this.

Krupp finds himself in one of these traps after pretty much all of JE staff is found dead in them, but due to his shared super strength with Captain he is able to make it out of this alive. And instead of going to be Saw apprentice like Amanda he goes and hunts down Jigsaw all detective noir style with a new found understanding of life itself and a vague understanding of Captain. So it’s like a cat n mouse game between the three of them honestly.

Anyway Ree would most definitely be aware of Krupps whole super hero alter ego thing cuz Jigsaw knows EVERYTHING about his victims life’s how they were brought up, and how they live now. So he most definitely counted for this and made his trap for him probably rigged to make it “more fair”. But it was still heavily towards Krupps favor cuz super human durability.

“What about George and Harold” I hear someone ask in the far distance “where are they in this chaos?” You see due to Jigsaw never directly going after kids in his traps George and Harold and everyone else are safe from traps (for the most part). The thing is, kids in saw (1-3 at least) are used ONLY as a bait of sorts, for more victims like in Saw ii, or as a motive to live and escape such as in Saw I. But it is highly implied and that kids were truly never in any danger. Jigsaw is a messed up man with messed up morals he draws some line for children.

Please don’t take any of this seriously, I bullshittted this like just now and I don’t think I will do much of anything with this concept. And again this was mostly an excuse to infodump about saw, Natty take this personal apology from me to say, I’m sorry you had to see this lunatic rant about Saw and Captain underpants. And worst thing is I might not even be accurate with this cuz there is like again OVER TEN MOVIES and I’ve only seen like Three with some mild spoilers about like one other, so again sorry for that rant.

HERMITCRAFT S9 - THE FAKE POKEMON GAME

[EVERYTHING UNDERCUT]

A/N: Basing this as if it’s a game you can just pick-up and play. Cuz of this there’s lots of mentions of ‘The Player’. Will I update this? Maybe! There’s still lots of holes (eg actually building each Hermit’s teams, lore behind the legendaries). Will update ideas come to mind.

REGION

Entire server of Season 9 is the region. Hypothetically it should be possible to fight each hermit at least once. Most you can find and battle them at their main-bases, which for some hermits doubles as a Gym. 

King Ren is the current champion and the Pokemon League of this game is located at The Vault. The champion’s status is guarded behind the Knights of the Squaretable also known as the Elite 4. Together they also make up the antagonist group of the game known as Team Crown. By successfully conquering the champion also means overthrowing the monarchy :]

The region of Hermitcraft S9 is what Johto is to Kanto - after defeating the main game, a whole new area is opened to the player allowing access to travel to the Empires server.

NEW MECHANIC (HERMITCRAFT TCG)

Whole new way of battling - the mechanic introduced here relies on the synergy and teamwork of the player’s entire team as not one - but 5 of your pokemon must be brought onto the field. Same win-conditions as canon Hermitcraft TCG - eliminate at least 3 or all of your opponents’ pokemon off the field.

As it’s a team-based game, it is not advised to harm yourself and KO your own pokemon as a point would then be awarded to the opposing team regardless.

Players cannot bring in any outside items into TCG matches. Items that are permitted in these matches are acquired via cards from the TCG gacha system that can be used to help strengthen the power of a pokemon’s moves (ITEM CARDS), strengthen a pokemon from oncoming attacks and remedy status effects (EFFECT CARDS), or put the opposing at a disadvantage (SINGLE-USE). These come in the form of slips to bring in before each match. Instead of minecraft items, these are named after pokemon items (Burn heals, Hyper Potion, escape rope, etc)

Players can’t revive fainted pokemon in TCG matches BUT can bring in their 6th Pokemon into the field using a Revive Card (SINGLE-USE).

Specifically - hermits prominent in the plot of the game’s story. Technically all of them are there. These are just some I thought of :]

SOUP GROUP - RESISTANCE FOUNDERS:

IMPULSE: Head of the Resistance, ELECTRIC Type Gym Leader! First person to approach the player into joining the Resistance. Helps keep the agriculture of the region running but progress has been running into a lot of conflict, unfair treatment because of Team Crown as of late.

PEARL: Another founder of the Resistance, Pokemon Professor from another region! She is studying the new species of pokemon and is currently investigating the mysterious behavioral patterns this region of pokemon has! Sources of this nature later show stemming from the Grass/Dragon legendary and the Tree of Whimsy.

GEM: Another founder of the Resistance, FAIRY Type Gym Leader! Is suspicious of the player at first but her trust is earned later. Quite an intimidating foe nonetheless. Often absent from her gym here and there. Later discovered it’s because she travels between Hermitcraft and Empires regions (a Gym Leader for both)

TEAM CROWN:

REN: Current Champion, Figure-head position of Team Crown! Once a humble champion, now corrupted by a strange aura and influence from his Hand. I like to think he’s like Leon PKMN SWSH :] Later becomes an advisor himself when training people for TCG-type matches post-game!

BDUBS: Royal Hand, the Brains behind Team Crown, GRASS Type Elite! Unconfirmed if true, gains his status by connections with the Grass/Dragon legendary and the Tree of Whimsy. Often surrounded by a group of burmys at his side. Talent for being able to understand Pokemon fluently.

SCAR: Head of the Royal Guard, Region-Wide Celebrity (Hotguy), FLYING Type Elite! Having the title as one of Team Crown’s Elite gives him a lot of power over what he can do. Throughout the main game he goes on about a Hotguy film he’s in the middle of making, aspiring to be one of the best pokemon superhero movies ever! However in the process of making it he goes drunk with power, causing a lot of wreckage when filming very dangerous stunts across the region. It is the player’s job to stop him from doing so- eventually talking him into a better, safer solution for his scenes.  [MORE ON SCARLAND AND HOTGUY HQ LATER] SCAR’S PARTY INCLUDES: >SWELLOW - His ace- also the second shining star in the Hotguy films and airshows. >ALTERIA , SWANNA , EMOLGA , SKARMORY Overall beautiful and/or strong, heroic looking pokemon - they’re all show worthy. The Player NEVER fights Jellie btw (Scarland’s mascot and his bestie!) Scar won’t allow anyone to hurt her.

CUB: Pokemon researcher for Team Crown (and himself), DARK Type Elite! Literally imagine the Colress of Team Crown that is him. Strat uses a lot of items and gizmos for his team - which is like broken for a Pokemon game. Was in the process of making an army of mechanical pokemon - super diabolical shit you find in Pokemon Violet kinda vibes. He plays more fairly (albeit more chaotic) post-game and even runs Total Chaos. [MORE ON TOTAL CHAOS LATER]

PROFESSORS:

PEARL: [Mentioned above]

GRIAN: A close research friend of Pearl, he is mentioned to the player early on- one of the first tasks is to give him a letter from Pearl when the player reaches the capital (spawn) - and meets him for the first time in front of the Normal Type Gym venue. Unlike Pearl, Professor Grian studies time-and-space travel! Grian’s adaptive and changes his type specialization based on the situation (ie the people he subs for) but his personal party is entirely bird-themed SOME OF GRIAN’S PERSONAL PARTY INCLUDES: >ARCHEOPS - Grian’s ace. The very first pokemon he was able to revive using >XATU - The party’s second in command. Recruited shortly after his Archeops, Xatu’s future/past sight and intelligence helps Grian in his Rift research.

TANGO: Official researcher and archeologist of the Citadel! Throughout the main game, the player encounters Tango several times and does several errands/tests which would help the development of the Citadel which is currently off limits until post game. [MORE ON DECKED OUT AND THE CITADEL LATER]

BEEF: Pioneer of pokemon TCG-battles! Researches the importance of synergy between different pokemon and their typings. Was used to observe patterns with multiple pokemon playing as a team - now a popular mechanic across the region (and Empires)! [SEE NEW MECHANIC] Also serves as move tutor and general advisor when caring and training your pokemon!

OTHER:

‘FALSE’: FIGHTING Type Gym Leader! Backstory similar to every victim affected by time travel. There is also another version of False in the Empires region as well (the current Champion of that region, similar to the pokemon party to Steven Stone).

ETHO: Ex-Champion! The Hermitcraft region’s previous Champion. Disappeared unknowingly. Carries a similar vibe to Champion Red when the player fights him on Mt Silver. The Player can fight him post-game as a sidequest [MORE ON THE EX-CHAMPION ETHO LATER]

STORY

HOMETOWN You start in the canyon where Soup Group have built their bases (gyms), supposedly one of the people who group up in the civilisation of Pearl’s base. Pearl is one of the region’s (many) professors who has been studying the nature of pokemon and their unique behavior in the region as of late and needs YOU to broaden her research. You’re given your starter when she invites you to the upstairs secret lab. Pearl directs to go through the gym badges as per usual - starting with tackling the Electric Gym across the canyon that is run by Impulse. There is also a Fairy Gym in the same area but is currently inaccessible from the current location (also the gym leader isn’t there right now).

By defeating the Electric Gym and its leader, Impulse notices the starter pokemon and your potential strength as a trainer blah blah and he lets you in on his plan to start a resistance and overthrow Team Crown and their strong grip on the region. By joining the Resistance, the plan is to collect all 8 Gym Badges as per normal whilst convincing the other gym leaders -strong pokemon trainers- to join the cause. The player leaves via the secret human-tunnel under Pearl’s base and that’s where the journey truly begins.

Choice in gym leaders (excluding Etho) comes from who participated in the Vault Challenge. Often before challenging each gym and their leader, the player must do a few tasks/challenges that would benefit the development of each base / help along each gym leader. Some (at least half) the gym leaders are TCG-based games!

GYM NOTES OF INTEREST:

GYM 4 - FAIRY TYPE (Gem): Start of the story begins with the original THREE members of the Resistance: Soup Group. The player meets ⅔ of the founders early within the game whilst only hearing word of Gem who is MIA until you can access the 4th Gym that she runs. This is also when you are awarded the fast travel option of FLY (the elytra). Meeting Gem, she is still skeptical of her co-captains’ choice of a scouter (Pearl can be a bit too lax sometimes and Impulse straight-up the sweetest, kindest person on the

GYM 6 - NORMAL TYPE (Grian sub): All the gyms are located at their bases EXCEPT for the Normal Gym. At first the player will go to Mumbo’s base only to find it sealed shut. Grian shows up explaining the Normal Gym Leader hasn’t been there for a while so he’s filling his spot for the meantime (he tends to do this a lot - he’s very adaptive). Grian brings the player to his underground lab giving first glance of a very Suspicious Machine that would not be completed until post-game. The player can play against the ACTUAL Normal-type Gym Leader post-game through a sidequest.

POKEMON LEAGUE - COUP DE VAULT: By helping the Hermits around the server would lead to opening a train in the Shopping District which leads to Pokemon League AKA the Vault where the Player alongside Soup Group and all the Gym Leaders a part of the Resistance will go to confront Team Crown. The group will go through various obstacle challenges in each Elite 4 room before fighting each Knight.  [I love the themed rooms they did for the Elite 4 in PKMN BW/BW2 so the same thing happens here!]

The order and typing goes as follows:

CUB (DARK - reminded me of Skulk): Obstacle course is a dark, scary labyrinth from point A to point B. Player must press buttons that would both create a path to help the other Resistance as well as expel skulk that is in the way.

CLEO & JOE (GHOST/PSYCHIC): Imagine the colour tiles from Undertale except they actually work. They act as a double battle.

SCAR (FLYING): Vertical labyrinth with springtraps that propel the player - needing to press buttons to build the bridge to the Hotguy Arena.

GRIAN ? (N/A): Normally Iskall would be Steel but Grian subs in for him. He loans the player his set of TCG cards to help in the upcoming fights when the player beats him.

BDUBS (GRASS): No obstacle. The player isn’t even meant to fight him here but he interjects with a strange aura surrounding him that compels him to protect the King’s position. The player fights him in a back-to-back fight: First phase with his team, second is a TCG-based fight against him and the Grass/Dragon legendary he pulled somehow in a fit of rage… Something seems to be controlling both of them. [Best I can describe this fight is the Rose/Eternatus fight between the Elite 4 and the Champion in PKMN SWSH.] Defeating Bdubs would not only remove the spell off of Bdubs and the legendary done on by the Tree of Whimsy but triggers the legendary to come to its senses and flee (the player can catch it later in a post-game sidequest).

REN (N/A): Classic pokemon battle. No specialized typing but carries balanced, regal themed pokemon. His party changes entirely to something more TCG-battle heavy post-game.

ADDITIONAL LOCATIONS OF INTEREST

DECKED OUT (CITADEL): Like canon Decked Out it’s still a dungeon crawler. In each run the player must travel through the floors collecting artifacts. Each player in each run is given a special device that gauges health and bloops them back to the start if it detects the player is too weak or all their pokemon have fainted. 

The run starts at the top floor ‘ground floor’ at the Crypts and they have to survive as long as possible solving ancient puzzles, avoiding traps and find collectibles that would help in Tango’s research. To reach the ‘endgoal’ of Decked Out, a player must collect all artifacts and survive one more run and make it to the lowest floor alive in order to interact with the Mythical Pokemon that lives there. 

Like TCG-based battles, no outside items are allowed in the Citadel. This is to prevent littering and damages to the floors below. Instead Tango rewards players items after each run, these items are specialized to best aid the player throughout the floors.

GAMING DISTRICT: With the help of Scarland and a bunch of hermits - the Gaming District was born! It’s a giant casino and funpark where games are played for the same reason it is in real life. The owner of the district is a seasonal event as he is a famous producer from far away regions (often hosting elsewhere) but the player can battle him whenever he’s in town. This owner (MC?) is known as Martyn InTheLittleWood and while his party doesn’t have a specific typing, the requirements must be that each pokemon involved must be from a different region. It was rumoured that he dominated a Pokemon League once with a party entirely consisting of regional mice!

TOTAL CHAOS: Hypothetically the player can battle against every hermit multiple times. If the player has met them at least once whether throughout main game or post - their name will be added to the register of Total Chaos which acts as this region’s Battle Towers.

SCARLAND:

Scarland ITSELF is similar to Pokemon’s Nimbasa City in the way it has advanced technology designed to heighten the entertainment of the park. Beauty contests are held here too. And the park’s mascot is Scar’s very special Togetic, the happiness pokemon named Jellie :3

HOTGUY HQ: Repurposed from an evil lair during the main game to a Hotguy movie studio. It is an extension of Scarland but the equivalent of Pokestar Studios where both the player and Scar can make their own movies and shows etc.

POST GAME

Includes post-game quests! Players are now able to rematch Hermits not just in regular battles but TCG-based battles as well at the TCG Arena! Decked Out (2) in the Citadel is also available region-wide!

BDUBS & LEGENDARY SIDE-QUEST: Completing the championship and breaking the Tree of Whimsy’s control. The player can visit Bdubs in his Monolith - a mysterious, broken-down white temple structure discovered by him and is currently under renovations. This is also the only region in the server where burmys are native to the area - you can’t find them anywhere else. Talking to him, he tells he’s coping with the situation fine but still feels guilty about the way he treated his friend (the Grass/Dragon legendary) during the reign and wishes to apologize to it.

Triggering this interaction spurs a number of quests Bdubs sends the player on, visiting various ruins across the region - collecting different items that would help both summon the Grass/Dragon legendary as well as things that would help Bdubs apologize to it. Once all quests have been done, Bdubs will do a ritual under the Tree of Whimsy that summons the Grass/Dragon legendary - he apologizes - the legendary forgives him - and the player is allowed to catch the legendary if they want.

ETHO SIDE-QUEST: Not presented as a ‘side-quest’ more of an unexpected encounter or one of those spooky ghost encounters that happen in older generations. Once the player is able to access the jungle section of the region (locked until post-game) and the Joe Hill’s pinball machine. After fighting Joe in a TCG-based fight, he tells the player about a strange tower that has appeared nearby and asks the player to check it out. It is never stated in the game but this tower is Etho’s gym (his base). 

The aesthetic of it is a mix between steampunk and an abandoned waterpark.The base is very run-down, claimed by encroaching growth from the jungle biome around. There are several completed and incomplete passageways to the top riddled with redstone puzzles and zoomy labyrinths - the state of it only adding difficulty when in goal of getting to its peak.

Getting to the top the player finds the person behind such tower overseeing the view from the top-to-ground below him. He gives a casual hello ^_^ and initiates a battle. No particular typing but his team consists of older-gen pokemon including his Absol.

Winning against him he gives a casual buh-bye u_u and disappears - triggering the player to black-out finding himself at the bottom of the shallow river (the base was built above), with a worried Joe Hills hovering above them. He helps the player up and asks just what on earth they are doing in the middle of the jungle. And when the player asks about Etho and the tower- Joe has no idea what they are talking about - as if he never gave the player that quest at all.

MUMBO SIDE-QUEST: By visiting the Vault (the TRUE Normal Type Gym) again they’ll find that it’s left… ajar! Going inside it is dark but make enough ruckus and solve enough redstone puzzles  will bring out a very disgruntled Mumbo who wants you out of his gym. Winning in a battle against Mumbo would make him reflect - thinking how easy it was to enter the Vault “If YOU could make it this far… so would Grian!”. This triggers a mini-quest of his own helping Mumbo fortify the gym (making it as Grian-proof as possible)...

RIFT SIDE-QUEST (GRIAN): By the time the main game is complete Grian would have near completed his studies on the Rift. Grian requests help from the player to send out invitation cards for the machine’s grand opening -  NOW giving the player access to the Empires region!

EMPIRES

From there, like Kanto, the player is able to collect 8 more gym badges, another Elite 4 and challenge Champion False of that region.

Additional quests by both Hermits and Empires can lead to the development of the Empires’ very own Pokemon League known as Hermitopia. 

GYM LEADER LIST (and order) The following order is put together based on geography in accordance with the Empires 2 map - guiding the player across the Empires in one giant circle back to spawn.

GYM 1:PIX - Rock Gym (Ancient Capital) One of the first people the player will meet at spawn (since it’s so close). Winning against him he awards the player a map of the region! He directs you to the next Empire with the next gym location (Tumble Town)

GYM 2: JIMMY - Ground Gym (Tumble Town) Entering the town begins in total chaos with a rampaging, hostile pokemon in the mines Someone released as a prank on the gym leader. Catching the pokemon and then battling Jimmy he thanks the player and asks to help him find who the culprit is. The player is motioned to head East to Eversea (Also to say hi to a friend in Sanctuary!)

GYM 3: JOEY - Water Gym (Eversea) The region’s portland and main place of external goods and bounty etc. Interrogating Joey after his gym battle the player finds it’s not him but discovers an important clue that guides the player to the next location (AFTER Sanctuary of course).

GYM 4: SAUSAGE - Grass Gym (Sanctuary) The quieter side of the two neighboring empires. Built on sacred land, the people and pokemon that dwell here praise the legendary pokemon for the changing of seasons, the night that gives time for rest, and the days that bring new harvests. (The player can’t catch these legendaries) I like to think these legendaries as well as the Grass/Dragon legendary back in the Hermitcraft Region are connected in some way too :]

GYM 5: SHUBBLE - Poison Gym (Evermore) A small shanty village hidden deep within the swamp. Questioning Shubble, while she was not the perpetrator - she was able to deduce the poison that came with the clue Joey identified and what type of pokemon was able to produce such poison. The player is directed to said location (Chromia) where said pokemon is most common there.

GYM 6: SCOTT - Psychic (Chromia) A newer settlement set in the plains. Bustling and lively for its arts and festivals held there. While Scott confirms the pokemon that produced the pokemon comes from Chromia, he cannot disclose who caught this pokemon (under contract). Maybe if the player could talk to the pokemon (get a translator) they would be able to get information from them about the situation.Scott directs the player to Animalia - advising to take the gym badge from Gobland in the process (needed to pass through)

GYM 7: FWHIP - Steel (Gobland) The empire has a direct entrance that takes trainers from Gobland straight to Animalia. This empire specializes in regional trade. It is also one of the first places to implement the TCG-based battle system. The player gets to see both trainers and pokemon alike practice the new system. Fwhip alongside Pix (with remote guidance from Beef) also in charge of creating new TCG cards - special to the Empires region!

GYM 8: LIZZIE - Normal (Animalia) Another pokemon concentrated hub, the pokemon here especially are intelligent enough to be able to fluently communicate with its human citizens. It is the region’s knowledge hub. Completing Lizzie’s gym challenge and bringing out the pokemon from Tumble Town - Lizzie is able to communicate with it discovering the perpetrator for the prank was Joel all along.

The player can still access other unvisited empires such as Dawn - they just won’t get to verse the leaders there until the league.

By the time the player collects all 8 gym badges. The Pokemon League (Hermitopia) would be complete and a region-wide event would be held there. Here, the player would be able to go against the 3 (technically 4) Elite members and Champion False.

OLLIE (N/A): Technically was not nominated as an Elite Member but interrupts before the player could proceed higher into the tower

GEM (DRAGON): The REAL beginning of the Elite. The player discovers this is the same Gem from Hermitcraft but keeps it a secret. Turns out this region is where she flies to! (She’s dragon-type not only cuz it’s a nice parallel to her Fairy-type gym but also her Season 1 lore)

KATHERINE (DARK): Chose dark because contrast and so I can say that morepeko is her ace :]

JOEL (FLYING): The true culprit of the prank in Tumble Town… They make up in the end after this fight it’s fine!

No challenges, just classic back-to-back Elite 4 fighting like regular pokemon games (This plotline is so long already)

FALSE (N/A): Reaching the top of Hermitopia is a familiar feeling with familiar people. No typing, a strong balanced team of pokemon from newer generations. (Like to think however THIS False’s ace is the same type of pokemon as the False back in the Hermitcraft region.

What’s this kill Arkham thing about. Feel free to infodump about the comic (if it’s a comic) plot.

It's a comic that doesn't exist yet. It was supposed to release May 30th. Everywhere still says it releases May 30th. All I know is the plot synopsis which essentially says that Amanda Waller runs Arkham Asylum now and she's going to pit the inmates against each other in a death match to choose members of the Suicide Squad. This is meant to tie into the game that's been delayed to February 2nd so maybe that's around the time the comic releases. But what do I know cuz everywhere still says May 30th so I keep checking the release date. Still nothing. There's been no word from DC. At all. Kinda bothering me because this was supposed to have an actual appearance of Captain Boomerang. Literally the 5 issue miniseries prequel (meaning it shouldn't even contain spoilers for the game so I don't understand why it won't release) follows Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, King Shark, and Harley Quinn. Over the past 3 years Captain Boomerang has gotten nothing but a literal pile of shit dumped on him where like... At best he's crammed all the way in the background and you gotta play fucking Where's Waldo to find him, and at worst he dies immediately after he shows up. LOOKING AT YOU DC VS VAMPIRES!!!!!!!!!! Actually... Suicide Squad Blaze was worse but like... We don't talk about Suicide Squad Blaze. It's icky for a multitude of reasons. So yeah. Basically... Waiting for Captain Boomerang content. There is no Captain Boomerang content that isn't Harkrill (Polkadot Man and Captain Boomerang ship. Nothing against shippers or the ship. I just see it everywhere) or Owen (nothing against Owen fans. I just don't like Owen) or stuff I haven't already seen because they're coming from comics that have been out for at least a decade now.

Basically.... Captain Boomerang gets no bitches and I am waiting on contest art I won to squeeze all the content into my mouth and crawl back into my hole until probably July 11th or sooner (This series has been releasing a month-ish in advance online but because I don't know when, I just check constantly) cuz that's when Harley Screws Up the DCU #5 releases which I'm almost entirely uninterested in the story tbh because my girl Harley would NEVER go after Barry fucking Allen. You CANNOT change my mind on this. I'm there for Captain Boomerang. I was for the Starro Spore to be off his face and for him to live but with how this man gets treated in canon, I'm asking for WAY TOO MUCH 🙃

So I’ve definitely done this one before, but that’s only in regards to how Emira gets Viney’s attention

I think Viney would be HELLA SUS about Emira trying to get her attention like. What does she want with me...? Is she just trying to pull a prank on me? Is she trying to get information out of me? What does this Blight want from me?

Lmao nah, Luz definitely just mentioned how rad Viney was in conversation one day and anyone that’s cool in Luz’s book is automatically cool in Emira’s book. And then she actually saw her for the first time riding on Puddles and her heart flipped because that’s literally the coolest person I’ve ever seen holy shit. She does ask Luz to try to help introduce her, but Luz is extremely busy with her all-track schedule and doesn’t often get the chance. So Emira has to try to meet her on her own.

Edric is also interested in meeting Viney, but solely because he’s curious about the beast-keeping track. He really wants to meet Puddles. (Based entirely on It Started With a Crash Landing by The_Wolf_Of_Winter on AO3; THANK YOU @prophet-rebellion FOR LINKING ME <33333333333)

Once Viney confirms that no, the Blight Twins are NOT out to ruin her for some imagined wrong-doing, she eases up a little on them and learns to be friends with them. She defo infodumps about beasts to Edric who is just so starry-eyed at all the information. Emira is also starry-eyed but mostly because she’s got a raging crush on Viney.

Emira is just as bad as Amity when it comes to blushing. She’s usually super put together, like, on another level of Cannot Be Phased, until she has to interact with Viney. She blushes so much and maybe has a stutter that she had speech therapy for as a kid? That defo comes back when she’s trying to talk to Viney. Viney finds it adorable. Edric and Amity know how to tease her for it without crossing any lines because that was definitely a huge source of shame for Emira when they were younger. Their parents paid for private speech therapy sessions to get her to learn how to “control” it. Edric and Amity would often find Emira after those sessions either angry or crying from frustration.

Viney definitely loves seeing Emira flustered because it’s so rare to see a Blight come undone. She definitely flirts with her every chance she gets without tipping off anyone else and she lives for seeing Emira go bright red and tight-lipped.

She does ask Emira about why she covers her mouth whenever she gets so flustered and Emira can only shake her head and run away before Viney gets an explanation; she asks Edric about it later and he explains with a grimace cuz it’s something she’s been embarrassed about her whole life. Viney aplogizes, but defo continues to flirt with her because she finds her stutter so cute. She doesn’t want Emira to hide it around her. It takes Emira a while to feel safe enough to do so, but she does eventually start trying to speak around Viney whenever her stutter comes up and Viney just sits and waits patiently for her to finish her sentence before either cooing at how adorable she’s being or hugging her tightly.

Viney is in the Healing track because she likes making things more easily accessible. WordPainter15 on ao3 has the best headcanon that she’s in Healing and Beast Keeping because she’s trying to start the concept of service animals on the Boiling Isles which I have absolutely latched on to. She definitely knows sign language and even teaches Emira some for when she can’t get her words out. Emira almost breaks down into tears after the first day Viney suggests teaching her sign language because nobody’s ever offered such a solution to her before. Edric and Amity just sit there consoling her while she goes on about how amazing Viney is and how she doesn’t deserve someone so genuinely kind and thoughtful in her life but she’s so grateful to have Viney in hers.

I think Emira studies sign language on her own (with Amity’s help; Amity’s always been better at studying) and asks Viney out in sign language once she’s confident she has it down. Viney is stunned at first but definitely throws her arms around Emira in a giant hug and laughing in relief because oh thank Titan, she likes me back, I don’t have to suffer the shame of being rejected by a Blight.
