If you didn’t listen/watch yesterday’s episode of the TryPod, Eugene Lee Yang talked about how early on in production, the lead artists of Nimona actually used him as reference when creating Ambrosius Goldenloin and, in doing so reached out to him personally in 2020 to audition. Not only was Eugene their first choice for the role, but Riz and Chloe were their first choice for their respective roles as well. It’s just so incredible and so rare of a thing to happen in Hollywood, let alone animation, and with a story like this, it is absolutely incredible as Eugene’s first movie role.
