I have plenty of other projects I should be working on BUT then Mochi started building a shop to fill in the huge wall of dirt between the greenhouse and the boardwalk by the water, and I became CONSUMED with the need to join in and decorate a bunch of tiny houses.... SO!! TOWNHOUSE TIME!! You can also see buildings that Boo (the lime green)and Mochi (the grey and prismarine shop) have been working on in that first image… there's still a bunch along the boardwalk that's under construction, too. I built three townhouses and decorated the upstairs of mochi's shop, many more images under the cut!!

The blue townhouse was the first one I made, with the exterior inspired pretty directly from mechitect's townhouse design tutorial.

it's pretty simple! It's when I started to discover alcoves are interesting with these tiny buildings, since you're sort of dependent on what the house next to you is doing. Oh, also, that painting is one of my custom maps.

The pink townhouse was a little more ambitious - this one has a little kitchen, an aquarium idea I got from klay_designs_mc on instagram and TWO tiny bedrooms (one for the grownups and one for the kids), which may seem very straightforward but actually i took a great deal of psychic damage arranging them to fit in this little 8x8 space

we have some kind of resource pack on our realm that makes every mob drop mob heads occasionally, and I just really like sticking them on shelves as like... some kind of toys or figurines or plushies.

Anyway, while I was excitedly showing my progress to my friends, Mochi asked if I'd be willing to decorate the upstairs of his flower shop -- the building next to my blue townhouse. He wanted it to be a living space above the shop, and mentioned that the large windows might be nice for a kitchen, and other than that left me to my own devices.

TREMENDOUSLY PROUD OF THIS ONE TBH...!!! bed design was inspired by a bluenerd tutorial, and the little hearts are as always inspired by my fav builder CroissantCat, though honestly my entire minecraft portfolio should just have "inspired by bluenerd and/or croissantcat" on the first page. (the lamps are those mob heads again btw -- you can do this with the existing skeleton heads, but if you HAVE glow squid heads like... WHY NOT USE THEM)

anyway at this point I had obviously completely lost my mind, so my third townhouse has an upstairs, a basement, a home office, AND a bathroom. (it wasn't going to have a bathroom originally, but Boo saw the downstairs and gasped in excitement b/c he thought it was a bathroom, sO LIKE.... OBVIOUSLY AFTER THAT I HAD TO ADD A BATHROOM)

watched a WHOLE BUNCH of blendigi Modern Interior Design tutorials for ideas here, including some armour stand crimes to make THAT INCREDIBLE OFFICE CHAIR???? but im still very pleased with my decision to use the one Long Painting as a TV screen lmao

there were actually a whole bunch of planning scribbles for this... it started out with just a little layout of 3 possible designs for townhouse facades, and then turned into MANY floorplan attempts as I tried to figure out how to fit everything I wanted into these smaller spaces:

Our one full day in krabi

Recounting the day always feeels like we did a million things. We started the day with a little boat trip to railay beach, about a 10 minute scoot on the long tail boat. Spent the afternoon wandering about, swimming, and throwing the football. Saw some monkeys hopping from rooftop to rooftop, didn’t manage to snap a pic but you can use your imagination for this one :)

We all got a little sunned out quicker than we usually do so we called it a day and took the boat back around 230/3. Had a little quiet time before setting out to find myself a papaya salad. These are my favourite so far. It’s unripe papaya, carrot, tomatoes, green beans, and peanuts. It’s cold and crunchy and unripe papaya has a similar vibe to cabbage but better. It’s in this light tangy sweet dressing that I could drink. I looked it up and it’s mainly lime juice garlic, sugar and fish sauce (I ask for no fish sauce, I like it better without). I always ask for one chilli which is the perfect amount of heat. The spiciness here feels different from home, it feels more intense but also way more enjoyable if that makes sense? Like the flavour is just that much more complex. Idk I’m not a food critic but I like the spiciness lately.

After the papaya salad craving was sufficed we walked down to the beach to watch the sunset. I’m trying to make a point of seeing as many sunsets or sunrises that I can. I love how different they all can be but also how similar. Ugh and the lighting, I could cry I just love it. The perfect time to sit and reflect and appreciate all of these experiences I’m having. We finished watching the sunset at a beach bar while playing a couple rounds of pool. The balls here are so much smaller and the table is huge and that is why nick is beating me every round and the only reason!!!!!

We wandered over to the night market for some live music and some uno. Got myself some of the same sushi from last night and tried my first mochi. These are really a Japanese dessert but I’m using this whole trip and an opportunity to try things I normally wouldn’t. If you don’t know what mochi are they are these rice cakes/rice balls that are usually filled with something. Traditional ones have taro or sesame but obviously I got Nutella, Oreo and rainbow flavoured (what is rainbow flavour?? Sprinkles maybe!!??). Theyre super soft and light and I really wished I liked them but they’re super gelatinous and not at all my cup of tea. Rainbow flavour btw was not sprinkle filled it was fruit with chocolate inside (my worst nightmare).

Finished the night with more uno and some fun music back at the hostel. Woke up this morning around 5/530 to go for a run before the heat. Whenever I’m getting a bit testy I know I need to go for a run. When Alison and I travelled Greece she would notice when I would start getting moody and tell me to go for a run and sure enough it resets me completely. So with my battery reset we’re headed off to phi phi island. Finally meeting up with Jenna today, our final member of the gang!!!

Due to cravings and an abundance of local Mahi Mahi, I decided to make some Ceviche from scratch and compare it to the packaged spice mix from Kaldi's. They’d met only a few times before, but every single one of those times ended with both of them drunk and roasting everyone and anyone. And sometimes they really needed that. An evening of marathoning reality TV, drinking wine, and downing the best food you could possibly be craving. Not all friendships were born from strange unexpected run ins during a mission, or bonds forged while on assignment after you’d been abandoned by all and starting to lose hope.

Sometimes a friendship is born from meeting your soon to be semi-frquent drinking buddy in the shopping district of Tokyo and being talked out of buying a lime-green, pink pinstriped suit for the lols.

And if there was anyone who embodied the best that kind of friendship had to offer, it was Superbeast.

And that friendship is what brought him to her door that evening, not long after the Delusion incident in Hosu.

Knock! Knock! Knock!

After a minute of silence, the door flew open, and there in the doorway was a woman in comfy slippers, a glorious robe lined with, what resembled at least, soft fur that complimented her large sunglasses. On a television drama, she’d be cast as the rich debutante on this outfit alone. 

The half drunk glass of wine in her hand certainly helped pull the look together.

“Hey there, Beast,” Amaryllis greeted. 

“New phone, who dis?” she asked. 

“Your best friend, the delivery Shepherd.” He held up seven bags, smirking. “He hath brought the good wine, a new fabulous pair of gloves with a matching tote from that place in Glasgow I told you about, sub sandwiches, the good mochi, cakes from that good little place hidden in the corner of the street mall in Shinjuku you enjoy, pasta, junk food galore, video footage of me roasting Endeavor three days before I started teaching-”

“Ama, darling!” 

She reached out and dragged him in by the collar before closing the door and taking the bags into the kitchen. Once they were set down, she turned and gave him a hug. 

“It’s so good to see you,” she said. “You had me worried, you salty bitch!”

“I’m sorry, B,” he chuckled. “You look amazing tonight.”

“I know.” 

Amaryllis helped her empty the bags, preparing the table for their feast. He pulled out the laptop and pulled up the video, letting SB make herself comfortable as he poured her a fresh glass. 

“You know,” Beast sighed, “we really need to do this more often. You spoiling me is my favorite pastimes.”

“Come by my cabin at U.A. and we’ll have a Ghibli movie marathon.”

“No thanks. Still not wanting to see him.”

“I thought you made up.”

YUANFEN FEST ROUND 1: REVEALS + FINAL NOTES

The Baeksoo party has finally come to an end but don't you worry, the fun is not yet over because there are still lovely fics for you to catch up with and come back to :> That being said, we want to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for supporting us and participating in this fest, may you be a prompter, writer, or reader! This fest wouldn't have been possible in the first place if not for you. We would give the spotlight now to our writers as we unveil who they are but before anything else, here are some words from our mods:

MOD MOCHI

Somehow, It only feels like yesterday when two of my fellow Baeksooies came into my DMs and told me about the apparent lack of Baeksoo fics in the EXO ficdom. I vividly all the times we complained because we’re craving for more until finally, we decided to simply take a leap of faith and create our own Baeksoo-centric fic ourselves. It was the epitome of a “Fuck, I’ll do it myself” situation because we knew our complaints would reach nothing if we don’t do our part in helping resolve the situation.

A week after, we decided to meet up and discuss this concept further in person. Believe it or not, I actually made a presentation/pitch deck about the fest, featuring a complete list of our objectives, content execution, and promotional strategy. We wanted to treat it as a passion project, as our little baby we would nurture months later on because aside from bringing new Baeksoo fanworks, we wanted to help bring the ‘community’ together.

Fast-forward to six months later and here we are now. It hasn’t been an easy journey for anyone, but it’s what makes this whole thing worth it because despite the difficulties that came along the way, you guys stuck by our side ‘til the end. And for that, we couldn’t be any more thankful.

To our prompters: thank you for your creativity and enthusiasm in participating in this fest. You all gave our writers gems to work with; this fest wouldn’t have been able to move forward if not for your participation.

To our very talented writers: thank you so, so much for sharing your talents with all of us. We know writing fic isn’t that easy especially when you’re bounded by deadlines (+ real life responsibilities) but you guys pulled through and made it! I hope you are all as proud of your works as much as we are. It is very interesting to see Baeksoo and the extension of their dynamics through a different set of eyes in every fic that was submitted to this fest, but the feeling of joy that each one gives is all the same. Thank you for making us fall in love with this pairing a hundred times and more, all over again.

Cleanse your palate with Yuzu Sorbet with Mint before moving to the Signature Roasted USDA Prime Rib of Beef or Seafood Love Platter. Sweet dessert after any meal of Te Amo.

Amuse Bouche consists of Foie Gras Macaron with Almond and Chocolate Soil Grilled Spanish Octopus with Mango Salsa on Water Biscuit and Guacamole Smoked Salmon on Toast with Avruga Caviar, Truffle Mayonnaise, caramelized Onion and Yellow Frisee. Start off with savoury foie gras macarons set on a bed of chocolate soil, generous thick cream and smooth texture. Smoked salmon with poppings of caviar on crisp toast. With a presence of a hint of truffle mayo set on caramelised onion. Tender grilled octopus with refreshing mango salsa to refresh the palate before having the soup.

Dungeness Crab Salad accompanied with Granny Smith Apple slice, Ikura, Mango sphere, Balsamic reduction and Tortilla Chip. Crab salad that comes with layers of taste. Received a surprise popping of mango sphere that flowed like egg yolk lava. Sweet and savoury crab meat, refreshing Granny slice apple with poppings of sweet ikura. You may also scoop crab meat with crispy tortilla chips.

Seafood Love Platter Baked Cajun Lobster Tail with Tobiko, Miso Salmon steak with Furikake, Carabinero Prawn with Arbequina, Corn Croquette and Ratatouille served with Teriyaki Nameko Mushroom sauce. Lobster tail with tobiko savoury juice and beautifully styled with floral petals and greens. Full done firm salmon with sweet sauce that tasted similar to cha siew. I would prefer medium salmon with a slightly pink texture. Crispy Corn croquettes were smooth and light and corn bites that burst into the mouth.

180grams Roasted USDA Prime Rib of Beef is carved at your table and served with US Idaho mashed Potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding, whipped cream horseradish (spicy/non-spicy) with a choice of creamed Corn, creamed Spinach or buttered Peas. Simply love the very juicy sweet juice from medium rare steak. I can simply sliced through effortlessly.

Sweet dessert after any meal with Manjari Chocolate, Banana and Hazelnut Praline Mousse Dome, Häagen-Dazs Tiramisu Mochi Ice-cream on a bed of Almond Crumble and Strawberry Mousse served with fresh Summer Berries and Raspberry Coulis.

Our one full day in krabi

Recounting the day always feeels like we did a million things. We started the day with a little boat trip to railay beach, about a 10 minute scoot on the long tail boat. Spent the afternoon wandering about, swimming, and throwing the football. Saw some monkeys hopping from rooftop to rooftop, didn’t manage to snap a pic but you can use your imagination for this one :)

We all got a little sunned out quicker than we usually do so we called it a day and took the boat back around 230/3. Had a little quiet time before setting out to find myself a papaya salad. These are my favourite so far. It’s unripe papaya, carrot, tomatoes, green beans, and peanuts. It’s cold and crunchy and unripe papaya has a similar vibe to cabbage but better. It’s in this light tangy sweet dressing that I could drink. I looked it up and it’s mainly lime juice garlic, sugar and fish sauce (I ask for no fish sauce, I like it better without). I always ask for one chilli which is the perfect amount of heat. The spiciness here feels different from home, it feels more intense but also way more enjoyable if that makes sense? Like the flavour is just that much more complex. Idk I’m not a food critic but I like the spiciness lately.

After the papaya salad craving was sufficed we walked down to the beach to watch the sunset. I’m trying to make a point of seeing as many sunsets or sunrises that I can. I love how different they all can be but also how similar. Ugh and the lighting, I could cry I just love it. The perfect time to sit and reflect and appreciate all of these experiences I’m having. We finished watching the sunset at a beach bar while playing a couple rounds of pool. The balls here are so much smaller and the table is huge and that is why nick is beating me every round and the only reason!!!!!

We wandered over to the night market for some live music and some uno. Got myself some of the same sushi from last night and tried my first mochi. These are really a Japanese dessert but I’m using this whole trip and an opportunity to try things I normally wouldn’t. If you don’t know what mochi are they are these rice cakes/rice balls that are usually filled with something. Traditional ones have taro or sesame but obviously I got Nutella, Oreo and rainbow flavoured (what is rainbow flavour?? Sprinkles maybe!!??). Theyre super soft and light and I really wished I liked them but they’re super gelatinous and not at all my cup of tea. Rainbow flavour btw was not sprinkle filled it was fruit with chocolate inside (my worst nightmare).

Finished the night with more uno and some fun music back at the hostel. Woke up this morning around 5/530 to go for a run before the heat. Whenever I’m getting a bit testy I know I need to go for a run. When Alison and I travelled Greece she would notice when I would start getting moody and tell me to go for a run and sure enough it resets me completely. So with my battery reset we’re headed off to phi phi island. Finally meeting up with Jenna today, our final member of the gang!!!

I have to ask this since I won't stop thinking about it until I do, and I know its a long ways off from where the story is now, but I need to know...will Lime be good husbando when Mochi gets pregnant? Like is he one to get her what she asks for in the middle of the night or does he complain about it but still do it anyway?

OOOH NO HES A REALLY GOOD HUSBAND!!!!! GES SUPER GENTLE WITH HER ESPECIALLY WHEN SHES PREGNANT!!!!!!!!!!

Plus they go through a lot of stuff and by the time they actually get together hes calmed down enough that his snappy, do-it-my-way, stubborn assholish attitutde doesnt come out as often (since by then hed grown so accustomed to things that piss him off + the love of his life loves him back so every time hes with her hes the happiest person alive)

But lime is the pregnancy husband thats like.,. LOWKEY PARANOID LMFAO!!!!! mochi wakes him up in the middle of the night and he SHOOTS UP like "WHATS WRONG?! ARE YOU OKAY?!" and she just "oh! Yes! Sorry i scared you! I just wanted [misc pregnancy craving]" and hes like "oh- dont scare me like that." And gets her whatever she wanted

And on the flipside, mochi as a pregnant wife would obviously get snappy and mad at him, but its nothing he hasnt dealt with before with her (doesnt even come close to the big fight they had about mochi missing her chance on a rare ingredient because they were about to die fighting a slime monster and lime just picked her up and threw her through one of the doorways to save their asses), plus he knows she doesnt mean all the nasty stuff she says, and she always snuggles into his arms later and apologises and gives him lots of kisses so hes SUPER okay with it

You know, in a lot of ways, I've noticed Lime acts a lot like a cat, himself. He's a showoff when he wants to be, nudges and teases Mochi like crazy whenever he wants attention or a rise out of her, enjoys stealing food from her or otherwise demanding food, and the list goes on. I know a lot of it's teasing, but I can't help but wonder if this might be a reason in part for their kinship one with another. And to go with that, I wonder if that means he might not one day develop some cat traits too

HHHH THIS IS SO TRUE THO.,.....

thts kinda why i have a hard time pinning down what lime resembles most, bc on one hand hes like THIS, but on the other hand hes also kind of like a dog in that 1) he constantly craves cuddles/affection, 2) hes extremely loyal (and on the flipside of that pretty emotionally dependent, 3) can and will eat anything, 4) crawls into mochis bed all the time, 5) is very VERY active, etc

(which is why most of the time i associate him with a fox since hes kind of a mix of both. fox = catdog)
