This year I had the very high honor of co-hosting the Clangen Creator Community’s first pride event with Relgnira of @direclan, and I couldn’t be more grateful. With background art drawn by the wonderful and incredibly skilled @coffeecats900 of @bristleclanismissing, this truly turned out absolutely amazing and I’m extremely grateful for all her help. Last year I made a (very random) post about QL actors celebrating Bangkok Pride so this year I decided camp the socials again to find familiar faces because it was a lot of fun to do and it made me incredibly happy. 🌈

There's a lot of different parades and events today with more to come in the following weeks. Some actors might have to work today or won't post pictures until later. 🧡A decent cook, but if you're cooking for him expect to see him helping out or hopped up on the counter to chat. Kenny comes off as someone who adores quality time with a loved one, and every opportunity he has for it he's going to take

🧡First one to fall asleep and the last to wake up. Sleeps like the dead and his limbs will be all over the place come morning!

🧡Kenny is resourceful, and extremely hands on. Having grown up in a household where there was no choice but to fix things or deal with it taught him the value of what he had. If something is broken or not working right, he's going to grab his tools and try to fix it- but he will grumble if it doesn't work out (honestly kind of cute!) He just likes to show off that he can take care of things for you!

🧡Is the type to put some meaning into little holidays. He might not break out a suit and tie just to take you out to eat, but in the morning you'll have breakfast in bed and by the evening a little table for two set up with your favorite take out. Lowkey but meaningful. I also see him as the type to try and make gifts as well with the help of Karen

🧡Is a cuddle fiend. Doesn't matter what you're doing he will try to wrap his arms around you and cuddle in. Chopping veggies? His head is on your shoulder and nuzzling. Trying to talk on the phone while sitting on the counter? He's between your legs and hugging you tight. Personal space is not a thing in this household.

🧡Big on putting your memories up on the wall. Pictures, trinkets, gifts, anything that he finds to represent him and his partner is going to be displayed. The fridge is filled with magnets and little snapshots of your life.

🧡Snow days are the best days. Will beg you to bundle up to go outside and has zero issues acting like a kid when in the snow. You guys are building a snow man, snow angels, snow ball fights, the whole nine yards! You have to practically drag him back in with his red nose and frozen hands (which he just mentioned you'll have to warm them up!)

💛Rises and goes to bed with you, if you're not awake what's the point of him staying up? If you want to leave early and go to bed- he does too. Staying up to play a game? Oh he's more than down! Like Kenny I see him liking quality time, but also words of affirmation

💛Speaking of words, the man might make jokes, but at times waxes poetic words with that stutter of his making you do little more than blush. All that research and word play he does comes in handy!

💛Is the guy to instead refer to himself say "we" as though you are a part of every plan that involves him. He likes to have fun and in his eyes that means having you there with him.

💛Has a collection of comedy films- from the 70's all the way to today, he's got a lot of 'em. Doesn't care if they're "bad" and will playfully argue that you just "don't know what humor is!" Movie nights are a frequent thing with popcorn thrown and many kisses shared

💛Will go all out decorating for Halloween and Christmas. Don't know why I think this but I can see him getting a kick out of pissing off the neighbors with whatever light show he bankrolled. Also will pretend to be a scarecrow on the porch just to scare the kids (you did yell at him one year for it but he only found a way to work that interaction into a comedy routine)

💛That fluffy brown hair of his is an absolute mess in the morning- flying all over the place and honestly looks like he slept hard even if it was just a 20 minute nap. He knows it's a sight you love and will put off fixing it until the last minute

💛I like to think he's a big singer when he's in his own home. In the shower or cooking he's belting out some ballad and urging you to join in! Personally loves butchering the lyrics just to see you laugh

💛When watching tv loves to lay his head in your lap- will say it's the best seat in the house anyway so why shouldn't he use it! Whenever it get's late and whatever show you two watched get's boring, the volume is turned low while the two of you talk, just talk. It's often his favorite part of the day going over those mundane thoughts.

Happy New Year darlings. I hope 2025 is gentle and nourishing, fun and memorable in a good way.

Kicking off WIP Wednesday bright and early with something from the final chapter of Rhythms, which will be posted on Sunday. With this, I want to say another enormous thank you to everyone reading or who will read, and for all the support and encouragement. I began work on Rhythms in summer 2023, so it's been part of my life for a long time and it means a huge amount to me on a creative and personal level. I feel highly emotional about bringing it into 2025 and then having to let it go. Readers, take good care of this Carlos for me 🧡

Carlos nods and stands. As he stands, it’s like the world drops away from him. Everyone is staring up from far away, like he’s a balloon someone let go of.

As he walks to the microphone, Carlos becomes uncomfortably aware of his size. He’s a big guy, standing at a sturdy six-foot tall, statuesque and hunky. A former wrestler. A Ranger now. A weight-lifter, a treadmiller, a rowing machiner, an exercise biker, a kick-boxer. Name the gym equipment, and he’ll tell you his speed, his endurance, what he lifts – and it’ll impress anyone. But right now none of that counts for biscuits. On his way to the microphone, in front of everyone he knows and a whole bunch of strangers, he is trudging and lumbering, dragging his knuckles along the floor like an orangutan. He sees himself, huge of body but puny of mind. A friendly yet foolish giant who with one wrong move will make every shelf in this bookstore topple.

When he arrives at the microphone he clears his throat. The sound of him grunting fills the room. He makes eye-contact with Tommy, who cringes a little but nods him on encouragingly. She’s a performer. She sang beautifully at their wedding. Being Alive – Gwyn’s favorite song from the Company recording.

He feels like an utter oaf. A buffoon.

What he is doing?

Tommy – an amateur musical theater person, yes, but still a masterful singer – is about to watch him bumble through his poems. A disaster before it’s even begun.

But then he detects a movement in front of him. TK raises himself up in his chair, sits up straight, gazes at him intently and with wonder. Carlos scans the rows around him. Everyone who has come to support him tonight looks just the same. Ready for what he has to tell them.

Someone to crowd you with love

“The tickle monster!” Sanemi attacked, which was a bit of a relief for Genya, because having the butterflies you get before a tickle for so long is horrible

“What? I can't understand you because of the laughter”

“IHIHIHI HAHAHATE YOHOHOHOU” Genya laughed louder when his brother ran his hands over his armpits

“Oh, you love me” Sanemi lifted Genya's shirt and released a raspberry, he already had practice in tickling the boy and had known about this super weak point for a long time

The older brother went back to talking about dating with the little one, Genya, poor guy, honestly didn’t care about dating, but talking about cool stuff with his brother was amazing, and having quality time with him too, that was wonderful

Genya wasn’t the only person who was attacked by Sanemi’s bad humor that day, but he was definitely the one who suffered the most

Uhhh does anyone still care about Inside Out fankids?? Because I may or may not have made some lil guys

To start with, here's my Brickstar kid, Courage! ❤️💛

He's probably my favourite, he's such a dork and I love him for that 😅

One thing that I tried to do with his fire/hair (?) was to make it look sort of messy, like Joy's hair, despite the fact that in animation it would probably shift shape a lot (I just don't have the patience to draw that lol). Anger's flames tend to burst out in one general direction, so for some extra flare (heh) in Courage's design I thought it'd be neat if his fire was more like a spread rather than an eruption (if that makes any sense whatsoever), considering his is always there rather than only showing up in extreme cases of emotion.

His clothes started out as being partly inspired by Marty McFly's in Back to the Future, what with the puffy jacket... It didn't end up resembling that look whatsoever, but I think it turned out ok.

Then there's Paranoia, my Anxifear child! 💜🧡

She's probably the least interesting design-wise, but I love her anyway 🫡

It was very easy to mesh Fear and Anxiety's looks into one, as they have the same sort of eyes (big, round; they give me Kermit the frog vibes if I'm being honest) and floating eyebrows. After I'd figured that out, the main issue for me was her clothes- Originally, I had her in a skirt and blazer (I was trying to make it resemble a school uniform because she tries to be neat and organised) but it didn't look right, so I prioritised her comfort and dumped her in two jumpers and trousers. I like to think she gets cold very easily, so two jumpers are better than one for her.

At first, I was worried that brown would be quite a difficult colour to work with, but ultimately I think her colour palette isn't too bad!

Then we have Shyness, my Tearblush kid! 💙🩷

I am so sorry for the accidental Embarrassment slander, he's really difficult to draw for some reason 😭

At last we have reached the group's resident Soft Boy™. Like with Paranoia, I operated on the idea that they could get cold quite easily, so I gave them a scarf, mittens, slippers, etc.

His shapes are very similar to Sadness', he's just smaller. Their initial name was Timidity, but I thought that Shyness worked better as their name in the end.

I think that his colours are quite nice; It was fairly simple to get the various purples to work together. I tried to use pink-ish purple to contrast more with Fear's blue-ish purple, just to make sure that you could more easily tell which emotion was working at the console.

Last but not least, here's Apathy, my Fancyphone child! 💚🖤 She's probably my second favourite, after Courage

Aside from Shyness, I'd say that her design was the easiest to come up with. The first thought that came into my head when thinking about her design was "Okay so what if she was goth??" and I loved that idea so I ran with it. While I don't think I captured the goth aesthetic perfectly, I still think her clothes are pretty cool! Admittedly it was a bit difficult trying to balance the colours so that her turquoise colour was present, but still dark enough that it looked vaguely like something a goth would wear, but it actually doesn't look too bad. Not too sure on her hair though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

She and Envy, as shown in one of the doodles, have a sibling dynamic, as I picture Disgust and Ennui as parental figures for Envy, so naturally she and their kid would be sisters! They don't always get along (I think Ennui's "You care too much about things" towards Envy fits their dynamic pretty well), but they do love each other! Envy thinks Apathy's clothes are really cool and wants to emulate her style, which she fails miserably in doing but kudos to her for trying 🫡

Also I had an idea where maybe the kids could channel their parents' emotions and essentially do what they can do? I'm not really sure how to explain it, but I was thinking that if all of the main emotions had to go off and do something, Riley wouldn't be too badly effected because the kids can just fill in for their parents?

I did draw an example, but I only had the motivation to do it for Courage, so here's that:

So if all four of them have two parents, that means two alternate emotions for all of them. Hypothetically, the only emotion they wouldn't have in their arsenal would be Envy (and Nostalgia I guess, but she'd be in the basement if they needed her), so they could probably handle it... After they all have a sufficient amount of experience, of course.

I might make a comic at some point about Courage spawning in Headquarters one day, and everyone freaking out about it (Especially Anger lmao; Bro is not prepared to be a dad and it shows (although I like to think that he and Joy would be great parents in the long run :D))

Hey so ummm. This is the girl who needs to vacuum pack her skirts so they’ll fit in her wardrobe again and uuuuuuuuhhhh…..

Turns out I have 69 of your skirts as of right now, with 4 more coming in the mail. Including my couple skirts from fresh hot flavors and witch vamp I have a total of 82 skirts not counting the ones coming in the mail. I also have every color of wrap top and about five of your button downs in my closet, along with the two petticoats I ordered from you haha…. So uuuhhh I think I win??? This is definitely why I’m at the point of “guys I did a bad” “you got more skirts didn’t you” in my household.

The first couple pictures are of all my skirts, and the last couple are of just your works, sorted by maxi midi mini, and then by old manu and new manu, time to start picking which ones to vacuum!

In all seriousness I wanted to thank you for your work and your dedication to your craft, these skirts have lasted me quite a while and are always super comfortable. There is a reason I’ve continued to buy more and more as time went on, and they genuinely bring me happiness in my everyday life!

But yeah, definitely gonna be nervously laughing and covering my closet anytime someone says their collection of 20 is big, haha!

Keep up the great work! I will be continuing to support for years to come for sure! (Especially if you end up making that dress you showed once teehee 🤭)
