guys my new fish is so smol 😭 They're really gonna be living in the quarantine tank for 1-2 months at least not just for you know checking for illness but also so they can get big enough to not be a goldfish snack.

I think I got pretty standard lil bristle nose pleco. They're brownish and covered in spots. It's hard to get a good picture since they're so tiny. Like barely longer than my thumb nail. And they're always on the glass since i got them home so i'm only able to get pictures of their tummy and mouth. So pictures eventually since currently they're not super interesting pictures. (compared to when i brought home baby penny and patches who while small were already pretty flashy and stood out really well. This lil guy just wants to blend in)

#the pixie speaks #should i make a fish tag?#also a nice thing about petco while they're not my most recommended for all types of fish i will say they do have a 30 day guarantee on my #new pleco baby. which is really nice for a young fish since sometimes things do just happen that you can't see. where as some of the fancie #sellers i was looking into were like nah once you have it it's out of our hands #i recommend looking into good breeders for say fancy goldfish to avoid genetic issues (which cost $$$)#but plecos are generally healthy and hardy and don't suffer from the same sorts of breeding issues so i feel a bit safer getting them at #a chain pet store #also they were just super nice and seemed really relived the second it became apparent i knew what i was talking about and that i had tank #that's just for the new pleco to grow in and monitor it's health #also were pleased to learn about my fancies and how old they are and their size (since a lot of people get gold fish only for them to not #make it very long or to have stunted growth and live in poor health)#so i got to enjoy some fish talk this morning #i may have gave them whiplash because they got to hear my morning deep voice over the phone and then they actually got to see me in person #and i could see the guy i talked to on the on the phone doing calculations in his head
