#i was already using modified twice AND i was using “enchantments” and “auras” and “artifacts” and “equipment” as separate themes

Note
You're more amazing than tortles (the D&D species)
I have some very tragic news about tortles
Oh also here's the draft archetypes I sketched out for Modified Set 2.0

#i was kinda struggling to get a 10th archetype after adding artifact and enchantment themes and heroic#then i realized that artifact and enchantment creatures would probably be A Thing#so why not make them a unified creature type?#i was calling them “craftfolk” for a bit before digging through the creature types and settling on elementals#which still isn't final because i'm not sure what the flavor of the set is going to be now#i was already using modified twice AND i was using “enchantments” and “auras” and “artifacts” and “equipment” as separate themes#so i really didn't have room for more redundancy#so throwing in a nice creature type typal theme worked#and most the elemental support will also work with enchantments or artifacts depending on if the card is white or red#like “if you control an enchantment or an elemental this spell costs 1 less to cast” on a white card#so that way the elemental typal support cards also work as enchantment/artifact support cards!#it is still kinda redundant but it's unique enough for me#originally i was thinking of doing a “balance” theme of artifacts+enchantments like Kamigawa Neon Dynasty did#but white ONLY had enchantments and red ONLY had artifacts#originally i was looking to fill the WB archetype but since targeting spells are a great way to do keyword counters i moved heroic to WB#so that way black has keyword counters to work with the BG archetype#WB still had the same problem anyway of black not having enchantments#ANYWAY i figured it all out so everything is cool now#kinda funny to have black be “heroic” though#working out the flavor on that is gonna be weird#ka asks
