1. which character do you relate to the most from your fandom?

yun jin and xingqiu! i too am a slave to pergormative expectations perpetuated by repetitive bouts of generational trauma and the subtleties and pressure of excessively overbearing relatives and peers.

also im a theatre kid and a bookworm as well as a little shit so yeah FKFHKDHD /J

2. which character do you look the most like?

yinxing from the crux fleet tbh KDHDJD NO BUT SRSLY THAT IS WHAT I LOOK LIKE although as far as playable characters go, the closest i have is yun jin dkdhjd

3. what is your favorite ship?

xingyun, beiguang, yunyan, and jeanlisa!! ALSO YANTAO i actually have soooo many and if u chuck a ship down my throat enough times i learn to love it FSJDGJD yunyan, xingyun and yantao r my comfort ships tho ;-;;;

for npcs, i have anisa x kumi (lesbians <3), huffman x herbalist gui (i beg you don't ask pls ask /j), durin x dvalin (blame the dragonspine spear lore)

4. what is your favorite CANON ship?

everyone x therapy tbh <3

just kidding, but do we even have canon ships tho— LMAO BUT THERE ARE A FEW from the top of my head, rosalyne x rostam, the sojourner x his lady love, huachu x jiangqiu (DAMN THESE TWO HAVE SUCH A DRAMATUC BACKSTORY PLS READ IT), glory x godwin is good too if godwin would just face his fucking problems and come home, hiiragi chisato x kujou kamaji is fantastic omh

5. who is your favorite character (and maybe why?)

mmm this is hard especially bc favorite is so subjective TT like are you talking about the character i think about the most? that's kaeya & childe tbh i like them a normal unromantic amount

but character i enjoy the most is venti!! i wanna give him all the hugs. fave archon go brr also he has the most hidden amount of lore considering he avoids talking abt shit and is generally so distracting, i love him <3

ALSO LET'S NOT FORGET GUIZHONG <333 i swear to god i'll never actually shut up abt her she is so amazing her lore is fantastic i want to give her all the love and affection and sacrifice teyvat for her

6. when you first think of the fandom, what image comes to mind?

a burning dumpster :D /j admittedly the genshin fandom can be crap, especially outside of tumblr but there are a lot of rlly cool ppl everywhere and that makes me happy pvq

7. when did you join the fandom?

when i started playing, i think?? but it took me a while to actually integrate myself into the fandom bc i was like: who is this character?? what the fuck is happening??? im still like that now and u can see me writing long metas as if i actually understand anything ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ

8. WHY did you join the fandom???

i thought it'd be fun!! plus the ships were nice and my friends are vv encouraging and i love it sm *hugs the dumpster fire*

10. what song do you associate with a ship?

enchanted by taylor swift for yunyan!! i like to imagine it's yun jin singing this about the first time she met xinyan in a gathering for performers in liyue, and she was just. wonderstruck until she realized she was talking to xinyan, the xinyan, her idol and— SHUTTING UP NOW

11. what song do you associate with a character (or 2)?

surprisingly enough i don't associate genshin characters with songs a lot, but 就寝御礼 by PSYQUI reminds me a lot of kaeya!

12. favorite hc for a ship, character, etc.

OHH I HAVE A TON

after the lantern rite event, ganyu tries to take more time to get closer to shenhe and takes her around liyue harbor. shenhe, although a bit reluctant, slowly accepted it and was internally really thankful that ganyu was helping her.

yun jin and xinyan love having duets and switching genres when they're hanging out! xinyan secretly enjoys seeing yun jin so happy and genuinely fascinated with rock and roll because absolutely no one in liyue was willing to show her the same enthusiasm.

beidou and ningguang have a separate house from the jade chamber and the alcor because i absolutely refuse to believe they actually live in there /j so unlike most people who have to search for ancient adeptal seals or rare ores to please lady ningguang so they could answer a question, beidou just goes to their bed and shakes her wife awake :D

ayato and diluc know each other. i offer no context

childe once trekked up dragonspine and just sat there for two hours. i once again offer zero context

lisa knows about the legend of the crimson witch of flames and is deathly afraid of suffering the same fate. much like lisa, she was a powerful witch, to the point where she was capable of creating and manipulating fire itself, even without a vision. there was a certain fear in the realization that the same powerful witch was consumed by rage and power at the loss of her lover, only to die out as frost consumed her flames.

diluc, pre-crepus death, was an avid barbatos fan. much like barbara. i offer even less context

13. if you could be in the universe of the characters what would you do first?

LEAVE /J if i were in the universe, i'd probably be a scholar from sumeru and if so i wanna walk around the ruins of liyue and see the civilization that could have been in guili plains, i want to gaze at stormterror's lair and witness the visceral rage the tyrant decarabian unleashed upon his own people, i want to pray at narukami shrine and linger on the truths of gods and mortals, immortality and eternity. i want to climb upon dragonspine and see the nail dropped from the heavens itself and question the true intentions of the gods that governed us.

also i wanna eat an adeptus temptation :D
