I went through something similar fifteen years ago when I left another platform and ended up on tumblr - cos back then some fandom spaces were going through a similar braindead phase of fandom creators not being supported at all, not through comments, or likes, or shares, let alone monetary - one day, I've spent hours arguing with an angry crowd that was telling me that as an artist, I do not deserve any encouragement, comments, any sort of engagement and should want to draw them stuff just cos it's my inner calling or something. I've already seen people being overfed with content, feeling entitled and not regarding artists as human beings but some weird mixture of conveyor belts and inspired entities with their lives solely dedicated to art, producing content for them to throw a passing glace at, or better still, shit all over it cos it didn't meet their high standards. And what I'm seeing now is exactly that again.
How dare creators exist in the real world with stuff costing money? Don't they realize they OWE art to the people? Don't they know it's a basic human right, to receive services and stuff for free? But also, when creators actually are doing it for free, they're doing it all wrong: using unethical platforms, advertising unethical products, collabing with unethical sponsors, not giving enough content, providing the wrong content, employing too many people - i.e., no matter what you do, you're always wrong, because the customer is always right, isn't it, especially when they're not paying a dime.
The fandom is full of Karens who think they're some sort of revolutionaries and it's both hilarious and repulsive.

I think I'm having kuro hyperfix overload. There's just so much new content from fans and official alike. I've recently been learning more about twitter and every day there are more and more posts I see that I feel like I'm being overfed and not in the good way.
Kuro itches my brain so right and when I watch any other show even the ones I loved before it just feels like a prelude to consuming bb content again. But when I do focus on Kuro I feel I'm not appreciating it enough. Because there's so much content being made by fellow fans every minute, I couldn't savor it fast enough for the creators to feel my love like when I got on Tumblr.
Compared to Tumblr, Twitter is so fast. There are way more Kuro and sbcl artists there than here in Tumblr, and that's both good and bad for me I think.
Since it's slower here I'm able to appreciate every little detail and come back to it and expand on it through reblogs. But Twitter is so huge and a post could disappear soon and there're not enough characters for me to express my thoughts.
Tumblr is a superior platform for me in that it urges me to slow down and appreciate every beloved lengthy thing. Even find posts and analysis that are years old. Twitter is like punch after punch after punch. Like a battle for the newest and most popular. It makes me feel some kind of FOMO
Maybe I need a bb break? Just for a few days? I've been riding this train with black butler everyday for every waking minute for 5 months straight and it's been such a joy but I feel both overwhelmed and underwhelmed because I feel like I've discovered so much already about it but also not enough.
I love you kuro. I'll be back for the new episode. And I'll see you soon my lovelies 🫂

And this is why I will never like- nor stand for big tech giants / corps.
They monopolize and dictate what people should or shouldn't be doing.
The bad news for Google is that I'd rather wait 5 seconds of nothing than watch any more of their dumb ads. They make enough ad revenue, and I am not keen on being brainwashed with ads every day. Yes it's a free service- No, I won't pay for it to feed the rich (who are already overfed) + I grew up on a free internet. Too many things in this life are paid for. Let me enjoy my little silly relaxation content for free. I'm entitled to taking good care of my mental health after a hard day of work in your capitalistic ruthless society.
Sorry, not sorry.
Was always, and will always stay with Firefox and uBlock Origin for as long as I live- I will happily die on that hill, while retaining my digital rights to privacy and freedom.

I haven't personally verified this as I'm not at a computer, but multiple people in multiple places are saying the same thing. This is fucking insane. First the endless war on UBlock, then the Chromium changes to shut out some blocker functionalities entirely next year, now this?
Something is deeply rotten in recent Google/YouTube policy. I can't imagine that this is legal - how is this not anticompetitive? Google needs to get mega fucked in the press and the courts sooner rather than later.
And I need to switch to Firefox as soon as I get home.

Content Warning for "UrbanSPOOK" Analog Horror Series
So, in recent months, a new analog horror/ARG series called UrbanSPOOK has joined Youtube, and it's even been covered by a number of indie horror exploration channels (i.e. Goose Boose, Gearisko, etc.), which I know is going to pull a lot of new viewers towards the channel. However, a number of things in the series really need to be addressed, since they're not exactly warned about in the series. This post is not a callout nor any call to harass the creator, Urbanslug; I just wanted to step in and raise a flag.
UrbanSPOOK's premise is that several VHS tapes have been found, of unknown origin, cataloguing the crimes of an unknown serial killer who leaves behind surrealist paintings of their crimes. Little clues as to what happened to their victims are dropped in the evidence, paintings, and witness testimonials, and these can be very disturbing, far more so than other indie series. A disclaimer does play at the beginning of each "tape" warning about general violence and disturbing content. However, I feel people should be aware of sexual violence when going into media of any kind. Moreover, the series's creator sells merch of all of the killer's paintings, including the ones heavily implied to be of abused children.
(Content warning for the rest of this post: references to animal abuse, child abuse, CSA, descriptions of highly violent acts. Don't say I didn't warn you; these descriptions are written only as detailed as they need to be in order to convey why new viewers should approach with caution, and why it's a little Uhhhhh how merch is being sold of these (fictional) crimes.)
At least two of the unnamed killer's victims are children. Most significantly, one painting unveiled in the first episode, "FACES", is called "Fucktoy Cory", depicting a bloated body's face. The third episode, "IN THE WALLS", reveals Cory is the name of an 11 year old, one of two twins who were both murdered, split in half, and then sewn one to the other. The creator has confirmed the painting is of the murdered boy named Cory.
In the most recent episode, "PIGS", a child's severed, eyeless head is found in an abandoned building the killer had been living in. Her painting is called "Four Holes Fiona". There has been a lot of speculation in the video's comments as to what the implications are about this title, most of them concluding that the killer was using the head for something foul.
In the same episode, Fiona's grandmother Mae is found heavily ravaged and dead from internal bleeding, along with a horse that died from heart failure after being overfed sildenafil citrate - the pharmaceutical name for Viagra. Mae's painting is called "Breeding Mount Mae". A breeding mount is a piece of farm equipment meant for stallions to mate with, so their semen can be collected for equine breeding.
The creator of the series promises that things will only get "worse" as it goes along, which is worrying, especially when the only disclaimers given are for "violent and disturbing content" and this content goes from "skinned alive" to "fucked to death by a horse" at the drop of a hat. The paintings for all of the above, along with the rest of the paintings, are sold at their official Creator-Spring shop, on t-shirts. I'm not entirely sure why you'd want to wear something knowing its original context is someone getting killed with the ole "Mr. Hands" maneuvre, but take this as a record that these images, with the same titles given in-series, were available at one point as on-demand printed merchandise.
Finally, a friend brought up to me that "spook" is a racial epithet against Black people in America. However, Urbanslug is from Sweden and likely did not know of the word's connotations other than meaning "spooky", or "scary". I will clear them on that accusation.
Again, do not go and harass the creator of this series. This post is just intended as a sort of warning label. Analog horror is more popular than ever, and with the Writer's Guild strike coming up, I anticipate a lot of people will begin looking for indie series to consume while mainstream television is put on hold. I walked into this series blind, and had no idea how grim it was going to get so soon.
You can call me a wimp, or "triggered", or whatever the hell you'd like for making a post about this, but extreme media and figuring out how far is too far is one of my big focuses in my journalism and archiving. I just finished an article about Agony in Pink that concluded with me saying it had the right to exist; with this in mind, UrbanSPOOK was so extreme and so under-warned that even I had to say something.

꒰ Demonstration of a Relevant Ability: Rain in a Miniscule Scale ꒱
The campus greenhouse was a popular site for students to flock to, doing all sorts of activities inside. Whether it be for the purpose of hanging out only and admire the year-round wet weather through glass walls coated in raindrops, or for agricultural research and other academic-related tasks. This Garden of Eden in a transparent house, filled with flora from floor to ceiling, sometimes attracting tiny flying fauna, has got you covered with all of your needs.
Clouds of small amounts spawn around a set of basil plants and other herbs that had been crossbred since at least two months in an experiment conducted by Denver and Madeleine in an attempt to create a hybrid plant which will be used in the field of medicine. Rain showers the newly bred herb, absorbing every drop of it yet just enough to keep it from being overfed, the cloud slowly disappearing in the process. Denver watches through the entire act, mesmerized at the thought of seeing the regular precipitation in a smaller scale.
"That looked beautiful." He says as he takes a closer glance at the shrinking wisp, fighting off the urge to let his finger feel through it, knowing that the rainwater must not contain any dirt from his hands. So-called 'magic' was a common thing, a trait often categorized based on the ancient Greek concept of the four fundamental elements; air, earth, water, and fire; albeit only about half the population possesses them naturally, otherwise it is learned by those who aren't capable of it. Yet, it still never disappoints to mesmerize the human eye.
"I find it beautiful as well. I would sometimes create little tornadoes about the size of my palm as demonstration for when I get bored or when I'm studying about meteorology." Madeleine slightly smiles at the compliment, a bit embarrassed upon receiving it for something so trivial— at least to her. She then lifts her left hand, a cloud fading in around her before lifting itself in thin air.
"Don't get me wrong, but I don't see why you have to compliment that when you can speed up the growth of plants, quickly let flowers bloom and fruits to ripen— a very relevant ability for agriculture. Crops would be flooding in the markets with an ability like yours."
"Well, thank you. This wouldn't have been possible under five months if it weren't for wizardry." He watches as the clouds float around her, now travelling to the other plants displayed. Hesitating for a minute, Denver finally asks a question he found rather childish.
"My apologies for bringing up a silly question, but would you mind if I touch those?" He points at the clouds that Madeleine may have seemed to forgot spawned just a few moments ago.
"Ah, these? Sure. I wouldn't mind. They're cold and made of really tiny droplets, so they're a bit damp as well. You really wouldn't feel a solid texture." With a move of her hand, one lowered and moved between them, allowing Denver to easily touch it without reaching up and struggling. He lets his hand through the cloud, feeling a sudden cold, yet humid texture exactly like she described.
"It feels cold, and a bit funny for some reason. Great how these give us water in many forms when they themselves are made of it."
"Congratulations, you have experienced a childhood dream of many." She chuckles and he did as well before going back to their experiment.

More content about Dandelion and his equally nerdy friend. There are a lot to unpack about their setting which I may or may not have publicized, such as the fact that magic exists, and is something aquired through either birth or learning and training. Madeleine is capable of manipulating clouds, and Denver can manipulate plant growth. Both have their limitations, Madeleine having to take an incapable amount of physical energy just to create a supercell cloud, causing her to become severely exhausted and pass out, her physique weaker than average serving as an obstruction and limitation. Denver's ability is limited to plant growth only, not being able to prevent its death. They still tend to play around with their abilities despite that.
Anyways, the final two characters out of six will be put into progress afterwards.

It's like there's no need to anything really anymore, Jikook is serving us and we can just sit back and watch and wonder wth is going on, but whatever it is it's good and we're enjoying and keep doing what your doing, thank you. It's a Jikook festive season everyone! (I'm dreading how will I survive the time when they aren't as active with the content, because now I'm getting used to being overfed, or maybe I can finally get proper sleep if that happens)
That’s right, anon, ho freaking ho!!
Let’s hope 2021 starts better than 2020 did... 🤞
