what does this mean
#i'm gonna dial back the critiquing in a second i promise#but. how does shock numbing your brain result in you vaguely noticing details about the fence#is the shock making it vague? you are in an emergency situation why are you noticing fence paint at all#is the shock making you notice irrelevant details? in that case i don't think 'numb' is the right word#i'm also not sure what she's in shock ABOUT - she's running to address a danger she's just noticed#wouldn't that still be adrenaline? isn't shock what hits you in the aftermath?#idk idk
