UQ Holder News: Alteil Chronicle & UQ Holder Collaboration!

The mobile game, Alteil Chronicle and UQ Holder are doing a collaboration in celebration of UQ’s upcoming anime series. Characters and such from the series will appear in Alteil Chronicle. Yukihime, Kirie, Karin, and Kuromaru will appear in the AC world and there will be limited-time story-related events involving Touta. Other content from UQ Holder will appear as well.

There was log-in bonuses through the month of August, giving player’s UQ tickets that can be used in a Gacha-type game for exclusive bonuses. Just logging in between August 22 - September 19, 2017 will award you the Ice Queen herself, Yukihime. It’s pretty cool to see UQ Holder already being featured in a game and we’ll definitely post more details about this when they come out.

Negima blu-ray BOX III Bonuses Revealed

BOX III releases September 20th, 2017. And with that, all bonuses have been revealed!. I have to say, I’m a bit surprised the bulk of the seller’s bonus items take art from the second anime series for this box rather than the OAD ones. ​ So, what do you think? UQ Holder! Vol. 14 Manga Covers Revealed

The new cover for UQ Holder’s Volume 14 manga has been revealed and features Kirie front and center with Touta peering over from the back. The uncensored cover for the limited edition version has also been revealed, featuring a far more risque cover. Whether future limited edition releases will have uncensored/altered covers is yet to be known. Both versions will release on September 8th, 2017 in Japan. So, what do you think of this new design?

Negima Volume 19 Re-release Cover Revealed!

If you aren’t familiar with the re-releases, Negima’s manga is being released once again in omnibus, featuring brand new covers with the new UQ Holder art style. On the final cover is the immortal queen of ice and master of Negi, the Dark Evangel, Evangeline A.K. McDowell. This volume will be released September 8th! So, with that, all covers have been revealed. I would have quite enjoyed seeing the entire class in the new art style, but what was released looks great. Are you happy about Evangeline appearing on the last cover? Which was your favorite?

News: Negima Re-release Bonus Revealed!

If you remember correctly, for purchasing the first ten Negima Re-releases and sending in proof pf purchase, you’d be sent a bonus item. Today, Ken Akamatsu revealed it to be an exclusive UQ Holder Fanbook. Though not a whole lot is known at this time, it was stated to be 40 pages and it will contain info that was not in the serial release. Hopefully, someone who earned it will fill us in with the info inside. Did you earn it? Are you happy with the bonus? Let us known!

Ala Alba Now has a Subreddit!

So recently, we decided to move away from the forum, especially due to it being hosted offsite and instead made the decision to form a subreddit for our fansite. With this, we hope we can more thoroughly open up discussion between fans and it’ll be easier to share interesting news, submit fanworks, and ultimately just converse about Negima, UQ Holder, etc. The subreddit still needs spruced up a bit and we’d like to hire mods to help supervise it, so if you’re interested in helping out, please contact us through Reddit. I needed an excuse to practice drawing male anatomy, Rakan seemed like the perfect choice. He always shows off his abs, so I thought “why not.” lol  I know his proportions are off and he should be 3x bigger than the average guy, but I guess I’m still learning. :P I really like his new sword in UQ Holder!
