A Disappointing Start

The plan this morning was a steady 6 miles in the sun. That didn’t work out. 4 miles in my knee cap started grinding against my bone. It’s quite painful at its worse. This has happened because yesterday a friend’s 5 year old daughter used me as an acrobatic frame and kicked my knee by mistake. It was quite painful at the time but I didn’t think it would stay. I have some stretches to strengthen the knee that should sort it out by Tuesday’s club run.

What’s disappointing is that I turned down a ride out on my bike to go run instead. The bike wouldn’t aggravate the knee like running so it would’ve had longer to rest.

Anyway, let’s look at the positives. The first 5k was at a good pace. I did it in just over 22 minutes. To say I was taking it easy, I’m happy with that. The rest of the run was awful. Painful even when walking. I took the quiet way back but it was full of runners and bike riders whizzing past as I walked with a limp. How pathetic I must’ve looked.

Rest of the day involves watching the London marathon, the men’s itu wts triathlon from cape town cheering on Alister Brownlee with my 11 day old son. He’ll probably sleep though it.

Tak. Patnáctý duben čtrnáctého roku třetího tisíciletí budiž dnem, kdy si PZB konečně založí blog. Dlouho jsem o tom přemýšlel, ale měl jsem strach, že nebudu mít co psát. Ale ono to vlastně možná ani není tak moc o tom, jestli má člověk co psát, jako o tom, jestli má kam psát. Trošku jsem se teď vybíjel na NewMyspace, ale tam je frustrující sledovat, jak prostě vůbec nikoho nezajímá, co tam člověk provádí, protože je to dělané na spousty lidí, kteří budou connectlí a tak. A tam nejsou spousty lidí. A tak. Tady můžu být sám a být na to hrdý, protože tak to undergroundový bloggeři dělají, ne? Chm. Ahoj, já jsem PZB.
