I need help naming my Champions AU. I want to share it to Ao3 but I have no idea what to call it.

It features the Champions in a university setting, where they meet through a creative writing class and become friends. The story is Scott Summers-centric because he's one of my favorite fictional characters.

The plot of the fic is that students start going missing from the University and the Champions get concerned and start looking for the missing students.

It'll also feature some of my favorite ships, including Iceclops (Scott Summers x Bobby Drake), MoonDevil (Matt Murdock x Marc Spector/Steven Grant/Jake Lockley), Marvison (I don't think it has an actual name but Kamala Khan x Viv Vision) and Cherik (as a kind of side thing, Charles Xavier x Erik Lehnsherr).

One of the other important things is that MoonDevil adopted Scott.

If you have any name recommendations, please let me know.

It's a university mystery/crime AU, in which Scott was adopted by my crack ship MoonDevil and gets to make friends with the Champions and O5 X-Men.

in the bmo alarm clock scene, there is a grape soda, possibly sheryl porp. there's even what appears to be a poster with a crown similar to the ice king's and a blue-green book on top of the pile that resembles the face of the iceclops.

I don't think anything in that shot is a definite reference except for the alarm clock.

Adventure Time Pilot Episode!

Princess Bubblegum is imprisoned by the Ice King. Jake and Finn battle their way past the Iceclops, Snow Golem, and other monsters that inhabit the Ice Kingdom to rescue her.

if you think about it, the ice kingdom in ooo had more denizens than the winter kingdom. it had snow monsters, iceclops, and penguins as citizens who more or less just tolerated the ice king.

love how……. empty the winter king’s ice kingdom is. it’s very deliberate. it’s not like it’s hard to have, you know, people in the background, walking around, Populating The World. compare it to the regular candy kingdom or the town in farmworld… there’s no one there. no one lives there. there’s no other real people just things winter king made and. penguins. just… interesting.

in the PDA entry for the Arctic Peeper, a researcher notes they don’t like the auto-generated name, suggesting “Iceclops.”

admittedly, this is a fun take on the fact that peepers have one large eye on the side of their head. unfortunately, there’s one problem; the peeper has two symmetrical sides.

this could suggest that this researcher is, despite getting a job working as a xenobiologist on a hostile world with the authority to alter official documents, an idiot. alternatively, maybe the number of fish on the planet with a weird number of eyes made them forget that two is, actually, the “normal” number of eyes to have. Alternatively, it could just show that anyone who spends time on 4546B ends up a little bit weird, as evidenced by my seabase, which is essentially a massive mushroom farm.

How would we feel about Scott nicknaming Bobby "Snowball"?

Like one Sunday morning, Scott sleeps in, and Bobby starts making breakfast, humming to himself.

And Scott comes up behind him after crawling out of bed, wrapping his arms around Bobby's waist and murmurs, "Breakfast smells amazing Snowball."

So Bobby just kind of freezes (not literally) like "did...did Scott just give me a nickname?"

Anyway, that's my thought for the day.

does anyone know if a pair name for Sarah and Rob has already been invented? I looked around for one, but couldn't find it. I know they've never met onscreen, but then again Rob's second most popular ship is also with a guy he's never met onscreen lol

(the story is still going to stay Sarah x Rob romance free, don't worry!)

my thoughts: Sarob (nah), Sararob (basic but fine), Robrah (I don't like the way this one looks), maybe it could be a pun like Robckyroad or something? Wreckyroad? If we don't use either of their names it could be something like nemestalks, or glitchycream, or nemecice, or iceclops? do any of these sound good at all? I like iceclops personally but that's also an adventure time character.

Let me sell you on the pairing, folks who haven't or can't read my fic, below the cut:

Both have lives that largely revolve around the same guy, even if they approach him with opposite viewpoints. In other words, they share a common pastime.

Both have a level of narrative awareness other characters lack. Rob knows his universe is fictional, Sarah lives life like her universe is fictional.

Their personalities are practically opposites; Sarah is cheerful, passionate, and creative (and obsessive), Rob is angsty, often dejected, and destructive (and obsessive). Both of them show happiness when playing out the theatrical aspects of their self-imposed (or Gumball-imposed) "roles".

Likewise, both of them are, to an extent, playing roles Gumball assigned them in relatively similar scenes. He suggested Sarah be the creepy obsessive one when trying to find a sitcom role for her, and he suggested Rob be his nemesis when trying to find a place in the story for him.

Rob is conflicted about being forced into a role while Sarah seems to thrive and make the most of her role.

Both of them have heavy cases of chuunibyou sometimes, let's be real.

"but Sarah has a crush on Gumball and Darwin!" yeah, and I know, it's hard to get around. but people ship Gumball, who has a girlfriend, with other characters as well, and clearly Sarah isn't totally opposed to the idea of someone else with Gumball judging by the Carrie/Gumball and Darwin/Gumball scenes in The Shippening. And if that doesn't convince you? hey, let sararob be a friendship. that's what I've been doing!
