Maybe that was in the past? Maybe... All of that was resonated into the Empty SEKAI, the one that belongs to Mafuyu?

Maybe that explains why the SEKAI has one to no emotion put to it at all!! Maybe because Asriel misses his place at home, Frisk and Chara wanted to do their own things on their own, and maybe Papyrus is the only one who truly cared about the SEKAI, but is too weighed down to admit it?

Various Ideas For How That One Deltarune Chapter 3 Guy Could Be A Secret Boss

only making the title vague in case anyone who hasn't played yet gets this in your feed so i can hide it all under the cut just don't read the tags or else you'll see an incredibly vague name we already knew before the chapters released thanks to spamton sweepstakes oh no, if you've played ch3 you know exactly who this is about lol

i'm pretty sure i've listened to every fanmade ramb theme that's been uploaded to youtube. all 50+ of them. add my name to the list of people who have shed a tear for him. if you keep track of that sort of thing.

anyways i wanted to come up with my own idea for what a ramb fight would be like since i noticed not that many of them seemed to have much beyond a vague concept and a sketch or two... but then i couldn't really come up with much either? i kept finding good starting points but couldn't get them to fit together or flesh them out, so instead here's like all of my disconnected notes to mix and match as you see fit idfk, you're free to take them for yourself hopefully someone resonates with at least one of my ideas

(all of my ideas are for wereramb, sorry does the one dracula ramb idea have a name, that idea's super cool too and I'm glad there's some variety for ramb, I just already have a thing for bosses that are upgraded versions of enemies but with cool design changes and all that and ramb is a really fucking good character so this specific idea was literally made for me)

First Things First, The Shadow Mantle

I'm gonna be calling the Shadow Mantle Holder just Eram despite that not being the official name for... hopefully obvious reasons

none of these really went anywhere I just tried to figure out what the Shadow Mantle is to see if I got any leads for Ramb SB and failed, I tried though

In the Undertale 6th anniversary stream, Toby called the King's cape a mantle by saying "Cool mantle, bro" which is suspicious wording so that's one of the few leads we have on what the Shadow Mantle is, I'd be stupid to try and make a Ramb boss without incorporating the Shadow Mantle into it but if it's the King's cape that just makes it MORE confusing and hard to work with besides just... Making a hypothetical design easier because you can just draw Wereramb with the King's cape

My headcanon is that Seam made the Mantle, they're familiar with the Shadow Crystals which obviously are related, and in Chapter 4 says they can make something with them (presumably the unused Pure Crystal you need for the Twisted Sword, also hear me out what if we also get a recipe that's Pure Crystal+Shadow Mantle=the also unused Sky Mantle), and was in possession of the Shadow Mantle, so if it ended up in the King's possession it coming from his court magician seems logical enough

...No idea who stole it though, the King? The Knight, who gave it to the King? Until I find a good answer on what Eram is I'm just running with the idea they're either the Knight with a controller fucking with Kris or some sort of manifestation of whatever force caused the Knight because that'd explain why they'd have the Mantle and also why the Knight would've stolen it if it gives you a fighting chance against them on their fight (But then why would they give it to Kris??? Unless they just needed to get it out of Seam's possession before he could make the Sky Mantle and by now it's already too late for that to matter or something)

I bring that up because I've seen several people say Ramb is the one who stole the Shadow Mantle and literally why the fuck would he do that, if he would be the actual SB he'd already have been given his Shadow Crystal by the Knight so they'd just give him the Mantle at the same time it's not that hard (Knight probably gave it to the King first as part of their recruiting or whatever, and it just returned to the Knight after King's defeat)

Design & Fight Ideas

Okay so obviously a Werewire, a Werewerewire even since idk why a superboss variant of the enemy wouldn't also have traits from the upgraded version, predominantly pink and yellow for reasons I shouldn't have to explain

The overalls he has on that look like a face turn into an actual face so he can talk while he's fighting you, or maybe it even becomes Eram's mouth? I think it'd be fun if a bit ridiculous if Eram was talking through Ramb and Ramb's Face Fixture somehow blinked morse code he'd communicate with saying he's sorry and didn't want this or some shit depending on the fight scenario

I've seen a couple people interpret Ramb's hair as dog or rabbit ears and while I don't know what the fuck you people are smoking it does work to contrast the long horns of regular Werewires to have a Wereramb with rounded bits on their head instead, though I'd probably go for cat ears instead due to Eram's connection to Friend

I think it'd be neat if the cone on Wereramb's face was used as like a mosquito proboscis as a response to the whole vampire/Dracula Ramb thing lol, and would also be kinda funny because we have Tenna the big nose man and then we have Wereramb who's Long Face Part is used to fucking stab at you and drain your hp or something (Something something Karma reference here)

Give him Asriel's 'unfinished final boss on his computer' rainbow wings. Made of pulsing electricity or something.

You know how Eram is a reference to Link's Awakening's Nightmares? Two of the forms the Shadow Nightmares can take in that game is Agahnim and Ganon. Ganon uses a trident, Asgore has a trident and doesn't live with the rest of the familyy anymore, Ramb's big thing is nostalgia, you get the idea. And also I think a plug designed to look like a trident would be a cool weapon.

Or it'd be funny if Wereramb was using one of those plug enemies from Queen's basement as like a ball & chain, since Link's Awakening had Chain Chomps in them it makes sense trust me

ALTERNATIVELY, since with the Dracula Ramb idea people randomly switched game is getting referenced so Ramb could reference Dracula, try this one: Eram was based on Link's Awakening Shadow Nightmares, so how about how Wereramb referencing Kirby's Adventure's Nightmare Wizard (Also just called Nightmare if you're a LOSER), a tall, caped humanoid thing with a pointy nose (though not as pointy as Spamton & Tenna's) and a dark blue cape that reflects your attacks with the Star Rod and also has stars on it's design, who was trying to spread nightmares across Dream Land. I don't think I need to explain the connection here, especially what with him having a Mantle-like cape and the whole Dark/Star element, but he even has an Orb form, just like the Knight randomly does??? And also given Nightmare Knight is like literally a Kirby song even if it was made for Cucumber Quest and is literally referenced in Deltarune super explicitly now, sorry I think Kirby would be a better pick than Castlevania (Especially with the Blue Soul since platforming)... Kirby is also one of my favorite franchises by now and I've made more Kirby posts than any other series so I may be biased

Also in Kirby Right Back At Ya Nightmare runs a fucking business and I haven't watched it yet so I don't know how the fuck that works in the plot but I find it fucking hilarious, but that'd also genuinely be a fucking connection to Spamton here

Adventure also introduced Meta Knight who's entire thing was testing Kirby, he has a bat theming going on with his wings and his cape lets him teleport, if Ramb isn't getting possessed in his fight I think it'd be fucking hilarious if you fought ARMORED RAMB where he gets his own Sword and fights you ingame

Okay, parallels to another character are a must have... But the thing is, Spamton NEO & Gerson parallel Mettaton & Undyne respectively, right? Makes sense with Reverse Undertale Theory, since Cyber World is CORE and the Santuaries are Waterfall, which makes TV World Hotland, So you'd think that Ramb would parallel Muffet, the Purple Soul even makes sense because of like the wire/string thing going on and the character who wants to give Kris freedom using a Soul Mode that restricts their movement is a fun gimmick, but... Muffet was a Kickstarter character, with no sign of her in Deltarune, so it'd be kinda weird to reference a character who no longer exists? AND ALSO HOW THE FUCK WOULD RAMB PARALLEL MUFFET? Trying to liberate people from the TV World to go off to the original areas? That doesn't feel right, and also people are said to have already done that. So, what are our other options...

I dunno how the fuck he could parallel Alphys, and the items in Hotland correspond to the Green Soul which Gerson got, so I think instead Ramb could actually parallel Sans a bit since they already have an odd amount of connections (Think about it, I'm not listing them for you or looking for a whole list to link here), and the Blue Soul also has the restricted movement thing going on and could even work since it's a platformer gimmick and we've got the video games thing going on

Alternatively it'd be funny if Ramb used the volume gimmick from the Mikes

Fight Scenario

Most of these ideas came from me thinking that we can't have a Ramb SB without Eram being tied in somehow, but it'd make no sense to have Eram appear in this scenario without having also been fought, so how do we get both? Chapter 3 Weird Route. Okay but like not like the actual weird routes just an alternate more fucked up route that isn't just the sword route, most of these ideas stemmed from that chain of thought of ramb being an alternate secreter boss

Freedom gimmick of Ramb finding out about Kris' Soul situation and wanting to find a way to free them, sacrificing his own freedom in the process in one way or another (Trying to retrieve the Mantle for them?) only for now neither of them to be free since he's being controlled by Eram now or something (Wait would Ramb being possessed by Eram count as a Friend Insi-)

Does anyone remember Technician Theory? That was a really good one, I wish the "promise of perfection" actually meant anything that's a great phrase and could even work with Ramb reminiscing on the good old days or whatever. Anyways, easy set-up here I haven't seen anyone do yet: Make Ramb the Technician. He was a stagehand alongside Mike until he saw some shit and got demoted by Tenna to his position in the Green Room. Bam. He also refuses to tell you anything about Mike lol

Plug the Sword Route controller into Board 2 after having done the first part of the Sword Route; Completely fuck shit up, kill Lanino & Elnina and/or Rouxls in-game so that they stay divorced and don't get recruited, and just boat to the Atlantis tile to progress instead (Or force Tenna to cut the board off early by breaking into the Northernlight dungeon), Ramb can tell Kris is getting tired of this shit and looking for more fun and more freedom so he fights you

Ramb switches out the MANTLE game for the fucking unfinished Asriel game on his computer, you're already using Asriel's knockoff controller (that's implied to have been meant for Spamton???) just go the whole nine yards, no fucking clue what the game'd be like though

I saw a couple hijacking-themed Chapter 3 SBs in a few takes, I think it'd be fun if Ramb intervened during the Doom Board (How come no Ramb SB themes use Doom Board's motif btw) and hijacked the game to try and get tenna to free the fun gang, freedom boss literally fighting the chapter ruler for your freedom

Omniscient third person. I don’t like it. Like I can understand that it can be a little hard to stay in one person’s perspective but, in my opinion, if you can, it shows how disciplined you are as a writer. Plus, i just get so confused when I go from A’s thoughts to suddenly what B is thinking about A. 

When writers use ‘ ‘ instead of “ “. When writers put thoughts in ‘ ‘ instead of just italicizing them. It’s small things but like they just bother me sO MUCH. most of the time i can ignore it and try to enjoy but other times i just dip. 

9. Tag 3 fic writers you think are underrated/unknown in the fandom/fanfiction community.

@espoir-et-reves !!!!! THEIR SHISAKU FICS ARE SO SO SO SO SO GOOD. And they have a warring states one going on THAT I AM SO OBSESSED WITH. 

@writer168 idk if they’re really “underrated” but THEY HAVE SUCH GREAT FICS ON AO3. Like theres an AU with sakura, kiba, and shino that i reread constantly because it just. is. so. fucking. GOOD. and they posted a new one that i’m YELLING about. 

@eggtoasties okay they only have 2 in the naruto fandom (one shisaku which is still ongoing) BUT THEIR WRITING STYLE IS SO NICE?? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I still go back and reread their shikasaku one cause UGH i can’t get enough. I love it.

17. How obsessively do you sit and stare at your fic after you’ve just posted and wait for feedback?

aha.. haha.. well. I check my email like three times an hour. its the first thing i check in the mornings too. I’m literally a whore for praise and literally eat up feedback like its going out of style. I also reread a lot of my stuff because i make so many mistakes and spelling errors, or the spacing is weird oR SOMETHING. plus, literally any and all comments make my day, i go back and reread them cause they just make me feel so tingly and warm like “wow. this person enjoyed the fic/my writing enough to tell me. thats HUGE!”

23. What’s your absolute favorite trope to write?

Angry, feral, bloodied, morally gray women. They aren’t bad guys, they’re probably the good guy, but that doesn’t mean they cant be fucking raging at the world with raw knuckles and blood on their teeth. I just love an angry woman who struggles with her emotions and just has so much inner conflict but that doesn’t take away from her character or badassery, it adds to it. 

24. What’s a trope that you’d like to never hear about as long as you live, let alone write?

The fake dating or miscommunication troupe. LIKE GUYS JUST TALK. AND TELL EACH OTHER OMFG. the entire like obliviousness of “nah they dont like me” while the They holds their hand and kisses their cheek. MOFO WHAT. it makes me so impatient and like mad HAAHHAHA. its probably because i’m a pretty confrontational person so seeing stuff like that just “cmon bro, USE YO HEAD.”

28. How do you deal with writing pressure (ie: pressure to update, negative comments, deadlines, etc)?

I have yet to receive a negative comment! Which i was really surprised about tbh. As for deadlines or pressure to update, i just kind of do whatever. I do set goals, but i set them flexible enough that hey, if i can’t do it, that’s okay. 

I have a lot of mini goals, like “i want to write this chapter and get it done this week” and then the large goal is “FINISH BY END OF MAY” so i have time. 

Actually, now that I think on it, the entire pressure to update thing is probably why i’m waiting until I have all of OL&W written to post it weekly,, cause well. I wouldn’t wanna leave you guys waiting as I tried to write and work out the next chapters and stuff, you know?

None of my experiences match up to anything I write tbh,,, probably the only thing that is me in my writing is maybe the emotional turmoil? I’m pretty emotionally and mentally mature because from a pretty young age i started forming my own opinions, started looking into the world around us and being like “dude what the fuck this is not what disney advertised”. Then i started talking (read: arguing and debating) with my dad about a lot of it. So, like emotions are kind of hard for me. Like i’m pretty good at controlling them or understanding them, but still. idk its hard to explain ig.

Like the weight of stress, the anger, the sadness. It’s kind of therapeutic to write. Cause i don’t know how to put those feelings to verbal words so writing them really helps. 

As for my readers’ image? Probably like some kind of hunched over figure typing away in the dark with a maniacal grin on their face. I honestly don’t know AHHAHAHA but it is fun to think about. I think they’d see me as someone with potential but a lot of room to grow and someone who is imperfect but in a charming way LMAOOOO

38. What does your writing process look like? How chaotic is it on a scale of 1 (very tame) to 10 (you can’t handle this kind of chaos)?

I’m gonna be real honest. Its probably like a 2. I’m a bit of a control freak so I almost always go in chronological order, my writing is pretty linear. Unless, i get bored and jump to one of my fav parts. It's pretty much i sit down, i open the doc, read over my notes and just start writing. 

It’s a little boring to explain AHAHAHA but once i get into the groove of things its really fucking great, I can like feel myself in the world, I can feel what i want the characters to, i love it. I catch myself mouthing the words as i type too, which i find hilarious.

39. What’s something about your writing that you pride yourself on?

I rather like how raw my writing is sometimes. Which might sound really vain, but i do like the way i word things or describe things. I love juxtaposition and repetition, or making a good ole circle back to some minute detail that wouldn’t stand out until i repeat it at the end and you’re like “omg” AHAHAHAHA.

Like those little poetic snippets or certain wording i just sit back and go “damn thats kinda good nadia! go you!’ HAHAHA  

40. How did you come up with the idea for The Intimacy Of Being Understood?

AAAAA this fic is like my first child, my pride and joy LMAO

so the idea initially came when i was reading some fic, idk if it was even naruto, but i was like “i don't like this, but i do like the rain symbolism.” And I knew i wanted to write something kind of slow paced, something a little sad and angsty, but would show KakaSaku slowly but surely falling in love.

Idk if you’ve noticed but a lot of my fics, the pairings don’t change each other dramatically. They accept each other as they are and then they grow with together. Like that acceptance is something i just love writing, its so subtle, it isn’t something you declare. Its simply “I am going to love you. I am going to love you despite your flaws and faults. I am going to love you unconditionally because I know you, I understand you, and there is nothing you could do to drive me away.” 

The fic kind of wrote itself after that first scene. I kept going back to the rain, go being ghosts, and resurrection, and the small epiphanies one gets. I wanted to focus on each character’s growth with each other. They didn’t find light in life because of each other, but with each other. And i think that’s my favorite thing about that fic. 

I wanted something raw and real and just something beautiful. I’m actually really proud of it tbh. Would i go back and rewrite/edit it? Oh of course! I’d do that with every single one of my fics, but i’m not gonna cause i think its in its rawest form right now. :))))

one personality trait they’re proud of having:  kitae doesn’t feel pride in anything. what’s there to be proud of? you exist, is that not enough? anyway, minsu was proud that he’s caring enough to sacrifice his own happiness and health for his family. never said it was a good thing. defining gestures:  varies between who he was and who he is, but some things have stayed the same. he still runs his tongue over his lips when he’s deep in thought, fiddles with his earrings (or earlobes if he doesn’t have any in), clicks pens, and crosses one leg over the other when he sits. also, xe always seems to be  looking far away, like he’s not quite there.  speaking style:  soft voice, stern words. sentences sound like questions and questions sound like sentences. his speech is well paced, not too fast and not too slow. minsu was able to adjust his vocabulary usage depending on who he’s speaking to, but kitae doesn’t show that same capability and speaks like he’s fifteen years older than he is sometimes. insecurities:  kitae doesn’t feel insecure about anything at all. he believes he’s perfectly average in most things. minsu was a bit insecure about how well he was providing for his family. there were some underlying insecurities about his physical appearance but they were never weighing too heavy on his mind since he couldn’t waste time and be selfish like that. positive traits:  kitae is pragmatic, honest, selfless, and trustworthy (if we ignore the fucking chip in his brain) negative traits:  blunt, unemotional, apathetic, and ocassionally gullible. other people’s opinions of them:  minsu was often overlooked, no one really seemed to care for him and he didn’t work hard to stand out either. he was never seeking attention so it was fine. adults in positions of power (teachers, professors, doctors, higher ups on the ems squad, managers, etc) often described him as a quiet hard working kid that sometimes stuck his nose where it didn’t belong but he looked after everyone else no matter if he knew them or not so overall people had a positive opinion of him. as for kitae....well, his squad members think he’s strange and for good reason. they think of him as a damn good paramedic and not much else. if they ever talk about him otherwise, it’s because they think he said something weird and yeah they laugh at him that’s just how the world works. three words to describe them:  silly little android.

one major turning point in their life:  when his mom got injured and sick, that’s basically what turned everything on its head for him. minsu couldn’t really be a kid anymore. in the matter of a day he was carrying out duties no teenager should have to. it’s also what lead him to pursue ems instead of being a doctor like he wanted to. if they could time travel, when would they go?:  minsu would want to go back to the morning of his accident. not even to save himself, but to tell his sisters a few things beforehand, maybe pack some lunch, tell a neighbor to take care of the plants for a few days, transfer what little savings he had to his sisters. just little things like that. favorite way to waste time:  kitae people watches and minsu hates wasting time they’d rather be dead than have free time. given a blank piece of paper, a pencil, and nothing to do, what would happen?:  write. even as kitae, he’d write. i don’t think journaling ever left xem even as kitae. it’s an outlet for him whether he likes it or not. view on home and family?: minsu always valued family over himself. if his family isn’t fine then what’s the point? and home was wherever his family was, but he did place a lot of value in the house he was raised in, which is why he never moved out. if you ask this to kitae, he blanks. he doesn’t understand. he lives alone in a disturbingly clean, almost empty apartment. that’s home. home is a place to sleep and shower and eat. what’s family? he was asked about his family once and he just stared. he wasn’t given memories about that. he doesn’t know. it’s a foreign concept. any secret stashes?:  he absolutely fucking hates that he ever does it, but minsu did have a pack of smokes that he hid from his sisters because he’d lose his shit if he found out they were smoking. he didn’t do it often at all, just after a particularly rough day (which, like, almost every other day was rough but it had to be very bad) he’d sneak out to have one or two at 3am when everyone was asleep. his mom saw him sneak out a few times though, but she never brought it up. kitae doesn’t have shit.

how do they express themselves?:  minsu expressed himself through his journals. he had... so so many. kitae doesn’t do shit though.  what did they want to be when they grew up?:  minsu wanted to be a surgeon! he wasn’t sure of what kind, but something about trauma surgery seemed particularly thrilling to him. before his interest in medicine, he really wanted to become a marine biologist lol what do you like most about them?:  TT____TT i just think he’s very neat and despite the fact that kitae can be really difficult to write interactions with sometimes, its so fucking fun because there’s something always a Little Bit Off about them its kinda eerie hehe also i think he has great potential for development if i ever fucking write him

someone who knew him as minsu :p maybe an ex (or someone that was almost something to him? idek if he ever had a relationship lol) that finds him as kitae and is like wtf.....
