Bro I finally looked at the art book heights for LoR characters and bro... I thought yesod was like 5'7 and everyone was exaggerating how short he is but no he's 5'5 he IS that short💀

I've been thinking of my favorite fairy tale which is Godfather Death. It's about a child that was taken in by Death after his father gave him up bc he had 12 other kids and couldn't afford to take care of 13. The father is visited by god who offers to watch him but is rejected and then by the devil who is also rejected. He agrees to Death being the Godfather bc Death is equal and fair over all no matter their status. Death takes in the child when he's old enough and makes him a physician. He shows the child a plant that grows in the forest that can cure any aliment. He tells the child he will go to patients and Death will be there when he does. If Death is standing at the head of the bed, the child may give the the plant and the person will recover. However, if Death is standing at the foot of the bed, the child is to do nothing as that person is to be taken by Death.

The physician agrees and it isn't long before the townspeople are calling him a prodigy, saying he's able to tell with just a glance if the person will make it or not (I'm assuming only the physician can see Death when he's standing over the patient) One day, the King gets sick and the physician is called to see if he can do anything. However, when he gets there, Death is standing at the foot of the bed which means he has to die. The physician however thinks if he can cure the King then he'll be able to get riches beyond his wildest dreams and surely Death will forgive him since he IS his godchild after all. So the physician takes the King and turns him around so Death is at the head instead of the foot and then gives the King the plant. Death is rightfully pissed and tells the physician that he'll let it go this one time but if he does it again he will have to pay the consequences. Then the princess gets sick and the king declares anyone that can save her shall marry her and inherit the crown. The physician is called again to see if she can be cured. Death is standing at the foot of the bed. The physician however caught up in her beauty forgets Death's warning and does what he did to the King to her, saving her.

Death having been betrayed twice, has had it. He takes the physician to an underground cavern filled with candles of different heights. When the physician asks what these candles are, Death explains they are lifespans. The longer the candle the more time they have to live. The shorter the candle, the less time they have. The physician asks to see his candle thinking it'll be big. Death instead points to the smallest candle in the room. The physician, realizing what's about to happen, begs for mercy. Death said he can't just replace a candle as one has to go out before another can be lit. The physician suggests using the flame from the old candle to light a new one just as it's about to go out so he can keep living. Death pretends to agrees but just as he's about to do it, he "makes a mistake" lighting it and the flame goes out, ending the physician's life.

I wrote that whole summary bc I've been thinking of nothing but Rui as the physician and Kaito as Death. Mainly the candle scene because I really like that scene. If i changed a few things like if it took place in present day and instead of a king and princess, the person that seals Rui's fate is he saves the one he loves. Like he meets the love interest while working and they hit it off but then they get sick and he sees if he can do anything about it but Death is standing at the foot of the bed (tho i guess if its present day, it can be like a doctor's office and Death stands at the head or foot of the patient bed?) Idk i wanna write it or draw something for it but sjsjdkdkd i dont know if I'll have the time... maybe one day ill sketch somthing but if i do itll definitely be the candle scene!!
