imma go universe by universe for specifically sonadow kiss/love language headcanons because some of my old hcs are outdated as shit

In the movie universe, sonadow wouldn’t enjoy kissing, at least on the lips. They would sometimes, on the forehead mostly, but “actual” kisses are saved for special times. Instead, their main love language is physical touch, mostly Sonic though. The two would adore cuddles and probably be super super touchy, and by that I mean Sonic would like the act of touching shadow, and shadow would like the act of protecting Sonic, finding comfort in him being there.

They would definitely do the thing every Ao3 author has them do where they comb through the others quills tho.

In the main game universe, they would both like kissing and do it probably semi often, but never in front of people. They don’t super show affection other than playful banter around others, and sometimes physical touch of their arms. Sonic and shadow both share acts of service as their main love language def, and idk if rivalry is a love language but like that’s their other one lol. Touch is kinda a touchy (ha) subject between the two of them, so they came up with system: (preferably verbal) agreement between both parties before a touch, do not press if the other says no.

Shadow would despise holding hands tho

In Sonic and the black knight (lansoni), kissing would be their main way of expressing affection. Not on the mouth too much, but small kisses on the cheek, hand, and top of their head. It’s their love language mostly, or it’s Sonic’s. Lance is uncomfortable with most types of physical touch, for a multitude of reasons, and so Sonic will just give him delicate kisses as greetings, goodbyes, or a soft message of “ily”. Lances would still be acts of service lmao

In prime, all types of affection are on the table. Probably mostly small kisses and acts of service, with physical touch being less (based on in show evidence). They would be more chill, probably actually kissing in front of people at least twice.

sorry for dipping randomly, my dad passed away at the beginning of the month so weve been in a whirlwind of mourning and funeral planning and everything in between

on top of that, my redacted audio special interest has burnt out like crazy (i still like it but i havent rlly been jiving with the content being released lately, and most of my interest has just been making ocs tbh)

writing a felix and turbo centric fic and while trying to get inspiration i just keep thinking about how boring their ship name is like ... '80s boyfriends' dude that could refer to like any ship between boyfriends from the 80s ... like yeah it's a serviceable name but like it feels so unspecial ... glad it has the alternative 'hammertastic' tho i like that one a lot better it's more creative

while i'm at it i really like the ship name 'heroes cuties' LIKE ??? love that it's so perfect ... it also kinda works in a double way bc like not only does it rhyme with 'duty' they are also both heroes and they are cute together <3 also while 'sour candy' is kinda plain in contrast to other names since it incorporates the characters' names i mean like yeah it makes perfect sense idk what else you'd call it ... i don't really like either these ships but the names 'sledgehammer' and 'demolition derby' are also very good ...
