aoapaoughhhg.... im thinkin abt nanksby instead of sleeping (i have a hadache... and a birthday tomorrow....)

theres just smth abt like. monogamy is So inportant to gatsby like,, he could Not comprehend that daisy could love him And tom at any point in time. and now hes dating nick and everythign is perfect and hes So happy but also. frank.

he likes frank a Lot and it confuses the hell out of him. frank by himself is confusing to gatsby cuz like,, gatsby loves ppl that are even remotely nice to him once and heres this dude who isnt Mean but hell tease him and poke fun at him. and then turn around and make him lunch just because he thought he looked sad. gatsby cant figureh im out at all

so needless to say hes a little bit horrified when he starts to think hes falling in love with frank. hes already in love with nick, how could he do this to him? the last thing he wants is to wind up being another tom, how could he ever fall in love with another man?

so naturally the way i fix this is by having him sleep with frank skfjsj

ok so like,, they dont Properly sleep w each other its like. making out + over the clothes teenager shit udk man... i dont have too much if this fleshed out cuz gatsby doesnt drink (i dont think sober gatsby would ever lol) but ive been toying w the idea that maybe hes starting to feel comfortable w himself + around nick and drank so he indulges a little,, maybe its a holiday or smth

anyway . so gatsby feels like the fuckin scum of the earth . he didnt Mean to it just,, happened. he rlly likes frank and hes p sure frank likes him too (frank flirts w everyone but spoiler alert hes notimmune to the gatsby charm) so now hes avoiding nick cuz hes afraid hell find out and its only making things worse

eventually nick confronts him and gatsbys like "oh god im the wors lt person on earth im no better than tom you might as well shoot me again nick im no good" meanwhile nick. who is polyam and autistic. is just like "oh. yeah i figured. its fine. do you wanna date frank too" and its such a nithing problem to him sjfjsj

(nick Does have more complicated feelings abt it btw but hes not gonna tell gatsby that why would he. at the end if the day he also wants to kiss frank again so like,, seize the moment babyyy)

uh and then they have to try and wrangle frank into a polycule without having the words or experience sjfnsn its silly they have Issues but its fineee theyre totally well adjusted adults w nothingn wrong w them ever
