With the reveal that MePhone made the contestants, I've been seeing people bring up Bot again. Mainly discussing about how they're his favorite supposedly because they were the only contestant he didn't create, and while that may be true on some level I just don't see it.

Rather, why I think he connects with Bot so much is because he sees himself in them. Think about it: two machines built with an initial purpose that they don't agree with, go out and make an identity for themselves outside of what their creators intended.

For Bot it's literally remaking an identity. Changing their name, voice, pronouns, and appearance to suit their true self better. Meanwhile MePhone creates the entire show and becomes a host against Cob's insistence.

They both share similar arcs of making/finding their identity!

Does Mephone put the cereal first or the milk in the bowl?

Well you see, he would be provided his favorite cereal but then he'd generate the bowl and milk, himself. But it's kinda easier to generate the bowl with the milk already in it than it would be to make pouring it an extra step of the process.

He's not proud of it, but milk-first.
