Even when you're struggling and think you're beyond help? How do you suppose people who want to help you, who want you to be alright, would know you're struggling when you do everything in your power to hide it and aggressively push them away when you feel like they suggest you need help with something or even better, lend a helping hand themselves? Why do you take offense the second someone offers help?

Sounds like you hate asking for things, you hate being open about stuff you struggle with, you hate being vulnerable. You hate to admit that you're not the indestructible fortress you've made yourself out to be all these years. You hate to admit you're not perfect; you hate that you're human and as human, that you're imperfect. You need love, attention, you need time for yourself, you need money to survive. But you refuse to let anyone know because you think it degrades you, it tarnishes the perfect image you've built for yourself.

for your consideration, a chaeya Kpop Demon Hunters au (i know the movie just came out but it’s SO GOOD you gotta believe me)

Kaeya as Rumi, Crepus as Celine, either Thoma or Jean as Zoey, and Diluc as Mira, the fatui harbingers as the SAJA Boys, abyss monsters as the demons, Childe as Jinu (obviously) and the Tsarista as Gwi-ma.

Kaeya being half khaenri’ahn/abyssal and half sumeran, always having to hide his khaenri’ahn (his eyepatch) side.

(let’s say for reference all the fatui have a connection to the abyss in some way which is why they are taking the role of demons)

Diluc being DESTROYED that the person who was raised as his brother and he fought side by side with was lying to him his whole life, and jean (or thoma) getting caught in the middle

kaeya freaking out when his secret gets revealed in a violent and vulnerable way, being faced with rejection from the people who mean the most to him, and having his secret REVEALED by someone he had fallen in love with

childe having a minor crisis when he realizes the hunter he was fighting was half khaenri’ahn

kaeya with cool abyssal corruption lines across his face & body along with an orange eye, and a blue eye.

crepus lowkey falling into the morally grey, “love my child unconditionally but they need to hide this side to them because i think it will hurt them and i can’t fully accept this side”

i feel like Rumi and Kaeya have so many similarities with their identity crisis’s and conflicting views on their enemies (the sympathy Rumin starts showing to demons in the second half of the movie feels very reminiscent of how i feel kaeya would interact with hilichurls/creatures of the abyss)

i also feel like Jinu and Childe have so many similarities with how they don’t fully want to be where they are, but aren’t going to be leaving anytime soon either. and their character and motivations being central to their family (and the surrounding tragedy of their family)

IT JUST FITS SO WELL (and the songs are so good)

First off, this is a spoiler for kpop demon hunters, so I'm just gonna add a cute spoiler tag for that movie

anon omg u r so right about Kaeya being the perfect person to be Rumi 😳 especially if Celine-Crepus did put into his head that he has to conceal dont feel dont let them know ( ah yes, the trio of conceal dont feel- Elsa, Kaeya, and Rumi)

I see the vision with this consideration. Dare I say, if hoyo pulls off something similar to that public exposing scene in the middle of Mond for Kaeya, I'd be swiping my credit card (which i haven't done this entire game btw lmao)

and Childe as Jinu!! CHAEYA!! the one ship where we have kept on saying that they'd just get each other!! but... we're changing the plot a bit 😈

I say we actually add dispatch to this AU and cause a bigger temporary rift to hutrix by having Kaeya and Childe get caught instead of Kaeya slipping up

Then I like the idea of having some harbringers be left on earth than the Gwu-mi-Tsaritsa realm, and like Rumi implied, it would revert them to humanity (at least that was how i understood it)

we're giving Chaeya a shot here folks

and btw... in canon talk... the odds are extremely low, but could you imagine the drama if it turned out Crepus did tell Kaeya to keep his heritage a secret from Diluc and the others his age? Coz I can't fathom a world where Crepus doesn't know of Kaeya's heritage at all, especially because he was looking for Kaeya's father in the first place (and if he really didn't know, then lmao I'll just say this would make hoyo's life easier), and yet Diluc wasn't informed early on? Young Diluc, who would have had the emotional capability to absorb that information?

I guess Crepus could have been waiting on Kaeya to confess, but that's a bit crazy to think about when it must have clearly been affecting Kaeya negatively in the early years (then again, some parents do wait for their kids to come out of the closet irl LMAO)
