trying to come up with a comprehensive hc for how cycles work
#spire rambles#rain world#alternate timelines seem like the most logical concept but i arbitrarily hate working with them#but i don't. like the whole 'they just respawn' thing either#leaning towards proper reincarnation?#or alternate timelines but as ive mentioned writing those leaves a bad taste in my mouth for no real reason#im thinking. proper reincarnation except in the case of the Cyclebound (arti) and maybe like one or two other cases#or alternatively respawn unless the death is particularly gruesome/the body cant be recovered#(or it has narrative significance but SHHH)#so there's still risk it's just that 'fatal' wounds are less. fatal#I DUNNO MAN.
