Woke up early this morning to venture to Concord for Static Monsters, my last comp of the year. There are usually two lifts, log clean and press and axel deadlift, but I opted to skip the log out of respect for my shitty back. After Thursday's session, I decided to start conservative with 280lbs (third video), which went up insanely easy. I moved up to 310lbs for my second lift (second video), which was also quite effortless. I went ahead and jumped up to 340lbs (25lbs more than I struggled with thurs) for my third lift, and there was clearly still plenty of the tank. Unfortunately, you're only allowed three attempts, so although I'm happy with a pr on this particular implement, I'm bummed I didn't try for a higher weight. I took third in my group, which I guess means there was only three of us in said group, as well as first in the grip strength event in which I was the only lady to sign up. Migs decided to sign up for the Mas event as well, and took first, beating all three of his opponents.
