some of my kin liken humans to beasts to illustrate their ruthless ambition.

i do not.

the wolf hungers, and hunts to sate that hunger.

the bear must rest, and hunts to sleep once winter comes.

the human does not merely 'hunt'.

they torch forests and poison rivers. they build giant constructions which spew gas as black as night into the very air we breathe. they hunt and hunt and hunt until nothing is left.

describing them as anything other than 'human', is to undersell the reality of their callous disregard for any semblence of mercy.

What are your favourite CRK characters?

Ignoring the Pure Vanilla and Shadow Milk shaped elephant in the room (because I talk about them too much and the other characters deserve some spotlight). How about I go through each rarity and list my favorite I think that could be fun.

Common: STRAWBERRY COOKIE MY BELOVED <3 definitely up there as my favorite after PV and SM. I LOVE HERRR!

Rare: I really like Clover and Custard. Custard gets on my nerves a little bit but he is a small child. I think there's a lot of fun stuff you can do with him, the pressure he feels to live up to the expectations that he puts on himself. The fact that he will likely always feel like he's in Pure Vanilla's shadow. I think he's neat.

Epic: 1000% Black Sapphire. He's the whole reason I'm hyperfixated on this stupid game lol. Love him soooo much once I figure out how to draw him I will be unstoppable. Honorable mentions to: Pavlova, the entirety of the golden cheese Kingdom, Choco Wearhound Brute, Black Raisin, Dark Choco and I am honor bound as an anthropologist to say I like Olive Cookie. I will not stand for Olive Cookie slander. There's definitely some I'm missing but whatever.

Super epic: Elder Faeriy I think he's neat. I've been having so much fun fucking with him in my AU :))))) honorable mention to Capsaicin Cookie. I got him in like my first ever 10 pull and I immediately was like oh yeah I fucking love this guy.

Dragon: obviously only Pitaya is in crk currently but I do genuinely love them so much. I've been meaning to sit down and draw them for a while now.

Legendary: love Fire Spirit and Wind Archer ofc but story wise Black Pearl is soooo interesting to me.

Ancients: Golden Cheese!!!!!!! The second I figure out how to translate her hair into my art style it's over for you. Also such a big fan of White Lilly I need to draw White Lilly and Pure Vanilla interactions they're fun.

Beasts: Eternal Sugar! I need to study her under a microscope. She's wonderful. I'm also super excited for Silent Salt I like their design a lot.

NPC: CATNIP COOKIE CATNIP COOKIE THE LOVE OF MY LIFEEEEEE!!!!!!! I love Catnip Cookie.

a little while ago (mightve actually been a year now. wow) my mom bought these little 3d printed crystal-like dragons for me and my sister. there was a rainbow-ish one and a blue-purple-magenta one that she let us both choose from. i immediately had my eyes on the darker, purple one, so i took that one and my sister took the other one. we liked them immediately, (they are very cute- and movable! theyre like little fidget toys) i named mine Brutus.

heres where the reason im writing this is: this crystal dragon Is My Daughter. i dont know what happened. i just. thats My Girl!!!!! i love her so much shes my precious little thing.

anyways usually Brutus sits on my desk or shelf while i admittedly kinda forget about her, (i love all my toys but Phone Is Distracting,) but recently ive been messing around with my craft stuff more, and ended up making her some silly golden bracelets? cuffs? for her little arms <33333 she looks so good with them!!!! also gave her a little necklace with a key charm, its silver tho and idk if the clashing metals look very good... but im letting her keep it for now :]

her new perch is on top of some of my books next to where i have some sticky notes with random drawings- she guards them!! shes a great guard dragon :] i also put some cotton paper from one of my sketchbooks for her to lay on and a sticky note reserving the spot just for her! love herrr my daughterrr

also i am A Hoarder but ive been thinking about lending her some of my little trinkets for her own little hoard! itd be so so cutee i can tell she wants some decorations for her new spot....

(clarification: yes the dragons name is Brutus. yes its typically a boy name. Brutus is a girl. she/they/it pronouns)

I think now that it’s October 1st I’m finally getting into “spooky season mode” lol so I’m like planning out what I’m gonna do for Halloween and stuff, so I haven’t thought of a ton of halloween/spooky ideas yet (I will say I was thinking about those House of Mouse Halloween episodes where Hades wears that dumb Mickey fit and the other one where they show his blooper reel of failed auditions today while I was working ���).

I can sooo see Persephone treating Hades like a spoiled puppy from time to time lmao and Hades just loves to watch Persephone do magic and make potions and stuff 🥰

I have had a few ideas though for some different versions of Persephone like a mermaid Persephone or a fairy Persephone. Though, those aren’t necessarily spooky lol, but I guess you could turn it into like a siren Persephone or dark fairy Persephone (I know how ironic that sounds with Maleficent being a dark fairy 😂).

I can also see Hades being a vampire too (godpire? Lmao idk. Maybe it’s the sharp teeth and goth aesthetic I get from him that makes me think that lmao)! Like, I can totally imagine him in his throne with a glass of blood lmao (or I guess he’d prefer ichor? Idk lol)!

💞 It’s Valentine’s Day! 💞

The lovely @joyfulsongbird & @songbirds-poet arranged an adorable little Valentine’s Day for the Hadestown fandom & I’m such a fan

Okay so the theme of my post is Hadestown AUs because you probably know by now that I love them, these writers deserve so much recognition, & some of them are run by multiple people so I can appreciate more people despite not having the time to draw lmao. I wasn’t able to make as many Valentine’s things as I would have liked to & they are a bit rushed, but I’m happy I was able to do these ones!

Also I tried to make the drawings look like little stamps because it reminded me of the cute Valentines you give out in like grade school & I don’t know, humor me an pretend it’s clever because I just thought it would be cute.

First up, as many of you could have predicted, is @ourladyoftheundcrground w/ really all of her AUs. I wanted to make you two, one for rockstar AU as well, but I ran out of time

But omg!! You already know I love you!!! & I draw you art all the time!! But excuse me for taking any opportunity to gush about your writing.

I am so glad that I found the first 1920s AU fic because you are my main source of the sweet sweet Hades/Persephone content I need to survive. Also! You were the first fanfic writer I ever made art for! I’ve always thought about doing it but the combination of my favorite pairing & 1920s fashion was enough to make me cave. Every chapter of all of your AUs is either so soft or fucking obliterates my entire heart?? Which I appreciate but like?? What the fuck?? & you are the sweetest person but some of the stuff you come up with is so cursed. Like let’s never speak of blue haired punk Hades ever again. It’s also important to mention again that you are amazing.

& stellar writing. I will literally never stop recommending it.

Second! I fell in love with your character additions when I first found your AU. I immediately wanted to draw both of them (& did draw one!). I wanted to make sure I drew Athena for you guys eventually & this was my chance!! One thing I think is great (& super useful) about Hadestown is that its roots in mythology give a really cool way to add characters who don’t feel out of place. Everyone gets to make these super cool adaptations of these gods/goddesses & you guys did amazing, I love herrr.

I am IN LOVE with your guys’ adaptations of both the muses and the characters in the Elysian ballet company. There are so many characters I have no clue how you keep track of them but I love every single one. I would not be opposed to you guys at some point talking about how you created all of them because holy fuck, the muses specifically are so unique but have the sweetest relationships & fit so well! This is another great example of a modern AU. The muses are my favorite part so I couldn’t help drawing Erato for this stamp 💞

& I have those glasses in purple so really, she’s coming for my look.

My final one is for @eliza-i-wish not as part of my AU theme but just because she deserves all the love.

The fact that flower crown Hades is what you decided on further solidifies my theory that we are the same person aksnksmdmdm. & you are the most adorable person ever omggggg. These are a little messy but I’m glad this gave me little things to work on when I didn’t have enough free time to do anything super big. This also marks the time where I think I’ll be able to start posting art more regularly again? I hope at least!
