I have a new idea for Kenneth Dryll. Basically, there a few number of people that have these so called "Evil Magic", with Rades Spirito being one of them, as thankfully, they have been drastically reduced once Julius became the Wizard King, however before he became one, Kenneth was hated by almost everyone and became almost untrustworthy because of his Sharpshoot Magic, making him unable to trust anyone.

Though, one day for Kenneth, while he was walking down a beach, he met a weird man with yellow hair and teal coloured robe that ran towards him as he heard about rumours of a man with Sharpshoot Magic, as he wanted to help him out due to his interest in the magic as Kenneth listened and agreed to Julius that he will help him, and 20 years later, he is still at his becking call.

i have a concept for regurein reverse au where regulus is a royal knight (thriving; the type of knight from whom julius neded to protect subaru by beating shit out of him; (rightly) considered a class traitor by felt and humiliated by her mercilessly daily) and reinhard is a witch cultist (utterly miserable; ran away from his home and responsibility and family and mixed up with a wrong crowd; mostly just stands there menacingly; lye correctly identifies him as a boiling pan with a lid welded to it and wants to see what happens). it would be really funny To Me and also would involve 1) julius and felix coping and seething 2) reinhard exuding absolutely rancid toxic positivity vibes completely by accident (he is sirius favourite because of it) and 3) heartbreaking: the worst knight of lugunica is simping for the most dangerous man in the witch cult

"...rest...sounds--- wonderful, I-zzy..." Julius didn't want the two to have to do this- any of it- but he was so grateful they'd come to save him. A selfish thing to have gratitude over, truly. Making them both experience something no child should ever have to. He was using Izzy to try to keep himself just standing, let alone the awkward shuffle-hobble he'd managed to adopt. So much of him was missing- so many upgrades that he'd need to get replaced.

But of course, SWORD wouldn't let their golden goose get away so easily. Soldiers swarmed the halls leading to Julius' cell. He had nearly taken a step back- trying to help Izzy move with him, put her just a little behind himself. It wasn't like he'd be able to do anything- he had none of his technology. None of his tricks. These men had taken everything he could have used, down to the caramel bar he always had on-hand.

He couldn't help but agree on that scream- though Julius couldn't quite get around to voicing it. No, what he was instead met with was a wave of--- nearly pins and needles, a tingling that ran across his whole body, as if every nerve had momentarily fallen asleep. He'd just be grateful he'd not fallen, outright. The doctor could worry about that ability- about the electricity that danced and arced, about the convulsing men- later.

As much as he did want to help, he wasn't about to let himself become little more than a torture victim, again.

"...thank y-ou..." Worry about that explosion later. Worry about everything later, as sirens went quiet and the hall they were all in went dark. He'd rely on the kids--- it was all he could do. Awkwardly stumbling around the downed soldiers, hearing panicked screams far off--- how much of the facility had gone down from that burst of power? Julius wasn't about to try to stick around to find out- no, he was just running, as much as his broken body would allow.

Running until the three came upon a hole in the wall that led to the outside- nearly wanting to sob. Fresh air--- he thought he'd never smell it again. And Tire,...fixed up, not perfectly but it was enough to drive, hearing a few warbling beeps from the Egg Pods--- his lip wobbled even as he was led into the truck, just about collapsing the moment he crossed the threshold.

"---Tire,..." The door closed behind the three, the engine rumbling to life. Julius could have fainted dead away from relief, then and there--- but he couldn't let his kids worry, not that much. Though he truly just wanted to close his eye and pass out--- there was still work to be done,... "...I'm afraid...I'll be needing some repairs, children,..."

If only he had more power. If Roman was stronger, he would have loved to fulfill his father’s wish of leveling this facility to the ground and burned them until there was nothing but ash. Just as he would have loved to do with the GUN who had been behind his and his sister’s creation. People like that needed to pay for the pain they caused.

“‘S okay now papa. You’re safe and we’re gonna getcha outta here. Then we’re gonna go home and ya can rest.” That was a promise the youngest hybrid could give. As the shackles gave way, she positioned herself under his weakened side to keep him upright. The alarms hurt her ears and she folded them as best she could while still trying to hear what was going on around them.

Those thundering footsteps made her body tremble, tears still flowing freely down her cheeks.

Why did these men want to hurt them so much? Why couldn’t they be left alone? They were happy and didn’t bother anyone… She just couldn’t understand it.

But where Izzy struggled, Roman knew. Being older allowed him the privilege of seeing some of the horrors. And it only further infuriated him to see these men all clambering to stop them as they had made it into the hallway and towards their exit.

“Leave us ALONE!” The boy’s scream echoed behind the explosion of build up energy. It rippled like a shockwave, shorting the lights, the machines, everything around them was completely short circuited by Roman’s enraged power. Even the men aiming down their sights stood no chance against the force that knocked them onto their backs and pushed them away.

Yet Izzy felt nothing but a strange tingle to her fur. Indigo quills rustled and glowed for only a moment before returning to normal. “Roman!”

His attention moved to them. With the energy expunged, it was safe for him to move to Julius’ other side and offer himself.

“We gotcha dad.” Now they could get out of there and back to Tire.

Julius being available in Chapter 12 changes a lot of course but I feel like Ludger would rely a little bit more on Julius being there with him. I can see the final decision when Ludger hesitates to kill Victor resulting in Julius killing Victor instead, for example.

But mostly I want Julius to be there for the sheer drama of Victor alluding to Claudia.
