We tend to think of the past

2024 is here

we've come around that corner

Feelin like a fish outta water

Should God gift us with more time

If we are aloud to live

What is the message

You wish to spread loud and clear

To what shall we

raise our glasses and cheer

My message is I shall not live in fear

I shall cherish each day

Shedding only happy tears

Should they fall at all

2023 saw many of my tears

Lost a brother to his inner fears

Actions we can never take back

We look for answers we may never find

Such things tend to haunt the mind

Yah it feels so unkind

They say wounds heal with time

But I only find that true sometimes

Other times wounds

remain open & painful

There is little relief or reprieve

We simply wish to become forgetful

But let me not ramble too far off track

Mainly here this season of the year

to give thanks

Thanks for all the gifts life brings in fact

Thanks for the many blessings

That come across our paths

God is great for all he does believe that

Tis the season to give back

To be thankful for the things you have

Not to focus on the things you lack

Even when life is on the attack

And we gotta stay mentally strapped

To handle this world so wacked

It can make you feel trapped

Back against the wall in fact

But we get through it

Breathe in ..breathe out..relax

I put it in GODS hands

Toss the coin up see where it lands

Heads or Tails

It never fails

I give him the wheel

Especially when we're riding off the rails

No one can handle the pressure

Like HE can

I remain amazed

accepting the pains & pleasures

As I grip the wheel with both hands

Life is a gift even with all its demands

We must appreciate it all that we can

For we are only here in life

for a short span

So give it all you got

While your fate is still in your hands

I can rest in the fact that God is in control.

Which means I can face things that are out of my control and not act out of control. #inhishands

Why worry about tomorrow when we know for certain that God is in control of our lives. #dontworry

How am I suppose to tell my kids we have to leave our home? The person I depended on left, now I have to uproot my kids and find somewhere to go cause I can’t afford rent. I’m at such a loss right now. And of course it has to be right before Christmas so now that’s also ruined. Keep my little family in your thoughts and prayers.
