Inline Skating - Behind the Scenes

A colored sketch just for fun.

(This is a follow-up on that one.)

The idea was sketched out by the time I drew the original Inline Skates pic, but took my time finishing it. I wanted to draw the whole main crew for once. Composing several people and a background is so hard, I absolutely need to practice that 😅

its so fun when u get the things u want, no, NEED for ur nonhumanity like cat ears to fulfill the phantom limb gap that's been aching in ur scalp for so long, a pair of cool wings to finally feel a glimpse of the REAL you. With me its skating, because speeding up at a car or standing at strong gushes of wind you get to feel all the breeze rush past ur skin like ur flying, every time i see skaters of any kind just cruise around and feel the winds i imagine myself skating because i seriously think it feels like ur flying the skies above, skating at such unreal speeds while feeling the breeze flow thru u is so close yet so far to actually flying, like you could just lift off and soar above the atmosphere while u see yourself watching your wings expand and catch the air with ease. i think about that a lot, which is why i've been wanting rollerblades for the longest not just for quick and easy transportation balancing a nice exercise, i want them to really FEEL like my kintypes, like the real me soaring thru the skies with ease

Favorite part of hands of time is when Cole freaks about about a slug being on his shoulder. I‘ve had a phobia of slugs since forever and no amount of therapy has been able to chase it out of me. Headcanoning cole as a fellow slugophobe.

#ninjago #ninjago cole #yapping #there was the slug race in motm as well like #it‘s just like me cause I also have more strange encounters with slugs than the average person #two slugs on my inline skates and one was under the #Velcro so I tore it‘s skin off and was screaming crying bcs I had the inline skates tightened on my foot #last summer I was on my bike my heart racing from trying not to squash my nemisis under my wheels #and I must have been rlly fast bcs one got caught on the wheel and flew up into the air and onto my skirt #I also bought a fern once and was holding that fern in the car on the drive home and I kinda felt smth weird with my hand #and it was just a Gigant fucking slug that had crawled out of the pot #we were on the motorway so I was just screaming holding the pot while my mom tried to get off and stop

Bought myself a pair of skates, stex revival debut here i come‼️ But uhh first can anyone help by giving me a few tips, i got a bunch of questions… (see below lol)

-Why is quad skating so much harder than rollerblading / inlines??? I did rollerblading loads when i was younger and had no trouble with that :/

-How are you supposed to turn?!? I can go in straight line perfectly fine. I’ve read you’re supposed to lean all your body weight one way but it isn’t really working out..

-Is it normal to trip over the toestop loads? Like when i try to skate it just gets in the way (it is removable but i want to keep it on for now)

-It’s quite gravelly where i’m skating the most (not unmanageable) but the wheels i have currently are 85a, is it worth investing in 78a (or softer wheels generally)?

-What is this whole bearings system and will any kind of bearings instantly fit with my skates (abec 3)?

I know they supposedly aren’t a good brand (oxelo) but i am working with what i got :p
