Did a couple more Inscryption runs today, working on getting 100% achievements. Spoilers under the cut.
Accidentally started my first run in act 1. Knowing all the secrets made that go much faster. I got the film canister before the slime jar, so it was very funny how it had to do all of its exposition at once.
The first time I played act 2, I had chosen the P03 route. Today I tried both the Grimora and Leshy routes, and didn’t realize that P03 intercepts the final boss fight every time. I expected each Scrybe to have their own secret plan to take over the game (and the Leshy route would simply start the game over in act 1).
I started looking at hints in this run, so I was able to get to the Bone Lord. I couldn’t figure out how to collect the items it gave me though, so simply left them behind in my first run. Oops.
I ended the Grimora run three cards short of the full collection, which is why I also did a Leshy run today. The last card I got was one of the basic moxen, so I discovered that the Steam achievement doesn’t actually require you to have all the starting deck cards, only the unlockable cards.
I picked up both keys in act 2, which presumably go with the locks I saw in my first act 3 playthrough. I suspect that leads to more info on the Kaycee/OLD_DATA plot. (Also, one of Grimora’s ghosts is named Kaycee Hobbes, which means nothing on your first playthrough, but seemed super messed up on the second, until she mentions later that she’s explicitly named after one of the in-universe game developers.)
Finally, I discovered an infinite bone combo during my Leshy run: Field Mice and Tomb Robber. This deck was nutty.

i'm curious to hear what you do actually ship
I sort of answered this with the bingos! Again, I’m down with Just About Anything so long as it’s fun thematically (and isn’t like. Nasty. Which I should desperately fucking hope is a given) but here’s a couple definite ones:
Scrybe Polycule: Do they have a name? I call them Polycards but I have no clue if there’s a more universally-decided-on one or not. I just really love the concept of the Scrybes having been really close before all the shit with the OLD_DATA went down. It’s far more interesting to me than all of them having been enemies from the get-go, the additional facet of seeing all the resentment they hold and knowing something must have happened here that broke everyone from the inside out. Plus it gives the fun little exploration opportunity of them first realizing the nature of their existence and sort of bonding over that, like “We’re alive and we’re going to be alive for a very, very long time and I would want nothing more than to spend that with you.” Going to keep this brief and stop myself here, but when I said I could probably write a 3-page essay on my thoughts on these guys… that’s about right.
Leshy x P03: Sort of the same as the reasons stated above, admittedly, but also because I’m a huge fan of narrative foils who are/once were in love. Massively clashing aesthetics/methodology with the same sort of ideals (which, again, also true for all four Scrybes, this is just on a more concentrated scale, for lack of a better word). It’s probably because—of the four Scrybes—these two get the most screen time and therefore are easily comparable, but I really think they could have had an iron grip on Inscryption if they managed to put their differences aside for a while, even if it just started “for the sake of the game”. (…If we’re going the funny route though its because I really like referencing the semi-canonical divorce.) Having said that, I’m open to any Scrybe x Scrybe parings/trios for the same sorts of reasons, this one just happens to be most interesting to me.
Rebecha & Sado: This one isn’t even necessarily a romantic one. I just think them being friends despite never interacting in canon (that we see; they could’ve interacted in Combat Arena X, Walk, or just in the Gameworks) is really funny. The most Normal person on the planet and Actual Murder Clown unstoppable duo. Rebecha is Completely unfazed by Sado’s antics and Sado is equally unbothered by the fact that Rebecha somehow hasn’t snapped yet. Win-win.
