I get riding hard for side characters, I really do. But what I don’t get is riding so hard for mediocre side characters and being aggressively insistent that they’re somehow better than the main cast who’ve actually been shown to grow, sacrifice, lead, and bleed.

Like yes, say the author did them dirty. Yes, want more for them. But shoving your fanon version of them down everyone else’s throat and acting like people are brainless for stanning canon characters who have literally held entire worlds together?? Be serious.

Not every side character is a misunderstood legend. Some are just… fine. And that’s okay. But don’t rewrite canon and then shame people for not reading your version of it.
