IRATI INORIZA Project: with(in), with(out) me @rekaldearetoa Until September 29th With curatorial text by Marc Vives Irati Inoriza’s exhibition was postponed due to the covid19 outbreak in Spain, it is now open on Sala Rekalde in Bilbao, as part of the Barriek Program associate to the Vizcay Visual Arts Grant Scheme. with (in), with (out) me. responds to the attraction that an image arouses, its signifiers (sign) and its effect (action). Developing research and archiving work on classical corporeities in Olympia (Greece), I located what is probably the first representation of contact between two human bodies in the West. A wrestling exercise is depicted on a Greek vessel. Unlike how the bodies had been represented until then, in this case the fighters are in contact, they are not isolated individuals: they are interacting corporeities.
